Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an improved synergistic composition based on glyphosate and amino acids for the control and / or elimination of weeds in agricultural crops, where the amino acids in the composition permeabilize the cell membrane favoring the systemic action of glyphosate thus increasing its effectiveness and increasing the reaction rate.
  • Weeds are plants often described as harmful to crop production systems and also to industrial and commercial processes, since they affect the productive potential of the occupied area or the volume of water handled by man. This damage can be measured as loss of agricultural yield per unit of arable area or also by assessing the impact of the productivity of a commercial enterprise.
  • Weeds serve as a refuge for phytophagous insects and phytopathogenic nematodes that spend part of their biological cycle inside or outside cultivated fields, thus facilitating the invasion of the crop and generating considerable damage.
  • the presence of weeds contributes to the spread of fungal diseases.
  • the herbicides in the market are numerous and are classified by their mechanisms of action in 24 groups. However, prolonged use of the same herbicide can cause resistance problems in weeds.
  • Glyphosate whose consumption worldwide is very high as it is applied to numerous crops both in pre-sowing or pre-transplant and later in targeted applications. Its use in soil conservation systems and more recently, in genetically modified crops that support your application, has also increased its use. Given its great use, resistance has been observed in many cases. There are already 12 species of weeds that have resistance to glyphosate. This has proved surprising because of the fact that the resistors have appeared after a long time of use, exceeding 20 years and the use of large quantities of product. Currently there are not only glyphosate resistance but they increase both in number of species and in the number of locations worldwide.
