Abstract

The invention relates to an interchangeable button of the type to be sewn to fabric or an item of clothing using thread. The button comprises a base piece (1) including at least one hole through which the thread passes, and a complementary piece (2) that is joined to the base piece (1). In addition, at least the base piece (1) or the complementary piece (2) includes a fastener (3) for enabling the base piece (1) and the complementary piece (2) to be joined. By selecting either the base piece (1) and/or the complementary piece (2), the button adapts to the taste or the needs of the user in each case.

Description

INTERCHANGEABLE BUTTON

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The present invention is framed in the technical field of fashion accessories and more specifically presents a button that is customizable to adapt to the needs or tastes of the user in each case.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Buttons are essential elements used in the fashion industry for centuries. The buttons are elements that allow you to fasten or adjust the clothes to the user's body. These elements allow the garment to close when it is inserted into a buttonhole of a size corresponding to yours located at one end of the clothing opposite to the end on which the button itself is.

Different types of buttons are known from the state of the art, among which those that comprise a solid body with a protruding hole in its back face through which they are sewn to the garment, and those that comprise a body with minus two through holes through which the thread is passed to sew them to the clothes.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention proposes an interchangeable button comprising at least one body adaptable to the tastes or needs of the user in each case.

Fashion consumers are increasingly demanding with the products offered and increasingly seek exclusivity and differentiation. Every individual combines the elements of fashion in a way appropriate to his personality to obtain his own identity.

The proposed button is intended to be sewn to the fabric on which the user wants to place it, either aesthetically or to be able to close a piece of clothing or keep part of a fabric in a specific place, fastened with said button.

The essential difference with respect to the known buttons of the prior art is that it comprises a base piece, which is intended to be sewn to the fabric and also a complement piece, which is intended to be attached to the base piece and which is interchangeable .

At least one of the two pieces comprises a clamping element to ensure the union between them when the button is being used. Said fastener can be for example a thread, a recess, a projection, a magnet, etc. In addition, the base piece or the complement piece may have a recess in which the other piece can be fitted to further secure the fixation.

Therefore, the proposed button allows the user to change the aesthetic appearance of the button comfortably and quickly. It is simply necessary to remove the complement piece and replace it with a complement piece of different appearance. The button can also comprise raised projections to facilitate the separation of the base piece and the complement piece. The user can hold the base piece by said projections to fix it in a position while rotating or separating the complement part in the corresponding way. Preferably, the projections are arranged on the face of the base piece that is oriented towards the garment so that they are not visible.

Likewise, the base piece of the button may comprise perimeter extensions on which the complement piece can be supported when place on the base piece. In addition, these lateral extensions also allow the user to hold the base piece during the operation of separating the complement piece. Another advantage of the proposed button over the prior art buttons is that a button of the desired size can be used, regardless of whether the button has to enter a buttonhole of a certain size. For this, the base piece of the button is of a size appropriate to the size of the buttonhole in which it has to be fixed and the complement piece is the size desired by the designer or the user. The base piece is passed through the corresponding buttonhole and subsequently the complement piece is attached to the base piece. In this way the button can be made as large as desired and therefore the button can have any dimension regardless of the size of the buttonhole into which it is to be inserted.

To complement the description that is being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred example of practical implementation thereof, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description. where, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented:

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION Next, examples of embodiments of the invention are described with the aid of Figures 1 to 6.

The proposed interchangeable button is of the type intended to be sewn by a thread (not shown) to a piece of clothing or to a fabric. Figure 1 shows a perspective view of the described button.

The most important advantage provided by the button of the present invention over those known in the state of the art is the possibility that it offers the user to change it and adapt it to their needs and tastes in a simple, convenient and fast way.

The button comprises:

- a base piece (1) comprising at least one hole through which the thread passes; Y

- a complement piece (2) attached to the base piece (1); where at least the base part (1) or the complement part (2) comprises a fastener (3) designed to allow the connection between the base part (1) and the complement part (2). Thus, the base piece (1) is the piece that is intended to be sewn to the fabric and on which the user can subsequently place the complement piece (2) that he wants at any time.

