- the invention relates the professional application of polyurethane foam from an application gun, onto which doses with this foam are mounted.
- the foam can be applied by simple extensions from the dose, but because the dose has to be positioned bottom up, it is laborious. Therefore, among the professionals years ago the application guns are widespread, which have in the upper part a clamping ring head for installation of the dose and the operator can comfortably apply the foam by pulling the trigger. Inside the application gun there is a firm wire ending in the nozzle, which is screwed on at the end of the outlet tube of the gun and the wire closes or opens end opening in the nozzle, so it is used as a valve of the whole application gun.
- Such guns with said nozzle are known from the document W091/16139.
- the nozzle is provided with a short cylindrical extension which is on the surface provided with corrugations on which a common straight plastic application tube can be brought on, so the reach of the foam can be increased.
- the length of the outlet tube is commonly about 20 cm.
- the outlet tube has usually two diameters. At the beginning there is the larger one and at the end is the smaller one, on which the above mentioned the nozzle is mounted. All this allows the greatest distance, where the foam can be applied.
- the present inventor disclosed in the document CZ 28468 U1 a general idea, how to use his solution in the form of an elongated flexible extension for application of the polyurethane foam into uneasy accessible places, e.g. under the ceiling, which is impossible by conventional means, also for application guns.
- the aim of the invention is to introduce a nozzle, which would allow the mounting of an elongated flexible extension onto the application gun for professionals and simultaneously to introduce a gun which would allow to work comfortably with extended flexible extension and which would allow easy and secure mounting and fixation of this extension.
- a nozzle for application gun for application of polyurethane foam which principle consists in that the nozzle is provided with a stabilization anchorage element cooperating with an anchorage element of the cooperating flexible tube extension mountable instead of the mentioned common plastic tube, wherein the length of the ending part of the nozzle is 10 to 18 mm.
- the stabilization anchorage element is designed as a thread provided on the outer surface of the ending functional part.
- the thread is designed as a worm thread with big lead, which corresponds with the lead of the thread inside of the entering part of the swinging controler for release of the foam liquid directly from the dose.
- the ending functional part is in the direction to the outlet tube terminated by a concave sealing block.
- a middle threaded portion with another metric thread is provided and the thread is of greater diameter then the thread of the end functional part.
- Another subject of the invention is an application gun for fastening of the flexible extension for application of polyurethane foam into uneasy accessible places, the gun comprising the termination tube and the gun is terminated with the nozzle and inside the gun a valve closing wire is led, wherein on the end of the termination tube of the gun the above mentioned nozzle is firmly mounted whereas the distance from the centre of the foam inlet pipe of the foam to the end of the whole termination tube together with the nozzle is at most 12 cm or the nozzle is together with the termination tube designed as one piece.

- This thread 7 corresponds with the thread on the outlet valve 16 of the dose 9.
- the dose 9 is shown in Fig.2, completely in the whole assembly also together with the flexible extension 1. It is obvious, that such flexible extension 1 terminated by a hand operated swinging controller 2 is originally foreseen for the application of the foam directly from the dose 9 without use of any professional gun.
- the solution was to amend the existing professional gun 10 provided by a nozzle 11 according to the invention.
- Such gun 10 is shown in Fig.3.
- the gun 10 has only short outlet tube 12, usually from the steel and this is screwed in the termination tube 15 of the gun, wherein the outlet tube 12, even also with the nozzle 11, is more times shorter then the outlet tube of common guns.
- the distance D from the axe of the foam feeding inlet pipe 13 and the end of the whole outlet tube together with the nozzle is at most 12 cm, advantageously 7 cm. At the common gun this distance is about 21 cm. It is 3x shorter.
- Inside of the nozzle 11 there is au standard closing valve wire 21 , but in this case adequate shortened.
- the nozzle 11 can be made by machining or made as a cast piece.
- a tool for work with the flexible extension 1 is the thread 14 on the outer surface of the end functional part 17 of the nozzle 11.
