The present invention provides a sludge fermentation and weight reduction apparatus comprising: a fermentation tank into which sludge is fed and of which the lower part is formed in a funnel shape; a pipe shaft vertically provided at the center of the fermentation tank, and having a transfer screw provided at one side thereof and a plurality of air discharge holes formed on the outer peripheral surface thereof; a transfer pipe provided at the center of the fermentation tank so as to accommodate the transfer screw; a blower provided in the fermentation tank so as to supply air to the pipe shaft; a motor disposed to be spaced apart from the fermentation tank, so as to transmit rotation power to the pipe shaft; and stirring blades coupled to the other side of the pipe shaft. The present invention comprising the aforementioned components has air supply holes formed on the pipe shaft including the transfer screw, thereby enabling a stirring function and an air supply function to be simultaneously performed.
