Abstract

 シャドウモーメントに起因した海流発電装置の浮体の周期的な方向振動を抑制することができる海中浮遊式海流発電装置を提供する。 ナセル(4)内に収納された発電機(9)のロータを外部に突出した回転翼(5)により駆動する海流発電装置本体(2)が構造物の左右に結合されて、海中を浮遊可能な双胴型の浮体(1)として構成され、係留索によって海底に係止され、海流発電装置本体(2)には、回転翼(5)をナセル(4)よりも海流方向の下流側に配置したダウンウィンド方式が用いられ、回転翼(5)のブレード(5a)が海流方向の上流側の構造物の影の領域(シャドウモーメント領域)に進入した際の海流の流速低下に伴うスラスト力の減少によって浮体(1)に発生するモーメントを抑制するモーメント抑制手段(20)を備える。

Description

海中浮遊式海流発電装置
 本発明は、海流エネルギーを利用して発電を行なう海流発電装置に関し、特に、発電装置を海中に浮遊させて使用する海中浮遊式海流発電装置に関するものである。
 近年、様々な自然エネルギーを利用した発電技術が開発されている。例えば黒潮等の巨大な海流もエネルギー資源であり、この海流エネルギーを利用して発電を行なう海流発電装置も開発されている。この海流発電装置では、海流エネルギーによって回転翼を回転し、回転翼の軸に接続された発電機を回転させることにより発電を行なう。
 このような海流発電装置の一つの方式として、海中浮遊式海流発電装置(水中浮遊式海流発電装置)があり、例えば、特許文献1に開示されている。この海中浮遊式海流発電装置は、ある一定の浮力を持った浮体として構成した海流発電装置を海底から延びる係留索と繋ぐことによって、海流発電装置が係留索によって許容される範囲で海中を浮遊するようにしながら発電を行なうものである。海中浮遊式海流発電装置は、地上に設置する風力発電装置のような巨大な支柱が不要であり簡素な構成とすることができる。
 図14は特許文献1に開示された海中浮遊式海流発電装置を示す斜視図である。図14に示すように、この海中浮遊式海流発電装置は、浮体1として構成され、この浮体1の姿勢安定化を図るために、2つの海流発電装置本体2,2とこれらを接続する構造物3とから一つの浮体1を構成した双胴型を採用している。海流発電装置本体2は、ナセル(ポッドとも呼ぶ)4内に図示しない発電機を装備し、この発電機のロータに回転翼5の回転軸が接続されている。
 ナセル4は構造物3の左右両端に結合されている。構造物3の左右方向中央には係留索6の先端が結合され、係留索6の基端は海底に係止されている。浮体1は、係留索6に拘束された範囲で水平方向及び鉛直方向に海中を浮遊する。浮体1の浮力は左右でバランスしており、浮体1の構造物3は海流方向に対向するような翼形状に形成されている。これにより、浮体1は、その正面(回転翼5の正面)が海流方向に正対するように海流に応じて方向を変えて発電を実施する。
 また、この海流発電装置は、回転翼5をナセル4の後方(海流の下流側)に配置したダウンウィンド方式が採用されている。このように回転翼5をナセル4よりも下流側に配置することにより、浮体1の正面(回転翼5の正面)を海流方向に向けやすくなる。海中浮遊式海流発電装置の場合、浮体1の方向制御(海流の方向にロータ回転軸を合わせる制御)を能動的に実施する駆動装置の実装は難しいので、ダウンウィンド方式を採用すると共に、浮体1のナセル4や構造物3の形状を海流の方向に向かうように形成し、浮体1の正面方向が海流方向に受動的に向くように設定されている。
 また、係留索6に係止された浮体(海流発電装置)1は海中において浮遊するが、このとき、浮体1は、浮体1に加わる海流の作用力と、浮体1に生じる浮力と、係留索6の張力とがバランスした位置をとる。つまり、浮体1に対して、浮力は鉛直上方に作用し、海流の作用力は、海流方向(水平方向)に作用し、係留索の張力は浮力及び海流の作用力と対向するように作用する。したがって、海流の作用力が弱ければ(つまり、海流の流速が低ければ)、浮体1は海中で比較的浅い深度まで上昇し、海流の作用力が強ければ(つまり、海流の流速が高ければ)、浮体1は海中で比較的深い深度まで下降する。
 一方、海流の深さ方向の流速分布は、海底付近では海底に接近するほど低速となり海底から離隔するほど高速となる。このため、海流の流速が強まれば、浮体1は海中で下降して、深さ方向の流速分布で流速が適当に弱まった深度でバランスする。また、海流の流速が弱まれば、浮体1は海中で上昇して、深さ方向の流速分布で流速が適当に強まった深度でバランスする。
 特許文献1には、このように海流発電装置が流速に応じて昇降する特性に着目して、海流発電装置の水深方向の位置を受動的に自動で調整する制御[PDC(=Passive Depth Control)とも言う]を適用することで、能動的な制御(Active Depth Control)を不要とする旨も記載されている。

 上述のように、海中浮遊式海流発電装置の場合、浮体1の姿勢安定化を図るために、図14に示すように、2つの海流発電装置本体2,2を構造物3により接続して一つの浮体1を構成した双胴型を採用することが好ましい。また、特別な装置を要さずに浮体1の正面(回転翼5の正面)が海流方向に向くようにするために、回転翼5をナセル4の後方(海流の下流側)に配置したダウンウィンド方式を採用することが好ましい。
 浮体1に双胴型を採用する場合、当然ながら左右対称に構成すると共に、図16Aに白抜き矢印で示すように、左右の回転翼5に加わる海流の作用力(スラスト力)が常に等しくなるようにすることが好ましい。しかし、浮体1に双胴型を採用したものにダウンウィンド方式を採用すると、図15に示すように、回転翼5の前方正面の海流の流入領域の一部に構造物3が存在するため、構造物3後方に流速が低下する構造物の影の領域が発生する。回転翼5のブレード5aがこの構造物3の影の領域を通過する際には、ブレード5aに加わる海流のスラスト力が減少する。
 左右のうち片方の回転翼5のブレード5aへのスラスト力のみが減少すると、図16Bに黒矢印で示すように、浮体1の左右に加わるスラスト力のバランスが崩れて、図16Cに白抜き矢印で示すように、浮体1にモーメントMが生じる。このモーメントは、スラスト力変化のタイミングにより、ロール・ピッチ・ヨーのいずれの方向にも発生しうるものである。なお、このようにブレード5aが構造物の影の領域を通過する際のスラスト力のアンバランスに起因して浮体1に生じるモーメントをシャドウモーメントと称し、この原因となる構造物の影の領域をシャドウモーメント領域と称する。
 このシャドウモーメントが、左右の回転翼5でずれて交互に発生すると、浮体1がアンバランスになり、浮体1に周期的な振動が生じる。このような浮体1の振動の発生は、浮体の構造体やブレードや係留索等に損傷を及ぼす原因となるため、このような振動発生を低減する必要がある。風力発電装置の主流となっている、単胴型且つアップウィンド方式[回転翼5をナセル4の前方(流体の流れの上流側)に配置した方式]を海流発電装置に採用できればシャドウモーメントは発生しないためこうした課題は生じない。したがって、かかる課題は,海流発電装置、特に海中浮遊式海流発電装置に特有のものと言える。
 本発明は上記の課題に鑑み創案されたもので、シャドウモーメントに起因した海流発電装置の浮体の周期的な方向振動を抑制することができるようにした、海中浮遊式海流発電装置を提供することを目的とする。
 (1)上記の目的を達成するために、本発明の海中浮遊式海流発電装置は、ナセル内に収納された発電機のロータを前記ナセルの外部に突出した回転翼により駆動する海流発電装置本体が構造物の左右に結合されて、海中を浮遊可能な双胴型の浮体として構成され、前記構造物の左右中間部を係留索によって海底に係止されて使用される海中浮遊式海流発電装置であって、前記海流発電装置本体には、前記回転翼を前記ナセルよりも海流方向の下流側に配置したダウンウィンド方式が用いられ、前記回転翼のブレードが海流方向の上流側の前記構造物の影の領域(シャドウモーメント領域)に進入した際の海流の流速低下に伴うスラスト力の減少によって前記浮体に発生するモーメントを抑制するモーメント抑制手段を備えていることを特徴としている。なお、このモーメントとは、ロール,ピッチ,ヨーのいずれの方向のモーメントも含むものとする。
