- the desalination plant 2 is powered by the heat energy of the sun which causes the evaporation of the salt water 3 or of the brackish or polluted water or of water that in any case cannot be directly used for irrigation which is sent thereto by way of a first pump 11 or sent by capillary action through a plurality of pipes 12 or by vacuum.
- Water vapor 13 is thus generated and is then made to condense in the form of clean, fresh water 14, for example at the transparent surface arranged on the roof 9.
- the water 13 evaporated by the solar desalination plant 10 is collected on an adapted duct 17 and conveyed, by way of an adapted pipe 15, to an adapted tank 16.
- an absorbent support such as a sheet made of jute or cotton or other absorbent material, such absorbent support being arranged at a basin 19, which constitutes said solar desalination plant 10, or being supported by a net (not shown).
- the vapor 13 can be sucked with a second pump, not shown, and then sent to a tank 16 outside the greenhouse 4 where the condensation occurs.
- the solar desalination plant 10 can be made up of a closed and transparent box-like structure that also comprises part of the roof 9 of the greenhouse 4 which has a transparent upper surface 18 made of glass, polycarbonate, ETFE or other materials that are capable of allowing the passage of solar radiation and of preventing the egress of the water vapor 13 produced.
