回転位置センサの温度上昇が抑制される回転電機を提供する。内燃機関用回転電機は、ステータ31と、センサユニット41とを有する。センサユニット41は、センサ43dを収容するカバー53dを有する。カバー53dは、ステータ31と接触する接触部62と、ステータ31と接触しない非接触部63とを備える。非接触部63とステータ31との間には、隙間64が区画形成されている。センサ43dは、非接触部63の中に収容されている。隙間64は、センサ43dの両側に広く延びている。センサユニット41は、接触部61だけを有するカバー53a、53b、53cを備えていてもよい。隙間64は、空気による断熱層を提供する。これにより、ステータ31とカバー53との間の熱移動が抑制される。隙間64に導入される空気は、放熱を促進する。

Description

内燃機関用回転位置検出装置および内燃機関用回転電機 関連出願の相互参照
 この出願は、2015年5月14日に出願された日本特許出願2015-99408号を基礎出願とするものであり、基礎出願の開示内容は参照によってこの出願に組み込まれている。
 この開示は、内燃機関の回転位置を検出するための内燃機関用回転位置検出装置および内燃機関用回転電機に関する。
 特許文献1-4は、内燃機関に連結される内燃機関用回転電機を開示する。これらの回転電機は、発電機および/または電動機(スタータ)として機能することができる。特許文献1-4は、ステータの磁極の間に配置されたセンサを開示する。従来技術として列挙された先行技術文献の記載内容は、この明細書に記載された技術的要素の説明として、参照によって導入ないし援用される。

 従来技術の構成では、電気的な部品であるセンサが、ステータから熱的な影響を受けやすい。例えば、センサを収容するための樹脂製のカバーは、金属製の磁極に接触して配置されているから、磁極の熱がカバーを通して移動し、センサの温度を上昇させることがある。センサにおける過剰な温度上昇は回避することが望ましい。
 上述の観点において、または言及されていない他の観点において、内燃機関用回転位置検出装置および内燃機関用回転電機にはさらなる改良が求められている。
 ひとつの開示に課されたひとつの目的は、センサの温度上昇を抑制することができる内燃機関用回転位置検出装置および内燃機関用回転電機を提供することである。
 この明細書に開示された複数の態様は、それぞれの目的を達成するために、互いに異なる技術的手段を採用する。請求の範囲およびこの項に記載した括弧内の符号は、後述する実施形態の部分との対応関係を示すものであって、技術的範囲を限定するものではない。
 ひとつの態様により、内燃機関用回転位置検出装置が提供される。内燃機関用回転位置検出装置は、内燃機関(12)に連動する回転電機(10)のロータ(21)に設けられた磁石(23)の磁束を検出することによりロータの回転位置を示す電気信号を出力する。内燃機関用回転位置検出装置は、回転電機のステータ(31)に設けられた2つの磁極部分(32a、B31)の間に配置され、磁束を検出するセンサ(43)と、センサを2つの磁極部分の間に配置し、保持するための保持部材であって、ステータに接触して位置づけられる接触部(62、67、367、467、567、661、771、862、972、A62、B75、C76、C77)、およびステータから離れて位置づけられる離間部(63、57、668、763、863、963、A63、D63、F63)を有する保持部材(52、53、56、57)とを備える。
 保持部材は、接触部と離間部とを有する。保持部材は、接触部がステータに接触することによって規定の位置に位置付けられる。離間部は、ステータと保持部材との直接的な接触面積を抑制する。離間部は、ステータから保持部材への熱移動を抑制する。これにより、センサの温度上昇が抑制される。
 他のひとつの態様において、離間部は、空気が導入される隙間(64、264、669、964、A64、D78、G78)を介してステータに対向する部位であってもよい。空気は熱移動の抑制、および/または放熱に貢献する。
 他のひとつの態様において、保持部材は、センサを収容し、ステータの軸方向に沿ってステータの端面から、2つの磁極部分の間に延びるように配置されるカバー(53)を備え、カバーは、ステータの周方向に関してステータと接触して位置づけられる接触部と、ステータの周方向および/または軸方向に関してステータから離れて位置づけられる離間部(63、57、668、763、863、963、A63、D63、F63)とを有してもよい。センサを収容するカバーにおいて熱移動が抑制される。
 ひとつの態様により、内燃機関用回転電機が提供される。内燃機関用回転電機は、内燃機関用回転位置検出装置と、回転電機のロータと、回転電機のステータであって、離間部に対応して設けられた切欠き(A73、D73、E73)を有するステータ(31)とを備える。保持部材の離間部とステータとの離れた位置関係が、ステータに設けられた切欠きによって提供される。

 (第1実施形態)
 図1は、内燃機関用回転電機10(以下、単に回転電機という)の断面図である。図2は、ステータ31とセンサユニット41とを含む部分的な平面図である。図1は、図2に図示されたI-I線における断面である。図3はステータ31の径方向外側面を示す。図1-図3を参照することによりステータ31とセンサユニット41とが詳細に理解される。
 図1において、回転電機10は、発電電動機、または交流発電機スタータ(AC Generator Starter)とも呼ばれる。回転電機10は、インバータ回路(INV)と制御装置(ECU)とを含む電気回路11と電気的に接続されている。電気回路11は、三相の電力変換回路を提供する。回転電機10の用途の一例は、車両用の内燃機関12によって駆動される発電電動機である。回転電機10は、例えば、二輪車に利用することができる。
 電気回路11は、回転電機10が発電機として機能するとき、出力される交流電力を整流し、バッテリを含む電気負荷に電力を供給する整流回路を提供する。電気回路11は、回転電機10から供給される点火制御用の基準位置信号を受信する信号処理回路を提供する。電気回路11は、点火制御を実行する点火制御器を提供してもよい。電気回路11は、回転電機10を電動機として機能させる駆動回路を提供する。電気回路11は、回転電機10を電動機として機能させるための回転位置信号を回転電機10から受信する。電気回路11は、検出された回転位置に応じて回転電機10への通電を制御することにより回転電機10を電動機として機能させる。