- this thread 14 which is advantageously made as an worm thread with big lead, which corresponds with the lead of the thread 7 on the swinging controller 2 of the flexible extension 1 enables, that the mentioned flexible extention 1 can be, without any amendments, mounted up safely also on the gun 10.
- Fig.4 there is the first embodiment of the nozzle 11 of the gun 10 for application of the PL) foam according to the invention in the basic first advantageous embodiment, it means as an end piece together with the outlet tube 12 made from one piece of material to be screwed into the plastic body of the gun in its end portion 5.
- the lenght L of the ending portion is up to 10 mm
- the lenght L is in the range of 10 to 18 mm.
- the optimum upper limit seems to be the lenght of 15 mm.
- Such nozzle 11 is therefore universal, because if the flexible extension 1 is not necessary for the work anymore, it is possible to unmantle it and a common plastic application tube can be mounted, or it is possible to work with the gun without any extensions as with any other common gun with long outlet tube.
- Inner thread 7 in the inlet cylindrical hollow 6 is provided by standard swinging controllers 2 because due to it, the swinging controller 2 is mounted directly on the valve of the dose 9.
- worm thread 14 an international standard metric thread can be made on the nozzle 1 , and such thread will be cut into the cylindrical hollow 6 because it is from metal, but some force will be necessary and it is important to keep the axis aligned to each other to prevent deformation of the inlet part into the swinging controller 2.
- nozzle 11 is provided by an outer thread and this is screwed into the inner thread in the outlet tube 12.
- nozzle 11 is provided by a nut 20 with inner thread and this is screwed on the outer thread on the outlet tube 12.
- the manipulation shoulders 8 of the swinging controller serve as levers for screwing in and out of the swinging conroler 2 and due to the angle between the inlet cylindrical hollow 6 and connection socket 3 of the swinging controller 2 has the bend of the flexible extension 1 optimal shape geometry.
- Fig.8 there is an universal variant of a nozzle 11' with additional middle threaded portion 31.
- this embodiment there is another metric thread 32 provided on this middle threaded portion 31 and there is advantageously a cylindrical part 33 which is provided between end of the middle threaded portion 31 and of the nut 20 of the nozzle 11'.
- This thread 32 is of greater diameter then the thread 14 of the end functional part 17.
- This additional thread 32 allows to use the nozzle 11' also for installation of a reinforced tube 5' with the reinforcement wire 4' placed completely inside the wall of such tube 5' - see Fig.10.
- concave sealing lock 18 instead of concave sealing lock 18, there is analogical lock 18' for preventing of further movement of the swinging controller 2.
- Fig.9 there is the same nozzle 11' as on Fig.8 but with mounted reinforced tube 5' with the reinforcement wire 4' placed completely inside the wall of such tube 5'.
- Such tube 5' can be easy screwed on the metric thread 32 on the middle threaded portion 31. This connection seems to be sufficient because the thread 32 has a little bit greater diameter than is the inner diameter of the reinforced tube 5'.
- Such connection is tight and leakproof and the reinforced tube can be easy replaced when the foam becomes hard.
- a clamping nut 35 Over the nozzle 11' with mounted tube 5' which is screwed or drawn on, a clamping nut 35 can be placed, which is displayed in detail in Fig.11. It has a clamping part 36 and a tightening nut 37. It is a standard product. A socket 34 of the clamping part 36, which is threaded on its outer surface, is mounted on the cylindrical part 33 with its clamping sleeve 38. In this embodiment, the tightening nut 37 is provided with a flexible hollow extension 39 to ensure that the tube 5' does not break upon outlet from the nozzle 11'.
- Fig. 12 illustrates the whole assembly of the application gun 10' with the nozzle 11' depicted in Fig. 8 with mounted simplified flexible extention tube 1' consisting only of the reinforced tube 5' with wire 4' inside of its wall depicted in Fig.9.
- the reinforced tube 5' is advantageously screwed on the thread 32 which has a little bit greater diameter than is the inner diameter of the reinforced tube 5'. Such connection is tight and leakproof and the reinforced tube can be easy replaced when the foam becomes hard.
