Abstract

The invention relates to a cover for a tent provided with an awning, said cover having: a lower edge, a pouch defining a space for housing the awning, an opening between the lower edge and the pouch, a door arranged so as to at least partially block said opening, and attachment means for attaching the cover to the tent.

PROVIDED WITH AN AWNING

Background of the invention

The present invention relates to the field of tents, and more particularly those which are provided with an awning, also called "cap". This awning protrudes from the roof of the tent.

Such an awning is most often placed above the entrance of the tent. Generally, the entrance of the tent extends in a plane slightly inclined with respect to the vertical. Also, the awning has the function of preventing rain from entering the tent when the entrance door of the tent is open.

Traditionally, this type of tent has a roof, forming the outer envelope of the tent, which is made of a textile material. Since the tent must be light in order to be easily transported, the thickness of the roof is generally low, which poses a number of problems.

In particular, the roof usually lets in heat. It is therefore common that the temperature inside the tent is very high during a sunny day, which is uncomfortable for those who wish to rest inside the tent during the day.

To remedy this problem, WO 2007/095409 proposes an outer fabric whose function is to reflect the thermal radiation emitted by the sun.

However, this type of outer fabric is not suitable for tents with an awning because there is a problem of tensioning and good maintenance of the outer fabric.

Object and summary of the invention

An object of the present invention is to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, by providing a covering cover for a tent with a canopy.

For this purpose, the invention relates to a covering cover comprising:

a lower edge;

a pocket defining a volume for housing the awning; an opening formed between the lower edge and the pocket;

a door arranged to close at least part of said opening; and

fastening means for fixing the covering cover to the tent.

To install the cover cover, we unfold the covering cover so that it covers the tent, we insert the awning in the pocket volume and we fix the covering cover to the tent.

The inventors have discovered that the fact that the awning is housed in the pocket of the cover cover contributes to the proper maintenance of the covering cover on the tent. This allows to obtain a correct positioning of the covering cover on the tent and thus facilitates the implementation of the cover cover. Also, the covering cover correctly conforms to the profile of the tent and is properly tensioned when attached to the tent via the fastening means.

In addition, the fact that the door is placed under the pocket allows easy access to the interior of the tent.

The fixing means preferably extend along the lower edge of the covering cover. The fixing means are configured to cooperate with the base of the tent. Still preferably, the fastening means are hooks configured to snap at the base of the tent.

Advantageously, the door has a closed position and comprises an upper side, the opening has an upper edge, and the door is dimensioned so that, in the closed position, a ventilation space is provided between the upper side of the door and the door. top edge of the opening.

This ventilation space allows air to circulate between the inside of the tent and the outside. When an interior chamber is present, the ventilation space also allows to ventilate the volume located between the inner chamber and the outer fabric of the tent. The ventilation space preferably has a height of between 1 cm and 10 cm, more preferably between 2 cm and 5 cm. This value range helps to ensure air circulation while avoiding the entry of light inside the tent. According to an advantageous variant, the ventilation space is obtained thanks to the fact that the length of the door is strictly less than the length of the opening. The ventilation space is therefore obtained by the fact that the door is slightly shorter than the opening.

In order to prevent rain from entering the tent via the ventilation space, advantageously, when the cover is mounted on the tent, the ventilation space is essentially in the pocket so as to be protected by the awning.

Preferably, the pocket has a lower peripheral edge, and the pocket and the door are arranged so that when the cover is mounted on the tent, the door being in the closed position, the lower peripheral edge of the pocket is approximately the same height as the upper edge of the door.

By "height" is meant here the distance measured vertically from the ground.

According to a preferred variant, the pocket comprises a lower panel having a lower edge along which is the lower peripheral edge. This bottom panel extends below the awning of the tent when the cover cover is mounted on the tent. In this variant, the aforementioned peripheral edge is constituted by the lower edge of the lower panel.

Still more preferably, the lower edge of the panel, and the upper side of the door are substantially parallel, preferably substantially horizontal.

The pocket also has an upper panel so that in this preferred embodiment, the volume of the pocket is defined in the upper part by the upper panel, and in the lower part by the lower panel. Preferably, the lower edge of the lower panel is free.

When the cover is mounted, the top panel is disposed above the canopy while the bottom panel extends in front of the canopy and / or below the canopy.

Advantageously, the covering cover has an inner face intended to be turned towards the tent, the door comprises a first closure means, the covering cover comprises a second closure means configured to cooperate with the first closure means to maintain the door in the closed position, and the second closure means is disposed on the inner face of the cover.

Such a configuration allows the user to easily close the door of the cover cover from inside the tent.

Preferably, the first closure means is located near a free lateral side of the door, while the second closure means is disposed near a free lateral edge of the opening. The free lateral edge of the opening is preferably that which extends along the length of the door. When the door of the covering cover is closed, it is understood that the free lateral side of the door extends substantially parallel to the free lateral edge of the opening.

