Abstract

In verschiedenen Äusführungsbeispielen wird ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer optoelektronischen Baugruppe (100) bereitgestellt. Die optoelektronische Baugruppe (100) weist mindestens einen Bauelementsträng (22) mit mindestens einem Abschnitt (102, 110) auf. Der Abschnitt (102, 110) weist mindestens ein Leuchtdiodenelement (12, 14, 16, 18) auf. Der Abschnitt (102, 110) wird mit elektrischer Energie versorgt. Die Versorgung des Abschnitts (102, 110) mit elektrischer Energie wird unterbrochen. Ein Eingang (106, 116) des Abschnitts (102, 110) des Bauelementstrangs (22) wird mit einem Ausgang (108, 118) des Abschnitts (102, 110) des Bauelementstrangs (22) elektrisch gekoppelt. Ein Maximalwert eines elektrischen Entladestroms, der über die elektrische Kopplung des Abschnitts (102, 110) fließt, wird erfasst. Abhängig von dem erfassten Maximalwert wird ermittelt, ob der Abschnitt (102, 110) des Bauelementstrangs (22) einen Kurzschluss aufweist.
