- a plurality of PDCCHs may be transmitted in the control region.
- the terminal may monitor the plurality of PDCCHs.
- the PDCCH is transmitted on an aggregation of one or a plurality of consecutive CCEs (consecutive control channel elements).
- the CCE is a logical allocation unit used to provide a PDCCH of a predetermined coding rate according to the state of a radio channel.
- the CCE corresponds to a plurality of resource element groups (REGs).
- the format of the PDCCH and the number of bits of the available PDCCH are determined according to the correlation between the number of CCEs and the code rate provided by the CCEs.
- the base station determines the PDCCH format according to the DCI to be transmitted to the terminal, and adds a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) to the control information.
- the CRC is masked with a unique identifier (referred to as a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI)) depending on the owner of the PDCCH or the intended use.

- CCEs Control Channel Elements
- the four resource elements are referred to as resource element groups (REGs).
- Four QPSK symbols are mapped to one REG.
- the resource element allocated to the reference signal is not included in the REG, so that the total number of REGs within a given OFDM symbol depends on the presence of a cell-specific reference signal.
- REG is also used for other downlink control channels (PCFICH and PHICH). That is, REG is used as a basic resource unit of the control region.
- PCFICH downlink control channels
- PHICH PHICH
- PDCCH format Number of CCEs (n) Number of REGs Number of PDCCH bits 0 One 9 72 One 2 8 144 2 4 36 288 3 5 72 576
- a PDCCH with a format consisting of n CCEs can only start with a CCE having the same number as a multiple of n.
- the number of CCEs used for transmission of a specific PDCCH is determined by the base station according to channel conditions. For example, if the PDCCH is for a terminal having a good downlink channel (eg, close to a base station), one CCE may be sufficient. However, in case of a terminal having a bad channel (eg, close to a cell boundary), eight CCEs may be used to obtain sufficient robustness.
- the power level of the PDCCH may be adjusted according to channel conditions.
- the approach introduced in LTE is to define a limited set of CCE locations where the PDCCH can be located for each terminal.
- the limited set of CCE locations where the UE can find its own PDCCH may be referred to as a search space (SS).
- the search space has a different size according to each PDCCH format.
- UE-specific and common search spaces are defined separately.
- the UE-Specific Search Space (USS) is set individually for each terminal, and the range of the Common Search Space (CSS) is known to all terminals.
- UE-specific and common search spaces may overlap for a given terminal.
- the base station may not find CCE resources for transmitting the PDCCH to all possible UEs.
- the UE-specific hopping sequence is applied to the start position of the UE-specific search space in order to minimize the possibility of the above blocking leading to the next subframe.
- Table 3 shows the sizes of common and UE-specific search spaces.
- the terminal In order to keep the computational load according to the total number of blind decoding (BD) under control, the terminal is not required to simultaneously search all defined DCI formats.
- the terminal In general, within a UE-specific search space, the terminal always searches for formats 0 and 1A. Formats 0 and 1A have the same size and are distinguished by flags in the message.
- the terminal may be required to receive the additional format (eg, 1, 1B or 2 depending on the PDSCH transmission mode set by the base station).
- the UE searches for formats 1A and 1C.
- the terminal may be configured to search for format 3 or 3A.
- Formats 3 and 3A have the same size as formats 0 and 1A and can be distinguished by scrambled CRCs with different (common) identifiers, rather than terminal-specific identifiers.
- PDSCH transmission schemes according to transmission modes and information contents of DCI formats are listed below.
- Transmission mode 1 Transmission from a single base station antenna port
- Transmission mode 4 closed-loop spatial multiplexing
- Transmission Mode 7 Single-antenna Port (Port 5) Transmission

- Format 1B Compact resource allocation for PDSCH (mode 6) using rank-1 closed-loop precoding
- Format 1D compact resource allocation for PDSCH (mode 5) using multi-user MIMO
- EPDCCH is a channel further introduced in LTE-A.