 回転電機10は、内燃機関12に組み付けられている。内燃機関12は、ボディ13と、ボディ13に回転可能に支持され、内燃機関12と連動して回転する回転軸14とを有する。回転電機10は、ボディ13と回転軸14とに組み付けられている。ボディ13は、内燃機関12のクランクケース、ミッションケースなどの構造体である。回転軸14は、内燃機関12のクランク軸、またはクランク軸と連動する回転軸である。回転軸14は、内燃機関12が運転されることによって回転し、回転電機10を発電機として機能させるように駆動する。回転軸14は、回転電機10が電動機として機能するとき、回転電機10の回転によって内燃機関12を始動可能な回転軸である。また、回転軸14は、回転電機10が電動機として機能するとき、回転電機10の回転によって内燃機関12の回転を支援(アシスト)することができる回転軸である。
 回転電機10は、ロータ21と、ステータ31と、センサユニット41とを有する。ロータ21は、界磁子である。ステータ31は、電機子である。ロータ21は、全体がカップ状である。ロータ21は、その開口端をボディ13に向けて位置付けられる。ロータ21は、回転軸14の端部に固定される。ロータ21と回転軸14とは、キー嵌合などの回転方向の位置決め機構を介して連結されている。ロータ21は、固定ボルト25によって回転軸14に締め付けられることによって固定されている。ロータ21は、回転軸14とともに回転する。ロータ21は、永久磁石によって界磁を提供する。
 ロータ21は、カップ状のロータコア22を有する。ロータコア22は、内燃機関12の回転軸14に連結される。ロータコア22は、回転軸14に固定される内筒と、内筒の径方向外側に位置する外筒と、内筒と外筒との間に拡がる環状の底板とを有する。ロータコア22は、後述する永久磁石のためのヨークを提供する。ロータコア22は、磁性金属製である。
 ロータ21は、ロータコア22の内面に配置された永久磁石23を有する。永久磁石23は、外筒の内側に固定されている。永久磁石23は、径方向内側に配置された保持カップ24によって軸方向および径方向に関して固定されている。保持カップ24は、薄い非磁性金属製である。保持カップ24は、ロータコア22に固定されている。
 永久磁石23は、複数のセグメントを有する。それぞれのセグメントは、部分円筒状である。永久磁石23は、その内側に、複数のN極と複数のS極とを提供する。永久磁石23は、少なくとも界磁を提供する。永久磁石23は、12個のセグメントによって、6対のN極とS極、すなわち12極の界磁を提供する。磁極の数は、他の数でもよい。永久磁石23は、点火制御のための基準位置信号を提供するための部分的な特殊磁極を提供する。特殊磁極は、界磁のための磁極配列とは異なる部分的な磁極によって提供される。
 ステータ31は、環状の部材である。ステータ31は、ロータ21とボディ13との間に配置されている。ステータ31は、回転軸14とロータコア22の内筒とを受け入れることができる貫通穴32cを有する。ステータ31は、ロータ21の内面とギャップを介して対向する外周面を有する。外周面には、複数の磁極32aが配置されている。ステータ31は、例えば、18個の磁極32aを有する。磁極32aの数は、他の数でもよい。これら磁極32aは、ロータ21の界磁と対向して配置されている。ステータ31は、電機子巻線を有する。ステータ31は、多相の電機子巻線を有する。ステータ31は、ボディ13に固定される。ステータ31は、複数の磁極32aと、複数の三相巻線とを有する三相多極ステータである。
 ステータ31は、ステータコア32を有する。ステータコア32は、内燃機関12のボディ13に固定されることによってロータ21の内側に配置される。ステータコア32は、永久磁石23と対向する複数の磁極32aを径方向外側に形成する。ステータコア32は、複数の磁極32aを形成するように所定の形状に成形された電磁鋼板を積層することにより形成されている。ステータコア32は、永久磁石23の内面と対向する複数の磁極32aを提供する。ステータコア32の複数の磁極32aの間には、隙間32bが設けられている。
 ステータ31は、ステータコア32に巻回されたステータコイル33を有する。ステータコイル33は、電機子巻線を提供する。ステータコイル33は、三相巻線である。ステータコイル33は、ロータ21およびステータ31を発電機または電動機として選択的に機能させることができる。
 ステータ31とボディ13とは、固定ボルト34を介して連結されている。ステータ31は、複数の固定ボルト34によってボディ13に締め付けられることによって固定されている。ステータ31は、ボディ13から延び出すボス部13aに固定されている。ボス部13aは、筒状の部分である。ボス部13aは、ボディ13と一体の金属製の部材である。
 ステータコア32とステータコイル33との間には絶縁材料製のインシュレータ35が配置されている。インシュレータ35は、樹脂製である。インシュレータ35は、ボビンとも呼ばれる。インシュレータ35の一部は、磁極32aに隣接して位置づけられることによって、ボビンのフランジ部を提供する。インシュレータ35の一部は、磁極32aの軸方向における両側に配置されている。以下の説明では、多くの場合、インシュレータ35は、ボビンのフランジ部を指す。
 図2に図示されるように、ステータコア32は、回転軸14およびロータコア22の内筒を受け入れるための貫通穴32cを区画形成している。さらに、ステータコア32は、複数の固定ボルト34を受け入れるための複数の貫通穴32dを有する。これら貫通穴32dは、ステータコア32の周方向に関する位置を規定するために貢献する。ステータコア32は、センサユニット41を固定するための固定ボルト44を受け入れるための貫通穴を有する。
 センサユニット41は、内燃機関用回転位置検出装置を提供する。センサユニット41は、内燃機関12に連動する回転電機10に設けられている。センサユニット41は、回転電機10のステータコア32に設けられている。センサユニット41は、ロータ21に設けられた永久磁石23の磁束を検出することによりロータ21の回転位置を示す電気信号を出力する。
 センサユニット41は、ステータ31に固定される。センサユニット41は、ステータコア32とボディ13との間に配置されている。センサユニット41は、ステータコア32の一端面に固定されている。センサユニット41は、ロータ21に設けられた永久磁石23が供給する磁束を検出することにより、ロータ21の回転位置を検出する。センサユニット41は、複数の回転位置センサ43(以下、単にセンサという)を有する。複数のセンサ43は、隣接する2つの磁極部分の間に配置されている。磁極部分は、主として磁極32aによって提供される。磁極部分は、磁極32a、ステータコイル33、およびインシュレータ35を含む場合がある。複数のセンサ43は、永久磁石23の磁束変化を検出することによりロータ21の回転位置を検出する。複数のセンサ43は、ロータ21の回転軸に関して周方向に互いに離れて配置されている。
