La présente invention concerne une âme (5) absorbante, comprenant au moins une première région (41) et une seconde région (42) dont les masses surfaciques diffèrent. La première région (41) présente une masse surfacique supérieure à celle de la seconde région (42). La première région (41) comprend une section (C) d'entrejambe et la seconde région (42) comprend une section (B) dorsale. La première région (41) comprend un groupe de sections (50) provoquant des plis, obtenu à partir de multiples sections (51, 52a, 52b) provoquant des plis en forme de bande qui s'étendent dans la direction longitudinale. Le groupe de sections (50) provoquant des plis est obtenu à partir d'une section (51) centrale provoquant des plis et d'une paire de sections (52a, 52b) latérales provoquant des plis, situées sur des deux côtés de la section (51) centrale provoquant des plis. Le groupe de sections (50) provoquant des plis est situé plus près de la section (C) d'entrejambe que des bords inférieurs (31A, 32A) du revêtement (3) extérieur sur la section (A) abdominale et ledit groupe de sections (50) provoquant des plis est absent de la section (B) dorsale.
