Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à une enceinte cryogénique cylindrique (CB) destinée à être utilisée dans la séparation d'air. L'enceinte cryogénique (CB) contient une première colonne de distillation, une seconde colonne de distillation (AR, AR1) et une cuve de stockage cylindrique (S). La première colonne de distillation est une colonne double comprenant une colonne à basse pression (BP) et une colonne à plus haute pression (MP). La colonne à basse pression (BP) est disposée au-dessus de la colonne à plus haute pression (MP) et y est attenante. La colonne double a un diamètre maximal appelé premier diamètre et la seconde colonne de distillation (AR, AR1) a un second diamètre et est raccordée à la colonne à basse pression (BP) pour recevoir un courant enrichi en argon. La somme des sections transversales des première et seconde colonnes de distillation (AR, AR1) et de la cuve de stockage (S) est égale à au moins 40 % de la section transversale de l'enceinte cryogénique (CB).