- FIG. 6 illustrates a structure of an uplink subframe used in LTE (-A).
- the subframe 500 is composed of two 0.5 ms slots 501. Assuming the length of a Normal Cyclic Prefix (CP), each slot consists of seven symbols 502 and one symbol corresponds to one SC-FDMA symbol.
- the resource block (RB) 503 is a resource allocation unit corresponding to 12 subcarriers in the frequency domain and one slot in the time domain.
- the structure of an uplink subframe of LTE (-A) is largely divided into a data region 504 and a control region 505.
- the data area means a communication resource used in transmitting data such as voice and packet transmitted to each terminal, and includes a PUSCH (Physical Uplink Shared Channel).
- PUSCH Physical Uplink Shared Channel
- the control region means a communication resource used to transmit an uplink control signal, for example, a downlink channel quality report from each terminal, a received ACK / NACK for an uplink signal, an uplink scheduling request, and a PUCCH (Physical Uplink). Control Channel).
- the sounding reference signal (SRS) is transmitted through an SC-FDMA symbol located last on the time axis in one subframe. SRSs of multiple terminals transmitted in the last SC-FDMA of the same subframe can be distinguished according to frequency location / sequence.
- the SRS is used to transmit an uplink channel state to a base station, and is periodically transmitted according to a subframe period / offset set by a higher layer (eg, an RRC layer), or aperiodically at the request of the base station.
- the transmission of the uplink radio frame i starts before (N TA + N TAoffset ) * T s seconds before the downlink radio frame.
- N TAoffset 0 in FDD
- N TAoffset 624 in TDD.
- the N TAoffset value is a value previously recognized by the base station and the terminal. If N TA is indicated through a timing advance command in the random access procedure, the UE adjusts a transmission timing of a UL signal (eg, PUCCH / PUSCH / SRS) through the above equation.
- the UL transmission timing is set in multiples of 16T s .
- the timing advance command indicates a change in the UL timing based on the current UL timing.
- the timing advance command received in subframe n is applied from subframe n + 6. In the case of FDD, as illustrated, the transmission time of UL subframe n is advanced based on the start time of DL subframe n. On the other hand, in the case of TDD, the transmission time of the UL subframe n is advanced based on the end time of the DL subframe n + 1 (not shown).
- the base station selects a terminal to transmit data for each transmission time interval (TTI) (eg, subframe).
- TTI transmission time interval
- the base station selects terminals to transmit data in uplink / downlink for each TTI and selects a frequency band used by the terminal for data transmission.
- UEs transmit reference signals (or pilots) in uplink, and the base station determines the channel state of the UEs using the reference signals transmitted from the UEs in each unit frequency band for each TTI.
- the base station informs the terminal of this result. That is, the base station transmits an uplink assignment message for transmitting data using a specific frequency band to an uplink scheduled terminal in a specific TTI.
- the uplink assignment message is also referred to as a UL grant.
- the terminal transmits data in the uplink according to the uplink assignment message.

- MCS Modulation and Coding Scheme
- RV Redundancy Version
- NDI New Data Indicator
- the retransmission time is systematically promised (eg, 4 subframes after the NACK reception time). Therefore, the UL grant message transmitted from the base station to the terminal only needs to be transmitted during initial transmission, and subsequent retransmission is performed by an ACK / NACK signal (eg, PHICH signal).
- the base station since the retransmission time is not promised to each other, the base station should send a retransmission request message to the terminal.
- the retransmission request message may include a terminal ID, RB allocation information, HARQ process ID / number, RV, NDI information.
- the UL HARQ scheme uses synchronous non-adaptive HARQ.
- the HARQ process number is given from 0 to 7.

- the base station 110 generates ACK / NACK after decoding uplink data received from the terminal 120. If decoding on the uplink data fails, the base station 110 transmits a NACK to the terminal 120 (S604). The terminal 120 retransmits uplink data after 4 subframes from the time point of receiving the NACK (S606). Initial transmission and retransmission of uplink data is in charge of the same HARQ processor (eg, HARQ process 4). ACK / NACK information may be transmitted through PHICH.

- Configuration for the presence or absence of CIF in the PDCCH may be semi-statically enabled by higher layer signaling (eg, RRC signaling) to be UE-specific (or UE group-specific).
- RRC signaling e.g., RRC signaling
- ⁇ CIF disabled The PDCCH on the DL CC allocates PDSCH resources on the same DL CC and PUSCH resources on a single linked UL CC.