 永久磁石23が提供する特殊磁極の位置によって点火制御のための基準位置が示される。ロータ21の回転位置は、回転軸14の回転位置でもある。よって、ロータ21の回転位置を検出することにより、点火制御のための基準位置信号を得ることができる。複数のセンサ43の少なくともひとつは、特殊磁極に反応することにより、点火制御のための信号を出力する。この実施形態では、ひとつのセンサ43が点火制御用のセンサを提供する。この結果、ステータ31は、ロータ21が所定の回転位置にあるときに点火制御用の信号を出力するためのセンサを備える。
 永久磁石23が提供する界磁の回転方向の位置によってロータ21の回転位置が示される。よって、ロータ21の回転位置を検出し、検出された回転位置に応じて電機子巻線への通電を制御することにより、回転電機10を電動機として機能させることができる。複数のセンサ43の少なくともひとつは、回転電機10を少なくとも電動機として機能させるためのロータ21の回転位置を検出する。この回転電機10は、発電機および電動機として機能することができ、それらのいずれかとして選択的に機能させられる。
 センサユニット41は、電気回路部品42を収容する。電気回路部品42は、基板と、基板に実装された電気素子、および電線などを含む。センサユニット41は、センサ43を収容する。センサユニット41は、ケース51を有する。
 ケース51は、樹脂材料製である。ケース51は、部分的に金属部分をもつことができる。ケース51は、電気回路部品42とセンサ43とを収容し、保持する。センサ43は、電気回路部品42と接続される。ケース51は、多角形筒、例えば台形筒の断面に相当する形状をもち、ステータ31の径方向外側縁におおよそ対応して延びる外縁をもつ。ケース51は、電気回路部品42を収容するための容器52を有する。容器52は樹脂材料製である。容器52は、ボディ13に対向する面が開口した箱状である。容器52は、ステータコア32側に面する底面と、ボディ13に対向する開口部と、底面と開口部とを囲む側壁とを有する。電気回路部品42は、容器52内に収容され、固定されている。
 ケース51は、少なくともひとつのセンサ43を収容し、直接的にまたは間接的に支持するための少なくともひとつのカバー53を有する。カバー53は、センサ43を2つの磁極部分の間に配置し、保持するための保持部材である。カバー53は、容器52、電気回路部品42、および後述の封止樹脂56を介して間接的にセンサ43を保持する。カバー53は、センサ43に直接的に接触することによって、センサ43を保持してもよい。センサ43は、カバー53内の所定位置に固定されている。カバー53は、容器52の底面から延び出すように形成された有底筒状の部材である。カバー53は、ケース51の径方向外側に設けられている。カバー53は、2つの磁極32aの間の隙間32bに挿入される。カバー53は、ステータ31の軸方向に沿ってステータ31の端面から、2つの磁極部分の間に延びるように配置される。
 カバー53は、ケース51の底面に設けられた基部と、基部から延び出す先端部とを有する。先端部は、基部より細い。基部は隙間32bより広い幅を有する。基部と先端部との間には、段部が形成されている。段部は、ステータコア32の端面および/またはインシュレータ35に接触する。これにより、隙間32b内への先端部の挿入量が規定される。
 カバー53の内部は、容器52の内部に連通している。センサユニット41は、複数のカバー53を有する。カバー53は、容器52から延び出す指状、または舌状と呼びうる形状である。カバー53は、センサ43のための鞘とも呼ぶことができる。複数のカバー53は、点火制御のための基準位置検出用のセンサのためのひとつのカバー53と、モータ制御のためのセンサのための3つのカバー53とを有する。
 それぞれのカバー53内には、ひとつのセンサ43が収容される。センサ43は、永久磁石23が供給する磁束を検出する。センサ43は、ホールセンサ、MREセンサなどによって提供される。この実施形態は、点火制御のためのひとつのセンサと、モータ制御のための3つのセンサとを有する。センサ43は、カバー53内の空洞に配置されたセンサターミナルによって電気回路部品42と電気的に接続される。センサターミナルは、センサ43を提供するパッケージから延び出すリード線、またはカバー53内に配置された基板(プリント基板、またはフレキシブル基板)によって提供される。カバー53内に配置された基板上にセンサ43と電気回路部品42の一部とが実装されてもよい。この場合にも、カバー53は、センサ43を収容する。この場合にも、容器52および/またはカバー53は、基板を介してセンサ43を直接的にまたは間接的に保持する保持部材である。
 この実施形態における点火制御およびモータ制御のための永久磁石23に関連する細部、および複数のセンサ43に関連する細部については、特許文献として列挙した特開2013-233030号公報、特開2013-27252号公報、または特許第5064279号に記載の内容を援用することができ、同記載の内容は参照により引用されている。
 ケース51は、締付部54を有する。締付部54は、回転電機10の径方向に関して容器52より径方向内側に設けられている。容器52と締付部54との間には、それらの間を連結するための連結部55が設けられている。固定ボルト44は、ステータコア32のボディ13と反対側の面からステータコア32を貫通して配置されている。固定ボルト44のステータコア32から突出する先端部は、締付部54の雌ねじ部分に螺合される。これにより、センサユニット41は、ステータコア32に固定される。容器52内は、保護用の封止樹脂56によって満たされている。封止樹脂56は電気回路部品42を保護するためのポッティング樹脂である。
 センサユニット41は、センサ43から出力される信号を外部に取り出すための外部接続用の配線11aを有する。回転電機10は、ステータコイル33と電気回路11とを接続する複数の電力線11bを有する。電力線11bは、回転電機10が発電機として機能するとき、ステータコイル33に誘導される電力を電気回路11に供給する。電力線11bは、回転電機10が電動機として機能するとき、ステータコイル33を励磁するための電力を電気回路11からステータコイル33へ供給する。
