Definitions
- the present disclosure relates to a vehicle air conditioner including a cold storage heat exchanger.
- the refrigeration cycle apparatus In the vehicle air conditioner, the refrigeration cycle apparatus is driven by the traveling engine. For this reason, if the engine is stopped while the vehicle is temporarily stopped, the refrigeration cycle apparatus is stopped.
- so-called idle stop vehicles that stop the engine while the vehicle is stopped such as waiting for a signal are increasing.
- the refrigeration cycle apparatus may stop while the vehicle is stopped (while the engine is stopped), thereby impairing the comfort in the passenger compartment.
- the engine is restarted while the vehicle is stopped to maintain the air conditioning feeling, there is a risk of hindering improvement in fuel consumption.
- Patent Document 1 A technique for solving such a problem is disclosed in Patent Document 1.
- Patent Document 1 in order to maintain the air conditioning feeling even when the engine is stopped, the indoor heat exchanger has a cold storage function.
- Patent Document 1 describes a cool storage container in which a cool storage material is enclosed and disposed behind the air flow of a conventional evaporator. Thus, cold energy is stored while the vehicle is running, and this cold air is used while the vehicle is stopped.
- Patent Document 2 describes that a small-capacity cold storage container is provided adjacent to a tube constituting the refrigerant flow path of an evaporator, and a cold storage material is enclosed therein.
- Patent Document 3 describes that a normal paraffin having a stable solidification and melting characteristic for a long time and having a high latent heat is used as the cold storage material.
- Patent Document 4 describes that the engine is restarted.
- coasting For example, if you can move on inertia without stepping on the accelerator, such as downhill, you can save fuel by stopping the engine. Such traveling is called coasting or coasting.
- the stop time (vehicle speed is 0 km / h) is 358 seconds (29.7%) with respect to the total travel time of 1200 seconds.
- the deceleration amount in inertia traveling is 0.6 km / h or more and 2 km / h or less per second, the inertia traveling time is 169 seconds (14%). Therefore, by stopping the engine during inertial running time, it can be expected to extend the engine stop time by 40% or more compared to the conventional idle stop technology.
- the compressor is also stopped by stopping the engine during inertial running, so if the comfort in the vehicle cannot be maintained due to an increase in air-conditioner blowing temperature, the engine will be restarted in response to an air-conditioning request. Furthermore, when the engine is stopped during inertial running time, the engine stop time increases compared to the conventional case, so that the operation time of the air conditioner is reduced, the air temperature of the running air conditioner is increased, and the interior temperature may be increased.
- the first example is a conventional cold storage material used for idle stop.
- the second example is a cold storage material having a lower melting point than the first example.
- the temperature threshold during idling stop of the second example is exceeded, and it is necessary to restart the engine and drive the refrigeration cycle apparatus.
- the idle stop time is shorter in the second example than in the first example. This is because the temperature difference between the air temperature and the melting point is larger in the second example than in the first example, and thus the amount of cold storage energy consumed per hour is increased. If the melting point of the regenerator material is simply lowered in this way, the idle stop time may be shortened.
- the present disclosure has been made in view of the above points.
- the engine is stopped while the engine is stopped for a long time while the vehicle is stopped, and the engine is stopped while the rise of the blowing temperature is suppressed during inertial driving. It is an object of the present invention to provide a vehicle air conditioner that can perform the above.
- the vehicle air conditioner of the present disclosure includes a compressor, an evaporator, a travel state detection unit, a temperature detection unit, and a control device.
- Compressor is driven by a travel source of the vehicle, compresses and discharges the refrigerant, and circulates the refrigerant in the refrigeration cycle.
- An evaporator is arrange
- the traveling state detection unit detects the traveling state of the vehicle.
- the temperature detection unit detects the temperature of the air-conditioning air cooled by the evaporator.
- the control device controls the discharge amount of the compressor.
- the evaporator has a cold storage unit for exchanging heat with the refrigerant circulating in the interior to keep the amount of heat from the refrigerant.
