Definitions
- Embodiments of the present invention relate to a nozzle head and an electrospinning apparatus.
- an electrospinning apparatus that deposits fine fibers on the surface of a member by an electrospinning method (also referred to as an electrospinning method, a charge induction spinning method, or the like).
- the electrospinning apparatus is provided with a nozzle for discharging the raw material liquid.
- productivity can be improved by increasing the number of nozzles. Therefore, a needle-type nozzle head having a plurality of needle-like nozzles and a plate-like blade-type nozzle head provided with a plurality of nozzle holes have been proposed.
- the needle-type nozzle head tends to cause electric field concentration at the tip of the needle-like nozzle, the electric field strength can be increased. Therefore, the drive voltage can be lowered.
- the needle-type nozzle head has a problem that it is difficult to remove the raw material liquid adhering to the tip of the needle-like nozzle (cleaning is difficult).
- the blade-type nozzle head has a plate-like portion provided with a plurality of nozzle holes, so that it is easy to remove the attached raw material liquid (easy to clean).
- the portion where the plurality of nozzle holes are provided is plate-like, so that electric field concentration is less likely to occur. If the electric field concentration does not easily occur, the electric field strength cannot be increased. Therefore, the blade type nozzle head has a problem that the drive voltage becomes high. Accordingly, it has been desired to develop a nozzle head and an electrospinning apparatus that can reduce the driving voltage and have excellent cleaning properties.
- the problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a nozzle head and an electrospinning apparatus that can reduce the driving voltage and have excellent cleaning properties.
- the nozzle head according to the embodiment includes a main body having a space for storing a raw material liquid therein, and is electrically conductive, connected to the main body, and discharges the raw material liquid stored in the main body.

- the nozzle 20 has a needle shape. Inside the nozzle 20, a hole for discharging the raw material liquid is provided. The hole for discharging the raw material liquid passes through between the end of the nozzle 20 on the connection portion 21 side and the end (tip) of the nozzle 20 on the side where the raw material liquid is discharged. An opening of the hole provided in the nozzle 20 on the side from which the raw material liquid is discharged becomes a discharge port 20a.
- the cross-sectional dimension of the nozzle 20 is not particularly limited, but a smaller cross-sectional dimension is preferable. If the cross-sectional dimension is reduced, electric field concentration is likely to occur in the vicinity of the discharge port 20a of the nozzle 20. If electric field concentration occurs in the vicinity of the discharge port 20a of the nozzle 20, the strength of the electric field formed between the nozzle 20 and the collector 51 can be increased. Therefore, the voltage applied by the power supply 4 can be lowered. That is, the drive voltage can be reduced. In this case, the cross-sectional dimension of the nozzle 20 can be about 1 mm, for example.

- the nozzle 20 is made of a conductive material. It is preferable that the material of the nozzle 20 has conductivity and resistance to the raw material liquid.
- the nozzle 20 can be formed from, for example, stainless steel.
- connection portion 21 is provided between the nozzle 20 and the main body portion 22.
- the connecting portion 21 is not always necessary, and the nozzle 20 may be provided directly on the main body portion 22.
- Inside the connection portion 21 a hole for supplying the raw material liquid from the main body portion 22 to the nozzle 20 is provided.
- the hole provided in the connection part 21 is connected to the hole provided in the nozzle 20 and the space provided in the main body part 22.

- the nozzle 20 since the nozzle 20 has a needle shape, the strength is low. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the plurality of nozzles 20 one by one. As a result, the time required for cleaning becomes longer. Further, the cleaning work becomes complicated. Furthermore, when the raw material liquid adhering to the vicinity of the end portions of the plurality of nozzles 20 is directly wiped, the nozzles 20 may be bent or the nozzles 20 may be damaged. In this case, if the nozzle 20 is bent, the deposit 110 may not be formed in the intended region. Therefore, a cover 23 that covers the plurality of nozzles 20 is provided.
- the cover 23 illustrated in FIG. 1 is provided so as to cover the plurality of nozzles 20 and the plurality of connection portions 21.

If the intrusion dimension from 23a becomes too long), electric field concentration is less likely to occur at the end of the nozzle 20.
- the distance between the end portion of the nozzle 20 on the side where the raw material liquid is discharged and the end surface 23a of the cover 23 on the side where the raw material liquid is discharged is 1 mm or less.