- License bands include frequency bands occupied for a particular use.
- licensed bands include government-assigned frequency bands for cellular communication (eg, LTE frequency bands).
- An unlicensed band is a frequency band occupied for public use and is also referred to as a license-free band.
- Unlicensed bands can be used by anyone without permission or notification if they meet the conditions for radio regulations.
- Unlicensed bands are distributed or designated for use by anyone in a specific area or near a building within the output range that does not interfere with other wireless stations' communication. have.
- LTE systems are also considering ways to utilize unlicensed bands (eg, 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands) used by existing WiFi systems for traffic offloading.
- the unlicensed band assumes a method of wireless transmission and reception through competition between communication nodes, so that each communication node performs channel sensing (CS) before transmitting signals so that other communication nodes do not transmit signals. Asking for confirmation.
- This is called a clear channel assessment (CCA)
- a base station or a terminal of an LTE system may need to perform a CCA for signal transmission in an unlicensed band.
- the unlicensed band used in the LTE-A system is referred to as LTE-U band / band.
- the CCA threshold is defined as -62 dBm for non-WiFi signals and -82 dBm for WiFi signals. Therefore, when a signal other than WiFi is received with a power of -62 dBm or more, the STA (Station) / AP (Access Point) does not transmit a signal in order not to cause interference.
- the STA / AP may perform CCA and perform signal transmission unless it detects a signal higher than the CCA threshold more than 4 us.
- FIG. 11 illustrates carrier merging of a licensed band and an unlicensed band.
- a base station under a carrier aggregation situation of a licensed band (hereinafter, LTE-A band and L-band) and an unlicensed band (hereinafter, LTE-U band, and U-band), a base station transmits a signal to a terminal, A signal can be sent to the base station.
- the central carrier or frequency resource of the licensed band may be interpreted as PCC or PCell
- the central carrier or frequency resource of the unlicensed band may be interpreted as SCC or SCell.
- the base station and the terminal In order for the base station and the terminal to communicate in the LTE-U band, the base station and the terminal should be able to occupy / secure the corresponding band for a specific time period through competition with other communication (eg, WiFi) systems irrelevant to the LTE-A.
- the time period occupied / obtained for cellular communication in the LTE-U band is called a reserved resource period (RPP).
- RRP reserved resource period
- the base station may continuously transmit RS and data signals within the RRP interval in order to continuously transmit a signal above a specific power level during the RRP interval. If the base station has previously determined the RRP interval to be occupied on the LTE-U band, the base station may inform the terminal in advance so that the terminal may maintain the communication transmission / reception link for the indicated RRP interval. As a method of informing the terminal of the RRP interval information, it is possible to transmit the RRP time interval information through another CC (eg, LTE-A band) connected in the form of carrier aggregation.
- another CC eg, LTE-A band
- an RRP interval consisting of M consecutive SFs may be set.
- one RRP interval may be set to a discontinuously existing SF set (not shown).

- the start time of the RRP interval may be periodically set by higher layer (eg, RRC or MAC) signaling.
- the start point of the RRP interval may be designated through physical layer signaling (eg, (E) PDCCH) in SF #n or SF # (nk). . k is a positive integer (eg 4).
- the RRP may be configured such that the SF boundary and the SF number / index are configured to match the PCell (hereinafter, aligned-RRP) (FIG. 12), or the SF boundary or SF number / index is not supported to the PCell.

- UCell A serving cell operating in an unlicensed band
- the center frequency of the UCell is defined as (DL / UL) UCC.
- the case in which the UCell is scheduled from the same cell and the case in which the UCell is scheduled from another cell are referred to as self-CC scheduling and cross-CC scheduling, respectively.
- each DL / UL grant DCI schedules one DL / UL data channel (eg, PDSCH / PUSCH) transmitted through a single DL / UL SF.
- one DL / UL grant DCI in order to reduce DCI overhead associated with data scheduling, simultaneously schedules a plurality of DL / UL data channels transmitted through multiple DL / UL SFs.
- the multi-SF scheduling scheme may further highlight the need and advantages in terms of system operation (eg, UL scheduling) on an unlicensed band (ie, U-band). In summary, this is as follows.
- a plurality of UL SFs may be scheduled when a base station acquires DL radio channel once (based on CCA for UCell). It may be advantageous to be able.
- the UCell is configured to cross-CC schedule from the TDD LCell, it may be advantageous to apply a multi-SF scheduling scheme so that all UCell resources can be used as UL SF.
- UCell has a characteristic that the DL / UL SF is configured aperiodic / opportunity according to the CCA results of the base station / terminal. Therefore, for the UCell UL, not the synchronous HARQ scheme supporting PHICH-based non-adaptive automatic retransmission, the asynchronous HARQ scheme performing only UL grant-based adaptive retransmission without PHICH reference. This can be applied.
- a specific (periodic) UL SF set constitutes one UL HARQ process, and a redundancy version (RV) is automatically determined according to the SF number (with a predefined pattern) without additional signaling.
- RV redundancy version
- the UL HARQ process ID and the RV may be directly signaled through the UL grant DCI.

