Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de fonctionnement d'un service de suivi de localisation sur la base d'une balise Wi-Fi et au moyen d'un système informatique comprenant un ordinateur serveur connecté, par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau, à au moins un élément parmi un générateur de signal de balise Wi-Fi, un terminal de gardien, un terminal d'observateur et un terminal d'opérateur. Ce procédé consiste : à recevoir un signal de demande d'intervention transmis par le terminal de gardien de manière à transmettre un signal d'activation pour activer une application de surveillance installée sur le terminal d'observateur dans une zone de recherche prédite lorsqu'un protégé s'écarte d'une zone de protection de sorte qu'il n'y a pas de signal de balise Wi-Fi reçu en provenance du générateur de signal de balise Wi-Fi ou qu'un signal de balise Wi-Fi devient faible ; à recevoir un signal de localisation du terminal d'observateur ou un signal de localisation du générateur de signal de balise Wi-Fi en provenance du terminal d'observateur lorsqu'un signal de balise Wi-Fi du générateur de signal de balise Wi-Fi est détecté dans la zone de surveillance du terminal d'observateur par l'application de surveillance activée dudit terminal d'observateur, et à transmettre un signal de découverte de personne disparue au terminal de gardien.