 図3に図示されるように、センサユニット41は、複数のカバー53a、53b、53c、53dを有する。カバー53dは、カバー53a、53b、53cより長い。カバー53dは、複数のカバー53a、53b、53c、53dの中で最も長い。カバー53dは、ステータ31の端面から、最も深く差し込まれて配置される。カバー53dは、ステータ31の軸方向の厚さの中央に到達している。カバー53a、53b、53cは、ステータ31の軸方向の中央には到達しない。カバー53dは、センサ43dを、センサ43a、43b、43cとは異なる軸方向位置に設置する。カバー53a、53b、53cは、モータ制御のためのセンサ43a、43b、43cを収容する。カバー53dは、点火制御のためのセンサ43dを収容する。カバー53a、53b、53cは、第1カバー、または短カバーとも呼ばれる。カバー53dは、第2カバー、または長カバーとも呼ばれる。
 図3に図示されるように、カバー53a、53b、53cは、磁極32a、インシュレータ35、およびステータコイル33を含むステータ31が区画形成する隙間32bに挿入可能な棒状である。カバー53a、53b、53cは、その先端に、ステータ31と接触しない先端部を有している。先端部は台形である。カバー53a、53b、53cは、ステータ31と周方向に関して対向する2つの側面を有する。2つの側面は、ステータ31と接触している。
 カバー53a、53b、53cにおけるステータ31と接触する部分は、接触部61と呼ばれる。接触部61は、ステータ31の周方向に関して、ステータ31と接触して、特に磁極部分と接触して位置づけられる。接触部61は、幅広部とも呼ばれる。接触部61は、軸方向に関して、センサ43a、43b、43cが配置されている位置を包含するように軸方向に沿って長く延びている。センサ43a、43b、43cは、接触部61の中に配置されている。
 図3に図示されるように、カバー53dも、ステータ31が区画形成する隙間32bに挿入可能な棒状である。カバー53dも、その先端に、ステータ31と接触しない先端部を有している。カバー53dも、周方向に関してステータ31と対向する2つの側面を有する。カバー53dの側面は、ステータ31と部分的に接触している。ステータ31とカバー53dとは、周方向に関して対向し、互いに接触する接触部を有する。さらに、ステータ31とカバー53dとは、周方向に関して対向するが、互いに接触しない非接触部を有する。
 カバー53dにおけるステータ31と接触する部分、より詳細には、両側の磁極32aと接触する部分は、接触部62と呼ばれる。接触部62は、幅広部とも呼ばれる。接触部62は、カバー53dの根元部分に設けられている。接触部62は、カバー53dの根元部分だけに設けられている。接触部62の軸方向長さは、接触部61の軸方向長さと同じである。複数のカバー53a、53b、53c、53dが同等の長さの接触部61、62を備えることによって、安定的な位置決め、および応力の分散が図られる。
 接触部61、62は、その両側の側面でステータ31、特に磁極32aと対向し、互いに接触している。接触部61、62は、隣接する2つの磁極32aの間に掛け渡され得る幅を有する。接触部61、62は、隙間32bの軸方向の一部を、周方向に関して覆うことによって閉塞している。接触部61、62は、閉塞部とも呼ばれる。接触部61、62は、ステータ31と噛み合うことによってセンサユニット41を周方向に関して固定するから、噛み合い部とも呼ばれる。接触部61、62は、隙間32bの中における、カバー53dの周方向に関する位置を規定するから、周方向の位置決め部とも呼ばれる。接触部61、62は、ステータ31とカバー53dとの間の容易な熱移動を許容する。接触部61、62は、高熱伝達部とも呼ばれる。
 接触部62は、軸方向に関して、センサ43dが配置されている位置を包含しないように配置されている。センサ43dは、接触部62の中に配置されていない。
 カバー53dにおけるステータ31と非接触の部分、より詳細には、両側の磁極32aと非接触の部分は、非接触部63と呼ばれる。非接触部は、ステータ31から離れて位置づけられる離間部でもある。非接触部63は、ステータ31の周方向に関してステータ31から離れて位置づけられる。非接触部63は、カバー53dの先端面を含む場合がある。非接触部63は、先端面以外の部位におけるステータ31との非接触、典型的には磁極32aとの非接触によって特徴付けられる。非接触部63は、接触部62よりも先端側の領域に延在している。カバー53dは、他のカバー53a、53b、53cより所定長さだけ長い。非接触部63は、この所定長さだけ延在している。非接触部63は、カバー53dの両側において、接触部62より細くなるように形成されている。接触部62と非接触部63との間には、段差が形成されている。
 非接触部63は、ステータ31とカバー53dとの間に隙間64を区画形成する。より具体的には、非接触部63は、磁極32aとカバー53dとの間に隙間64を区画形成する。隙間64は、放熱ないし冷却のための空気の通路を提供する。空気は、ステータ31の径方向および/または軸方向に沿って隙間64の中に導入される。よって、非接触部63は、空気通路形成部とも呼ばれる。
 ステータ31とカバー53dとの間の熱移動に関して、非接触部63における熱移動量は、隙間64に起因して、接触部62における熱移動量より少ない。非接触部63および隙間64は、低熱伝達部とも呼ばれる。非接触部63および隙間64は、ステータ31とカバー53dとの間の熱移動を抑制する。よって、非接触部63は、熱移動抑制部とも呼ばれる。非接触部63および隙間64は、ステータ31とカバー53dとの間の熱移動に対して、接触部62より高い断熱効果を発揮する。よって、非接触部63および隙間64は、断熱部とも呼ばれる。隙間64だけを断熱部と呼んでも良い。隙間64は、センサ43dに対して周方向に位置している。よって、隙間64は、周方向隙間とも呼ばれる。
 非接触部63は、軸方向に関して、センサ43dが配置されている位置を包含するように軸方向に沿って長く延びている。センサ43dは非接触部63の中に配置されている。言い換えると、カバー53dは、離間部を提供する非接触部63に隣接するようにセンサ43dを収容している。これにより、非接触部63が提供する断熱部は、ステータ31からカバー53dを通ってセンサ43dに到達する熱流を抑制する。非接触部63が提供する隙間64は、センサ43dの周辺からの放熱を促進する。
 図4は、図3に図示された矢印IVにおける矢視図である。図5は、図2および図4に図示されたV-V線における断面図である。図5において、容器52の形状を示すために、内部の部品は省略されている。カバー53a、53b、53c、53dは、容器52の底の外面から軸方向に延び出している。カバー53a、53b、53c、53dは、端部が閉塞した筒である。カバー53a、53b、53c、53dは、独立した筒として容器52から延び出している。
