Description

電動化航空機並びに電動化航空機における電動モータの出力及び数を決定する方法
 本発明は、電動モータにより推進系を駆動する電動化航空機並びに電動化航空機における電動モータの出力及び数を決定する方法に関する。
 近年、数人から十数人乗りクラスの小型機が、その利便性の高さや燃費性能の向上により大きく販売機体数を増加させており、今後、旅客機による航空輸送を補う輸送手段として、需要の増加が見込まれ、航空機産業を活性化させる新しい市場として期待されている。しかし、数人乗り程度の小型航空機は、大型の旅客機と比較して事故率が非常に高く、その普及を阻む要因となっている。
 こうした事故の原因の多くは、操縦経験の浅いパイロットのワークロードの増大に伴う操縦ミスであり、通常飛行時だけでなく、ワークロードの増加しやすい悪天候時や不具合発生時などの非常時おいてもパイロットの負担を軽減することが、上記の理由から航空機産業の発展において急務である。
 こうした状況において、近年実現性を帯びてきたプロペラなどの推進器を電動モータで駆動する電動化航空機では、高い燃費性能だけでなく内燃機関と比較して極めて高い制御性・応答性を有しており、電動モータによる各種の操縦自動化技術が提案されている(非特許文献1参照)。
 電動モータによる各種の操縦自動化技術は、メンテナンス性の高さと合わせて、多くの人が特別な訓練なく自動車と同じような手軽さで航空機を扱えるようにするものである。この電動モータによる操縦自動化技術は上記のようなパイロットの操縦ミス、負担などを軽減させることができ、事故率を低下させることができるので、小型航空機の普及に向けた起爆剤となりうる。
 ただし、このような技術が適用されるには、どのような時にも上記のような操縦自動化技術を破たんさせず、パイロットに特殊な操縦技能や修正操作を要求しないようにする、すなわち非常時にも通常と同様の安定した飛行を継続できるようにする必要がある。
 ここで、不測の事態においてワークロードが大きく増大するケースとして、飛行中の推進系不具合による推力の大幅な減少・喪失が挙げられる。このとき、パイロットは、推力回復操作や不時着地点の捜索などの多くの動作が同時に要求され、パイロットワークロードが増大して操縦ミスを誘発する。
 このような課題に対し、例えば特許文献1に記載されているように、推進系を多発化することで推力の完全喪失を防止することが考えられる。

 しかしながら、特許文献1に記載された技術では、多発機における一部推進器の推力の減少・喪失自体が推力分布の不均衡を生み、機体の挙動を大きく変化させる(ヨーモーメントの発生等)ため、パイロットは上記に加えさらに多くの回復操作を緊急に実施する必要があり、さらにワークロードを増加させてしまう。この推力分布の不均衡に対し、機体片側の推力が減少した場合にもう一方の推力を減少させることで機体のヨー安定を保つ方法が考えられるが、機体全体の推力も減少してしまうため、やはりパイロットの修正動作が必要となる。
 加えて、電動モータは既に説明したとおり単体としての信頼性・メンテナンス性が高く、内燃機関で駆動する場合と比べて推力を喪失する危険は低いが、航空機適用時に特に問題となる高温時に発生する永久磁石の減磁や、コイルの焼損などの異常又はその予兆(以下、「異常状態」という。)を検知することは困難であり、航空機において要求される信頼性要求を満たすには不十分である。
 本発明は、これらの課題を解決するものであり、電動モータを含む駆動系により推進系プロペラ又はファンを回転駆動する電動化航空機にあって、航空機において要求される安全性を確保することができる電動化航空機を提供することを目的とする。
 本発明の別の目的は、駆動系の総重量の増加を抑制しつつ安全性を確保することができる電動化航空機並びに電動化航空機における電動モータの出力及び数を決定する方法を提供するものである。
 本発明の一形態に係る電動化航空機は、1つの推進系プロペラ又はファンを回転駆動する複数の電動モータを有する電動化航空機である。
 また、前記複数の電動モータの合計出力と、要求出力との間に、以下の関係を有する。

 本発明に一形態に係る電動化航空機は、1つの推進系プロペラ又はファンを回転駆動する複数の電動モータを有する電動化航空機であって、複数の電動モータの合計出力と、機体の要求出力との間に、Pmax(n-1)/n>Preq 、(Pmax:電動モータの合計出力(kW)、 n:電動モータの数、 Preq:機体の要求出力(kW))の関係を有する。
 本発明に一形態に係る電動化航空機によれば、1つの推進系プロペラ又はファンに対してこれを回転駆動する電動モータを複数有することで、電動モータを含む駆動系により推進系プロペラ又はファンを回転駆動する電動化航空機にあって、航空機において要求される安全性を確保することができる。
