Abstract

Un termo de agua eléctrico que comprende dos partes autónomas, que no están en contacto entre si: Un tanque de agua que tiene una placa de material ferromagnético en su base, y un módulo de inducción magnética con control variable de la potencia. Para operar el calentador de agua, el módulo de inducción se acopla a la base del tanque de agua, la energía se libera por inducción magnética desde el módulo de inducción externo hasta el material ferromagnético en la base del termo, el cual se calienta, calentando el agua en el interior del tanque. El hecho de que el módulo de inducción esté físicamente separado del tanque de agua, conlleva que la electricidad no puede estar en contacto con el agua, en ningún momento, con lo que la seguridad del termo contra descargas eléctricas es total. El diseño permite que varios módulos de inducción se conecten en paralelo para tanques de mayor volumen de agua. Un sistema de detección de la temperatura sin contacto del agua en el depósito garantiza la total estanqueidad del agua con respecto a la electricidad. Al ser el módulo de inducción de control de potencia variable permite o bien limitar la potencia eléctrica que llega a la bobina manualmente, o bien alternar automáticamente la potencia eléctrica en función de las necesidades del usuario y en aras a una mayor programabilidad y mayor ahorro eléctrico.