- the resource block allocation and hopping resource allocation fields may have different bit sizes according to a hopping PUSCH or a non-hoppping PUSCH.
- Resource block allocation and hopping resource allocation fields for the non-hoping PUSCH Provides bits to the resource allocation of the first slot in the uplink subframe.
- N UL RB is the number of resource blocks included in an uplink slot and is dependent on an uplink transmission bandwidth configured in a cell. Therefore, the payload size of DCI format 0 may vary depending on the uplink bandwidth.
- DCI format 1A includes an information field for PDSCH allocation, and the payload size of DCI format 1A may also vary according to downlink bandwidth.
- DCI format 1A provides reference information bit size for DCI format 0. Thus, if the number of information bits of DCI format 0 is less than the number of information bits of DCI format 1A, '0' is added to DCI format 0 until the payload size of DCI format 0 is equal to the payload size of DCI format 1A. Is added. The added '0' is filled in the padding field of the DCI format.

- the terminal may transmit the SRS only once through the pre-designated subframe in the plurality of subframes (S1504).
- the pre-specified subframe may include a first subframe scheduled for UL transmission or a last subframe scheduled for UL transmission in the plurality of subframes.
- the plurality of subframes may mean a maximum subframe period in which multi-SF scheduling can be performed, or a subframe period in which multi-SF scheduling is actually applied within a maximum subframe period in which multi-SF scheduling is performed. Can be.
- Information indicating the number / section of the plurality of subframes (ie, Nsf) may be included in the multi-SF grant DCI.
- the terminal may perform a plurality of UL transmissions (eg, PUSCH transmissions) in a plurality of subframes based on UL scheduling information in the multi-SF grant DCI.
- the multi-SF grant DCI may include UL scheduling information for a plurality of subframes on the UCell, and the SRS may be transmitted on the UCell.
- multi-SF grant DCI may be received on a UCell or LCell (eg, PCell).
- the wireless communication system can also include an LTE LAA-based wireless communication system.
- the UL SF time point to which the DAI value (which may correspond to content type 2) in the multi-SF grant DCI is applied (eg, the HARQ-ACK payload size transmitted on the PUSCH is determined based on the corresponding DAI value).
- the HARQ-ACK payload size transmitted on the PUSCH in the remaining UL SFs in the multi-SF may be determined as the maximum size (eg, the total number of DL SFs in the bundling window linked to the corresponding UL SF).
- DAI field configuration and multi-AI signaling through the multi-SF grant DCI may be omitted. Accordingly, the HARQ-ACK payload size transmitted on the PUSCH in all UL SFs scheduled through the multi-SF grant DCI may always be determined to be the maximum size.
- the TPC included in the multi-SF grant DCI depending on whether the accumulation (for received TPC commands) is set: 1) If the accumulation is enabled, the TPC is assigned to the first-SF only once. 2) If accumulation is disabled, the TPC may be applied to every SF belonging to the scheduled multi-SF.
- the base station is in the UL grant even though the actual PDSCH scheduling is not required. It may be necessary to configure / secure a DL interval (based on the CCA) only for DCI transmission. However, this may not facilitate configuration of a flexible and efficient DL / UL resource interval (eg, SF) on the UCell, and may reduce overall system performance.

- DL scheduling cell that performs DL scheduling for one UCell (DL grant transmission for this) is set to one cell as in the past
- UL scheduling UL grant for this
- a cell performing transmission may consider a method of configuring a plurality of cells. Accordingly, the UE performs DL grant DCI detection on only one DL scheduling cell at one time point for UCell DL scheduling, while simultaneously detecting UL grant DCI on a plurality of UL scheduling cells at one time point for UCell UL scheduling.
- two UL scheduling cells may be configured for one UCell.
- two UL scheduling cells may be configured as 1) a corresponding UCell and one LCell as scheduling targets, or 2) two different LCells.
- UL grant DCI detection for the UCell (scheduled to be performed) is transmitted on the corresponding UCell (or PCell).
- a method of instructing the UE through specific signaling eg, UE-common PDCCH
- the UE may operate to perform UL grant DCI detection for the corresponding UCell only on the UL scheduling cell indicated through the specific signaling. If the UE fails to detect a specific signaling, 1) perform UL grant DCI detection on the most recently indicated UL scheduling cell, or 2) perform UL grant DCI detection on a specific LCell (predesignated) among a plurality of UL scheduling cells. can do.
- a scheme of configuring one UL scheduling cell and a plurality (eg, two) DL scheduling cells for one UCell is possible.
- a DL scheduling cell may be configured to 1) a corresponding UCell as a scheduling target and one LCell, or 2) two different LCells.
- the DL / UL scheduling cell configuration method of the present invention is not limited to scheduling for the UCell, it can be generally applied to scheduling for any cell including the LCell.