The second closure means preferably extends parallel to the free lateral edge of the opening. According to a variant, the second closure means comprises two fasteners located at the longitudinal ends of the free lateral edge of the opening.

Still preferably, the second closure means comprises at least one hook-and-loop fastener Velcro attached to the inner face of the cover cover.

Advantageously, the covering cover according to the invention is further provided with orifices to allow the passage of accessories from the tent. These orifices preferably have the form of slots. For example, accessories are guy wires or fasteners attached to the roof of the tent.

According to an advantageous embodiment, the covering cover is opaque. Preferably, substantially the entire surface of the fabric constituting the covering cover is opaque. Preferably, the covering cover consists of an opacifying material.

Still more preferably, the covering cover is made of a textile material covered with at least one opacifying layer.

An interest is notably to improve the comfort of the user wishing to take a nap during the day. The tents of the prior art are generally consist of a material that allows a fraction of the ambient light to pass through. An interior light can be a nuisance, for example when the camper wants to take a nap in the middle of the day.

The use of the opaque covering cover according to the invention advantageously makes it possible to obtain the darkness inside the tent.

According to one variant, the opacifying layer comprises a PU coating. This provides an opaque cover cover that remains flexible and lightweight.

According to another variant, the cover cover consists of a material for reflecting the thermal radiation emitted by the sun, such as for example that described in WO 2007/095409

The invention further relates to a shelter comprising a tent provided with a canopy, and a covering cover according to the invention, the covering cover having the same patronage as the tent so as to cover substantially all the tent, the covering cover being fixed to the base of said tent by means of fixing, while the awning is housed in the pocket.

We understand that the awning protrudes from the roof of the tent.

The fact that the awning is housed in the pocket while the cover cover is attached to the base of the tent ensures both excellent retention of the covering cover on the tent and good tensioning.

Advantageously, the tent comprises an outer fabric and an inner chamber disposed under the outer fabric, the covering cover wrapping the outer fabric. We understand that the covering cover is placed on the outer canvas of the tent.

Advantageously, the tent comprises a base loop, and the fastening means of the covering cover are arranged according to the lower circumference of the covering cover and cooperate with said base loop to achieve the fixing of the covering cover to the tent.

Preferably, the fastening means comprise hooks which are configured to snap to the base loop. The hooks preferably extend along the lower periphery of the cover. According to a variant, the outer fabric of the tent is provided with ventilation zones and the covering cover has orifices coming opposite said ventilation zones when the covering cover is mounted on the tent.

In Figure 1, there is shown a tent 10 comprising an outer fabric 12 constituting the roof of said tent and having a lower base 11.

The tent 10 has an inlet 16 which, in this example, is closed and closed by a door 18.

The tent 10 comprises an awning 20, also called a cap, which projects from the roof 14 of the tent 10. As can be seen in FIG. 1, the entrance 16 of the tent 10 extends in a plane which is slightly inclined with respect to the vertical.

In this example, the tent 10 has an inner chamber (not shown in FIG. 1) which is housed under the outer fabric 12.

This tent is self-expanding type. To do this, it comprises a base loop 22 which extends around the perimeter of the base 11 of the tent 10.

Conventionally, the tent 10 further comprises an upper loop 28. It is specified that the base loop 22 and the upper loop 28 are geometric loops so that, without departing from the scope of the present invention, the loop of base 22 could be made up of lower portions of two loops as described in particular in US 5,337,772.

The tent 10 is also provided with accessories 24, 26, in this case shrouds 24 and fastening loops 26.

The shrouds 24 are attached to the roof of the tent and are intended to engage in stakes 25 planted in the ground. The fasteners 26 are in turn intended to facilitate the folding of the self-expanding tent by maintaining the loops in their folded state in the final phase of the folding operation of the tent.

In Figure 2, there is shown a cover cover 50 according to the present invention. This cover cover 50 is configured to fit on the tent 10 provided with the awning 20 described above.

In Figure 2, the cover cover 50 is illustrated in a configuration in which it is volume, to facilitate understanding of the structure of said cover. Of course, when not in use, the cover can be folded and stored in a small bag provided for this purpose.

The cover cover 50 comprises a flexible web 52, made of a textile material. The fabric 52 has an opening at its base. More specifically, the covering cover 50 has a lower edge 54 which borders the lower end of the fabric 52.

The covering cover 50 further comprises, according to an advantageous aspect of the invention, a pocket 56 which is integral with the fabric 52. As will be explained in more detail below, the pocket 56 defines a volume to accommodate the awning 20 of the tent 10. In other words, the pocket is in the form of a "pillowcase" in which will be inserted the awning 20 when the covering cover is mounted on the tent 10.

The covering cover 50 further comprises an opening

58 which is formed between the lower edge 54 and the pocket 56.