 (2)前記モーメント抑制手段は、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に進入した際の海流の前記スラスト力の減少を抑制するスラスト力減少抑制手段であることが好ましい。
 (3)前記スラスト力減少抑制手段は、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に進入した際の海流の流速低下に伴って前記回転翼ロータの回転速度を上昇させてスラスト力の減少を抑制することが好ましい。
 (4)前記モーメント抑制手段は、左右の前記海流発電装置本体の各々の前記回転翼の前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に同期して進入するように前記ブレードの回転位相を制御する回転位相制御手段であることが好ましい。
 (5)前記回転位相制御手段は、左右の前記海流発電装置本体の一方の前記回転翼の前記ブレードの回転位相を基準位相とし前記基準位相に他方の前記回転翼の回転位相が追従して同期するように前記ブレードの回転位相を制御することが好ましい。
 (6)あるいは、前記回転位相制御手段は、予め設定された基準位相に基づいて、左右の前記海流発電装置本体の各々の前記回転翼の前記ブレードの回転位相を制御することが好ましい。
 (7)前記基準位相は、前記発電機のロータの目標回転速度に基づいて設定されていることが好ましい。
 (8)前記スラスト力減少抑制手段は、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に入っているか否かを判定するブレード回転領域判定部と、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に入っていない場合に、前記ブレードの回転速度を目標回転速度に制御する目標回転制御部と、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に入っている場合に、海流の流速低下によるスラスト力の減少を抑制するように回転増加させたブレードのスラスト力減少抑制回転速度を設定し、前記ブレードの回転速度を前記スラスト力減少抑制回転速度に制御する回転増加制御部と、を有していることが好ましい。
 (9)前記回転位相制御手段は、前記基準位相と制御対象の前記ブレードの回転位相との位相差を演算する角位相差演算部と、演算された前記位相差から制御対象の前記ブレードの回転位相が前記基準位相と同期した同期状態であるか否かを判定する角位相差判定部と、前記同期状態であると判定されたら前記同期状態を保持する同期保持制御部と、前記同期状態でないと判定されたら前記位相差を低減して前記同期状態になるように制御する位相差低減制御部と、を有していることが好ましい。
 (10)本発明の海中浮遊式海流発電装置の制御方法は、ナセル内に収納された発電機のロータを前記ナセルの外部に突出した回転翼により駆動する海流発電装置本体が構造物の左右に結合されて、海中を浮遊可能な双胴型の浮体として構成され、前記構造物の左右中間部を係留索によって海底に係止されて使用され、前記海流発電装置本体には、前記回転翼を前記ナセルよりも海流方向の下流側に配置したダウンウィンド方式が用いられた海中浮遊式海流発電装置の制御方法であって、前記回転翼のブレードが海流方向の上流側の前記構造物の影の領域に進入した際に、前記影の領域の海流の流速低下に伴うスラスト力の減少によって前記浮体に発生するモーメントを抑制するモーメント抑制処理を実施することを特徴としている。
 (11)前記モーメント抑制処理は、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に進入した際に、前記影の領域の海流の前記スラスト力の減少を抑制することにより実施することが好ましい。
 (12)前記スラスト力の減少抑制は、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に進入した際に、前記影の領域の海流の流速低下に伴って前記回転翼の回転速度を上昇させることにより実施することが好ましい。
 (13)前記モーメント抑制処理は、左右の前記海流発電装置本体の各々の前記回転翼の前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に同期して進入するように前記ブレードの回転位相を制御することにより実施することが好ましい。
 (14)前記回転位相の制御は、左右の前記海流発電装置本体の一方の前記回転翼の前記ブレードの回転位相を基準位相とし前記基準位相に他方の前記回転翼の前記ブレードの回転位相が追従して同期するようにして実施することが好ましい。
 (15)あるいは、前記回転位相の制御は、予め設定された基準位相に基づいて、左右の前記海流発電装置本体の各々の前記回転翼の前記ブレードの回転位相を制御することにより実施することが好ましい。
 (16)前記基準位相は、前記発電機のロータの目標回転速度に基づいて設定されていることが好ましい。
 (17)前記スラスト力の減少抑制は、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に入っているか否かを判定し、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に入っていないと判定されたら、前記ブレードの回転速度を目標回転速度に制御する目標回転制御部と、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に入っている場合に、海流の流速低下によるスラスト力の減少を抑制するように回転増加させたブレードのスラスト力減少抑制回転速度を設定し、前記ブレードの回転速度を前記スラスト力減少抑制回転速度に制御することが好ましい。
 (18)前記回転位相の制御は、前記基準位相と制御対象の前記ブレードの回転位相との位相差を演算し、演算された前記位相差から制御対象の前記ブレードの回転位相が前記基準位相と同期した同期状態であるか否かを判定し、前記同期状態であると判定されたら前記同期状態を保持し、前記同期状態でないと判定されたら前記位相差を低減して前記同期状態になるように制御することが好ましい。
 本発明によれば、モーメント抑制手段が、回転翼のブレードが海流方向の上流側の構造物の影の領域に進入した際の海流の流速低下に伴うスラスト力の減少によって浮体に発生するモーメントを抑制するので、このモーメントに起因した浮体の周期的な振動の発生を抑制することができる。この振動が発生すると浮体の構造体やブレードや係留索等に損傷を及ぼすおそれがあるが、これが回避される。
 かかるモーメントの抑制の具体的な手法として、ブレードが構造物の影の領域に進入した際の海流のスラスト力の減少自体を抑制する手法を適用すれば、左右の回転翼を独立して制御しながら、浮体の周期的な振動の発生を抑制することができる。この場合、例えば、ブレードが構造物の影の領域に進入した際の海流の流速低下に伴ってロータ回転翼の回転速度を上昇させるように操作すれば、流速低下に応じたスラスト力の減少を、ロータ回転翼の回転速度の上昇に応じたスラスト力の増大により相殺することができ、スラスト力の減少自体を確実に抑制することができる。
 また、モーメントの抑制の具体的な手法として、左右の海流発電装置本体の各々の回転翼のブレードが構造物の影の領域に同期して進入するようにブレードの回転位相を制御して、左右のスラスト力の低下を同時に発生させる手法を適用すれば、スラスト力の減少を生じさせたままでもモーメントの発生を抑制でき、浮体の周期的な振動の発生を抑制することができる。この場合、例えば、左右の海流発電装置本体の一方の回転翼のブレードの回転位相を基準位相としこの基準位相に他方の回転翼のブレードの回転位相が追従して同期するようにブレードの位相を制御してもよく、左右の海流発電装置本体の各々の回転翼のブレードの回転位相を予め設定された基準位相に基づいて制御してもよい。また、基準位相を発電機のロータの目標回転速度に基づいて設定すれば、効率よく発電量を得ることが可能になる。

