ところで、無線端末が所定速度よりも高い速度で移動している場合には、移動通信網から無線LANに対する切替処理が実行された後に、無線LANから移動通信網への切替処理が直ちに実行される可能性がある。従って、無線端末が所定速度よりも高い速度で移動している場合には、移動通信網から無線LANに対する切替処理を一律に禁止することが考えられる。
(通信システム)
以下において、実施形態に係る通信システムについて説明する。図1は、実施形態に係る通信システム1を示す図である。
実施形態において、移動通信網と無線LANとの間で待ち受け先又は接続先を切り替える切替処理(例えば、ネットワークセレクション及びトラフィックステアリング)を行う方法について説明する。切替処理は、移動通信網から無線LANに対して待ち受け先又は接続先を切り替える第1切替処理、及び、無線LANから移動通信網に対して待ち受け先又は接続先を切り替える第2切替処理の双方を含む。但し、実施形態では、切替処理が第1切替処理であるケースについて主として説明する。
移動通信網から無線LANに対して待ち受け先又は接続先を切り替える第1条件は、例えば、以下の条件(1a)又は(1b)のいずれかが満たされることである。但し、第1条件は、以下の条件(1a)~(1b)の全てが満たされることであってもよい。

無線LANから移動通信網に対して待ち受け先又は接続先を切り替える第1条件は、例えば、以下の条件(2a)及び(2b)が満たされることである。但し、第1条件は、以下の条件(2a)又は(2b)のいずれかが満たされることであってもよい。
(2b)RSRQmeas>ThreshServingOffloadWLAN,HighQ
(2d)BackhaulRateDlWLAN<ThreshBackhRateDLWLAN,Low
(2e)BackhaulRateUlWLAN<ThreshBackhRateULWLAN,Low
(2f)RSSI<ThreshBEACONSRSSI,Low
上述した閾値が提供されていない場合には、無線端末10は、閾値が提供されていない情報の取得(すなわち、受信又は測定)を省略してもよい。
以下において、実施形態に係る無線端末について説明する。図2は、実施形態に係る無線端末10を示すブロック図である。
以下において、実施形態に係る無線基地局について説明する。図3は、実施形態に係る無線基地局100を示すブロック図である。
以下において、切替処理の判定について、移動通信網から無線LANに対する第1切替処理を例に挙げて説明する。
以下において、実施形態に係る通信方法について説明する。図6は、実施形態に係る通信方法を示すフロー図である。図6に示すフローは、無線端末10によって実行される。ここでは、切替処理が第1切替処理であるケースについて説明する。
実施形態によれば、無線端末10の制御部13は、無線端末10の移動状態が第2状態であっても、無線LANを構成するアクセスポイント200が移動アクセスポイントであれば、所定期間に亘って第1切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、第1切替処理を実行する。従って、第2状態において、移動通信網から無線LANに対する第1切替処理が一律に禁止されず、移動アクセスポイントを有効に利用することができる。
以下において、実施形態の変更例1について説明する。以下においては、実施形態に対する相違点について主として説明する。
以下において、変更例1に係る通信方法について説明する。図7は、変更例1に係る通信方法を示すフロー図である。図7に示すフローは、無線端末10によって実行される。ここでは、切替処理が第1切替処理であるケースについて説明する。
変更例1によれば、無線端末10の制御部13は、無線端末10の移動状態が第2状態であっても、第2期間に亘って第1切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、第1切替処理を実行する。従って、第2状態において、移動通信網から無線LANに第1切替処理が一律に禁止されず、移動アクセスポイントを有効に利用することができる。また、第2期間が第1期間よりも長いため、移動アクセスポイントが設置された移動体と同様の移動を無線端末10が偶発的に行っているケースにおいて、第1切替処理が誤って行われる可能性を軽減することができる。このようなケースは、例えば、移動アクセスポイントが設置された乗り物に無線端末10を所持するユーザが乗車していないケースなどである。
以下において、実施形態の変更例2について説明する。以下においては、実施形態に対する相違点について主として説明する。
以下において、変更例2に係る通信方法について説明する。図8は、変更例2に係る通信方法を示すフロー図である。図8に示すフローは、無線端末10によって実行される。ここでは、切替処理が第1切替処理であるケースについて説明する。