To close the opening, the covering cover 50 comprises a door 60 which, in this example, is arranged to partially seal the opening 58.

The covering cover 50 further comprises fastening means 62 which are attached to the fabric 50 extending along the lower edge 54. In this example, the fixing means 102 are hooks intended to be clipped onto the base loop 22 of tent 10.

Referring now to Figure 3, which illustrates the placement of the cover cover 50 on the tent 10, it is found that the door 60 has a closed position and includes an upper side 60a which extends substantially horizontally. The opening 58 has an upper edge 58a which also extends horizontally.

As can be seen in the detail view of FIG. 3A, the door is dimensioned so that, in the closed position, a ventilation space 64 is provided between the upper side 60a of the door 60 and the upper edge 58a of the door. opening 58. In this example, the ventilation space 64 has a height h which is in this example of the order of a few centimeters. Preferably the height h is between 1 cm and 10 cm to ensure air circulation while avoiding the entry of light in the tent.

It is therefore understood that, according to the invention, the length L1 of the door 60 is strictly less than the length L2 of the opening 58.

Referring now to FIG. 4, which illustrates a shelter 100 comprising the tent 10 provided with the awning 20 enveloped by the covering cover 50, it can be seen that the covering cover 50 has the same pattern as the tent so as to cover the entire surface of the tent. It is also noted that the covering cover 50 is fixed to the base of the tent 10 through the fastening means 62 while the awning 20 is housed in the pocket 56. Still referring to FIG. 4, it can be seen that when the covering cover 50 is mounted on the tent 10, the ventilation space 64 is located under the pocket 56 so as to be protected by the awning which is housed in said pocket. As a result, rain does not enter the tent through the ventilation space.

Referring again to FIG. 3A, it can be seen that the pocket 56 has a lower peripheral edge 56a, the pocket and the door being arranged so that, when the cover is mounted on the tent, the door being closed position, the lower peripheral edge 56a of the pocket 56 is substantially at the same height as the upper edge 60a of the door 60. In this example, the upper edge of the door is slightly below the lower peripheral edge of the poached.

Referring to Figures 2 and 4, it is found that the pocket 56 has an upper panel 56 'integral with the fabric 52, and a lower panel 56' integral with the upper panel and extending below the latter. upper panels 56 'and lower 56 "forms the pocket into which the awning 20 is inserted. The lower peripheral edge 56a is then situated in the lower part of the lower panel 56".

It is understood that the dimensions of the upper panel 56 'of the pocket 56 substantially correspond to the dimensions of the cap 20. The lower panel 56 "extends below the awning to prevent rain from entering through the space of ventilation.

Referring again to Figure 2, it is found that the covering cover 50 has an inner face 50a which is intended to be turned towards the tent, that is to say to the outer fabric of the tent. The cover cover also has an outer face 50b. The door 60 has a first closure means 70 which is arranged on the outer face 50b of the covering cover 50. In this example, the first closure means consists of two self-gripping strips 70 disposed at each end of the side. free side 61 of the door 60.

The cover cover 50 further comprises a second closure means 72 configured to cooperate with the first closure means to allow to keep the door in the closed position. The second closure means 72 is disposed on the inner face 50a of the cover cover. In this example, the second closure means is disposed at the ends of the free lateral edge 59 of the opening 58.

As can be understood from FIGS. 3 and 4, when the door is closed, the free lateral side 61 of the door 60 is located inside the cover. As mentioned earlier, this allows the user inside the tent to open and close the door of the cover from the inside of the tent easily.

As can be seen in FIG. 4, in order to allow the accessories of the tent to pass through the cover, that is to say the stays 24 and the fasteners 26, the covering cover is provided with orifices 80 arranged in the canvas.

According to an advantageous aspect of the invention, as schematically illustrated in FIG. 6, the fabric 52 of the covering cover 50 consists of an opacifying material. In this example, it is a textile material 52a covered with at least one opacifying layer 52b, the latter comprising a PU coating.

The opacifying layer 52b extends over substantially the entire surface of the cover cover so as to make the latter opaque.

Finally, the cover cover 50 comprises in this example loops 82, fixed on either side of the opening 60, which cooperate with stakes 27 planted in the ground in order to improve the maintenance and tensioning cover cover 50.

Claims

Cover cover (50) for a tent (10) provided with a canopy (20), said covering cover comprising:

a lower edge (54);

a pocket (56) defining a volume for housing the awning; an opening (58) between the lower edge (54) and the pocket (56);

a door (60) arranged to close at least part of said opening; and

fastening means (62) for attaching the cover to the tent.

Covering cover according to claim 1, characterized in that the door (60) has a closed position and comprises an upper side, in that the opening (58) has an upper edge (58a), and in that the door is dimensioned so that, in the closed position, a ventilation space (64) is provided between the upper side (60a) of the door (60) and the upper edge

(58a) of the opening (58).