 以下、図面を参照して本発明にかかる実施形態を説明する。なお、以下に示す実施形態はあくまでも例示に過ぎず、以下の実施形態で明示しない種々の変形や技術の適用を排除する意図はない。以下の実施形態の各構成は、それらの趣旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々変形して実施することができるとともに、必要に応じて取捨選択することができ、あるいは適宜組み合わせることが可能である。
 [各実施形態の海中浮遊式海流発電装置の概略構成]
 まず、各実施形態の海中浮遊式海流発電装置の概略構成を説明すると、海中浮遊式海流発電装置の概略は、背景技術において説明したもの(図14参照)と同様である。説明が重複するが、この海中浮遊式海流発電装置は浮体1として構成され、浮体1は、図2に示すように、2つの海流発電装置本体2,2とこれらを接続する構造物3とから一つの浮体1を構成した双胴型を採用している。海流発電装置本体2は、ナセル(ポッドとも呼ぶ)4内に発電機9を装備し、この発電機9のロータに回転翼5の回転軸5Aが接続されている(図1,図9B参照)。
 ナセル4は構造物3の左右両端に結合されている。構造物3の左右方向中央には係留索6の先端が結合され、係留索6の基端は海底7a(この例では、海底7aのアンカーウェイト6A)に係止されている。浮体1は、係留索6に拘束された範囲で水平方向及び鉛直方向に海中を浮遊する。浮体1の浮力は左右でバランスしており、浮体1の構造物3は、図2中に白抜き矢印で示す海流方向に対向するような翼形状に形成されている。これにより、浮体1は、その正面(回転翼5の正面)が海流方向に正対するように海流に応じて方向を変えて海流を正面に受けながら発電を実施する。
 また、各海流発電装置本体2は、回転翼5をナセル4の後方(海流の下流側)に配置したダウンウィンド方式が採用されている。このように回転翼5をナセル4よりも下流側に配置することにより、浮体1の正面(回転翼5の正面)を海流方向に向けやすくなる。海中浮遊式海流発電装置の場合、浮体1の方向制御(海流の方向にロータ回転軸を合わせる制御)を能動的に実施する駆動装置の実装は難しいので、ダウンウィンド方式を採用すると共に、浮体1のナセル4や構造物3の形状を海流の方向に向かうように形成し、浮体1の正面方向が海流方向に受動的に向くように設定されている。
 係留索6に係止された浮体(海中浮遊式海流発電装置)1は海中において浮遊するが、このとき、浮体1は、浮体1に加わる海流の作用力Fwfと、浮体1に生じる浮力Fと、浮体1を係止する係留索6の張力Fとがバランスした位置をとる。つまり、浮体1に対して、浮力Fは鉛直上方に作用し、海流の作用力Fwfは、海流方向(水平方向)に作用し、係留索6の張力Fは浮力F及び海流の作用力Fwfと対向するように作用する。
 したがって、図3に示すように、海流の作用力Fwfが弱ければ(つまり、海流の流速Vwfが低ければ)、浮体1は海中で比較的浅い深度まで上昇し、海流の作用力Fwfが強ければ(つまり、海流の流速Vwf´が高ければ)、浮体1は符号1´で示すように海中7で比較的深い深度まで下降する。また、海流の流速Vwf,Vwf´の深さ方向分布は、海底7a付近では海底7aに接近するほど低速となり海底7aから離隔するほど高速となる。
 このため、海流の流速が強まった場合、浮体1は、図3に実線で示す状態から二点鎖線及び符号1´で示す状態へと海中7で下降して、深さ方向の流速分布で流速が適当に弱まった深度でバランスする。また、図示しないが、図3に実線で示す状態よりも海流の流速が弱まれば、浮体1は実線で示す状態から海中を上昇して、深さ方向の流速分布で流速が適当に強まった深度でバランスする。こうして、浮体1として構成された海中浮遊式海流の水深方向の位置が受動的に自動で調整される制御をPDC(=Passive Depth Control)とも呼ぶ。このPDCにより、回転翼5が受ける海流の流速は過不足ない状態の保持することができ、安定した海流の流速を受けて発電を行なうことができる。
 また、各海流発電装置本体2は、図1,図2,図9Bに示すように、ナセル4の後方(海流の下流側)に回転翼5が配置され、ナセル4の内部に、回転翼5の回転軸(主軸)5Aと、主軸5Aの回転速度を増速する増速機8,108と、増速機8,108により増速された回転力を受けて作動する発電機9とが装備されている。主軸5Aと増速機8,108と発電機9とから、各海流発電装置本体2のドライブトレーン10,110が構成されている。
 ナセル4の外形は、前端及び後端が滑らかな曲面で構成され、中間部が円筒状に形成され、ナセル4の外形の軸心CL1上に主軸5Aの軸心が配置されている。ナセル4の外形は、紡錘形状など、他の形状も採用しうる。また、回転翼5は2枚のブレード5aが180度の位相差で装備された2枚翼が採用されている。回転翼5のブレード5aの数はこの限りでなく、3枚翼など他の枚数のものも適用しうる。さらに、ブレード5aはシンプルでメンテナンスが不要な固定ピッチのものが適用されている。
 前述のように、海中浮遊式海流発電装置の場合、浮体1に双胴型を採用し、回転翼5をナセル4の後方(海流の下流側)に配置したダウンウィンド方式を採用することが好適であるが、この場合、回転翼5のブレード5aが構造物3の影の領域(シャドウモーメント領域)を通過する際には、海流の流速低下に伴ってブレードに加わる海流のスラスト力が減少し、この際のスラスト力の左右のアンバランスに起因して浮体1にモーメント(シャドウモーメント)が生じる。
 各実施形態の海中浮遊式海流発電装置は、何れも回転翼5のブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に進入した際のかかるスラスト力の減少によって浮体1にモーメントが発生するのを抑制する機能(モーメント抑制手段)を有する制御装置20,120を備えている。各実施形態では、モーメント抑制制御に関する具合的な構成が異なっており、以下、各実施形態のモーメント抑制制御に関する構成を説明する。なお、このモーメントはロール,ピッチ,ヨーのいずれの方向のモーメントも含む。
 〔第1実施形態〕
 〔モーメント抑制制御系の構成〕
 本実施形態の制御装置20は、ブレード5aが構造物3の影の領域(シャドウモーメント領域)に進入した際の海流のスラスト力Fthの減少自体を抑制して、浮体1にロールもしくはピッチもしくはヨーモーメントMが発生することを抑制するので、モーメント抑制手段としてのスラスト力減少抑制手段の機能を有する。制御装置20は、海流の流速Uの減少に伴って回転翼5の回転速度を上昇させてスラスト力の減少を抑制するようにしている。
 図4Aはブレード5aが一定の回転数(回転速度)ωで回転している場合に海流から受けるスラスト力Fthと海流の流速Uとの関係を示す特性図であり、ブレード5aが一定の回転数ωで回転している場合には、海流の流速Uが高くなるほど海流から受けるスラスト力Fthは大きくなる。図4Bはブレード5aが一定の流速Uの海流を受けている場合に海流から受けるスラスト力Fthとブレード5aの回転数(回転速度)ωとの関係を示す特性図であり、ブレード5aが一定の流速Uの海流を受けている場合には、ブレード5aの回転数ωが高くなるほど海流から受けるスラスト力Fthは大きくなる。
 この特性に着目すれば、ブレード5aが受ける海流の流速Uが低下することでスラスト力Fthが減少したら、ブレード5aの回転数ωを上昇させてスラスト力Fthを増大させれば、スラスト力Fthの減少を抑制することができる。つまり、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入っている間はブレード5aが受ける海流の流速Uは低下するので、この間だけ、ブレード5aの回転数ωを上昇させれば、シャドウモーメント領域での海流の流速低下によるスラスト力Fthの減少をブレード5aの回転速度上昇によるスラスト力Fthの増大で相殺することができる。