 また、複数の電動モータの合計出力と、機体の要求出力との間に、Pmax(n-1)/n>Preq の関係を有することにより、複数の電動モータのうちの1つの出力が出せなくなっても、その電動モータを機械的又は電気的に切り離すことで、残りの電動モータのみでも機体の要求出力を満たすことが可能となる。すなわち、これにより、1つの推進系プロペラ又はファンを回転駆動する複数の電動モータを最適な出力及び数とすることができる。よって、総重量の増加を抑制しつつ安全性を確保することができる。
 本発明の一形態に係る電動化航空機は、電動モータの数と、機体の要求出力との間に、

 これにより、機体の要求出力に応じた最適な数とし、航空機に要求される高信頼性と推進系重量の低減を両立できる。
 本発明の一形態に係る電動化航空機は、電動モータの電流を検出する電流検出手段と、電動モータの回転数を検出する回転数検出手段と、特性データ群のデータを記憶する記憶部と、大気密度及び対気速度を検出する気流検出手段と、プロペラトルク推定部と、モータトルク推定部と、比較検知部とを具備する。
 プロペラトルク推定部が、回転数検出手段から得られた回転数、特性データ群のデータ、気流検出手段から得られた大気密度及び対気速度を用いて推進系プロペラのプロペラトルクを推定する。
 モータトルク推定部が、電流検出手段から得られた電流及び回転数検出手段から得られた回転数を用いてモータトルクを推定する。
 比較検知部が、推定されたプロペラトルク及びモータトルクを比較し、プロペラトルクとモータトルク(減速機を適用する場合にはモータトルクと減速比との積)の差が所定の値を超えたことで電動モータの異常状態を検知することにより、特別な検出機構を設けることなくリアルタイムで電動モータの異常状態を検知することが可能となる。
 すなわち、電動モータの異常状態の1つである永久磁石の減磁を検出する手法として、例えば特開2013-249510号公報に開示されている。しかしながら、これらの手法は、速度だけでなく気温や高度で負荷特性が時々刻々変化する航空機用推進系には適用できず、不具合発生時に上記のような異常状態の検知や異常状態の電動モータの特定ができないために推力制御が困難になる。その結果、機体制御をパイロットが補う必要があり、ワークロードの増大が避けられない上に、多彩な推進系配置の機体では推力制御の破たんによる推力分布の不均衡で、かえって機体の安定を損なう危険がある。
 これに対して、本発明の一形態に係る電動化航空機では、上記のように構成することで、電動モータの異常状態への対処を迅速に行うことが可能となり、安全性を確保することができる。すなわち、本発明は、推進系プロペラ又はファンを回転駆動する複数の電動モータを、最適な出力、数とすることで、総重量の増加を抑制しつつ安全性を確保するとともに、異常状態を的確に検知し異常状態の電動モータを特定し、異常状態の発生時にも推力分布を含む機体挙動を変化させず、パイロットワークロードの増加を防ぐ電動化航空機を提供することができる。
 本発明の一形態に係る電動化航空機は、電動モータを制御する駆動制御手段を備え、比較検知部は、駆動制御手段がそれぞれの電動モータにモータトルクの変化指令を与えたときに、推定されたプロペラトルクとモータトルクとの線形和の差が所定の値を超えたことで、複数の電動モータのうち異常状態が発生している電動モータを特定することにより、前述のようにリアルタイムで電動モータの異常状態を検知した際に、複数の電動モータに個別に検出機構を設けることなく異常状態の電動モータを特定することが可能となる。
 このことで、異常状態となった特定の電動モータに対する対処を的確に行うことが可能となり、さらに、安全性を確保することができる。
 本発明の一形態に係る電動化航空機は、駆動制御手段が、推進系プロペラ又はファンの回転数を維持するようそれぞれの電動モータにモータトルクの変化指令を与えることで、異常状態が発生している電動モータを特定することにより、特定のためのシーケンス時に推進系プロペラ又はファンの回転数の変化が少なく、機体の挙動の変化を抑制できるとともに、より迅速に異常状態が発生している電動モータを特定できる。
 本発明の一形態に係る電動化航空機は、電動モータが推進系プロペラ又はファンの回転により発電を行う機能を有し、駆動制御手段が、推進系プロペラ又はファンの回転により電動モータに発電を行わせる際、複数の電動モータのモータトルクの配分割合を、駆動時と異なるように制御することにより、複数の電動モータのトータルの発電効率を向上することが可能となる。
 本発明の一形態に係る電動化航空機は、複数の電動モータのうち少なくとも1つが、ワンウェイクラッチを介して推進系プロペラ又はファンを回転駆動することにより、当該電動モータの異常状態により回転数が低下したり停止した場合でも、推進系プロペラ又はファンにブレーキとして作用することがなく、電気的に制御する前に、機械的に迅速に安全性を確保することができる。
 また、ワンウェイクラッチを介して推進系プロペラ又はファンを回転駆動する電動モータが、推進系プロペラ又はファンの回転により発電を行う機能を有し、推進系プロペラ又はファンの回転により発電を行う際には、機械的にモータトルクの割合がゼロとなり、複数の電動モータのモータトルクの配分割合の制御を簡略化することができる。
