Definitions
- the invention belongs to the technical field of liquid crystal display, and in particular relates to a transflective blue phase liquid crystal panel.
- the transmissive blue phase liquid crystal display since the transmissive blue phase liquid crystal display has a backlight emitting mode, the light only needs to pass through the liquid crystal layer once, and the reflective area of the transflective blue phase liquid crystal display is surrounded by Ambient light is used as the light source, so the light needs to pass through the liquid crystal layer twice. This condition makes the phase retardation of the light passing through the reflection area twice as high as that of the transmission area, making it difficult for the transmissive area and the reflection area to obtain the same transmission and at the same time. Reflected electro-optic characteristics.
- a double-box-thick transflective blue-phase liquid crystal display is proposed in the field, that is, the thickness of the liquid crystal cell in the transmissive region is a reflective region.
- the liquid crystal cell is twice as thick, and the design makes the phase retardation of the light passing through the reflective region equal to the phase retardation of the transmissive region, thereby achieving the same transmission and reflection electro-optic characteristics simultaneously in the transmissive region and the reflective region.
- the liquid crystal cell thickness error generated during the manufacturing process is likely to cause the photoelectric characteristic curve and response time of the transmissive region and the reflective region to be inconsistent.
- blue phase liquid crystals are also facing the problem of excessive driving voltage.
- the industry generally adopts a method of improving the performance of blue phase liquid crystal materials or optimizing the electrode structure to solve the problem.

- the lateral spacing between the first protrusion and the second protrusion in the transmissive region of the transflective blue phase liquid crystal panel is less than the first protrusion in the reflective region of the transflective blue phase liquid crystal panel
- the lateral spacing between the lift and the second projection can reduce the electric field strength of the reflective region and make the liquid crystal located in the reflective region The molecules form less optical anisotropy than the liquid crystal molecules of the transmissive region, thereby maintaining the electro-optical properties of the reflective and transmissive regions consistent.