 このようにしてスラスト力Fthの減少を抑制するために、本実施形態の制御装置20は、図1に示すように、ブレード回転領域判定部21と、目標回転制御部22と、回転増加制御部23と、ドライブトレーン制御部24とを、それぞれ機能要素として有している。なお、ここでは、制御装置20は、各海流発電装置本体2に個別に設けられ、各海流発電装置本体2を独立して制御するものとするが、各海流発電装置本体2で制御装置20を共用しながら、各海流発電装置本体2を独立して制御するようにしてもよい。
 ブレード回転領域判定部21は、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入っているか否かを判定する。具体的には、ブレード回転領域判定部21は、海流発電装置本体2に装備されたブレード回転角度センサ33で所定の微小周期で検出されたブレード5aの回転角度(位相角度)θを読み込んで、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に対応する回転角度領域θ~θに入っているか否かを判定する。
 図5に示すように、ブレード5aの回転角度θは図示しない基準角度から回転方向へ変位した角度量であり、シャドウモーメント領域に対応する回転角度領域を規定する角度θ,θ(ただし、θ<θ)も基準角度からの角度量である。ブレード5aの回転角度θが、シャドウモーメント領域への進入角度θとシャドウモーメント領域からの脱出角度θとの間(θ≦θ≦θ)の大きさであるか否かを判定する。
 ブレード5aの回転角度θがシャドウモーメント領域の角度θ~θの範囲内(θ≦θ≦θ)ならばブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入っていると判定し、ブレード5aの回転角度θがシャドウモーメント領域の角度θ~θの範囲外(θ<θ又はθ>θ)ならばブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入っていないと判定する。
 ブレード回転領域判定部21によりブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入っていないと判定されたら、目標回転制御部22によりブレード5a(即ち、回転翼5)の回転速度(以下、ブレード回転数とも言う)を制御し、ブレード回転領域判定部21によりブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入っていると判定されたら回転増加制御部23によりブレード回転数ωを制御する。
 目標回転制御部22は、負荷トルク制御部22aとスラスト力演算部22bとを有している。目標回転制御部22では、負荷トルク制御部22aによって、海流発電装置本体2に装備された回転速度センサ31で検出されたブレード回転数ωが目標回転数(目標回転速度)ωとなるようにドライブトレーン10の負荷トルク目標値TDTを演算し出力する。スラスト力演算部22bでは常にブレード5a(即ち、回転翼5)に作用するスラスト力Fthを把握するために演算する。
 ドライブトレーン10の負荷トルクTとは、発電機9の発電負荷トルクであり、発電機9のインバータを操作することにより負荷トルクTを制御することができる。なお、目標回転数ωは、発電機9が最も効率よく発電しうる回転数として予め設定されている。負荷トルク制御部22aは、ブレード回転数ωが目標回転数ωよりも高ければ負荷トルク目標値TDTを所定量(又は、ωとωとの差分=|ω-ω|に応じた量だけ)増大し、ブレード回転数ωが目標回転数ωよりも低ければ負荷トルク目標値TDTを所定量(又は、ωとωとの差分=|ω-ω|に応じた量だけ)減少することにより、ブレード回転数ωが目標回転数ωとなるように制御する。
 スラスト力演算部22bは、海流発電装置本体2に装備された流速センサ32で検出された浮体1の周りの流速Uと、回転速度センサ31で検出されたブレード回転数ωと、ブレード回転角度センサ33で検出されたブレード回転角度θと、海流発電装置本体2に装備された浮体回転角度センサ34で検出された浮体1の回転角度θとに基づいて、予め記憶されたテーブル,マップ或いは演算式(下式(1)参照)を用いて、スラスト力Fthを演算する。

 流速センサ32は浮体1周り(特に、回転翼5周り)の海流の流速Uを検出する。浮体回転角度センサ34は、図6に示すように、海流の方向に対する浮体1の方向角度(浮体1の中心線CL0の方向角度)を検出する。浮体回転角度センサ34は浮体1に対する海流の方向を検出することで浮体1の方向角度を検出する。なお、これらの流速センサ32及び浮体回転角度センサ34は、浮体1に対する海流方向とその海流の流速とを同時に検知する海流センサを適用してもよい。また、図6に示すように、左右のスラスト力Fthを区別する場合には、左側のスラスト力をFthL、右側のスラスト力をFthRとして区別する。
 回転増加制御部23は、低下流速演算部23aと、回転速度演算部23bと、負荷トルク制御部23cとを有している。回転増加制御部23は、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入っている時に低下する海流の流速U´を演算し、この流速U´におけるスラスト力Fth´が、直近に目標回転制御部22のスラスト力演算部22bで演算されたスラスト力Fthと等しくなるようにするブレード回転数ω´を演算し、回転速度センサ31で検出されたブレード回転数ωが演算したブレード回転数ω´となるようにドライブトレーン10の負荷トルクTを制御する。
 つまり、低下流速演算部23aは、流速センサ32により検出された流速Uにシャドウモーメント係数αを乗算することにより、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入っている時の海流の流速U´を演算する[下式(2)参照]。シャドウモーメント係数αは、構造物3の形状とブレード5aの形状とによって決まる。ここでは、シャドウモーメント領域内では一様なシャドウモーメント係数αを適用するが、シャドウモーメント領域において、領域の境界部分(進入角度θ,脱出角度θの付近)では海流の流速Uの低下が少なく、領域の中央部分(進入角度θと脱出角度θとの中間付近)では海流の流速Uの低下が大きいので、これを考慮して、ブレード回転角度θに応じてシャドウモーメント係数αの値を設定してもよい。

 回転速度演算部23bでは、上記の式(1)に示すように、スラスト力Fthが、海流の流速U´と、ブレード回転数ωと、ブレード回転角度θと、浮体1の回転角度θと、に相関する点に着目し、海流の流速U´として低下流速演算部23aで演算された海流の流速U´を与えた場合のスラスト力Fth´が、直近に目標回転制御部22のスラスト力演算部22bで演算されたスラスト力Fthと等しくなるようにするブレード回転数(スラスト力低下抑制回転数或いはスラスト力低下抑制回転速度)ω´を、テーブルデータ等を用いて演算する[下式(3)参照]。

 シャドウモーメント領域内での海流の流速U´は、シャドウモーメント領域外での海流の流速Uよりも低くスラスト力Fthが低下するので、シャドウモーメント領域内でのブレード回転数ω´は、スラスト力Fthを回復するためシャドウモーメント領域外で目標回転数ωに制御されるブレード回転数ωよりも高くする(図4A,図4B参照)。
 負荷トルク制御部23cでは、海流発電装置本体2に装備された回転速度センサ31で検出されたブレード回転数ωがスラスト力低下抑制回転数ω´となるようにドライブトレーン10の負荷トルク目標値TDTを演算し出力する。例えば、負荷トルク制御部22aは、ブレード回転数ωがスラスト力低下抑制回転数ω´よりも高ければ負荷トルク目標値TDTを所定量(又はωとωとの差分=|ω-ω|に応じた量だけ)増大し、ブレード回転数ωがスラスト力低下抑制回転数ω´よりも低ければ負荷トルク目標値TDTを所定量(又はωとωとの差分=|ω-ω|に応じた量だけ)減少することにより、ブレード回転数ωがスラスト力低下抑制回転数ω´となるように制御する。