Said base piece (1) can comprise a single hole for the passage of the thread, in which case it comprises a protuberance, arranged on the face that faces the fabric and the hole is located in said protuberance.

In another embodiment, the base piece (1) may comprise more than one hole for the passage of the wire. Generally in these cases it will have two or four holes. Said holes may be arranged on the face of the base piece (1) facing the fabric.

Figure 2 shows an exploded view of the interchangeable button in which the base part (1) is observed on one side and the complement part (2) on the other hand.

In an exemplary embodiment of the invention the base part (1) comprises at least one recess (4) in the perimeter of which the fastener (3) is arranged and which is intended to receive the complement part (2). This embodiment is as shown for example in Figure 2.

In cases where the clamping element (3) is arranged in a recess in the base piece (1), said clamping element (3) can be a threaded and in that case the complement piece (2) comprises about Its contour is a threaded complementary to the clamping element (3). In another example the clamping element (3) is a perimeter recess and the complement part (2) comprises around its perimeter a perimeter projection intended to fit the fastener (3). Likewise, the clamping element (3) can be a perimeter projection in which case the complement piece (2) comprises around its contour a perimeter recess intended to receive the clamping element (3).

In another exemplary embodiment, such as that shown for example in Figure 3, the base part (1) comprises a recess in the perimeter of which the fastener (3) is arranged and which is intended to receive the complement part (2 ). In this embodiment the complement part (2) is larger than the base part (1) and completely covers it so that the user only sees said complement part (2).

In this exemplary embodiment, the fastener (3) can be a thread and in that case the base part (1) comprises around its contour a thread that is complementary to that of the fastener (3). Likewise, the clamping element (3) could be a perimeter recess and the base piece (1) comprises around its perimeter a perimeter projection intended to fit in the clamping element (3). Another possibility in this embodiment is that the clamping element (3) is a perimeter projection and the base part (1) in this case comprises around its contour a perimeter recess intended to receive the clamping element (3).

Likewise, the connection between the base piece (1) and the complement piece (2) can be carried out by means of magnets, that is, the fastening element (3) can be magnets. In this embodiment the magnets are arranged in both pieces (1, 2) to face each other. Magnets of opposite poles are available in the base piece (1) and in the complement piece (2) that attract each other to ensure the union. In another embodiment, the button comprises magnets in both parts (1, 2) to facilitate the positioning of the complement piece (2) on the base piece (1) before adjusting. Figure 4 shows an embodiment of the base part (1) in which it comprises projections (5) configured to grip the user to maintain the position of the base part (1) while separating the complement part therefrom. (2). These highlights (5) could also be in the complement piece (2).

This embodiment is especially interesting for interchangeable buttons in which the base part (1) and the complement part (2) are joined by threading (or that of incoming and outgoing). This is because when one of the pieces is rotated to separate it from the other (generally the complement piece (2) is rotated with respect to the base piece (1)) the piece that should be fixed is not and always rotates slightly dragged by the turning movement of the other piece. To avoid this, the projections (5) have been included that allow the user to hold the base part (1), or the complement part (2) if they are arranged in it, so that the base part (1) (or the complement part (2) if applicable) is fixed. This prevents the base piece (1) from rotating and therefore the thread connecting the button to the garment is worn. This facilitates the operation of separating the pieces (1, 2) of the button while avoiding possible breakage of the threads that connect the button to the garment.

Preferably, the base piece (1) or the complement piece (2) on which the projection (5) is arranged comprises at least one face intended to be oriented towards the garment and the projection (5) is arranged on said face so that they are hidden from view. In this way, the projections (5) fulfill only the previously described function of allowing the user to have a support to facilitate the separation of the base piece (1) and the complement piece (2).