- the cold storage unit has phase change energy in at least two different temperature zones.
- the set first temperature is higher than the third temperature and lower than the second temperature.
- One low temperature zone among at least two different temperature zones is a range from the third temperature to the first temperature.
- Another one of the at least two different temperature zones is a range from the first temperature to the second temperature.
- the phase change energy per unit volume or unit weight in the high temperature zone is larger than the phase change energy per unit volume or unit weight in the low temperature zone.
- the traveling state detection unit detects that the vehicle is coasting, which is a traveling state in which the vehicle acceleration device is not operated, the temperature detected by the temperature detection unit is less than a predetermined traveling speed.
- the compressor is controlled to stop during the first temperature or less, and when the traveling state detection unit detects that the vehicle is stopped, the temperature detected by the temperature detection unit is the second temperature or less. During this period, the compressor is controlled to stop.
- the evaporator includes a cold storage unit. Therefore, when the amount of heat from the refrigerant is kept in the cold storage unit and the compressor is stopped, the air-conditioning air can be cooled by the cold heat stored in the cold storage unit. Since the cold heat stored in the cold storage unit is finite, the temperature of the air-conditioning air increases as the time for cooling the air-conditioning air becomes longer.
- the control device controls to stop the compressor when the temperature detected by the temperature detection unit is equal to or lower than the first temperature when coasting. Since there is a low temperature zone having phase change energy below the first temperature, the state below the first temperature can be lengthened using the cold energy stored in the cold storage section. As a result, even if the compressor is stopped during inertial running, the temperature of the cold air can be maintained below the first temperature.
- the control device controls the compressor to be stopped while the temperature detected by the temperature detection unit is equal to or lower than the second temperature. Since there is a high temperature zone having phase change energy above the first temperature, the state below the second temperature can be lengthened by using the cold energy stored in the cold storage section. Thereby, even if the compressor is stopped while the vehicle is stopped, the temperature of the cold air can be maintained at the second temperature or lower.
- phase change energy in the high temperature zone is larger than the phase change energy per unit volume or unit weight in the low temperature zone. This is because the phase in which the vehicle is stopped is longer than the time during which the vehicle is coasting, so that more phase change energy is used for the longer time. As a result, it is possible to maintain the comfort in the vehicle while stopping the compressor for a long time while the vehicle is stopped, and to stop the compressor while suppressing the temperature rise of the cold air during a short inertia running. Therefore, the comfort in the passenger compartment can be maintained while improving the fuel efficiency.

- the cold storage material 50 is a material that exchanges heat with the refrigerant flowing through the refrigerant passage 45a to keep the amount of heat from the refrigerant.
- the cold storage material 50 is retained by solidifying the heat from the refrigerant, and is released to the outside by melting the retained heat.
- paraffin is used for the cold storage material 50.
- the melting point and heat of fusion of paraffin depend on the number of carbons. Paraffin has a higher melting point as the carbon number increases.
- the melting point of the regenerator 50 is preferably in the temperature range (specifically, between 0 ° C. and 20 ° C.) operated by the air conditioner.
- the reason why the melting point is preferably greater than 0 ° C. will be described.
- the regenerator material 50 becomes 0 ° C. or lower, the moisture adhering to the surfaces of the evaporator 40 and the regenerator container 47 is solidified, so that the air passage 460 of the evaporator 40 may be blocked.
- the performance of the evaporator 40 is greatly reduced. Therefore, it is preferable to set the temperature of the evaporator 40 to be higher than 0 ° C. Therefore, the melting point of the regenerator material 50 is preferably larger than 0 ° C.
- the melting point is preferably 20 ° C. or lower.
- the temperature at which passengers feel uncomfortable during an idle stop is about 20 ° C. Therefore, when the temperature in the passenger compartment reaches 20 ° C., the cooling operation is resumed.
- the melting point of the cool storage material 50 By setting the melting point of the cool storage material 50 to 20 ° C. or less, all the cold heat stored in the cool storage material 50 until the temperature in the passenger compartment reaches 20 ° C. is consumed, and an efficient operation becomes possible.