 本発明の一形態に係る電動化航空機は、推定されたプロペラトルクと異常状態が発生している電動モータ以外の電動モータのモータトルクの線形和とのトルク差を算出し、算出されたトルク差から異常状態が発生している電動モータのトルクを推定する異常時演算部を更に具備する。これにより、個別の電動モータに検出機構を設けることなく異常状態の電動モータの異常の程度を特定することが可能となる。
 このことで、異常状態の電動モータをどの程度利用するか、例えば、完全に切り離す、ある程度の出力で継続利用する、等の対処を的確に行うことが可能となり、さらに、安全性を確保することができる。
 本発明の一形態に係る電動化航空機は、駆動制御手段が、推進系プロペラ又はファンの複数の異なる回転数で比較検知部を作動させ、異常状態が発生している電動モータのモータトルクと推進系プロペラ又はファンの回転数との関係に関する異常時データ群を算出する。これにより、個別の電動モータに検出機構を設けることなく異常状態の電動モータの特性に関するデータを取得することができる。
 本発明の一形態に係る電動化航空機は、駆動制御手段が、特性データ群と異常時データ群とを用い、異常状態が発生する以前の推力又はプロペラトルクを所定の範囲内に維持するよう制御する。これにより、異常状態が発生しても機体の挙動が変化することを自動的に抑制して制御が継続されるため、パイロットワークロードの増加を防止し、安全性を確保することができる。
 本発明の一形態に係る電動化航空機は、電動化航空機が、複数のプロペラ又はファンを備え、駆動制御手段は、電動モータの異常状態の発生後の機体に作用するモーメントの値と発生前の機体に作用するモーメントの値との差を所定の範囲内に維持するよう制御する。これにより、複数のプロペラを備えた多発機においても機体の挙動が変化することを自動的に抑制して制御が継続されるため、さらにパイロットワークロードの増加を防止し、安全性を確保することができる。
 次に、図1、図2に本発明に係る電動化航空機の推進系の概要を示す。
 推進系プロペラであるプロペラ110は複数の電動モータ130によって駆動される。なお、本発明は、プロペラだけでなく電動化航空機のファンにも適用できる。ここで、ファンとは、例えば、回転する動翼と動翼の下流に設置された静翼とそれらの外周を覆うダクトからなる推進装置である。
 図1に示す例では、複数の電動モータ130が直列に多段に配置されて、プロペラ110が直接駆動される。
 図2に示す例では、複数の電動モータ130が並列に配置され、プロペラ110は伝動機構132を介して駆動される。
 それぞれの電動モータ130は電源装置134からインバータ133を介して電力供給を受けている。
 不具合が人命に直結する有人航空機は、無人航空機と比較して非常に高い信頼性を要求される。
 一般的な有人航空機では推進器を駆動するプロペラは離陸上昇時に20kW程度以上の発動機が必要な場合が多く、それらに用いられる電動モータは、図3に示すように、各電動モータの最大出力Pnmax[kW]に対し電動モータとインバータの重量合計Wn[kgf]はほぼ線形に推移する。
 このとき、電動モータ数nと電動モータとインバータの重量合計Wnと推進系重量Wth[kgf]の関係は

 加えて、図3に示すように、10kW程度以上の出力では、各電動モータの最大出力Pnmaxを各段の最大出力として、

 また、推進系の総最大出力Pmax[kW]は単段故障時に備えたるため、推進系の要求出力Preq[kW]を維持するために下式を満たす必要がある。

 推進系の要求出力Preqは、異常発生時にも出力できることを要求される出力値で、例えば、離陸上昇に最低限必要な出力などが該当し、機体形状、機体重量、翼形式、翼形状、翼面積等の諸元に基づいて定まるものである。

 よって上記のような構成とすることで、有人機に要求される高信頼性と推進系重量の低減を両立できる。
 以上の説明について、理解を容易にするために、更に詳細に説明する。
 電動モータは、単体でも信頼性は高いものの、永久磁石の減磁や、コイルの焼損などの異常又はその予兆(以下、異常状態)が発生する可能性がある。特に、有人航空機の場合には、電動モータの異常状態が人命に直結するため、電動モータには非常に高い信頼性が要求される。そこで、本実施形態では、信頼性を向上させるために、1つの推進器(プロペラ110)を、複数の電動モータで駆動することし、かつ、電動モータの数nを、要求される出力に必要な電動モータの数よりも1つ多くすることとしている(Pmax(n-1)/n≧Preq)。
 これにより、複数の電動モータのうちの1つ電動モータの出力が出せなくなったとしても、残りの電動モータのみで機体の要求出力Preq[kW]を満たすことができる。従って、本実施形態では、電動化航空機(有人航空機、無人航空機を含む)において要求される厳格な安全性を確保することができる。これは、小型航空機等の電動化航空機の普及に向けた起爆剤となり得る。
