The entire disclosure of this Japanese application is incorporated herein by reference. As part of the disclosure.
The present invention relates to a hydration agent that contains milk protein, sodium, carbohydrates, and stabilizers as active ingredients and is acidic.
Dehydration and heat stroke are likely to occur not only during exercise and work in hot weather, but also in daily indoor activities such as sleep, in a hot and humid environment. In particular, elderly people whose body fluids (the total amount of water in the body including water and electrolytes) are decreasing, and the amount of food important for water intake tends to decrease, and children who are susceptible to temperature (age 0-15) ), It is difficult to notice that dehydration is occurring, and gradually becoming dehydration, so-called heat stroke from hide dehydration is a serious problem.
In order to prevent heat stroke, it is necessary to efficiently release (dissipate) heat generated by exercise, work, daily activities, etc. to the outside of the body and adjust body temperature. This heat dissipation is accompanied by an increase in the blood flow rate of the skin for the purpose of heat dissipation due to heat conduction to the outside air and an increase in the amount of perspiration for the purpose of heat dissipation due to the evaporation of sweat. Therefore, for measures against heat stroke (prevention and alleviation), it is necessary to quickly replenish and retain water in the body.
Milk has excellent ability to retain ingested water, but casein, which is a component of milk, solidifies in the stomach, causing slower gastric emptying and slower water absorption into the body than water and sports drinks. There was a problem with.
On the other hand, sports drinks containing carbohydrates and electrolytes are often used for the purpose of replenishing carbohydrates consumed by exercise and electrolytes lost by sweating, and the effectiveness of hydration has been reported so far (for example, Non-Patent Documents 1 and 2). However, these sports drinks are not necessarily sufficient from the viewpoint of maintaining moisture in the body for a long time, and are reported to be inferior to milk (for example, see Non-Patent Document 3).
Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) is a beverage developed to treat dehydration in cholera that causes diarrhea that loses a large amount of sodium. It is a beverage containing a lot of sodium and is often adjusted to be hypotonic (hypotonic solution) having a lower osmotic pressure than body fluid. However, oral rehydration designed for the treatment of pathological dehydration, such as vomiting and diarrhea, can be used in hydration in healthy people's exercise, work, and daily activities. In the long term, it may induce hypertension.

Patent Document 2 discloses an acidic protein composition containing a protein derived from an aqueous protein isolate. An object of the present invention is to provide a hydration agent having a property of rapidly absorbing water into a living body.
The present inventors have found that when a mixture containing milk protein, sodium, carbohydrates, and stabilizers as active ingredients and made acidic is ingested with water, the water is immediately taken into the living body. A replenisher was developed. It was also unexpectedly found that this hydration agent is not excreted as urine even when the taken-in water elapses for a long time and can retain water in the body for a long time. The present invention is based on these findings.

If the amount of plasma is high when the test solution is ingested as compared to the case of ingesting water, it can be determined that it is significant (for example, see Test Example 1 below). More specifically, the hydration effect can be confirmed from the plasma volume change rate (%).
The water retention effect (action, function) means that most of the water taken simultaneously or separately with the hydration agent of the present invention (or hydration retention agent) can be retained in the body for a long time without being discharged as urine. Means. The water retention action can be confirmed by, for example, a comparative test of rat urinary excretion. Specifically, in the time after intake of the test liquid and distilled water, the same amount as the water of the test liquid. It can be determined that the amount of urinary excretion is small when the test solution is ingested compared to the case of ingesting distilled water (for example, see Test Example 2 below). Here, when distilled water is ingested, about 80% of the ingested amount is excreted as urine in about 2 hours after ingestion. More specifically, the water retention action can be confirmed from the water retention rate, and the water retention rate (%) can be determined from the formula 1: [1- (urine excretion / intake)] × 100. Can be calculated.

Here, the ratio of the weight of casein protein and whey protein in the hydration agent of the present invention is, for example, 20: 1, 15: 1, 12: 1, 10 as (casein protein) :( whey protein). : 1, 9: 1, 8: 1, 7: 1, 6: 1, 5: 1, 4: 1, 3: 1, 2: 1, 1: 1, 1: 2, 1: 3, 1: 4 1: 5, 1: 6, 1: 7, 1: 8, 1: 9, 1:10, 1:12, 1:15, 1:20. That is, the ratio of the weight of casein protein to whey protein in the hydration agent of the present invention is, for example, 20 to 1: 1 to 20, preferably 15 to 1: 1 as (casein protein) :( whey protein). To 15, more preferably 12 to 1: 1 to 12, more preferably 10 to 1: 1 to 10, more preferably 9 to 1: 1 to 9, more preferably 8 to 1: 1 to 8, and more preferably 7 to 1: 1 to 7, more preferably 6 to 1: 1 to 6, more preferably 5 to 1: 1 to 5, more preferably 4 to 1: 1 to 4, more preferably 3 to 1: 1 to 3, more preferably 2 to 1: 1 to 2.

In the hydration agent of the present invention, the water content can be adjusted as appropriate so that the amount of ingested meal is, for example, 200 to 1000 ml, preferably 400 to 1000 ml when prepared as a mixture containing water. it can.
According to another aspect of the present invention, for example, the hydration agent of the present invention comprises a unit package form per serving, and the milk package, sodium, carbohydrate, and stabilizer are contained in the unit package form. The meal intake is adjusted to, for example, 1 to 26 g, preferably adjusted to 4 to 26 g, and in another aspect, preferably 2 to 16 g, more preferably 2 to 13 g, and still more preferably Is adjusted to 2 to 11 g. Here, `` consisting of a unit packaging form per meal '' is a form in which the intake amount per meal is determined in advance, for example, as a food and drink that can be taken orally in a specific amount, not only general foods, It means forms such as beverages (drinks, etc.), health supplements, health functional foods, and supplements. In "unit packaging form per meal", for example, in the case of liquid beverages, gel-like, paste-like, or paste-like jelly, powder-like, granule-like, capsule-like, or block-like solid foods, etc. , Metal cans, glass bottles (such as bottles), plastic containers (such as plastic bottles), packs, pouches, film containers, packaging containers such as paper boxes, etc. , Dose) can be specified on a packaging container or a homepage, and the specific amount can be specified. In other words, the heat replenishment agent of the present invention is more specifically heat sterilized (LTLT treatment: low temperature and long time heating) at 62 to 65 ° C. for 30 minutes, or As a method having a sterilizing effect of the same degree or more, for example, heat sterilization (UHT treatment: ultra-high temperature heating) at 120 to 150 ° C. for 1 to 30 seconds, or heat sterilization (HTST treatment: 72 ° C. for 15 seconds or more): This means that the protein is not easily heat denatured even if it is heated at high temperature for a short time or sterilized by heating at 75 ° C. or higher for 15 minutes or longer. At this time, the heat sterilization method includes a batch type in which the processing liquid is heated and held using a tank or the like, an indirect heating type using a plate type heat exchanger or a tube type heat exchanger, and a steam injection type heating device. And a known method such as a direct heating method using a steam infusion type heating device or a current heating method using a Joule heating device can be used.