- the regenerator material 50 is mainly composed of paraffin and a mixture of two types of paraffin.
- the cold storage material 50 is a mixture of paraffin having 15 carbon atoms and paraffin having 16 carbon atoms.
- the temperature of the maximum value of the latent heat is different between the paraffin having 15 carbon atoms and the paraffin having 16 carbon atoms.
- the latent heat of paraffin having 15 carbon atoms has two maximum values. Specifically, the latent heat of paraffin having 15 carbon atoms is maximum at about -1 ° C and about 12 ° C. Further, the latent heat of paraffin having 16 carbon atoms reaches a maximum value at about 21 ° C.
- the regenerator material 50 of this embodiment has a mixed paraffin obtained by mixing a paraffin having 15 carbon atoms and a paraffin having 16 carbon atoms as a main component.
- the latent heat of a C16 paraffin is higher than the latent heat of a C15 paraffin.
- the mixed paraffin has a maximum value of latent heat between the third temperature and the first temperature and between the first temperature and the second temperature. In other words, the mixed paraffin has one minimum value of latent heat near the first temperature.
- the regenerator material 50 changes phase, and thus the regenerator material 50 of the present embodiment has phase change energy in two different temperature zones.
- the first temperature, the third temperature set to a temperature lower than the first temperature, and the second temperature set to a temperature higher than the first temperature are set in advance. That is, the preset first temperature is higher than the third temperature and lower than the second temperature.
- the second temperature is higher than 10 ° C. and 20 ° C. or lower.
- the first temperature is 10 ° C. or higher and 15 ° C. or lower
- the second temperature is higher than 15 ° C. and 20 ° C. or lower.
- the first temperature is 10 ° C.
- the second temperature is 18 ° C.
- the third temperature is 5 ° C.
- the cold storage material 50 has latent heat in a plurality of temperature zones including at least two types of temperature zones.
- one of the two temperature zones is a low temperature zone from the third temperature to the first temperature.
- the other of the two temperature zones is a temperature zone higher than the low temperature zone, and is a high temperature zone from the first temperature to the second temperature.
- the regenerator material 50 of the present embodiment has a low temperature zone that is a range from the third temperature to the first temperature, a high temperature that is higher than the low temperature zone and a range from the first temperature to the second temperature. And a temperature zone.
- Table 1 shows the blending ratio of paraffin (C15) having 15 carbon atoms and paraffin (C16) having 16 carbon atoms, and the latent heat of the mixed paraffin in each of the low temperature zone and the high temperature zone at each blending ratio.
- the latent heat hardly occurs at the first temperature or lower (low temperature zone), so that the C16 paraffin should be less than 80 mass percent. preferable. Furthermore, the coasting running time is shorter than the idle stop, and the required amount of cold heat is small. Accordingly, in order to efficiently use the regenerative heat without accumulating excess cold heat at or below the first temperature, the latent heat in the low temperature zone from the third temperature to the first temperature is higher than the high temperature zone from the first temperature to the second temperature. It is preferable that the latent heat of is larger. Furthermore, it is preferable that the idle stop time is equal to or greater than that of paraffin having 15 carbon atoms. In other words, it is preferable that the phase change energy held in the high temperature zone is larger than the phase change energy per unit volume or unit weight held in the low temperature zone.
- the mass percent concentration of the C15 paraffin regenerator 50 is higher than 20 mass percent and less than 50 mass percent.
- the mass percentage concentration in the cold storage material 50 of the C16 paraffin is higher than the 50 mass percent concentration and less than the 80 mass percent concentration.
- the compressor 20 When there is an air conditioning request from the passenger, for example, a cooling request, the compressor 20 is driven by the engine 70.
- the compressor 20 sucks the refrigerant from the evaporator 40, compresses it, and discharges it.
- the refrigerant discharged from the compressor 20 is radiated by the radiator 30.