 ここで、或る電動モータにおいて、異常状態が生じた場合、その異常状態を的確に検知し、異常状態の電動モータを的確に特定することができれば、その電動モータを電気的、機械的に切り離すことによって、さらに安全性を向上させることができると考えられる。この異常状態の電動モータを特定する方法については、後に詳述する。
 ここで、本実施形態のように、1つの推進器(プロペラ100)を複数の電動モータによって駆動する場合、1つの推進器を1つの電動モータで駆動する場合と比べて、電動モータ及びインバータの総重量(推進系重量Wth)が増大してしまうといった短所が存在する。このため、重量の観点からすると、電動モータ(及びインバータ)の数が適切に設定されている方が有利である。
 一例を挙げて具体的に説明する。例えば、機体の要求出力Preq(1つの推進器の要求出力)が50kwであるとする。この場合において、例えば、25kwの電動モータの数nを3つとする場合と、10kwの電動モータの数nを6つとする場合とで、それぞれ推進系重量Wth(1セットの電動モータ及びインバータの重量Wn×セット数n)が異なることになる。
 なお、25kwの電動モータの数nが3つである場合、或る1つの電動モータにおいて異常状態が発生した場合、残りの2つの電動モータで50kw(=2×25kw)の要求出力を担保することになる。また、10kwの電動モータの数が6つである場合、或る1つの電動モータにおいて異常状態が発生した場合、残りの5つの電動モータで50kw(=5×10kw)の要求出力を担保することになる。
 推進系重量Wthは、電動モータ(及びインバータ)の数nに応じて異なることになるが、これが、図4の横軸、左側の縦軸、及び菱形のプロットによって表されている。図4の菱形のプロットは、上記した式 Wth=C・Preq・n/(n-1)+Cnにおいて、C=3.125[kgf]、C=0.469[kgf/kW]、Preq=50[kw]とし、n(整数)を2~20まで変化させたときの様子を示している。
 図4の菱形のプロットにおいて、n=2のとき、すなわち、50kwの2つの電動モータによって1つの推進器を駆動する場合、推進系重量Wthが約50kgfである(つまり、1セットの電動モータ及びインバータの重量Wnが約25kgf:図3も参照)。また、n=3のとき、すなわち、25kwの3つの電動モータによって1つの推進器を駆動する場合、推進系重量Wthが約43kgfである(つまり、1セットの電動モータ及びインバータの重量Wnが約14.3kgf:図3も参照)。
 また、n=4のとき、すなわち、16.7kwの4つの電動モータによって1つの推進器を駆動する場合、推進系重量Wthが約42kgfである(つまり、1セットの電動モータ及びインバータの重量Wnが約10.5kgf:図3も参照)。
 要求出力Preqが50kwである場合、電動モータ(及びインバータ)の数nが4のときに、推進系重量Wthが極小値(最小値)を取り、その値が約42kgfである。すなわち、要求出力Preqが50kwである場合、最軽量電動モータ数noptは、4である。そして、電動モータ(及びインバータ)の数nが4以上となると、推進系重量Wthは、nが増加するに従って単調に増加する。
 次に、図4の横軸、右側の縦軸、及び正方形のプロットを参照する。この正方形のプロットは、最小の推進系重量Wthmin(つまり、n=4のときの約42kgf)を基準としたときの推進系重量Wthの比率を表している。
 例えば、n=2のときの推進系重量Wthは、最小の推進系重量Wthmin(n=4)に対してその重さが約1.2倍である。また、例えば、n=20のときの推進系重量Wthは、最小の推進系重量Wthmin(n=4)に対してその重さが約2倍である。
 ここで、式 Wth=C・Preq・n/(n-1)+Cn(図4の菱形のプロット参照)について、このWthをnで偏微分して、偏微分の式を0とするnの値を求めれば、最軽量電動モータ数noptを求めることができる。つまり、上記のように、nopt=√(CPreq/C)+1である。但し、noptは、整数であるので、本実施形態では、noptに範囲を設定している。
 この範囲が、上記した√(0.15Preq)≦nopt≦√(0.15Preq)+2であり、これが図5に示されている。
 図5に示すように、最軽量電動モータ数noptは、要求出力Preqに応じて異なっていることが分かる。例えば、要求出力Preqが50kwの場合、最軽量電動モータ数noptは、4であり、要求出力Preqが100kwの場合、最軽量電動モータ数noptは、5である。また、例えば、要求出力Preqが150kwの場合、最軽量電動モータ数noptは、6である。なお、上述の図4の説明では、要求出力Preqを50kwに固定して議論を行っている。