 カバー53dと容器52との間には、リブ57が設けられている。リブ57は、複数のカバー53のうちのカバー53dだけに設けられている。リブ57は、カバー53dの径方向内側の面と、容器52の底の外面との間に張り渡されている。リブ57は、ステータ31の径方向および軸方向に沿って広がる板状の部材である。リブ57は、直角三角形の斜辺を提供するように形成されている。リブ57が提供する斜辺は凹曲線を描いている。リブ57は、直線の斜辺、または凸曲線の斜辺を描くように形成されてもよい。リブ57は、長いカバー53dを補強する補強部材である。リブ57は、ステータ31とカバー53dとの接触を減らしながら、カバー53dの変形を抑制することを可能とする。リブ57は、センサ43を磁極32aの間に位置づけ、保持するための保持部材である。リブ57は、カバー53dとともに保持部材を提供する。リブ57は、ステータ31の周方向および軸方向に関してステータ31から離れて位置づけられる。
 リブ57は、ステータ31と接触することがないように形成されている。リブ57は、ステータコイル33と接触することがないように形成されている。リブ57とステータ31との間には、所定の隙間が形成されている。隙間は空気を流すことができる。リブ57は、ステータ31に非接触である非接触部を提供する。ステータ31とリブ57との接触が回避されることで、ステータ31とカバー53dとの間における、リブ57を経由する熱移動が抑制される。
 図6は、図3に図示されたVI-VI線における断面図である。接触部62とステータ31との間には、接触構造が提供されている。接触構造は、嵌め合い構造によって提供されている。接触部62は、カバー53dの径方向への移動を抑制するようにステータ31と嵌合している。接触構造は、ステータ31に設けられた接触面66と、カバー53dに設けられた接触面67とによって提供されている。
 接触面66はひさし状に突出した凸部である。接触面66は、ステータコア32の磁極32aによって提供されている。接触面66はインシュレータ35によって提供されてもよい。接触面66は、磁極32aの全長にわたって延びている。接触面66は、第1嵌め合い部を提供する。
 接触面67は溝状に凹んだ凹部である。接触面67は、接触面66に対して嵌め合い可能な形状をもつ。接触面67は、接触部62の全長にわたって設けられている。接触面67は、第1嵌め合い部に嵌め合うことができる第2嵌め合い部を提供する。
 図7は、図3に図示されたVII-VII線における断面図である。非接触部63とステータ31との間には、物理的な非接触構造および熱的な分離構造が提供されている。非接触部63においては、カバー53dは嵌め合いのための段差面を区画形成するための部材を備えない。非接触部63の側面は、平面68である。平面68は、ステータ31から離れて位置づけられる。カバー53dの両側に平面68が形成される。非接触部63におけるカバー53dの周方向の幅W63は、接触部62におけるカバー53dの周方向の幅W62より小さい(W62>W63)。幅W63は、隙間32bの幅より小さい。隙間64は、非接触部63とステータ31との間に区画形成される。隙間64は、カバー53dの周方向の両側に、空気が径方向に流れることができる空気通路を提供する。
 相対的に短いカバー53a、53b、53cが隙間32bを覆う面積は、相対的に長いカバー53dが隙間32bを覆う面積より小さい。言い換えると、カバー53a、53b、53cは、放熱ないし冷却のための空気の通路を提供する。また、カバー53a、53b、53cがステータ31と接触する面積は小さい。加えて、カバー53a、53b、53cは、ステータ31の比較的低温な端部に位置づけられている。よって、カバー53a、53b、53cに収容されたセンサ43a、43b、43cの温度が過剰に高くなる可能性は少ない。
 この実施形態では、他のカバー53a、53b、53cより長いカバー53dだけに非接触部63が設けられる。カバー53dは、他のカバー53a、53b、53cの接触部61と同等の接触部62を有する。しかも、非接触部63は、カバー53dのうち、他のカバー53a、53b、53cより長く延び出す部分に設けられる。この結果、複数のカバー53a、53b、53c、53dにおける温度差が抑制される。
 以上に述べた実施形態によると、ステータ31とカバー53dとの間の直接的な接触面積が抑制される。さらに、ステータ31とカバー53dとの間に隙間64が設けられる。隙間64は、断熱部などとして機能する。この結果、ステータ31とカバー53dとの間の熱移動が抑制される。しかも、隙間64は、放熱のための空気の通路を提供する。この結果、カバー53d、およびその周辺のステータ31からの放熱が促進される。
 カバー53dに直接的に接触するリブ57とステータ31、特にステータコイル33との間にも隙間が設けられる。このリブ57の両側の隙間も空気の通路を提供する。この結果、ステータコイル33からリブ57およびカバー53dへの熱移動が抑制される。しかも、リブ57の両側の隙間は放熱を促進する。
 ステータ31の温度は、内燃機関12からの熱移動によって上昇する場合がある。ステータ31の温度は、ステータコア32における鉄損によっても上昇する。ステータ31の温度は、ステータコイル33における銅損によっても上昇する。ステータ31の温度、例えば、ステータコア32および/またはステータコイル33の温度がセンサ43dに望ましくない温度に到達することがある。この実施形態によると、ステータ31の各部の温度上昇に比べて、カバー53dに収容されたセンサ43dの温度上昇を抑制することができる。
 センサ43dの温度上昇が抑制されるから、高温に起因するセンサの機能低下を抑制することができる。例えば、出力特性の温度ドリフトを抑制することができる。より具体的には、安定的な回転位置の検出が可能となる。別の観点では、高温に起因するセンサの耐久性低下を抑制することができる。例えば、熱的なサイクルに起因する部品の損傷が抑制される。
 (第2実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。上記実施形態では、カバー53dの周方向両側に隙間64が形成される。これに代えて、意図的に、または偶発的に、周方向の片側だけに隙間が形成されてもよい。
 図8は、図7に対応する断面図である。カバー53dの製造誤差、センサユニット41の固定位置の誤差、樹脂部品の経年変化などに起因して、カバー53dの非接触部63が片側だけにおいてステータ31に接触する場合がある。この場合、隙間264は、カバー53dの片側だけに形成される。この場合においても、非接触部63および隙間264は、ステータ31からカバー53dへの熱移動を抑制する。加えて、隙間264は、カバー53dからの放熱を促進する。よって、センサ43dの温度上昇が抑制される。なお、カバー53dの片側だけに隙間264が形成されるように、意図的に、カバー53dを図示のように形成してもよい。