変更例2によれば、無線端末10の制御部13は、無線LANを構成するアクセスポイント200が移動アクセスポイントであり、第2期間に亘って第1切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、第1切替処理を実行する。従って、移動アクセスポイントを有効に利用することが可能である。また、第2期間が第1期間よりも長いため、移動アクセスポイントが設置された移動体と同様の移動を無線端末が偶発的に行っているケースにおいて、第1切替処理が誤って行われる可能性を軽減することができる。このようなケースは、例えば、移動アクセスポイントが設置された乗り物に無線端末を所持するユーザが乗車していないケースに加えて、移動アクセスポイントが設置された乗り物が一時的に停止しているケースなどなどである。
以下において、実施形態の変更例3について説明する。以下においては、変更例1に対する相違点について主として説明する。
以下において、変更例3に係る通信方法について説明する。図9は、変更例3に係る通信方法を示すフロー図である。図9に示すフローは、無線端末10によって実行される。ここでは、切替処理が第1切替処理であるケースについて説明する。
変更例3によれば、無線端末10の制御部13は、無線端末10は、無線LANを構成するアクセスポイント200が固定アクセスポイントであるときに、無線端末10の移動状態が第2状態であると判定された場合に、第1切替処理を禁止する。従って、移動アクセスポイントを有効に利用しながらも、移動通信網から無線LANに対する第1切替処理が行われた後に無線LANから移動通信網に対する第2切替処理が直ちに実行される事態が抑制される。
以下において、実施形態の変更例4について説明する。以下においては、変更例2に対する相違点について主として説明する。
以下において、変更例4に係る通信方法について説明する。図10は、変更例4に係る通信方法を示すフロー図である。図10に示すフローは、無線端末10によって実行される。ここでは、切替処理が第1切替処理であるケースについて説明する。
変更例4によれば、無線端末10の制御部13は、無線端末10の移動状態が第2状態であると判定されたときに、無線LANを構成するアクセスポイント200が固定アクセスポイントである場合に、第1切替処理の実行を禁止する。従って、移動アクセスポイントを有効に利用しながらも、移動通信網から無線LANに対する第1切替処理が行われた後に無線LANから移動通信網に対する第2切替処理が直ちに実行される事態が抑制される。
以下において、実施形態の変更例5について説明する。以下においては、第1実施形態及び変更例2に対する相違点について主として説明する。
以下において、変更例5に係る通信方法について説明する。図11は、変更例5に係る通信方法を示すフロー図である。図11に示すフローは、無線端末10によって実行される。ここでは、切替処理が第2切替処理であるケースについて説明する。
変更例5によれば、無線端末10の制御部13は、無線LANを構成するアクセスポイント200が移動アクセスポイントであり、第3期間よりも長い第4期間に亘って第2切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、第2切替処理を実行する。すなわち、第4期間が第3期間よりも長いため、移動アクセスポイントが設置された乗り物が一時的に停止するケースにおいて、乗り物の一時停止に伴って無線LANから移動通信網への第2切替処理が実行された直後に、乗り物の発車に伴って移動通信網から無線LANへの第1切替処理が実行される事態が抑制される。すなわち、不要な第2切替処理の抑制によって、移動アクセスポイントを有効に利用することが可能である。
本発明は上述した実施形態によって説明したが、この開示の一部をなす論述及び図面は、この発明を限定するものであると理解すべきではない。この開示から当業者には様々な代替実施形態、実施例及び運用技術が明らかとなろう。

Claims (14)
- 無線端末であって、
移動通信網から無線LANに待ち受け先又は接続先を切り替える第1切替処理を行う制御部を備え、
前記制御部は、
前記無線端末の移動状態が第1状態であると判定され、所定期間に亘って前記第1切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、前記第1切替処理を実行し、
前記無線端末の移動状態が前記第1状態とは異なる第2状態であると判定され、かつ、前記無線LANを構成するアクセスポイントが移動アクセスポイントである場合に、前記所定期間に亘って前記第1切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、前記第1切替処理を実行することを特徴とする無線端末。 - 無線端末であって、
移動通信網から無線LANに待ち受け先又は接続先を切り替える第1切替処理を行う制御部を備え、
前記制御部は、
前記無線端末の移動状態が第1状態であると判定され、第1期間に亘って前記第1切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、前記第1切替処理を実行し、
前記無線端末の移動状態が前記第1状態とは異なる第2状態であると判定され、前記第1期間よりも長い第2期間に亘って前記第1切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、前記第1切替処理を実行することを特徴とする無線端末。 - 無線端末であって、
