Abstract
An automatic rim capture system comprising a rim tray (1), a rim tray catch mechanism, a position sensing apparatus (7), a transmission mechanism. One side of the rim tray (1) forms an accommodation space for positioning and accommodating a rim and a protruding ring (2). The other side of the rim tray (1) forms a recessing step structure, the protruding ring (2) on one side of the rim tray (1) being able to sleeve perfectly the recessing step structure of a neighboring rim tray (1) for stacking. The rim tray catch mechanism comprises a positioning disc (3), a rim clip (4), a tray clip (5), a first drive mechanism, and a second drive mechanism. The rim clip (4) and the tray clip (5) are separately arranged on the positioning disc (3) on the side facing the rim, the rim clip (4) being able to catch or release the rim, the tray clip (5) being able to catch or release the tray; the first drive apparatus and the second drive mechanism drive the rim clip (4) and tray clip (5) to act respectively. The position sensing apparatus (7) senses the rim on top of a stack and transmits a signal to a controller so as to control a transmission mechanism to move the rim capture mechanism to the capture position corresponding to the rim tray (1) on top of the stack, and controls the first drive apparatus and the second drive apparatus to act. The present invention enables automatic rim installation, conserves manual labor, enhances production efficiency, and lowers production cost.