 ただし、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入っている時の海流の流速U´は、シャドウモーメント領域の中央部分の値であり、シャドウモーメント領域に進入する際や脱出する際(ブレード5aの回転角度θが進入角度θや脱出角度θに近い場合)には、海流の流速は演算値U´までは下がらない点、及び、制御切り替え時に負荷トルクTの急変を回避する点、を考慮し、負荷トルク制御部23cでは、制御ゲインKにより処理して負荷トルク目標値TDTを求めるようにしている。
 ドライブトレーン制御部24は、負荷トルク制御部22a,23cの何れかで演算された負荷トルク目標値TDTに基づいてドライブトレーン10の負荷トルク(発電負荷トルク)Tを制御する。目標回転制御部22の負荷トルク制御部22aで演算された負荷トルク目標値TDTに基づいて負荷トルクTを制御すれば、発電機9が最も効率よく発電しうる目標回転数ωにブレード回転数ωが制御される。回転増加制御部23の負荷トルク制御部23cで演算された負荷トルク目標値TDTに基づいて負荷トルクTを制御すれば、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入ってもスラスト力Fthが変動しないスラスト力低下抑制回転数ω´にブレード回転数ωが制御される。
 〔作用及び効果〕
 第1実施形態にかかる海中浮遊式海流発電装置は、上述のように構成されているので、制御装置20により、例えば図7のフローチャートに示すように、浮体1にモーメントが発生するのを抑制するモーメント抑制制御を実施することができる。なお、図7のフローチャートは所定の制御周期で実施される。
 図7に示すように、まず、スラスト力Fth,海流の流速U,ブレード回転数ω,ブレード5aの回転角度θ,浮体1の回転角度θを読み込む(ステップA10)。スラスト力Fthについては、直近の制御周期で目標回転制御部22のスラスト力演算部22bで演算され記憶されたものを読み込む。海流の流速U,ブレード回転数ω,ブレード5aの回転角度θ,浮体1の回転角度θについては、流速センサ32,回転速度センサ31,ブレード回転角度センサ33,浮体回転角度センサ34で検出された直近の検出値を読み込む。
 そして、ブレード回転領域判定部21によりブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入っているか否か、即ち、ブレード5aの回転角度θがシャドウモーメント領域の角度範囲θ~θ内(θ≦θ≦θ)であるか否かを判定する(ステップA20)。ここで、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入っていないと判定されたらステップA30へ進み、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入っていると判定されたらステップA50へ進む。
 ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域外(θ<θ又はθ>θ)ならば、目標回転制御部22がドライブトレーン10の負荷トルクTを制御し、スラスト力Fthを演算する。すなわち、負荷トルク制御部22aで、ブレード回転数ωが目標回転数ωとなるようにドライブトレーン10の負荷トルク目標値TDTを演算し出力し、ドライブトレーン制御部24で、演算された負荷トルク目標値TDTに基づいてドライブトレーン10の負荷トルクを制御する(ステップA30)。
 そして、スラスト力演算部22bで、前記式(1)により、海流の流速Uと、ブレード回転数ωと、ブレード5aの回転角度θと、浮体1の回転角度θとに基づいて、ブレード5aに作用するスラスト力Fthを演算する(ステップA40)。この演算したスラスト力Fthは制御装置20のメモリに記憶され、次回以降の制御周期で適宜利用される。
 一方、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域内(θ≦θ≦θ)ならば、回転増加制御部23がドライブトレーン10の負荷トルクTを制御する。つまり、低下流速演算部23aが、流速Uにシャドウモーメント係数αを乗算することにより、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入っている時の海流の流速U´を演算する(上記式(2))(ステップA50)。回転速度演算部23bでは、上記の式(1)に、海流の流速Uとして演算した流速U´を与えた場合のスラスト力Fth´が、直近に目標回転制御部22のスラスト力演算部22bで演算されたスラスト力Fthと等しくなるようにするブレード回転数ω´を演算する(上記の式(3)参照)(ステップA60)。
 そして、負荷トルク制御部23cが、ブレード回転数ωがスラスト力低下抑制回転数ω´となるようにドライブトレーン10の負荷トルク目標値TDTを演算する。ただし、シャドウモーメント領域に進入する際や脱出する際(ブレード5aの回転角度θが進入角度θや脱出角度θに近い場合)には、海流の流速は演算値U´までは下がらない点、及び、制御切り替え時に負荷トルクTの急変を回避する点、を考慮し、制御ゲインKにより処理して負荷トルク目標値TDTを求める。
 つまり、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入ると、ブレード回転数ωは目標回転数ω0からスラスト力低下抑制回転数ω´へと上昇させる。このため、負荷トルク目標値TDTはステップA30で演算し設定した値から低減させることになる。この低減をランプ状に行なうように制御ゲインKにより処理して負荷トルク目標値TDTを求めている。なお、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域から脱出する際には、ブレード回転数ωはスラスト力低下抑制回転数ω´から目標回転数ωへと減少させるため、負荷トルク目標値TDTは増大させるが、この増大もランプ状に行なうように制御ゲインKにより処理して負荷トルク目標値TDTを求めている。
 これにより、図8Aに実線で示すように、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域に入るとブレード5aの回転数ωが徐々に上昇してスラスト力低下抑制回転数ω´に達して、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域から脱出する際にはブレード5aの回転数ωが徐々に下降して目標回転数ωに戻る。本制御を実施しない場合には、図8Aに破線で示すように、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域内にあるかないかに限らず、ブレード5aの回転数ωは目標回転数ωに保持される。
 ドライブトレーン制御部24では、こうして演算された負荷トルク目標値TDTに基づいてドライブトレーン10の負荷トルクを制御する(ステップA70)。
 これにより、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域内(θ≦θ≦θ)にある場合にブレード5a(回転翼5)に作用するスラスト力Fth´が、ブレード5aがシャドウモーメント領域外(θ<θ又はθ>θ)にある場合のスラスト力Fthと等しくなり、図8Bに実線で示すようにスラスト力Fthの減少自体を抑制することができる。本制御を実施しない場合には、図8Bに破線で示すようにスラスト力Fthは減少する。
 このようにして、シャドウモーメント領域での海流の流速低下によるスラスト力Fthの減少を相殺するようにブレード5aの回転速度上昇によるスラスト力Fthの増大を行ないスラスト力Fthの減少自体を抑制するので、スラスト力Fthの減少に起因して浮体1にモーメントMが発生することを抑制することができ、このモーメントに起因した浮体の方向への周期的な振動の発生を抑制することができる。この振動が発生すると浮体1の構造体13やブレード5aや係留索6等に損傷を及ぼすおそれがあるが、これが回避される。
 〔第2実施形態〕
 〔モーメント抑制制御系の構成〕