移動通信網から無線LANに待ち受け先又は接続先を切り替える第1切替処理を行う制御部を備え、
前記制御部は、
前記無線LANを構成するアクセスポイントが固定アクセスポイントであり、第1期間に亘って前記第1切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、前記第1切替処理を実行し、
前記無線LANを構成するアクセスポイントが移動アクセスポイントであり、前記第1期間よりも長い第2期間に亘って前記第1切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、前記第1切替処理を実行することを特徴とする無線端末。 - 前記制御部は、
前記無線LANを構成するアクセスポイントが固定アクセスポイントであるときに、前記無線端末の移動状態が前記第1状態であると判定され、前記第1期間に亘って前記第1切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、前記第1切替処理を実行し、
前記無線LANを構成するアクセスポイントが移動アクセスポイントであるときに、前記無線端末の移動状態が前記第2状態であると判定され、前記第2期間に亘って前記第1切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、前記第1切替処理を実行することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の無線端末。 - 前記制御部は、前記無線LANを構成するアクセスポイントが前記固定アクセスポイントであるときに、前記無線端末の移動状態が前記第2状態である場合に、前記第1切替処理の実行を禁止することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の無線端末。
- 前記制御部は、
前記無線端末の移動状態が第1状態であると判定されたときに、前記無線LANを構成するアクセスポイントが前記固定アクセスポイントであり、前記第1期間に亘って前記第1切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、前記第1切替処理を実行し、
前記無線端末の移動状態が前記第1状態とは異なる第2状態であると判定されたときに、前記無線LANを構成するアクセスポイントが前記移動アクセスポイントであり、前記第2期間に亘って前記第1切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、前記第1切替処理を実行することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の無線端末。 - 前記制御部は、前記無線端末の移動状態が前記第2状態であると判定されたときに、前記無線LANを構成するアクセスポイントが前記固定アクセスポイントである場合に、前記第1切替処理の実行を禁止することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の無線端末。
- 前記第2期間は、前記第1期間のN(Nは1よりも大きい整数)倍であり、
前記Nを示す値は、前記移動通信網から通知されることを特徴とする請求項2又は請求項3に記載の無線端末。 - 前記第2期間を示す値は、前記移動通信網から通知されることを特徴とする請求項2又は請求項3に記載の無線端末。
- 前記第2期間は、前記移動通信網で予め定められていることを特徴とする請求項2又は請求項3に記載の無線端末。
- 無線端末であって、
無線LANから移動通信網に待ち受け先又は接続先を切り替える第2切替処理を行う制御部を備え、
前記制御部は、
前記無線LANを構成するアクセスポイントが固定アクセスポイントであるときに、或いは、前記無線端末の移動状態が第1状態であると判定されたときに、第3期間に亘って前記第2切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、前記第2切替処理を実行し、
前記無線LANを構成するアクセスポイントが移動アクセスポイントであるときに、或いは、前記無線端末の移動状態が前記第1状態とは異なる第2状態であるとであると判定されたときに、前記第3期間よりも長い第4期間に亘って前記第2切替処理を行う条件が満たされた場合に、前記第2切替処理を実行することを特徴とする無線端末。 - 前記第4期間は、前記第3期間のN(Nは1よりも大きい整数)倍であり、
前記Nを示す値は、前記移動通信網から通知されることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の無線端末。 - 前記第4期間を示す値は、前記移動通信網から通知されることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の無線端末。
- 前記第4期間は、前記移動通信網で予め定められていることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の無線端末。
