The present invention relates to the field of permanent or temporary signs, for example road signs. The invention relates more particularly to a device for fixing a panel on a tubular pole of generally circular cross section.

Prior art

In the field of temporary road signs, there are well known signs consisting of a metal plate of any shape, triangular or round, for example, providing a substrate receiving on the front face a decoration such as a symbol or a pictogram showing road signs, for example. The edge of the substrate is folded towards the back of the panel to stiffen and prevent injury in case of impact with a pedestrian, a two-wheel or other. This type of traffic sign also comprises at least one fastening device for associating said panel with a vertical support conventionally constituted of a preferably tubular post of generally circular cross-section, planted in the ground or secured to one another. a base resting on the ground. However, this type of fixing device has several disadvantages. First, this type of device fixing is impractical to use and, generally, long to put in place. Finally, it requires the presence of at least two operators to fix a traffic sign along a support, using such a fixing device, at the installation site thus increasing the overall cost price. said road sign. Presentation of the invention

The object of the present invention is therefore to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks and to provide an economical fastening device, easy and quick to implement by a single operator to make integral a panel and a tubular support of generally circular cross section, without use of tools for its implementation.

The invention relates to a fastening device for securing, on a generally circular cross-section post, a panel provided with at least one C-shaped fastening rail having a longitudinal slot opening on one side to the outside and the other in an inner housing wider than said slot, said fixing device comprising at least one fastening collar adapted to be engaged around the post and to cooperate, by means of connecting members, with said fixing rail, said fixing device being remarkable in that the fixing collar comprises at least:

an elastically deformable U-shaped body comprising a core having a generally semicircular shape and two wings each of which comes from one of the free ends of said core;

- two fixing lugs, each coming from the end free of one of said wings and extending outwardly of said body so as to define a contact plane P;

a retaining bead disposed on the inner face of each of said flanges, said retaining beads being arranged facing each other to enable said body to elastically grip the post between its webs and wings and the retaining beads so as to allowing said clamp to be clipped to the post;

a holding rim disposed on each of its fixing lugs coming from said plane P and extending outwards, the respective widths of each holding flange and of the slot being such that each holding flange is suitable for fit fit into said slot, when the fixing rail is in contact with said plane P.

Said flanges preferably extend apart from one another so that said body is flared U-shaped.

Advantageously, each set "holding heel - holding flange" associated with one of the wings is in one piece and formed by at least one tab in the overall shape of L.

Even more advantageously, each set "holding heel - holding flange" is formed by two tabs in the overall shape of L and parallel to each other.

The fixing collar preferably comprises adhesion means for preventing said fastening collar, once clipped on the pole, sliding along the latter.

Preferably, the adhesion means comprise a notched crown disposed on the inner face of the core of the body.

The fixing lugs each advantageously comprise an orifice passing through them from one side to the other and being adapted to cooperate with a connecting member.

Each orifice is preferably a lumen opening at the free end of the associated fastening tab.

Best way to realize the technical invention

Thus, with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, the fixing device 1 according to the invention makes it possible to associate a signaling panel 2 on a support, advantageously of the post type 3, said panel 2 consisting of a plate 4 preferably metal of any shape, triangular or round, for example, providing a substrate receiving on the front face 5 a decoration such as a symbol or a pictogram showing road signs, for example.

The fixing device 1 comprises at least one fastening collar 6 adapted to be engaged at least partly around the post 3 and to cooperate, by means of connecting members 7, with a fastening rail 8 at least partially permanently attached to the back 9 of the panel 2 and allowing associating said panel 2 with the post 3.

The post 3, whose cross section is generally circular, is preferably of the type conventionally vertical tubular upright.

The term "generally circular" here designates that the post has a cross section that may be wholly or partially in the form of a circle, an ellipse or a closed planar curve having no right angle.

The panel 2 is preferably associated with said post 3 by means of two sets of fixing collar 6 - fixing rail 8, arranged one above the other along the post 3.

With reference to FIG. 2, each fixing rail 8 preferably consists of a profile whose cross section is in the overall shape of C and which comprises a core 81 and two flanges 82 each extending substantially perpendicularly from one to the other. longitudinal edges of said web 81, said web 81 and said wings 82 defining an inner housing 83.

Each fixing rail 8 is positioned on the panel 2 by putting the web 81 in contact with the back 9 of said panel 2, then it is secured permanently by any appropriate means such as, for example, riveting. The rail 8 comprises, on its face opposite to the core 81, a longitudinal slot 84 opening on one side to the outside and the other in said inner housing 83, the width of said slot 84 being less than the distance separating the two wings 82 of said rail 8 and thus to the width of the inner housing 83.

The inner housing 83 and the slot 84 open preferably at each of the free ends of said fastening rail 8, which is preferably an extruded alloy profile. lightweight, preferably aluminum.

With reference to FIGS. 3 to 7, the fastening collar 6 comprises a generally U-shaped elastically deformable body 61 comprising a core 61a having a generally semicircular shape and two wings 61b, 6 each of which comes from one of the free ends of said 61a and extending extending away from each other so that said body 61 is generally U-shaped slightly flared (see Figures 4 and 5) to facilitate its establishment around the post 3 according to Figure 4.