 ここで、各要求出力Preqについて、√(0.15Preq)以上であり、√(0.15Preq)+2以下である整数は、2つ存在する。この2つの整数のうち、推進系重量Wthを最小とする整数が最軽量電動モータ数noptであり、典型的には、このnoptが電動モータ数nとして選択される。但し、上記範囲に含まれる2つの整数のうち、もう一方の整数が、電動モータ数nとして選択されてもよい。
 図5を参照して具体的に説明する。図5において、要求出力Preqが50kwである場合、√(0.15Preq)(=2.74)以上であり、√(0.15Preq)+2(=4.74)以下の範囲に含まれる整数は、3及び4の2種類である。この2つの整数のうち、推進系重量Wthを最小とする整数である4が最軽量電動モータ数noptであり、典型的には、このnoptが電動モータ数nとして選択される。図4を参照してこの場合の推進系重量は、約42kgfである。
 一方、上記範囲に含まれるもう一方の整数である3を、電動モータ数nとして選択した場合、推進系重量は、約43kgfである(図4参照)。つまり、上記範囲に含まれるもう一方の整数を電動モータ数nとして選択した場合、最軽量電動モータ数noptを電動モータ数nとして選択した場合よりも重量が多少増加するものの、これらに差はあまりない。
 つまり、√(0.15Preq)以上、√(0.15Preq)+2以下の範囲の整数を、電動モータ数nとして選択すれば、航空機において要求される厳格な安全性と、推進系重量の低減を両立することができる。
 次に、本発明に係る電動化航空機の制御の基本概要について電動モータ130が1つの例で説明する。
 図6に示すように、プロペラ110は電源装置134からインバータ133を介して供給される電力で回転する電動モータ130により駆動される。
 駆動制御手段120はモータトルク推定部(図示せず)を有し、モータトルク推定部は、電動モータの電流を検出する電流検出手段(図示せず)より得た電圧E、電流Im及び電動モータの回転数を検出する回転数検出手段(図示せず)より得た回転数Nから、モータトルクτmを推定する。
 また、駆動制御手段120はプロペラトルク推定部(図示せず)を有し、プロペラトルク推定部は、気流検知手段140から得られる対気速度V、大気密度ρ及び前記回転数Nと、図7に示すように予め記録された推進系プロペラのトルク特性に関する特性データ群の回転数Nとプロペラトルクτpの関係からプロペラトルクτpを推定する。
 電動モータ130内部の発熱などで電動モータ130の永久磁石が減磁するなどの不具合が生じた場合、モータトルクτmは減少するが、モータトルクの推定値τm'は変化しない。
 一方不具合が生じても、τp=τmの関係は変わらないため、プロペラ110は減少したプロペラトルクτpに対応して回転数が不具合発生前の値NからNに変化する。
 この時、Nに対応し変化したプロペラトルクτpの推定値τp'とモータトルクの推定値τm'の間には差分が生じ、この値がある閾値Δτを超えた時に、駆動制御手段120に設けられた比較検知部(図示せず)は電動モータ130を異常状態とみなす。
 一般に永久磁石は高温になると減磁し、ある温度以降では温度低下によって回復しない不可逆な損傷となるが、ある温度上昇がある範囲内であれば温度低下とともに回復するため、閾値Δτを十分小さく設定することで、不可逆な損傷に至る前に減磁の兆候を検知することができる。
 本発明に係る電動化航空機の推進系の第1実施形態乃至第4実施形態の概略構成を、図8乃至図11に示す。
 第1実施形態乃至第3実施形態では、図8乃至10に示すように、プロペラ110は電源装置134からインバータ133を介して電力供給を受ける複数の電動モータ130と、電源兼蓄電装置135からインバータ133を介して電力供給を受け、発電時にインバータ133を介して電源兼蓄電装置135に電力を回生する1つの回生電動モータ130gを有している。
 また、第4実施形態では、図11に示すように、すべての電動モータ130、回生電動モータ130gのインバータ133に対して、1つの電源兼蓄電装置135が共通に接続されている。
 回生電動モータ130gは、他の電動モータ130より低トルク領域で効率が高くなる特性を持っている。
 第1実施形態では、図8に示すように、プロペラ110につながる動力軸111が伝動機構132を介して並列に設けられた複数の電動モータ130及び1つの回生電動モータ130gにより回転駆動される。
 回生電動モータ130gは伝動機構132とクラッチ136を介して接続され、それ以外の電動モータ130は伝動機構132とワンウェイクラッチ131を介して接続されている。
 第2実施形態では、図9に示すように、回生電動モータ130gはプロペラ110につながる動力軸111と直結され、それ以外の電動モータ130は動力軸111とワンウェイクラッチ131を介して接続されている。
 第3実施形態では、図10に示すように、プロペラ110につながる動力軸111が伝動機構132を介してモータ出力軸137により回転駆動される。
