Description
DESCRIPTION
COOKING APPLIANCE COMPRISING AN INTEGRATED RANGE HOOD Technical Field
The invention relates to cooking appliances used for preparing food and beverages in house and industrial kitchens.
The invention especially relates to cooking appliances used for preparing food and beverages in house and industrial kitchens, comprising an integrated range hood which is cost-efficient, easy to transport and store, occupies less space and is visually compatible.
State of the Art
Today, hobs, ovens and most commonly free-standing ovens are used for cooking the food and beverages in house and industrial kitchens. Vapor, gas, odor, etc. occurring during cooking are discharged through range hoods to the chimney or ventilation duct and then to the outside. Range hoods can be classical type operating with effect of chimney made of metal or range hoods with or without motor having different technical properties are also available in the state of the art.
One of the developments regarding the subject in the state of the art is the range hood assembly with the registration No. EP1434011 B1. In said invention, a range hood assembly, especially a sliding range hood, for absorbing the vapor and smoke in the cooking section is disclosed, wherein the assembly comprises a housing provided with an absorber slide and absorber section therein. The absorber slide is connected to the absorber section and can be slid according to the housing. The absorber slide is connected to a ventilator and a chimney disposed inside a ventilator housing through said absorber section. The assembly also comprises at least one cable which provides at least one piece of the absorber slide to be connected to an electrical connection element that is motionless compared to the housing. The electrical connection element is provided in a section where the range hood assembly is out of the passage area of the vapor and smoke. The range hood assembly comprises at least one guide system for the cable; a section, which is separated from the absorber section and in which the cable is guided, is installed in said guide system.
Many inventions which mention a range hood in the preceding type are used together with the cooking appliances such as hobs, ovens and most commonly free-standing ovens. Although some manufacturers produce the cooking appliances and range hoods as a set, in most cases a system
is formed by integrating the cooking appliances and range hoods from different manufacturers and different models due to either technical properties or costs. This results in visual drawbacks and increases the costs. Moreover, both installation and maintenance costs of the system consisting of many parts increase.
Besides, in the existing range hoods a connection with the outside is required by means of the structures such as chimney or ventilation duct. Therefore, range hoods cannot be positioned in the intended place and occupy too much space by volume.
To conclude, due to the need for cooking appliances used for preparing food and beverages in house and industrial kitchens, comprising an integrated range hood, which is cost-efficient, easy to transport and store, occupies less space and is visually compatible, and the inadequacy of the existing solutions, a development is deemed necessary to be made in the related technical field.
Objects of the Invention
The invention aims to introduce different technical properties providing a new development in the related field, distinctly from the embodiments used in the state of the art.
The main object of the cooking appliance according to the invention is to provide a cost-efficient production and to present a visually compatible structure thanks to the integrated range hood that said appliance comprises. Thereby, it occupies less space by volume. Moreover, both installation and maintenance durations of the system consisting of an integrated single piece are shortened and costs are reduced.
Another object of the invention is to provide removal of the unpleasant odors occurring during cooking thanks to the filtration system comprised therein. Thereby, the air which is cleaned without discharging the vapor, gas, odor, etc. to the outside by means of a chimney or ventilation duct is distributed to the environment in a stable manner which prevents discharging of hot air in winter and cold air in summer to the atmosphere and provides saving on the heating and cooling expenses. Moreover, the cooking appliance can be positioned in the intended place.

Detailed Description of the invention
In this detailed description, the cooking appliance (1) according to the invention is described by way of examples only for a better understanding of the subject without any limiting effect.
Main body (10) constitutes the basic structure in the cooking appliance (1) according to the invention. The electric- or gas-operated oven (50) through which the foods are heated and cooked is positioned inside the main body (10). The connection of the oven (50) with the outer environment is prevented with the oven door (51) disposed in the front surface of the main body (10) and by opening the door when intended, the food is allowed to be put into the oven or taken therefrom. Control panel (40) is positioned in the upper section of the oven door (51) again in the front surface of the main body (10). Controls of the brain and all elements of the cooking appliance (10) are involved by said control panel (40). Electric- or gas-operated cooker (30) through which the foods are heated and cooked is positioned in the upper surface of the main body (10). Range hood outlet (11) is formed behind the cooker (30) again in the upper surface of the main body (10). Range hood outlet ( 1 1) is opened to the range hood housing (12) disposed inside the main body (10). Range hood housing (12) comprises the range hood (20). The size of the range hood (20) is designed in a manner to be fitted into the range hood housing (12) and to pass through the range hood outlet (11). Air inlet (22) through which vapor, gas, odor, etc. occurring during cooking enter, is disposed in the upper end of the range hood (20). Oil filter (24) made of aluminum material is positioned inside the range hood (20) following the air inlet (22). Air duct (25) formed as a hollow tunnel is disposed in the inner section of the range hood (20) and transfers the air passing through the oil filter (24) upon coming from the air inlet (22) to the other elements of the system. The range hood (20) is connected to the actuator motor (13) mounted to the main body (10) and receives the motion to inside and outside the main body (10) therefrom. The range hood housing (12) gap is combined with the air chamber (14) in the lower section of the main body (10). Suction motor (15) having radial and axial fans is disposed inside the air chamber (14). Air outlet filter (61), which comprises activated carbon and where the air is finally cleaned, is disposed in the opening disposed in the other side of the suction motor (15) of the air chamber (14) with respect to the range hood housing (12). Air outlet cover (60) having a castellated structure and allowing the air passage is disposed the air outlet filter (61).
When either the cooker (30) or the oven (50) disposed in the cooking appliance (1) is operated by using control panel (40), the actuator motor (13) runs and pushes the range hood (21) through the
range hood outlet (11) to the outside. When the range hood (20) reaches the highest position, the actuator motor (13) stops and the suction motor (15) creates the vacuum effect in the air chamber (14), range hood housing (12) and air duct (25), respectively. The air disposed on the cooker (30) enters into the range hood (20) through the air inlet (22) disposed in the upper section of the range hood (20) as seen in Figure - 3 with the created vacuum effect. The air passing through the oil filter (24) starts to advance in the air duct (25) by releasing from the oil and particles, inside the range hood. The air reaches to the range hood housing (12) after the air duct (25) and then to the air chamber (14). The air sucked by the suction motor (15) in the air chamber (14) is given to the other side and reaches to the air outlet filter (61) therefrom. After being cleaned in the air outlet filter (61), the air is discharged to the outer environment through the air outlet cover (60).
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, lamp (23) is disposed on the range hood (20) and provides lightening upper surface of the cooker (30).
In another preferred embodiment of the invention, range hood glass (22) is disposed on the range hood (20) and provides the inner section of the range hood (20) to be seen and presents an aesthetic appearance.
In an alternative embodiment of the invention, control panel (40) gives warnings in certain intervals and prompts to change the oil filter (24) and air outlet filter (61).
