Abstract

시뮬레이션 장치는, 하나 이상의 센서를 이용하여 대상체의 움직임 정보를 획득하도록 구성된 센서부; 상기 움직임 정보를 이용하여 상기 대상체의 방향 정보를 산출하도록 구성된 방향 산출부; 및 상기 방향 산출부로부터 수신한 상기 방향 정보에 기초하여 물리적 객체를 시뮬레이션하고 이미지로 렌더링(rendering)하도록 구성된 시뮬레이션부를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 방향 산출부는, 상기 움직임 정보의 획득 시점과 렌더링 시점 사이의 시간차를 이용하여 상기 방향 정보를 수정하도록 구성된 시간지연 보정부를 포함할 수 있다. 센서의 측정 주기와 이미지의 렌더링 주기 사이의 시간지연 및/또는 이미지의 렌더링으로부터 이미지가 실제 화면에 표시되기까지의 시간지연을 고려하여 예측된 방향 정보를 이용하여 시뮬레이션을 수행함으로써, 대상체의 움직임과 이미지 사이의 레이턴시(latency)를 낮추고 자연스러운 시뮬레이션 결과를 얻을 수 있다.