 回生電動モータ130gはモータ出力軸137と直結され、それ以外の電動モータ130はモータ出力軸137とワンウェイクラッチ131を介して接続されている。
 第4実施形態では、図11に示すように、回生電動モータ130gはプロペラ110につながる動力軸111とクラッチ136を介して接続され、それ以外の電動モータ130は動力軸111とワンウェイクラッチ131を介して接続されている。
 なお、第1実施形態及び第3実施形態の伝動機構132は、チェーン、ベルト、ギヤ等のいかなる機構であってもよく、減速機構を兼ねていてもよい。
 電動モータによりプロペラを駆動する電動化航空機はプロペラに流入する風力を電気エネルギとして回生することが可能であることがすでに公知である。
 その回生電力は駆動時の動作点と比較して、トルクの非常に小さい動作点で最大となるため、回生効率を高くするには多数の発電機要素にトルクを分散させるよりも、回生時動作点において高効率な要素にトルクを集中させる方が効果的である。
 しかし、回生時動作点においては駆動時と回転数は大きく変わらないため、滑空増速時や突風発生時にはプロペラの回転数が不意に大きくなり、電動モータが過回転に陥ることに起因する不具合を起こしやすい。
 そこで第1実施形態乃至第4実施形態では、電動モータ130を、図12に示すように、駆動時動作点で高効率とし、回生電動モータ130gを、図13に示すように、回生時トルクを回生時動作点で高効率として、複数の電動モータ130を動力軸111あるいはモータ出力軸137に対しワンウェイクラッチ131を介して接続する。
 このことで、回生時には、回生電動モータ130gに集中させることができるとともに、滑空増速時及び突風発生時における電動モータ130の過回転を防止し、さらには電動モータ130の故障時の制動トルク発生などの事態における推進系不具合を防止する格別の効果を得ることができる。
 次に、本発明に係る電動化航空機の制御の概要を、図14に示すようなモデル、図19及び図20に示すフローチャートに基づいて説明する。
 プロペラ110は複数の電動モータ130によって駆動され、すべての電動モータ130が正常に定常回転している時、各電動モータ130のモータトルクτmnの総和(伝動機構132が減速機を兼ねている時は、その減速比の積)τmとプロペラトルクτpは等しいが、一部の電動モータ130に異常状態が発生した場合には異常状態の電動モータ130はトルクを減少あるいは制動トルクを発生するため、τp>τmとなりプロペラ110の回転数や推力を維持できず、パイロットは修正動作を行うことになりワークロードが増大してしまう。
 加えて電動モータ130の異常状態は電源系統(図14では図示せず)やインバータ133の故障を誘発する危険があるため、異常状態の電動モータ130を迅速に特定する必要がある。
 本実施形態では、異常なく定常運転しておりインバータ133が電動モータ130を回転数制御方式で駆動している時、駆動制御手段120は回転数Nをある範囲内に保ちつつ各インバータ133に回転数Nの指令値を送り、インバータ133は回転数がNを外れないよう電動モータ130を制御する。
 すべての電動モータ130及びインバータ133が正常に定常運転している時、プロペラ110の回転数Nは維持されるが、i'番目の電動モータ130に異常状態が発生した場合には、i'番目の電動モータ130のトルクτmi'が減少、あるいは制動トルクとなるために、回転数Nを維持するよう各電動モータ130のトルクτmnが増加し、回転数Nにおけるプロペラトルクの推定値τpと(ステップ1902)、τmnの推定値の線形和τpと(ステップ1901)の間に差が生じる。
 この差が、ある閾値Δτを超えたとき(ステップ1903)、いずれかの電動モータ130に異常状態(異常またはその予兆)が発生したと判断する(ステップ1904)。
 異常状態が検知されたとき、駆動制御手段120は各電動モータ130へのトルク指令値を個別に変化させる。
 例えば合計n台の各電動モータ130及びインバータ133がすべて同一の出力特性を有していた時、駆動制御手段120はある時間幅おきに、
 τmi=0、 ・・・ (i=1、2、・・・n)
 τmj=τp/(n-1) ・・・ (i≠j)
と単一の電動モータ130のみのトルク指令値を他の要素に対して別の値に設定する。
 すなわち、駆動制御手段120は、複数の電動モータ130のうち、異常状態が発生したi'番目の電動モータ130を特定するために、以下の処理を実行する。まず、駆動制御手段は、或る1台の電動モータ(i=1番目の電動モータ)に対して0のトルク指令値を出し(τmi=0)、その他の各電動モータ(j=2~n番目の各電動モータ)に対してτp/(n-1)のトルク指令値を出す(τmj=τp/(n-1))。このようなトルク指令値によって、各電動モータを駆動させるといった処理が所定時間(例えば、0.5秒程度)継続して行われる。