The fastening collar 6 also comprises two fastening tabs 62, each one coming from the free end of one of the wings 61b, 6e of its body 61 and extending outwardly from said body 61 so as to define a plane P contact on which the associated mounting rail 8 is adapted to come into contact.

Moreover, the fastening collar 6 comprises, on the inner face of each of its wings 61b, 6a of its body 61, a retaining bead 63 allowing said body 61 to be clipped onto the post 3, elastically enclosing last between its web 61a and wings 61b, 6 and the retaining stubs 63 arranged vis-à-vis (see Figure 4), the latter extending towards each other from the inner face of their wing 61b or 6 the associated.

The skilled person will have no difficulty to size, according to the dimensions of the post 3, the body 61 of the clamp 6 and its retaining heels 63 to ensure effective clipping of said clamp 6 on said post 3.

In addition, the body 61 also comprises on each of its fastening tabs 62 a retaining rim 64 coming from the plane P, extending outwardly from said body 61 and being able to fit fit into the slot 84 associated mounting rail 8.

By "adjusted" it is meant here that the respective widths of the holding flange 64 and the slot 84 are such that once the retaining flange 64 is inserted into the slot 84, the panel 2 can not be easily Disengaged from the collar 61. Thus, those skilled in the art understand that, for this, the width of each retaining flange 64 must be very slightly less than that of the slot 84 of the fastening rail of the panel 2, to allow a insertion of said retaining flanges 64 into the slot 84 by exerting a thrust force, in order to avoid inadvertent disengagement of said panel 2 from the fastening collar 6.

This feature is interesting because it ensures the maintenance of the panel 2 on the clamp 6, once the latter clipped on the post 3, which allows an operator to then put in place the connecting members 7 without the aid of a second operator.

According to an advantageous embodiment, for reasons of mechanical strength, each set "holding heel 63 - holding flange 64" associated with one of the wings 61b or 6 is integral and formed by at least one tongue in the overall shape of L, and preferably two tabs in the overall shape of L and parallel to each other, each tab being derived from the wings 61b or 6 and the associated attachment tab 62 (see FIGS. 6 or 7).

The fixing collar 6 further comprises adhesion means 65 making it possible to prevent said collar from fixation 6, once clipped onto the post 3, slides along the latter and pivots about the longitudinal axis of said post 3.

For this, the adhesion means 65 preferably comprise a notched crown disposed on the inner face of the core 61a of the body 61 of the fastening collar 6 (see FIGS. 5 or 7).

However, said adhesion means 65 may be of another type such as, for example, a magnetic ring, without departing from the scope of the present invention.

Finally, the fixing lugs 62 each comprise an orifice 66 passing through them from one side to the other and being able to cooperate with a connecting member 7, preferably of the bolt type, for securing the fastening rail 8 to the fastening collar 6, and therefore the panel 2 on the post 2.

With this configuration, it is clear that the joining of the panel 2 on the post 3 is particularly simple and fast and does not require the presence of two operators on the site of implantation.

Thus, once the post 3 erected and the panel 2 provided with at least one fixing rail 8, the operator must just clip at least one fastening collar 6 around the post 3 at the desired altitude and place the panel 2 against the fixing lugs 62 of said clamping collar 6 so that the fastening rail 8 bears against the plane P and the retaining flanges 64 are inserted into the slot 84 of said rail 8.

In this situation, the operator can then release the panel 2, take the connecting members 7 to simultaneously cooperate with the mounting rail 8 and the orifices 66 of said attachment lugs 62 and tighten the connecting members 7 to fix the panel 2 on the post 3.

According to a preferred embodiment, said orifices 66 are openings opening at the free end of the associated attachment lug 62 in order to allow easy positioning of the connecting members 7 without having to disassemble them or move the rail 8 apart. fastening of the fastening collar 6. Indeed, insofar as the connecting members 7 are preferably bolts and comprise a screw and a nut not shown in the figures, the operator must simply unscrew the nut, engage the head of the screw in the housing 82 of the fixing rail 8 by passing the rod of the screw through the slot 84 of said rail 8 and slide the bolt until it engages in the slot 66 of the associated bracket 62. Then the operator just has to screw the nut back onto the screw.

Possibilities of industrial application

The fastening device 1 according to the invention applies more particularly to the solidarity on a post 3 of a road sign 2 provided with at least one fastening rail 8, but it can also be used for other types of signaling or other types of rails.

a retaining heel (63) disposed on the inner face of each of said wings (61b, 61c), said retaining beads (63) being arranged facing each other to enable said body (61) to elastically grip the post (3) between its web (61a) and wings (61b, 61c) and the retaining stubs (63) so as to allow said clamp (6) to be clipped onto the post (3);

a holding flange (64) disposed on each of its fastening tabs (62) issuing from said plane P and extending outwards, the respective widths of each holding flange (64) and the slot (84) being such that each retaining flange is adapted to fit fit into said slot (84), when the fastening rail (8) is in contact with said plane P.
