PLASTIC COVER FOR CANS WITH OPENER FOR OPENING
AND RE-CLOSURE
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention, more broadly belongs to the field of rigid or semi-rigid packaging for storage or shipping materials, i.e., covers for rigid packaging.
According to the International Patent Classification (IPC) the subject invention is classified and marked by the main classification symbol B65D 17/00 (2006.01 ) which is a definition for the special construction packaging opens by cutting, piercing or scrapping the parts of wall; as well as by the secondary symbol B65D 17/32 (2006.01 ) relating to the places of weakened hardness with an inseparable element or part; and by secondary classification symbol B65D 17/50 (2006.01 ) by which the breakable parts are defined as inseparable elements of packaging attached to the pre-made hole or placed in it, as for example plastic corks.
TECHNICAL PROBLEM
A technical problem solved by this invention is the following: how construct plastic cover for cans with opener for opening and re-closing to provide sealing in a way that consuming drinks keeps freshness and soda, stays sterile, while the cover construction stays simple, functional and applicable to the various types of cans.
BACKGROUND ART
According to the knowledge of the applicant, different construction solutions are applied for the covers of cans of different materials. Searching through patents and nonpatents documentation has been found documents with solutions for the given technical problem.
l It is known the solution in document RS 54107 B1 published on 30.10. 2015 and recorded as international application WO2010/000340 A1 , under the title "The can cover with rolling opener for opening and re-closing, as the can for soda with such re-closing cover and the manufacture process for can" consisting of the cover where the cover plate includes a removable portion surrounded by predetermined breaking line which is separable from the cover plate by the press portion of the opening and placing the opener in the opening position, so that opening is formed in the cover plate surrounded at the outer side by the wall in the predetermined line of breakage.
On the grip portion of the opening is formed one sealing element which, after the cover is guided into closing position by rotating, fits into the recess surrounded by the ring-wall and co-acts sealing with the inner face of the ring-wall along its outer sealing rim. The invention relates to a beverages can with such cover as well as to a method of manufacturing the cover.
Another solution is known from the document WO2011150456 A1 published 08.12. 2011 entitled "Container for drinks with the sealing cap" where the opening on the cover is with joint closure allowing sealing. The inner side of the cover has two concentric recesses which are in conjunction with the rim of the can congruent with diameters of the recess on the cover. The cover rim lowers down on a sufficient distance to provide a space to set the mark.
Another solution contained in the document FR 2736620 A1 is published 17.01.1997 with the tittle "Cover for beverage cans" in which the cover is cylindrical in shape and on the upper side has the opening that can be closed. The cover wall has larger diameter in the lover part and it abuts on the can. The pouring opening is covered by a grid and it can be closed by rotating cover in which is conical seal as the complementary shape of the hole. The cover can be applied to various sizes of cans and to close the can until its contents is consumed.
The aim of the subject invention is to solve all existing malfunctions of known solutions and with application of plastic cover with opener for opening and re-closing providing drinks to keep freshness and soda while consuming, as well as simple construction, functional and easy for use, and all this with improvement of hygienic conditions. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The essence of the present invention refers to a plastic cover for can with a can opener for opening and re-closing, which can solve the problem of opening and closing the cover of drinks for consumption which at the same time provides to sealing the can, sterility when consuming drinks, and the freshness of the contents is retained until emptied.
The invention contains the plastic cover set on the can. The cover is circle in shape and soft pressing on it makes firm and separable connection with can. At the cover outer side is movable opener which shorter end, oriented toward the centre, inseparably connected with the cover. Another end spreads symmetrically toward the cover rim, where is curved toward down so when closed it abuts to the analogous recess on the wall of the cover. On the inner side of the opener is designed outlet elliptical in shape which is complementary to the opening on the cover. The plastic cover on its inner side is divided by barriers, so two barriers are designed as recess in the shape of concentric circles, and two barriers are symmetrically positioned in relation with sides of opener and designed as recess in crescent shape.
According to this application of small patent, the invention has more advantages of which some are as follows:
• No physical contact with dirty can while drinking
• Maximum sealing the can so there is no leaking
• The drink keeps freshness and soda
• Designed opening for directing the liquid is isolated by the sharp tin opening
• Plane surface of the cover gives possibility for printing the mark
• The cover is possible to re-use

At one section of the wall 3 of the cover 2 is designed rectangular recess 5. On the cover 2 is done a trapezoidal opening 2' which shorter side is oriented toward its centre while in its extension integrally with cover 2 the movable trapezoidal opener 4 is done in accordance with the opening 2'so its length of the shorter side 4' is equal to approximately 1/3 of the cover 2 diameter. The opener 4 sides are spreading symmetrically toward the rim at an angle of 45°, and from the edge of the cover lower down forming the grip portion 3' with height equal to the one half of the wall 3, so in closed position the opener 4 abuts into the recess 5 of the cover 2, sealing at the same time the opening 2' which disables leaking of drinks and enables at the same time to keep freshness and soda. At the grip portion 3' of the opener 4 the ribs 9 are designed enabling its easier opening and closing when consuming beverage. In the central part of the opener 4, at the inner side is designed the elliptical recess 6 while at the cover 2 is designed the opening rim 6' of the same elliptical shape and analogous position with the recess 6. At the opening rim 6' is designed the recess 10 which lies toward the inner side of the can 1 and is of the same height as the recess 6 on the opener 4. When closing the opener 4 the recess 6 goes into the opening 6' and in that position with recess 10 makes the function of cork. At the inner side of the cover 2 two concentric barriers 7, T are designed in the shape of ring recess with diameter smaller than the cover 2 diameter, preventing the liquid leaking into the dirtiest channel on the can. At the inner side of the cover 2 symmetrically in relation to the sides of the opener 4 are designed two crescent barriers 8, 8' which edges are terminated by the barrier 7. The both barriers prevent unnecessary leaking of the content over the surface of the can 1.
The plastic cover 2 is manufactured of low density polyethylene.
The functioning mode of the plastic cover 2 for the can 1 with opener 4 for opening and closing, according to the invention is simple and in obvious way follows from the former description of the invention and the Figures of the plan, so it is not necessary to explain it particularly. However, it is necessary to emphasize for the application of the cover 2 is needed to remove the metal cover of the can 1 , and then on that opening put the plastic cover 2 and by gentle pressing make firm and separable connection with the can.
When consuming beverage using the grip portion 3' opens the opener 4 and after using closes it when the grip portion 3' pushes until abut into recess 5 in the wall 3 of the cover 2. The cover 2 is easy to remove from the can 1 and it is re-usable.