 このとき、駆動制御手段のモータトルク推定部は、電流検出手段により得られた各電動モータの電圧E、電流Im及び回転数検出手段により得られた各電動モータの回転数Nから、各電動モータのモータトルクτmnを推定するといった処理を実行する。そして、駆動制御手段は、得られた各電動モータのモータトルクτmnの推定値をそれぞれ加算し、τmnの推定値の線形和τti(i=1)を算出する。これにより、1つ目のサンプルが得られる(ステップ2001、2002)。
 上記所定時間(例えば、0.5秒程度)が経過すると、駆動制御手段は、先ほど0のトルク指令値が出された電動モータとは異なる1台の電動モータ(i=2番目の電動モータ)に対して0のトルク指令値を出し(τmi=0)、その他の各電動モータ(j=1、3~n番目の各電動モータ)に対してτp/(n-1)のトルク指令値を出す(τmj=τp/(n-1))。
 そして、先ほどと同様にして、駆動制御手段のモータトルク推定部は、各電動モータのモータトルクτmnを推定するといった処理を実行する。そして、駆動制御手段は、得られた各電動モータのモータトルクτmnの推定値をそれぞれ加算して線形和τti(i=2)を算出し、これにより、2つ目のサンプルを得る(ステップ2001、2002)。
 以上のような処理がn回繰り返され、これにより、n個のサンプル、つまり、n個の線形和τti(i=1、2、・・n)が得られる。
 このn個の線形和τti(i=1、2・・n)のうち、最小の値を取る線形和τtiがi'番目の線形和τti'である場合(ステップ2003)、駆動制御手段は、このi'番目の電動モータ130がトルク減少幅の大きい異常状態の電動モータ130であると判断する(ステップ2004)。
 本実施形態では、以上のような処理により、異常状態の電動モータ130を的確に特定することができる。従って、例えば、その電動モータを電気的、機械的に切り離す(例えば、異常状態の電源モータに0のトルク指令値を出す)ことによって、さらに電動化航空機の安全性を向上させることができる。
 上記のように異常状態の電動モータ130を特定した時、τt-τp≦Δτであれば、異常状態の電動モータ130の制動トルクはほぼなく、その他の電動モータ130のトルクをn/(n-1)倍することで異常状態の電動モータ130のトルクを補うことができる。
 τt-τp>Δτの場合は異常状態の電動モータ130は制動トルクτbを発生しており、プロペラ110の運転状態を維持するには制動トルク分も補償する必要がある。
 このとき、駆動制御手段120は、異常状態であると判断されたi'番目の電動モータに対するトルク指令値を0(τmi'=0)に維持しながら、図15に示すように、予め記録された回転数N、対気速度V、大気密度ρとプロペラトルクτpの関係から駆動制御手段120は回転数Nにおけるプロペラトルクτpを推定し、正常な電動モータ130のトルクの線形和とプロペラトルクτpの差分から制動トルクτbを推定する。
 上記の操作を、回転数Nを変化させながら行うことで、図16に示すような異常状態発生後のモータ出力領域に関するデータ群を得てモデル化することができ、異常状態発生後もプロペラの動作点を任意に制御することができる。
 図17に示すような推進系を複数備える多発機においては、従来では正常な推進系の出力を異常推進系の出力状態に合わせて低減する又はラダーなどの舵角を調整することで機体の安定を保っていたが、本発明では、駆動制御手段120は、図18に示すように予め記録された回転数N、対気速度V、大気密度ρと推力Tの関係と前記のように再構築した異常状態の発生した推進系の出力モデルを用いて、異常状態発生前の推力Tを維持することができる。
 また、図16のように異常状態発生により発生前の出力領域が維持できない場合でも、前記のように異常状態発生後の出力特性モデルに基づき、ピッチ角βと回転数Nの組み合わせを調整することでプロペラ110の動作点を変更し、推力Tを維持できる。
 以上のように、本発明によれば、電動化航空機の推進駆動系の高い応答性を活かして、推進系プロペラを回転駆動する複数の電動モータを、最適な出力、数とすることで、総重量の増加を抑制しつつ安全性を確保するとともに、異常状態を的確に検知し異常状態の電動モータを特定し、異常状態の発生時にも推力分布を含む機体挙動を変化させず、パイロットワークロードの増加を防ぐことができるとともに、複数のプロペラを備えた多発機においても自動的に機体の挙動を変化させることを抑制して制御が継続され、パイロットワークロードの増加を防止し、安全性を確保することができる。
 なお、電流検出手段、回転数検出手段、気流検出手段は、機能的に電流、回転数、気流が検知できる手段であればいかなるものであってもよく、他のパラメータから演算で検知するものであってもよい。

Claims (13)

  1.  1つの推進系プロペラ又はファンを回転駆動する複数の電動モータを有する電動化航空機であって、
     前記複数の電動モータの合計出力と、要求出力との間に、
