  • This disclosure relates to a control device for an internal combustion engine.
  • the amount of fuel required for combustion differs from that when a liquid fuel is used, and various techniques are described in consideration of the difference in the amount of fuel.
  • the injection amount of gaseous fuel is corrected according to the composition change of the gaseous fuel.
  • the fuel composition varies greatly. Due to the variation in the fuel composition, the amount of fuel required for each combustion varies. In this case, when the amount of inert gas components (impurities) in the gaseous fuel increases, the amount of fuel required for each combustion increases, and in high rotation and high load operation where a large amount of fuel must be injected in a short time. The air-fuel ratio becomes unintentionally lean. Therefore, there is a possibility that inconveniences such as deterioration of exhaust emission and decrease in drivability may occur.