- the refrigerant discharged from the radiator 30 is decompressed by the decompressor 60 and supplied to the evaporator 40.
- the refrigerant evaporates in the evaporator 40, cools the cold storage container 47, and cools surrounding air through the outer fins 46.
- the engine 70 stops to reduce energy consumption, and the compressor 20 stops. Specifically, based on information from engine ECU 71, air conditioner ECU 11 controls to stop compressor 20 when the vehicle temperature is at or below the second temperature when the vehicle is in a stopped state. To do.
- the refrigerant in the evaporator 40 gradually loses its cooling capacity.
- the cool storage material 50 gradually cools and cools the air.
- the heat of the air is conducted to the cold storage material 50 through the outer fin 46, the refrigerant pipe 45, and the cold storage container 47.
- the cool storage material 50 can cool the air.
- the engine 70 drives the compressor 20 again.
- the refrigerating cycle apparatus 10 cools the cool storage material 50 again, and the cool storage material 50 cools it.
- the blowing temperature becomes higher than the second temperature
- the engine 70 drives the compressor 20 again.
- the compressor 20 is driven to prevent the environment in the vehicle interior from deteriorating.
- the flow shown in FIG. 7 is repeatedly executed in a short time by the air conditioner ECU 11 when the vehicle air conditioner is in an operating state.
- S1 it is determined whether or not the vehicle is coasting based on information from the engine ECU 71. If it is determined in S1 that the vehicle is coasting, the flow proceeds to S2. If it is determined in S1 that the vehicle is not coasting, this flow is terminated.
- the deceleration amount is within a predetermined range, it is determined that the vehicle is traveling inertia.
- the predetermined range of the deceleration amount is, for example, 0.6 km / h or more and 2 km / h or less per second.
- the vehicle is coasting also when the accelerator accelerator is not operated. Further, for example, even if the vehicle is not decelerated on a downhill, it is determined that the vehicle is coasting when the speed is equal to or lower than a predetermined traveling speed and the accelerator is not operated.
- the blowing temperature of the vehicle air conditioner is compared with the third temperature. If the blowing temperature is equal to or lower than the third temperature, the flow moves to S3. If not, the flow moves to S7.
- the compressor 20 is stopped, and the flow proceeds to S4.
- the cold storage material 50 is at or below the third temperature without driving the engine 70, so that the blowing temperature can be maintained at or below the first temperature by the cold heat of the cold storage material 50. Therefore, even if the compressor 20 is stopped, the rise of the blowing temperature can be suppressed by the cold storage material 50.
- S4 it is determined whether or not the inertial traveling is finished and the vehicle is traveling normally. If the inertial running has ended, the flow moves to S6, and if the inertial running has not ended and the inertial running is in progress, the flow moves to S5. In S5, since it is coasting, it is determined whether or not the blowing temperature is equal to or higher than the first temperature. When the blowing temperature is equal to or higher than the first temperature, the flow moves to S6, and when the blowing temperature is not equal to or higher than the first temperature, the flow returns to S3. As a result, during inertial running, the compressor 20 is stopped when the blowing temperature becomes equal to or higher than the first temperature.
- the air conditioner ECU 11 performs control so that the compressor 20 is stopped while the blowout temperature is equal to or lower than the first temperature during inertial running. Therefore, the engine 70 can be stopped during inertial running. Moreover, even if the engine 70 is stopped, the conditioned air having a blowing temperature equal to or lower than the first temperature can be provided in the vehicle interior by the cold heat of the regenerator material 50.
- FIG. 8 shows waveforms of the first comparative example, the second comparative example, and the present embodiment.
- the broken line shows the first comparative example.
- the vehicle air conditioner of the first comparative example does not have a cold storage function.
- a thin solid line indicates the second comparative example.
- the vehicle air conditioner of the second comparative example uses paraffin having 15 carbon atoms as the cold storage material 50.
- a thick solid line indicates this embodiment.
- the vehicle air conditioner of the present embodiment uses the mixed paraffin shown in FIG.