 本実施形態では、左右の海流発電装置本体2の各々の回転翼5のブレード5aが構造物3の影のシャドウモーメント領域に同期して進入するようにブレード5aの回転位相を制御して、左右のスラスト力FthL,FthR(図6参照)の低下を同時に発生させることにより、モーメントの発生を抑制するので、モーメント抑制手段としての回転位相制御手段の機能を有する。特に、本実施形態では、図9Aに示すように、左右の海流発電装置本体2の一方をマスタ機とし他方をスレイブ機として、マスタ機の回転翼5のブレード5aの回転位相を基準位相としてこの基準位相にスレイブ機の回転翼5のブレード5aの回転位相が追従して同期するようにスレイブ機のブレード5aを制御する。
 このため、本実施形態の制御装置120は、図9Bに示すように、角位相差演算部121と、角位相差判定部122と、同期保持制御部123と、位相差低減制御部124と、ドライブトレーン制御部125とを機能要素として有している。なお、ここでは、制御装置120をマスタ機の側に設け、マスタ機側からマスタ信号(制御量)を出力し、スレイブ機側で位相応答するものとしているが、マスタ機側のブレード5aの回転位相を主体としスレイブ機側のブレード5aの回転位相をこれに追従させればよく、制御装置120自体はスレイブ機の側に設けてもよい。
 角位相差演算部121は、マスタ機及びスレイブ機の海流発電装置本体2にそれぞれ装備されたブレード回転角度センサ33a,33bで検出されたマスタ機のブレード回転角度θ及びスレイブ機のブレード回転角度θの差(位相差)δθを下式(4)のように演算する。

 角位相差判定部122は、マスタ機のブレード回転角度θとスレイブ機のブレード回転角度θsとの位相差δθからマスタ機のブレード5aとスレイブ機のブレード5aとが同期状態であるか否かを判定する。つまり、位相差δθが0又は0に近い微小値である許容値δθ以内である(δθ≦δθ)か否かを判定し、位相差δθが許容値δθ以内ならば同期状態(位相差なし)であると判定し、そうでなければ非同期状態(位相差あり)であると判定する。
 角位相差判定部122により、マスタ機のブレード回転角度θとスレイブ機のブレード回転角度θが同期状態である判定されたら、同期保持制御部123によりスレイブ機のブレード5aをマスタ機のブレード5aと同期状態に保持する同期保持制御を行なう。位相差判定部122により、マスタ機のブレード回転角度θとスレイブ機のブレード回転角度θが非同期状態である判定されたら、位相差低減制御部124によりスレイブ機のブレード回転角度θをマスタ機のブレード5aに近づけて同期させる位相差低減制御を行なう。
 同期保持制御部123は、負荷トルク制御部123aを有している。同期保持制御部123では、負荷トルク制御部123aによって、マスタ機及びスレイブ機の海流発電装置本体2にそれぞれ装備された回転速度センサ31a,31bで検出されたマスタ機のブレード回転数ω及びスレイブ機のブレード回転数ωに基づいて、スレイブ機のブレード回転数ωがマスタ機のブレード回転数ωと等しくなるようにスレイブ機のドライブトレーン110の負荷トルク目標値TDT1を演算し出力する。
 この場合、位相差δθが許容値δθ以内ではあるが微小量だけ生じたら、位相差δθを0に近づける(スレイブ機のブレード回転数ωがマスタ機のブレード回転数ωと等しくなる)ように、負荷トルク目標値TDT1を増減するが、負荷トルク目標値TDT1が緩やかにランプ状に変更されるように、負荷トルク制御部123aでは、制御ゲインKにより処理して負荷トルク目標値TDT1を求めるようにしている。
 位相差低減制御部124は、スレイブ回転数演算部124aと、負荷トルク制御部124bとを有している。
 スレイブ回転数演算部124aは、位相差δθを0にするためのスレイブ機のブレード回転数の目標値ω´を演算する。この場合も、スレイブ機のブレード回転数ωが緩やかにランプ状に変更されるように、スレイブ回転数演算部124aでは、制御ゲインKにより処理してブレード回転数の目標値ω´を求めるようにしている。
 負荷トルク制御部124bでは、回転速度センサ31aで検出されたマスタ機のブレード回転数ω及びスレイブ回転数演算部124aで演算されたスレイブ機のブレード回転数の目標値ω´に基づいて、スレイブ機のブレード回転数ωがスレイブ機のブレード回転数の目標値ω´と等しくなるようにスレイブ機のドライブトレーン110の負荷トルク目標値TDT2を演算し出力する。この場合も、負荷トルク目標値TDT2が緩やかにランプ状に変更されるように、負荷トルク制御部123aでは、制御ゲインKにより処理して負荷トルク目標値TDT2を求めるようにしている。
 ドライブトレーン制御部125は、同期保持制御部123の負荷トルク制御部123aで演算された負荷トルク目標値TDT1又は位相差低減制御部124の負荷トルク制御部124bの何れかで演算された負荷トルク目標値TDT2に基づいてドライブトレーン110の負荷トルク(発電負荷トルク)Tを制御する。
 本実施形態では、ドライブトレーン110が、回転翼5の回転軸(主軸)5Aと、主軸5Aの回転速度を増速する増速機108と、増速機108により増速された回転力を受けて作動する発電機9とを備えているが、増速機108に油圧式動力伝達機構が適用されており、油圧式動力伝達機構の要素を操作することにより、増速機108による変速比を変更できるようになっている。
 図10は増速機としても機能する油圧式動力伝達機構108を示す油圧回路図であり、油圧回路111は、油路112内に回転翼5の回転軸5Aにより駆動される油圧ポンプ113と、油圧ポンプ113から吐出された作動油を受けて回転する油圧モータ114と、油路112における油圧ポンプ113から油圧モータ114に向かう部分に介装された開閉弁115と、油路112の油圧ポンプ113から油圧モータ114に向かう部分に装備された圧力センサ116とをそなえている。
 油圧モータ114は、斜板角を調整することにより入力油圧が変わらなくても回転速度を変更可能な斜板式油圧モータが適用され、回転速度センサ36により検出された油圧モータ114の回転軸5Bの回転速度(回転数)をフィードバックして斜板角調整部42により斜板角を調整することにより油圧モータ114を所望の回転速度状態に調整することができる。この油圧モータ114の回転軸5Bは発電機9に接続されている。
 また、油圧モータ114の斜板角を調整することにより、油圧モータ114の負荷トルクを調整することができ、油圧モータ114の負荷トルクは圧力センサ116で検出される作動油の圧力によって把握することができる。つまり、油圧モータ114の斜板角の調整によって、ドライブトレーン110の負荷トルクを調整することができ、負荷トルク目標値TDT1,TDT2に応じて油圧モータ14の斜板角が調整され、ドライブトレーン110の負荷トルク(発電負荷トルク)Tが制御される。
 なお、図10に示す構成では、回転翼5の回転軸5Aに、調速機35とメカブレーキ41とが装備され、調速機35によって回転翼5の回転速度が安定化され、メカブレーキ41によって回転翼5の回転を規制できるようになっている。
 〔作用及び効果〕
 第2実施形態にかかる海中浮遊式海流発電装置は、上述のように構成されているので、制御装置120により、例えば図11のフローチャートに示すように、浮体1にモーメントが発生するのを抑制するモーメント抑制制御を実施することができる。なお、図11のフローチャートは所定の制御周期で実施される。
 図11に示すように、まず、ブレード回転角度センサ33a,33bで検出されたマスタ機のブレード回転角度θ及びスレイブ機のブレード回転角度θを読み込む(ステップB10)。そして、角位相差演算部121により、マスタ機のブレード回転角度θ及びスレイブ機のブレード回転角度θの差(位相差)δθを演算する[前記の式(4)参照](ステップB20)。
 次に、角位相差判定部122により、ステップB20の演算された位相差δθを予め設定された許容値δθと比較してマスタ機のブレード5aとスレイブ機のブレード5aとが同期状態である(|δθ|≦δθ)か否(非同期状態である)かを判定する(ステップB30)。ステップB30で、同期状態であると判定されたら同期保持制御部123により同期保持制御を行ない(ステップB40)、非同期状態である判定されたら位相差低減制御部124により位相差低減制御を行なう(ステップB50,B60)。
