Abstract

Bei einer Laserbearbeitungsmaschine (1) zum Laserschweißen von Werkstücken (2, 3), insbesondere zum Überlappschweißen von DCB-Strukturen (4), mit einem Laserstrahlerzeuger (7) zum Erzeugen eines Laserstrahls (5) und mit einer Abbildungsoptik (9) zum Abbilden des Laserstrahls (5) in eine Bearbeitungsebene (10) weist die Abbildungsoptik (9) erfindungsgemäß eine Strahlformungsoptik (15) auf, die den Laserstrahl (5) in der Bearbeitungsebene (10) mit einer Abbildungstiefe (∆d) von mindestens ±2mm, bevorzugt von mindestens ±5mm, derart abbildet, dass entlang der Abbildungstiefe (∆d) in jeder zur Strahlachse (16) rechtwinkligen Ebene die radiale Leistungsdichteverteilung (Pr) des Laserstrahls (5) glockenförmig ausgebildet ist und die Maximalwerte (PMax) dieser glockenförmigen Leistungsdichteverteilungen (Pr) entlang der Abbildungstiefe (∆d) um weniger als 10%, bevorzugt um weniger als 5%, zueinander schwanken.