     Pmax(n-1)/n>Preq
      Pmax:電動モータの合計出力(kW)
      n:電動モータの数
      Preq:要求出力(kW)
     の関係を有する電動化航空機。
  2.  請求項1に記載の電動航空機であって、
     前記電動モータの数と、前記要求出力との間に、
     √(0.15Preq)≦n≦√(0.15Preq)+2
    の関係を有する電動化航空機。
  3.  請求項1又は請求項2に記載の電動化航空機であって、
     前記駆動制御手段は、予め記録された推進系プロペラ又はファンのトルク特性に関する特性データ群を有するとともに、プロペラトルク推定部、モータトルク推定部及び比較検知部を備え、
     前記プロペラトルク推定部は、前記回転数検出手段から得られた回転数、前記特性データ群のデータ、前記気流検出手段から得られた大気密度及び対気速度を用いて前記推進系プロペラ又はファンのプロペラトルクを推定し、
     前記モータトルク推定部は、前記電流検出手段から得られた電流及び前記回転数検出手段から得られた回転数を用いてモータトルクを推定し、
     前記比較検知部は、推定されたプロペラトルク及びモータトルクを比較し、プロペラトルクとモータトルクの倍数の差が所定の値を超えたことで前記電動モータの異常状態を検知する電動化航空機。
  4.  請求項3に記載の電動化航空機であって、
     前記比較検知部は、前記駆動制御手段がそれぞれの電動モータにモータトルクの変化指令を与えたときに、推定されたプロペラトルクとモータトルクの線形和の差が所定の値を超えたことで、複数の前記電動モータのうち異常状態が発生している電動モータを特定する電動化航空機。
  5.  請求項3に記載の電動化航空機であって、
     前記比較検知部は、前記駆動制御手段が前記推進系プロペラ又はファンの回転数を維持するようそれぞれの前記電動モータにモータトルクの変化指令を与えたときに、推定されたプロペラトルクとモータトルクの線形和の差が所定の値を超えたことで、複数の前記電動モータのうち異常状態が発生している電動モータを特定する電動化航空機。
  6.  請求項1から5のうちいずれか1項に記載の電動化航空機であって、
     前記駆動制御手段が、前記推進系プロペラ又はファンの回転により前記電動モータに発電を行わせる際、複数の電動モータのモータトルクの割合を、駆動時と異なるように制御する電動化航空機。
  7.  請求項1から6のうちいずれか1項に記載の電動化航空機であって、
     複数の前記電動モータの少なくとも1つが、ワンウェイクラッチを介して前記推進系プロペラ又はファンを回転駆動する電動化航空機。
  8.  請求項3から7のうちいずれか1項に記載の電動化航空機であって、
     前記駆動制御手段が、異常時演算部を備え、
     前記異常時演算部が、推定された前記プロペラトルクと前記異常状態が発生している電動モータ以外の電動モータのモータトルクの線形和とのトルク差を算出し、算出された前記トルク差から前記異常状態が発生している電動モータのトルクを推定する電動化航空機。
  9.  請求項3から8のうちいずれか1項に記載の電動化航空機であって、
     前記駆動制御手段が、前記推進系プロペラ又はファンの複数の異なる回転数で前記比較検知部を作動させ、異常状態が発生している電動モータのモータトルクと前記推進系プロペラ又はファンの回転数の関係に関する異常時データ群を算出する電動化航空機。
  10.  請求項3から9のうちいずれか1項に記載の電動化航空機であって、
     前記駆動制御手段が、前記特性データ群と前記異常時データ群とを用い、異常状態が発生する以前の推力又はプロペラトルクを所定の範囲内に維持するよう制御することを特徴とする電動化航空機。
  11.  請求項3から10のうちいずれか1項に記載の電動化航空機であって、
     前記電動化航空機が、複数のプロペラ又はファンを備え、
     前記駆動制御手段は、前記電動モータの異常状態の発生後の機体に作用するモーメントの値と発生前の機体に作用するモーメント値との差を所定の範囲内に維持するよう制御する電動化航空機。
  12.  少なくとも1つの推進系プロペラ又はファンと、
     前記1つの推進系プロペラ又はファンを回転駆動する複数の電動モータと
     を具備する電動化航空機。
  13.  1つの推進系プロペラ又はファンを回転駆動する複数の電動モータを有する電動化航空機における電動モータの出力及び数を決定する方法であって、
     前記複数の電動モータの合計出力と、要求出力との間に、
     Pmax(n-1)/n>Preq
      Pmax:電動モータの合計出力(kW)
      n:電動モータの数
      Preq:要求出力(kW)
     の関係を有するように電動化航空機における電動モータの出力及び数を決定する方法。