 ステップB40の同期保持制御では、スレイブ機のブレード回転数ωがマスタ機のブレード回転数ωと等しくなるようにスレイブ機のドライブトレーン110の負荷トルク目標値TDT1を演算し出力する。この場合、制御ゲインKにより処理して負荷トルク目標値TDT1を求めて、負荷トルク目標値TDT2が緩やかにランプ状に変更されるようにする。そして、ドライブトレーン制御部125が、この負荷トルク目標値TDT2に基づいてドライブトレーン110の負荷トルク(発電負荷トルク)Tを制御する。
 ステップB50,B60の位相差低減制御では、まず、スレイブ回転数演算部124aにより、位相差δθを0にするためのスレイブ機のブレード回転数の目標値ω´を演算する。この場合も、スレイブ機のブレード回転数ωが緩やかにランプ状に変更されるように、スレイブ回転数演算部124aでは、制御ゲインKにより処理してブレード回転数の目標値ω´を求める(ステップB50)。
 次に、負荷トルク制御部124bにより、検出されたマスタ機のブレード回転数ω及び演算されたスレイブ機のブレード回転数の目標値ω´に基づいて、スレイブ機のブレード回転数ωがスレイブ機のブレード回転数の目標値ω´と等しくなるようにスレイブ機のドライブトレーン110の負荷トルク目標値TDT2を演算し出力する。この場合も、負荷トルク目標値TDT2が緩やかにランプ状に変更されるように、負荷トルク制御部123aでは、制御ゲインKにより処理して負荷トルク目標値TDT2を求める。そして、ドライブトレーン制御部125が、この負荷トルク目標値TDT2に基づいてドライブトレーン110の負荷トルク(発電負荷トルク)Tを制御する(ステップB60)。
 図12は、位相差低減制御及び同期保持制御を説明するためのブレード回転角度(ブレード角度)θの変遷を示すタイムチャートであり、実線はマスタ機のブレード回転角度θを示し、破線はスレイブ機のブレード回転角度θを示す。図11に示すように、角位相差判定部122により非同期状態である判定されたら、位相差低減制御によってスレイブ機のブレード回転角度θがマスタ機のブレード回転角度θに次第に接近して位相差が解消され、その後は、同期保持制御を位相差のない状態(同期状態)が保持される。
 このようにして、スレイブ機のブレード回転角度θがマスタ機のブレード回転角度θに同期するように制御されるので、ブレード5aが構造物の影のシャドウモーメント領域に進入し。海流の流速低下からスラスト力の減少が生じても、左右の海流発電装置本体2でスラスト力FthL,FthRの低下が同時に発生するため、スラスト力の減少が生じてもモーメントの発生を抑制でき、浮体1の方向への周期的な振動の発生を抑制することができる。この振動が発生すると浮体1の構造体13やブレード5aや係留索6等に損傷を及ぼすおそれがあるが、これが回避される。
 〔第3実施形態〕
 〔モーメント抑制制御系の構成〕
 本実施形態では、第2実施形態と同様に、左右の海流発電装置本体2の各々の回転翼5のブレード5aが構造物3の影のシャドウモーメント領域に同期して進入するようにブレード5aの回転位相を制御して、左右のスラスト力の低下を同時に発生させることにより、モーメントの発生を抑制するので、モーメント抑制手段としての回転位相制御手段の機能を有する。本実施形態では、図13に示すように、海流発電装置本体2を何れもスレイブ機として、マスタ信号(制御量)は別途設けたマスタ機200から出力され、左右の海流発電装置本体2のブレード5aを制御する。スレイブ機(左右の海流発電装置本体2)ではブレード5aの回転角度の位相調整でこれ応答するようになっている。
 マスタ機200には、左右の海流発電装置本体2をそれぞれ制御するために、第2実施形態のもの[図9B参照]と同様の制御装置120が装備されている。制御装置120は、角位相差演算部121と、角位相差判定部122と、同期保持制御部123と、位相差低減制御部124と、ドライブトレーン制御部125とを、各海流発電装置本体2毎に、機能要素として有している。なお、制御装置120自体は、マスタ機200に限らずスレイブ機の流発電装置本体2に設けてもよい。
 マスタ機200には、スレイブ機の各流発電装置本体2のブレード5a(回転翼5)の回転位相や回転速度(回転数)を操作する基準となる基準位相が記憶されている。この基準位相は、ブレード5aの回転角度(位相)の目標値を時間軸に応じて規定したもので、特に、基準位相は、発電機9のロータの目標回転速度に基づいて設定されている。発電機9のロータの目標回転速度は、効率よく発電量が得られる理想的な発電状態から求められる。
 〔作用及び効果〕
 第3実施形態にかかる海中浮遊式海流発電装置は、上述のように構成されているので、スレイブ機である各流発電装置本体2のブレード5aの回転が、第2実施形態のスレイブ機と同様に制御されて、第2実施形態のものと同様の作用及び効果を得ることができる。なお、各流発電装置本体2のブレード5aの制御は、図11のフローチャートに示すように実施することができる。
 本実施形態の場合、スラスト力の減少が生じてもモーメントの発生を抑制でき、浮体1の方向への周期的な振動の発生を抑制することができ、振動発生による浮体1の構造体13やブレード5aや係留索6等に損傷を及ぼすおそれ回避されるうえに、各流発電装置本体2のブレード5aの回転を制御するための基準位相が、発電機9のロータの目標回転速度に基づいて設定されるので、発電機9を理想的な発電状態として効率よく発電量が得られるようにすることができる効果もある。
 〔その他〕
 以上、本発明の実施形態を説明したが、本発明は、その趣旨を逸脱しない範囲で、かかる実施形態を適宜変更したり、組み合わせたりして実施することができる。
 例えば、第2実施形態ではマスタ機の回転翼5のブレード5aの回転位相を基準位相としているが、この基準位相についても第3実施形態と同様に、発電機9のロータの目標回転速度(効率よく発電量が得られる理想的な発電状態から求められる)に基づいて設定してもよい。
 また、第1実施形態においては、ドライブトレーンの負荷トルクTを制御してブレード5aの回転速度を制御してスラスト力の減少抑制をしているが、メンテナンス性等を考慮する必要がなければ、ブレード5aを可変ピッチ型に構成し、ピッチの変更でブレード5aの回転速度を制御してスラスト力の減少抑制をしてもよい。
 さらに、第1実施形態においては、油圧式動力伝達機構108の油圧モータ114の斜版制御によりドライブトレーンの負荷トルクTを制御しているが、油圧モータには、斜版制御以外の負荷調整可能なものを適用してもよく、また、油圧式動力伝達機構によらず、第1実施形態と同様に、発電機の発電負荷トルクを通じてドライブトレーンの負荷トルクTを制御してもよい。

Claims (18)

  1.  ナセル内に収納された発電機のロータを前記ナセルの外部に突出した回転翼により駆動する海流発電装置本体が構造物の左右に結合されて、海中を浮遊可能な双胴型の浮体として構成され、前記構造物の左右中間部を係留索によって海底に係止されて使用される海中浮遊式海流発電装置であって、
     前記海流発電装置本体には、前記回転翼を前記ナセルよりも海流方向の下流側に配置したダウンウィンド方式が用いられ、
     前記回転翼のブレードが海流方向の上流側の前記構造物の影の領域に進入した際の海流の流速低下に伴うスラスト力の減少によって前記浮体に発生するモーメントを抑制するモーメント抑制手段を備えている
    ことを特徴とする海中浮遊式海流発電装置。
  2.  前記モーメント抑制手段は、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に進入した際の海流の前記スラスト力の減少を抑制するスラスト力減少抑制手段である
    ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置。
  3.  前記スラスト力減少抑制手段は、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に進入した際の海流の流速低下に伴って前記回転翼の回転速度を上昇させてスラスト力の減少を抑制する