- the left side of FIG. 8 is a waveform during coasting, and the right side is a waveform during idle stop.
- the waveform during coasting will be described.
- inertial running is started and the rotational speed of the engine 70 is zero. Therefore, the compressor 20 is also stopped.
- blowing temperature rises in a short time and reaches target blowing temperature which is the 1st temperature at time t82. Therefore, in the first comparative example, the engine 70 is driven and the compressor 20 is driven at time t82.
- the blowing temperature of the second comparative example reaches the target blowing temperature. Therefore, in the second comparative example, the engine 70 is driven and the compressor 20 is driven at time t83.
- the regenerator material of the second comparative example the latent heat in the low temperature zone is small, and the difference between the melting point and the blowing temperature is large, so the time until reaching the blowing temperature is short.
- the blowing temperature reaches the target blowing temperature at time t84.
- the accelerator is stepped on at time t84 and the vehicle speed is increased, coasting has ended, but the engine 70 can be stopped until coasting has ended.
- the waveform during idle stop will be described.
- the engine 70 is stopped. Therefore, the compressor 20 is also stopped.
- the blowing temperature rises for a short time like the above-mentioned, and reaches the target blowing temperature which is the 1st temperature at time t86. Therefore, in the first comparative example, the engine 70 is driven and the compressor 20 is driven at time t86.
- the blowing temperature of the second comparative example and this embodiment reaches the target blowing temperature.
- the accelerator is stepped on at time t87 and the vehicle speed increases. Therefore, although the idling stop is completed, the engine 70 can be stopped until the idling stop is completed. Therefore, in the present embodiment, the second comparative example has the same effect even during idling stop, and the cold storage effect during coasting is superior to the second comparative example.
- the compressor 20 should be restarted at a first temperature lower than the second temperature so as not to raise the in-vehicle temperature.
- the cool storage material of the second comparative example releases a large amount of cool storage energy between the first temperature and the second temperature.
- the regenerator material of the second comparative example has a melting point higher than the first temperature, the blowing temperature immediately rises and exceeds the first temperature during coasting. Therefore, it is necessary to restart the engine 70 in a short time and drive the compressor 20.
- this embodiment can store cold heat at a temperature lower than the first temperature, it is possible to suppress an increase in the blowing temperature as compared with the second comparative example.
- the evaporator 40 of this embodiment includes the cold storage container 47.
- a cold storage material 50 is accommodated in the cold storage container 47. Therefore, when the amount of heat from the refrigerant is retained in the cold storage material 50 and the compressor 20 is stopped, the air-conditioning air can be cooled by the cold heat stored in the cold storage material 50. Since the cold heat stored in the cold storage material 50 is finite, the temperature of the air conditioning air rises as the time for cooling the air conditioning air becomes longer.
- the air conditioner ECU 11 stops the compressor 20 during the inertia running while the blowing temperature is equal to or lower than the first temperature. Since there is a low temperature zone having phase change energy below the first temperature, the state where the blowing temperature is below the first temperature can be kept long by using the cold energy stored in the cold storage material 50. Thereby, even if the compressor 20 is stopped during inertial running, the temperature of the cold air can be maintained at the first temperature or lower.
- the air conditioner ECU 11 stops the compressor 20 while the blowing temperature is equal to or lower than the second temperature. Since there is a high temperature zone having phase change energy above the first temperature, the state where the blowing temperature is below the second temperature can be kept long by using the cold energy stored in the cold storage material 50. Thereby, even if the compressor 20 is stopped while the vehicle is stopped, the temperature of the cold air can be maintained at the second temperature or lower.
- the phase change energy of the cool storage material 50 in the high temperature zone is larger than the phase change energy per unit volume or unit weight of the cool storage material 50 in the low temperature zone. This is because the time that the vehicle is stopped is longer than the time during which the vehicle is coasting, and more phase change energy is used during a longer duration. Thereby, the comfort inside the vehicle can be maintained while the compressor 20 is stopped for a long time while the vehicle is stopped. Furthermore, the compressor 20 can be stopped while suppressing the temperature rise of the cold air during the coasting for a short time. Therefore, the comfort in the vehicle compartment can be maintained while improving the fuel efficiency.