 (第3実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。上記実施形態では、ステータ31と接触部62との間に形成される接触構造は嵌め合い構造によって提供されている。これに代えて、接触構造は多様な形状によって提供することができる。
 図9は、図6に対応する断面図である。この実施形態では、接触面366と接触面367とによって接触構造が提供されている。ステータ31に設けられた接触面366は、径方向外側に面する段差を提供する。カバー53dに設けられた接触面367は、径方向内側に面する段差を提供する。接触面366と接触面367とは、カバー53dの径方向内側への移動を阻止するように嵌め合い可能である。接触面366と接触面367とは、径方向の片方(径方向内側)に関してカバー53dとステータ31とが嵌り合う接触部を提供する。
 (第4実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。図10は、図6に対応する断面図である。この実施形態では、接触面466と接触面467とによって接触構造が提供されている。ステータ31に設けられた接触面466は、径方向内側に面する段差を提供する。カバー53dに設けられた接触面467は、径方向外側に面する段差を提供する。接触面466と接触面467とは、カバー53dの径方向外側への移動を阻止するように嵌め合い可能である。接触面466と接触面467とは、径方向の片方(径方向外側)に関してカバー53dとステータ31とが嵌り合う接触部を提供する。
 (第5実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。図11は、図6に対応する断面図である。この実施形態では、接触面566と接触面567とによって接触構造が提供されている。ステータ31に設けられた接触面566は、周方向に面する平面である。カバー53dに設けられた接触面567は、周方向に面する平面である。接触面566と接触面567とは、カバー53dを拘束しない接触を提供する。
 (第6実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。上記実施形態では、カバー53dだけが非接触部63を備える。これに代えて、複数のカバー、またはすべてのカバーが非接触部63を備えてもよい。
 図12は、図3に相当する正面図である。この実施形態では、短いカバー53a、53b、53cも接触部661と非接触部668とを有する。非接触部668は、センサ43a、43b、43cの両側に隙間669を形成する。この実施形態でも、接触部661の軸方向長さと接触部62の軸方向長さとは等しい。この実施形態によると、すべてのカバー53a、53b、53c、53dに、放熱および/または断熱のための隙間64、669が設けられる。よって、センサ43a、43b、43c、43dの温度上昇を抑制することができる。
 なお、非接触部63、668は、複数のカバー53のひとつ以上に設けることができる。非接触部63、668は、複数のカバー53のふたつ以上に設けてもよい。また、非接触部63、668は、回転電機の使用状態において高温になりやすいカバー53だけに設けてもよい。
 (第7実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。上記実施形態では、カバー53の基部に接触部62、661を設け、カバー53の先端部に非接触部63、668を設けた。これに代えて、カバー53の中間部に非接触部を設けてもよい。
 図13は、複数のカバー53のうちのひとつを代表的に示している。図中には、カバー53dが図示されている。カバー53dは、基部に設けられた接触部62と、先端部に設けられた接触部771とを有する。カバー53dは、接触部62と接触部771との間に、非接触部763を有する。非接触部763と磁極32aとの間には、隙間64が区画形成されている。センサ43dは、非接触部763の中に配置されている。この実施形態でも、非接触部763は、空気通路形成部を提供する。非接触部763および隙間64は、断熱部を提供する。
 (第8実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。上記実施形態では、ステータ31とカバー53との間の噛み合いは、接触部61、661、62と磁極32aとの間の噛み合いによって提供されている。これに代えて、ステータ31とカバー53との間の噛み合いは、接触部862とインシュレータ35との間の噛み合いによって提供されてもよい。
 図14において、カバー53dは、接触部862と、非接触部863とを有する。接触部862は、カバー53dの基部だけに設けられている。接触部862の軸方向長さは、隣接する2つのインシュレータ35の間、すなわち2つのボビンの鍔の間に到達するが、隣接する2つの磁極32aの間には到達しないように設定されている。接触部862は、インシュレータ35の間に位置し、インシュレータ35と接触する。接触部862は、インシュレータ35と噛み合っている。隣接する2つの磁極32aの間には、非接触部863だけが配置されている。よって、カバー53dと磁極32aとは直接的に接触しない。
 この実施形態でも、ステータ31とカバー53dとの間の噛み合いを提供しながら、ステータ31とカバー53dとの間に隙間64が区画形成される。
 (第9実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。上記実施形態では、センサ43dが設置された範囲にわたって延在する長い隙間64が形成される。これに代えて、複数の隙間を設けてもよい。
 図15において、カバー53dは、複数の非接触部963と複数の中間接触部972とを有する。ステータ31と複数の非接触部963との間には、複数の隙間964が区画形成されている。複数の隙間964は、センサ43dが設置された範囲にわたって、分散的に配置されている。この実施形態でも、カバー53dは、離間部を提供する非接触部963に隣接するようにセンサ43dを収容している。
 (第10実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。上記実施形態では、カバー53に非接触部63を設けることにより隙間64が区画形成される。これに代えて、ステータ31に切欠きを設けることによって隙間を形成してもよい。
