Description

Description
Apparatus for the storage of helmets and clothing or other accessories for motorcyclists Prior art
A frequent problem of the trunks on motorcycles and scooters is the little volume of stowage available. Often there is not space for two helmets or other items accessories such as jackets that protect from wind needed for the motorcyclist. So people, in the presence of trunks little capacious, and especially when these are not present on the motorbike, are forced to carry the helmet and the jacket that they usually have for to ride the motorbike or scooter.
Another problem is the fact that the helmet or garment or other items stowed in the trunk of the motorbike, they're not safe, because easily the trunk can be opened with a jimmy. Is not known to the applicants the presence, in a parking area for motorcycles, of an automated apparatus intended for the deposit of accessories worn while riding a motorcycle or scooter, notwithstanding that the use of motorcycles and scooters is now becoming more widespread.
Purpose of invention
Purpose of this invention is to realize an storage apparatus for helmets and motorcycle apparel having internal compartments completely independent, for helmets and jackets, that can be put in open places, such as car parks, squares or public roads, which has features of conceptual simplicity, to ensure functionality and ease of use by users, with a fully automatic operation.
Technical description
The features and advantages of an apparatus for motorcycle helmets and jackets or other accessories, according to the present invention, will become more evident from the following description and drawings attached, provided for the sole purpose of illustration and without limitation, in which:
the fig. 1 shows schematically, a transparent front view, with various components according to the present invention.
Figure 2 shows schematically, a transparent side view, with various components according to the present invention.
Figure 3 shows schematically, in a transparent top view, with various components, according to the present invention.
Figure 4 shows a front view, a conceptual representation of the apparatus, according to the present invention.
In accordance with the drawings, and in a preferred form of realization of this invention, it is denoted by (1) the latticework constituted by steel tubes that support the principal components of the apparatus, in particular the circular rotating storage unit (2) with various compartments; in a preferred form, there are sixteen compartments (3) for the helmets (4). An electric motor (5) rotates the rotating storage unit (2) in the vertical plane; the engine (5) transfers the motion by means of a pinion (6) and a driving chain (7) directly secured to the rotating storage unit (2).
Four rollers (8) positioned to contact with the peripheral surface and parallel to rotation axes of the rotating storage unit (2), and another eight rollers (9), of smaller dimensions, positioned in pairs, near the rollers (8), vertically, one on the front side and the other on the rear side of the rotating storage unit (2), they hold in position , during rotating motion of the rotating storage unit (2), avoiding oscillations.
The engine (5) is provided with an additional gear, speed reducer, to prevent the establishment of a centrifugal force and to avoid sudden gyrations that may damage the helmet inside the compartment.
With (10) is designated the central rotating storage unit of parallelepiped polygonal shaped, divided into various compartments for the storage of motorcycle clothing or other items; in a preferred form, the compartments (11) for storage of motorcycle clothing, are in number ten. The central rotating storage unit (10) is provided, for its movement in the horizontal plane, of an electric motor (12) mounted directly on the vertical axis of rotation (13).
The engine (12) is also fitted with an additional gear, speed reducer, to prevent the establishment of a centrifugal force sufficient to project the vests or other garment or objects, outside of the rotating storage unit (10) . The engines (5) and (12) are equipped with encoder for handling the exact positioning of the compartment, during the storage or withdrawal of the accessory, with the access hatch to the compartment.
For alignment the compartment with the access door, per each rotating storage unit, is required an independent rotation motion.
The rotating storage units (2) and (10) are placed inside a cylindrical container (14), made of welded steel sheets or in equally resistant materials; has two windows (15, 16) for extraction or storage of accessories for motorcyclist and, and access hatches for maintenance; the cylindrical container is anchored on plates bolted to the ground, so as to reduce or eliminate the attempts of shaking and overturning by vandals and prevent damage to the mechanics and electronics of the system.
The container has a compact form, armoured, able to withstand unfavourable climatic conditions and tampering; it is easily installed, functional and easy to use for the services for which is utilized; contains all the necessary mechanics and electronics devices for to operate safely from users.
The operation of the rotating storage units (2) and (10) are supplied via electric power with a link to a public or private network; an emergency battery also allows the use in case of temporary blackouts.
The rotating storage units (2) and (10) may contain a limited number of accessories , while users of parking facilities for motorcycles could be considerably of higher number. Then to the container (14) has been given a form that lends itself to being easily combined in a modular and independent form, while take up little space, and allow the installation of several modules to achieve the requirement of number of motorcycles parked there.
In one embodiment, the container has a footprint of about 2200x1100xh2250 mm.
The operation of the rotating storage unit are controlled by a PLC with user interface that consists of a control panel (17) and start buttons for storage, acceptance and extraction of accessories for motorcyclist.
The control panel is equipped with an emitter of tickets on which is printed the barcode that contains the news for localization of accessories for motorcyclist inside the rotating storage units (2) and (10).
The storage and withdrawal of helmets and clothing takes place by means of two independent windows (one for each rotating storage unit), from where it is possible deposit or withdraw one of the accessories, or both. In the case of multiple storage accessories, the storage and withdrawal are associated with a single user, and with one ticket the user can deposit or withdrawn.
Each compartment for storage of vests comes with a special hanger. The helmets are blocked in the compartment using a device of restrained.
The storage is operated using the Control Panel on which it is possible booked the deposit of one or more helmets and one or more jackets.
The booking for the storage is accomplished with independent keys, each pressed for a number of times corresponding to the apparel to storage; at the end of operations, it is necessary to accept the deposit and to produce a bar code ticket that determines where the accessories or accessory are stored, inside of compartment . At the time of start of operations, when it is booked the storage of the accessory or accessories, the access window to the storage compartment, itself unlocks and allows the user to access to the vacant position of the compartment, in order to make the storage of the accessory.
A reservation will correspond to a single accessory deposited.
Finished the first storage it is possible make the second storage, in the same way. At the end of storage, just press the appropriate key, on the control panel, to accept this deposit.
At this point the access door itself closes manually or automatically and expects the print and the release of the ticket with barcode, useful for the withdrawal.
For withdrawal of the accessories, just get back close to the control panel, with the ticket of withdrawal already validated, place it inside the slot on the control panel, and wait for that the compartments, where are deposited the clothes or helmets, after the unlocking, completely in automatic, one by one, are positioned and aligned at access window, so that it is possible the extraction of the own helmet or garment.
The ticket for the goods withdrawal is validated upon payment of service at the appropriate point indicated on the control panel.
To detect the presence and location of parking with storage apparatus, according to the present invention, an application for smartphones and tablets can be used, completely free of charge. This application will be set quickly on own navigation system, so that you can find the deposit apparatus at points close to the traveller, and be reached with ease.