- the air conditioner ECU 11 controls the compressor 20 so that the blowing temperature is equal to or lower than the third temperature when the vehicle is running instead of inertia running.
- the cold storage capacity of the cold storage material 50 can be maximized to store cold heat. Therefore, at the time of idling stop or coasting, the capacity of the cold storage material 50 can be maximized and the stopped state of the compressor 20 can be maintained.
- each cold storage container 47 may contain a cold storage material containing paraffin having a different composition.
- at least two cool storage materials having different cool storage capacities may be stored in each cool storage container 47 (each storing portion 461). That is, the cool storage material 50 may be one of a plurality of cool storage materials (cold storage units) including paraffins having different compositions. Therefore, the cool storage capacity of adjacent cool storage materials may be different.
- one of the at least two cool storage materials first cool storage material
- the other of the at least two cool storage materials has a high temperature. Select a regenerator so that the band has phase change energy.
- the total cool storage amount of the first cool storage material is selected to be larger than the total cool storage amount of the second cool storage material.
- the total cold storage amount is a value obtained by multiplying the phase change energy per unit volume or unit weight by the enclosed amount.
- Example 1 Paraffin having 14 carbon atoms is used as the first cold storage material. This paraffin has a melting point of 6 ° C. Paraffin having 15 carbon atoms is used as the second cold storage material. This paraffin has a melting point of 10 ° C.
- Example 2 As the first cold storage material, paraffin having 14 carbon atoms is used.
- a mixed paraffin having 15 carbon atoms and 16 carbon atoms is used.
- the blending ratio of the C15 paraffin is set to be greater than 20 mass percent and less than 50 mass%, and the blending ratio of the C16 paraffin is set to be greater than 50 mass percent and less than 80 mass percent.
- Paraffin having 15 carbon atoms is used as the first regenerator material.
- a mixed paraffin having 15 carbon atoms and 16 carbon atoms is used as the second regenerator.
- the blending ratio of the C15 paraffin is set to be greater than 20% by weight and less than 50% by weight
- the blending ratio of the C16 paraffin is set to be greater than 50% by weight and less than 80% by weight.
- Example 4 For both the first regenerator material and the second regenerator material, a mixed paraffin of paraffin having 15 carbon atoms and paraffin having 16 carbon atoms is used.
- the blending ratio of the C15 paraffin is set to be greater than 20 mass percent and less than 50 mass%, and the blending ratio of the C16 paraffin is greater than 50 mass percent to 80 Less than mass percent.
- concentration of the C15 paraffin of a 1st cool storage material is made higher than the density
- decreasing the blending ratio of carbon 15 paraffins increases the latent heat above the first temperature and below the second temperature (high temperature zone). Increasing the temperature increases the latent heat at the third temperature or more and the first temperature or less (low temperature zone).
- Three or more kinds of cold storage materials may be used. As a result, cold storage can be performed in stages, and a wider range of air-conditioning temperature can be accommodated.
- the refrigerant tube 45 can be provided by a multi-hole extruded tube or a tube obtained by bending a plate material formed with dimples into a cylindrical shape. Furthermore, the fins can be omitted. Such a heat exchanger is also called a finless type. Instead of fins, protrusions extending from the refrigerant pipe may be provided to promote heat exchange with air. Further, the cold storage container 47 may not be disposed on the outer periphery of the refrigerant pipe 45, and the cold storage container 47 may be disposed in the refrigerant passage.
- the present disclosure can be applied to an evaporator having various flow paths.
- the present disclosure may be applied to an evaporator such as a one-way type or a front and rear U-turn type.
- the temperature of the air-conditioning air cooled by the evaporator 40 is detected by the post-evaporation temperature sensor 12.
- the temperature of the regenerator 50 may be directly measured by the temperature detection unit, or the temperature of the evaporator 40 itself may be measured.