 図16において、ステータ31は、切欠きA73を有する。切欠きA73は、磁極32aおよびインシュレータ35に形成されている。切欠きA73は、ステータ31の上における部分的な凹部である。切欠きA73は、センサ43dが配置される範囲に設けられている。切欠きA73は、隙間32bをわずかに拡大するように形成されている。切欠きA73は、ステータ31とカバー53dとの直接的な接触を回避するように形成されている。
 カバー53dは、ステータ31と接触する接触部A62と、ステータ31と接触しない非接触部A63とを有する。接触部A62と非接触部A63との周方向の幅は同じである。接触部A62と非接触部A63との両方は、幅広部である。切欠きA73により、ステータ31と非接触部A63との間には隙間A64が区画形成される。切欠きA73は、離間部である非接触部A63に対応する範囲に設けられている。切欠きA73によって区画された隙間A64は、ステータ31の径方向に沿って空気が流れる通路を提供する。隙間A64は、ステータ31とカバー53dとの間の熱移動を抑制するために貢献する。
 (第11実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。上記実施形態では、軸方向に関するカバー53の位置は、センサユニット41とステータ31との接触および/またはカバー53の基部とステータ31との接触によって規定されている。これに代えて、カバー53に形成された端面とステータ31との接触によってカバー53の軸方向位置が規定されてもよい。
 図17は、ステータ31とカバー53とを模式的に示す部分的な正面図である。図中には、複数のカバー53のうちの代表的なひとつが描かれている。ステータ31は、磁極32aとインシュレータ35とによって形成された複数の磁極部分B31を有する。隣接する2つの磁極部分B31の間には、隙間32bが形成されている。
 磁極部分B31は、カバー53を受け入れるための隙間を区画形成するために、段付きの側面を有する。磁極部分B31の側面は、1段の階段状である。段付きの側面は、軸方向に面する段差面B74を提供する。段差面B74は、磁極部分B31に形成された切欠きによって提供されているとも見ることができる。段差面B74は、磁極部分B31に形成された周方向凸部によって提供されているとも見ることができる。段差面B74は、磁極32aおよび/またはインシュレータ35によって提供することができる。
 カバー53は、段差面B74に当接する端面B75を有する。端面B75は、カバー53の先端面である。カバー53は、端面B75が段差面B74に当接することによって規定の位置に位置付けられる。
 この実施形態でも、カバー53は、接触部62と非接触部63とを有する。非接触部63は、カバー53と磁極部分B31との間に隙間64を区画形成する。センサ43は、非接触部63の中に収容されている。隙間64は、ステータ31の径方向に沿って空気が通過することができる貫通穴である。隙間64は、センサ43に対して周方向に位置している。よって、隙間64は、周方向隙間とも呼ばれる。隙間64は、ステータ31とカバー53との間の熱移動を抑制する。隙間64は、カバー53およびステータ31からの放熱に貢献する。
 (第12実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。図18において、カバー53は、先端部に追加的な嵌め合い部C76、C77を有する。嵌め合い部C76、C77は、磁極部分B31と嵌合することによってカバー53を周方向および/または径方向に関して保持する。カバー53は、その先端に板部分C76を有する。板部分C76は、隣接する2つの磁極部分B31の間に配置される。カバー53は、その先端に板部分C77を有する。板部分C77は、隣接する2つの磁極部分B31の背後に位置づけられる。板部分C77は、磁極部分B31の背面に接触する。板部分C76と板部分C77とは、T字型の断面をなすように配置されている。嵌め合い部C76、C77は、磁極32aおよび/またはインシュレータ35と嵌合する。嵌め合い部C77は、径方向の片方(径方向外側)に関してカバー53とステータ31とが嵌り合う接触部を提供する。
 (第13実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。図19において、磁極部分B31は、追加的な切欠きD73を有する。切欠きD73は、板部分C76に隣接するように形成される。切欠きD73は、磁極部分B31の側面に追加的な段を提供する。この結果、磁極部分B31の側面は、多段の階段状、具体的には2段の階段状である。なお、図示される切欠きD73は、長方形であるが、それ自身が階段状に形成されてもよい。
 切欠きD73によって、カバー53と磁極部分B31との間には、追加的な隙間D78が区画形成される。隙間D78は、端面B75と磁極部分B31との間、および板部分C76と磁極部分B31との間に区画形成される。隙間D78は、センサ43に対して軸方向に位置している。隙間D78は、軸方向隙間とも呼ばれる。隙間D78は、磁極部分B31と嵌め合い部C76、C77との接触面積を減少させるために貢献する。接触面積の減少は、熱移動を抑制する。
 隙間D78は、径方向外側に向けて開放されている。隙間D78は、径方向内側において板部分C77によって閉塞されている。よって、隙間D78は、径方向に沿って空気を通過させることはないが、隙間D78に導入される空気は放熱を促進する。
 隙間64と隙間D78とは、周方向および軸方向の両方に関してステータ31と対向するが非接触の非接触部D63を提供する。非接触部D63は、ステータ31の周方向および軸方向の両方に関してステータ31から離れて位置づけられる離間部を提供する。切欠きD73は、離間部としての非接触部D63に対応する範囲に設けられている。カバー53は、2つの磁極部分B31の間においてステータ31の軸方向に関して磁極部分B31と当接する端面B75を有する。センサ43は、非接触部D63の中に収容されている。
 この実施形態によると、カバー53を規定の位置に位置づけることができるとともに、隙間64、D78によりセンサ43の温度上昇が抑制される。さらに、多段の階段状の側面は、センサ43によって検出される磁束の望ましくない分布および/または望ましくない過渡的変化を抑制する場合がある。多段の階段状の側面は、隙間64または隙間D78を形成しない内燃機関用回転電機にも採用可能である。
 (第14実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。図20において、磁極部分B31は、段付き側面および段差面B74に代えて、傾斜面E74を有する。隣接する2つの磁極部分B31の間には、隙間32bが区画形成されている。隙間32bは、カバー53を受け入れるための広い幅の部分と、回転電機として望ましい狭い幅の部分とを有する。傾斜面E74は、広い幅の部分と、狭い幅の部分との間に位置している。