    ことを特徴とする請求項2記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置。
  4.  前記モーメント抑制手段は、左右の前記海流発電装置本体の各々の前記回転翼の前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に同期して進入するように前記ブレードの回転位相を制御する回転位相制御手段である
    ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置。
  5.  前記回転位相制御手段は、左右の前記海流発電装置本体の一方の前記回転翼の前記ブレードの回転位相を基準位相とし前記基準位相に他方の前記回転翼の前記ブレードの回転位相が追従して同期するように前記ブレードの回転位相を制御する
    ことを特徴とする請求項4記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置。
  6.  前記回転位相制御手段は、予め設定された基準位相に基づいて、左右の前記海流発電装置本体の各々の前記回転翼の前記ブレードの回転位相を制御する
    ことを特徴とする請求項4記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置。
  7.  前記基準位相は、前記発電機のロータの目標回転速度に基づいて設定されている
    ことを特徴とする請求項5又は6記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置。
  8.  前記スラスト力減少抑制手段は、
     前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に入っているか否かを判定するブレード回転領域判定部と、
     前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に入っていない場合に、前記ブレードの回転速度を目標回転速度に制御する目標回転制御部と、
     前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に入っている場合に、海流の流速低下によるスラスト力の減少を抑制するように回転増加させたブレードのスラスト力減少抑制回転速度を設定し、前記ブレードの回転速度を前記スラスト力減少抑制回転速度に制御する回転増加制御部と、を有している
    ことを特徴とする請求項3記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置。
  9.  前記回転位相制御手段は、
     前記基準位相と制御対象の前記ブレードの回転位相との位相差を演算する角位相差演算部と、
     演算された前記位相差から制御対象の前記ブレードの回転位相が前記基準位相と同期した同期状態であるか否かを判定する角位相差判定部と、
     前記同期状態であると判定されたら前記同期状態を保持する同期保持制御部と、
     前記同期状態でないと判定されたら前記位相差を低減して前記同期状態になるように制御する位相差低減制御部と、を有している
    ことを特徴とする請求項7記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置。
  10.  ナセル内に収納された発電機のロータを前記ナセルの外部に突出した回転翼により駆動する海流発電装置本体が構造物の左右に結合されて、海中を浮遊可能な双胴型の浮体として構成され、前記構造物の左右中間部を係留索によって海底に係止されて使用され、前記海流発電装置本体には、前記回転翼を前記ナセルよりも海流方向の下流側に配置したダウンウィンド方式が用いられた海中浮遊式海流発電装置の制御方法であって、
     前記回転翼のブレードが海流方向の上流側の前記構造物の影の領域に進入した際に、前記影の領域の海流の流速低下に伴うスラスト力の減少によって前記浮体に発生するモーメントを抑制するモーメント抑制処理を実施する
    ことを特徴とする海中浮遊式海流発電装置の制御方法。
  11.  前記モーメント抑制処理は、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に進入した際に、前記影の領域の海流の前記スラスト力の減少を抑制することにより実施する
    ことを特徴とする請求項10記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置の制御方法。
  12.  前記スラスト力の減少抑制は、前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に進入した際に、前記影の領域の海流の流速低下に伴って前記回転翼の回転速度を上昇させることにより実施する
    ことを特徴とする請求項11記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置の制御方法。
  13.  前記モーメント抑制処理は、左右の前記海流発電装置本体の各々の前記回転翼の前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に同期して進入するように前記ブレードの回転位相を制御することにより実施する
    ことを特徴とする請求項10記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置の制御方法。
  14.  前記回転位相の制御は、左右の前記海流発電装置本体の一方の前記回転翼の前記ブレードの回転位相を基準位相とし前記基準位相に他方の前記回転翼の前記ブレードの回転位相が追従して同期するようにして実施する
    ことを特徴とする請求項13記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置の制御方法。
  15.  前記回転位相の制御は、予め設定された基準位相に基づいて、左右の前記海流発電装置本体の各々の前記回転翼の前記ブレードの回転位相を制御することにより実施する
    ことを特徴とする請求項13記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置の制御方法。
  16.  前記基準位相は、前記発電機のロータの目標回転速度に基づいて設定されている
    ことを特徴とする請求項14又は15記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置の制御方法。
  17.  前記スラスト力の減少抑制は、
     前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に入っているか否かを判定し、
     前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に入っていないと判定されたら、前記ブレードの回転速度を目標回転速度に制御する目標回転制御部と、
     前記ブレードが前記構造物の影の領域に入っている場合に、海流の流速低下によるスラスト力の減少を抑制するように回転増加させたブレードのスラスト力減少抑制回転速度を設定し、前記ブレードの回転速度を前記スラスト力減少抑制回転速度に制御する
    ことを特徴とする請求項12記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置の制御方法。
  18.  前記回転位相の制御は、
     前記基準位相と制御対象の前記ブレードの回転位相との位相差を演算し、
     演算された前記位相差から制御対象の前記ブレードの回転位相が前記基準位相と同期した同期状態であるか否かを判定し、
     前記同期状態であると判定されたら前記同期状態を保持し、
     前記同期状態でないと判定されたら前記位相差を低減して前記同期状態になるように制御する
    ことを特徴とする請求項16記載の海中浮遊式海流発電装置の制御方法。