In another exemplary embodiment, the projections (5) could be arranged in the base piece (1) on which face that faces outwards. In this case, the projections are visible (they must be accessible to the user so that he can rely on them during the separation operation of the base piece (1) and the complement piece (2)) and can fulfill an aesthetic function. In this embodiment, preferably the complement piece (2) is an annular piece or with the same configuration as the perimeter of the base piece (1) so that the face of the base piece (1) where the projections are (5) are exposed towards the outside.

This embodiment in which the button comprises projections (5) is also especially useful for cases in which the fasteners (3) between the base part (1) and the complement part (2) are magnets.

Figures 5 and 6 show exemplary embodiments in which at least one of the pieces comprises a perimeter extension (6). In said figures a button has been shown in which the base piece (1) comprises the perimeter extension (6) and the complement piece (2) joins the base piece (1) and is supported on said perimeter extension (6) . This allows to give greater strength to the button and facilitate the handling of the pieces.

In figure 5 an embodiment is also shown in which the clamping of the pieces is done with a semi-overturned. In this embodiment the base part (1) comprises projections and the complement part (2) comprises recesses with a configuration that allows a certain rotation movement of the complement part (2) with respect to the base part (1).

The base part (1) is always used as a support and the complement part (2) could be, in addition to any known material for a button, a technological device (such as a camera or a microcomputer), a precious metal, an element of jewelry, etc.

Both the base piece (1) and the complement piece (2) can be different sizes, materials, shapes and decorations. In addition the complement piece (2) can cover the base part (1) totally or partially depending on the needs or tastes of the users to give an even greater versatility.

Claims

one . - Interchangeable button of the type intended to be sewn by a thread to a garment or a fabric and said button is characterized by comprising:

-a base piece (1) comprising at least one hole through which the thread passes, and

-a complement piece (2) attached to the base piece (1),

and at least the base part (1) or the complement part (2) comprises a fastening element (3) designed to allow the connection between the base part (1) and the complement part (2).

2. - Interchangeable button according to claim 1 characterized in that the base part (1) comprises at least one recess (4) in the perimeter of which the fastener (3) is arranged and that it is intended to receive the complement part ( 2).

3. - Interchangeable button according to claim 2, characterized in that the clamping element (3) of the base piece (1) is a threaded and because the complement piece (2) comprises around its contour a threading complementary to that of the clamping element (3).

4. - Interchangeable button according to claim 2 characterized in that the clamping element (3) is a perimeter recess and because the complement piece (2) comprises around its contour a perimeter projection intended to fit in the clamping element (3) .

5. - Interchangeable button according to claim 2 characterized in that the clamping element (3) is a perimeter projection and because the complement piece (2) comprises around its contour a perimeter recess intended to receive the clamping element (3).

6. - Interchangeable button according to claim 1 characterized in that the complement piece (2) comprises a recess in the perimeter of which the clamping element (3) is arranged and which is intended to receive the complement piece (2).

7. - Interchangeable button according to claim 6 characterized in that the clamping element (3) of the complement piece (2) is a thread and because the base part (1) comprises around its contour a thread complementary to that of the clamping element (3).

8. - Interchangeable button according to claim 6 characterized in that the clamping element (3) is a perimeter recess and because the base part (1) comprises around its contour a perimeter projection intended to fit in the clamping element (3) .

9. - Interchangeable button according to claim 6 characterized in that the clamping element (3) is a perimeter projection and because the base part (1) comprises around its contour a perimeter recess intended to receive the clamping element (3).

10. - Interchangeable button according to claim 1 characterized in that it comprises at least one shoulder (5) in one of the pieces (1, 2).

eleven . - Interchangeable button according to claim 10 characterized in that the piece (1, 2) in which the shoulder is arranged (5) comprises at least one face intended to be oriented towards the garment and the shoulder (5) is arranged on said face .

12. - Interchangeable button according to claim 1 characterized in that the base part (1) comprises a perimeter extension (6) intended to support the complement part (2).