 傾斜面E74は、カバー53の角部と接触することによってカバー53の軸方向の位置を規定する。また、傾斜面E74は、隙間D78を区画形成するための切欠きE73でもある。
 図示の例では、傾斜面E74は磁極32aの形状として提供される。傾斜面E74は、磁極32aの辺に設けられている。傾斜面E74は、複数の電磁鋼板を徐々にずらすことによって形成されてもよい。この場合、傾斜面E74は、微小な段付き面である。傾斜面E74は、インシュレータ35によって形成されてもよい。
 この実施形態でも、ステータ31とカバー53との間の熱移動が抑制される。さらに、傾斜面E74は、センサ43によって検出される磁束の望ましくない分布および/または望ましくない過渡的変化を抑制する場合がある。なお、傾斜面E74の軸方向の両端には、段差面B74に相当する小さい段差面が設けられてもよい。傾斜面E74は、隙間64または隙間D78を形成しない内燃機関用回転電機にも採用可能である。
 (第15実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。図21において、カバー53は、接触部62だけを備える。よって、カバー53は、隙間64を区画形成しない。センサ43は、接触部62の中に収容されている。ステータ31とカバー53とは、切欠きD73によって軸方向に位置する隙間D78だけを区画形成する。隙間D78は、軸方向に関してステータ31と対向するが、ステータ31と非接触の非接触部F63を提供する。非接触部F63は、ステータ31の軸方向に関してステータ31から離れて位置づけられる離間部を提供する。センサ43は、非接触部F63の近傍に収容されている。この構成でも、ステータ31とカバー53との間の熱移動が抑制され、放熱が促進される。しかも、切欠きD73によって、磁束の望ましくない分布および/または望ましくない過渡的な変化が抑制される。
 (第16実施形態)
 この実施形態は、先行する実施形態を基礎的形態とする変形例である。図22において、カバー53は、嵌め合い部C77を備えない。カバー53は、嵌め合い部C76だけを備える。切欠きD73が提供する隙間G78は、ステータ31の径方向に貫通した隙間である。隙間G78は、空気の通路を提供する。この実施形態によると、嵌め合い部C77を経由する熱移動がなくなる。この結果、ステータ31とカバー53との間の熱移動が抑制される。なお、嵌め合い部C77に代えて、嵌め合い部C76をなくしてもよい。この構成では、嵌め合い部C76を経由する熱移動がなくなる。また、隙間G78が拡大されるから放熱効果を向上させることができる。

  1.  内燃機関(12)に連動する回転電機(10)のロータ(21)に設けられた磁石(23)の磁束を検出することにより前記ロータの回転位置を示す電気信号を出力する内燃機関用回転位置検出装置において、
     前記回転電機のステータ(31)に設けられた2つの磁極部分(32a、B31)の間に配置され、前記磁束を検出するセンサ(43)と、
     前記センサを2つの前記磁極部分の間に配置し、保持するための保持部材であって、前記ステータに接触して位置づけられる接触部(62、67、367、467、567、661、771、862、972、A62、B75、C76、C77)、および前記ステータから離れて位置づけられる離間部(63、57、668、763、863、963、A63、D63、F63)を有する保持部材(52、53、56、57)とを備える内燃機関用回転位置検出装置。
  2.  前記離間部は、空気が導入される隙間(64、264、669、964、A64、D78、G78)を介して前記ステータに対向する部位である請求項1に記載の内燃機関用回転位置検出装置。
  3.  前記保持部材は、前記センサを収容し、前記ステータの軸方向に沿って前記ステータの端面から、2つの前記磁極部分の間に延びるように配置されるカバー(53)を備え、
     前記カバーは、
     前記ステータの周方向に関して前記ステータと接触して位置づけられる前記接触部と、
     前記ステータの周方向および/または軸方向に関して前記ステータから離れて位置づけられる前記離間部(63、57、668、763、863、963、A63、D63、F63)とを有する請求項2に記載の内燃機関用回転位置検出装置。
  4.  前記カバーは、前記離間部(D63、F63)において、前記ステータの軸方向に関して前記ステータから離れて位置づけられ、
     前記カバーは、2つの前記磁極部分の間において前記ステータの軸方向に関して前記磁極部分と当接する端面(B75)を有する請求項3に記載の内燃機関用回転位置検出装置。
  5.  前記カバーは、
     2つの前記磁極部分に接触する幅(W62)をもつ幅広部(62、661、771、862、972)と、
     前記幅広部より細い幅(W63)をもち、2つの前記磁極部分から離れて位置づけられる幅狭部(63、668、763、863、963、D63)とを有する請求項3または請求項4に記載の内燃機関用回転位置検出装置。
  6.  前記カバーは、前記ステータの径方向内側および/または径方向外側に関して、前記ステータと嵌り合う前記接触部(67、367、467、C77)を有する請求項3から請求項5のいずれかに記載の内燃機関用回転位置検出装置。
  7.  さらに、前記保持部材は、
     前記ステータの端面に配置され、前記センサに接続される電気回路部品を収容する容器であって、当該容器の底から前記カバーが延び出している容器(52)と、
     前記容器の底と前記カバーとの間に張り渡され、前記ステータから離れて位置づけられるリブ(57)とを備える請求項3から請求項6のいずれかに記載の内燃機関用回転位置検出装置。
  8.  前記保持部材は、前記離間部に隣接するように前記センサを収容している請求項1から請求項7のいずれかに記載の内燃機関用回転位置検出装置。
  9.  前記センサを含む複数のセンサと、前記保持部材を含む複数の保持部材とを備え、
     複数の前記保持部材のうちの少なくともひとつが前記離間部を有する請求項1から請求項8のいずれかに記載の内燃機関用回転位置検出装置。
  10.  請求項1から請求項8のいずれかに記載の内燃機関用回転位置検出装置と、
     前記回転電機の前記ロータと、
     前記回転電機の前記ステータであって、前記離間部に対応して設けられた切欠き(A73、D73、E73)を有する前記ステータ(31)とを備える内燃機関用回転電機。
