Abstract
Description
特に、自動車に配索するワイヤハーネスは多数本の電線が集束されて組み立てられており、回路数の増加、コネクタの大型化に伴い、多数本の電線の回路を識別する必要がある。そのため、多数の電線色が用いられ、同一色の地色に異なる色のストライプ、ドット等の模様入りもあり、これら多種類の電線の製造および管理にコストがかかる問題がある。
また、前記色相が異なるゴム栓を装着する電線の絶縁被覆に色は、形成材料の相違により若干相違する場合はあるが、基本的に黒色や灰色等の同一色としている。
即ち、自動車用に用いる前記電線は地色のみとしてストライプを無くし、かつ、異なる地色の色数は最大13色未満とし、これら電線に色の相違するゴム栓を装着する構成とすることができる。
前記防水ゴム栓は、電線端末でコネクタ接続用端子の絶縁被覆バレルによる加締め圧着部から電線の絶縁被覆の外周面にかけて密着して装着され、かつ、防水コネクタの各端子収容室に電線挿入口から挿入した状態で、端子収容室内の内面に密着して、外部からの浸水を防止するものである。
即ち、防水コネクタに接続する電線には従来からゴム栓が取り付けられているため、該ゴム栓を着色ゴム栓とするだけでよく、部品点数および取付作業の増加にならず、簡単に実施できる。
この場合、ゴム栓は非防水コネクタに接続する電線端末に装着される回路識別表示用のゴム栓であり、該ゴム栓は薄肉円筒状とし、該ゴム栓を前記非防水コネクタの端子収容室の内周面と隙間をあけて配置している。
このように、非防水コネクタにも回路識別用としてゴム栓を取り付けておくと、自動車に配索する全電線の色数を大幅に減少することができる。
図1に示す実施形態の複数本の電線1は自動車の配索されるワイヤハーネス2を構成する電線であり、これら電線1の端末に図3に示すように、コネクタ接続用の端子3を加締め圧着で接続し、該端子3を図4に示す防水コネクタ4に挿入係止している。該防水コネクタは自動車のエンジンルーム等の浸水領域に配置されるため、コネクタの端子収容室内への浸水防止を確実に図るコネクタである。
電線1a~1jからなる10本の電線は異なる回路に接続される電線であり、これら各電線1が挿入係止される端子収容室6a~6jは特定されており、本実施形態では、電線1aは端子収容室6a、1bは6b、~1jは6jと特定されている。
図3に示すように、まず、電線1の端末の絶縁被覆11を皮剥ぎして芯線10を露出させ、端子3の芯線バレル3b、絶縁被覆バレル3aを加締め圧着して接続する。
これら端子3を端末に接続した電線1のうち、防水コネクタ4に接続する10本の電線1a~1jに、防水と回路の識別表示を兼ねて、それぞれ色の相違する防水ゴム栓5a~5jを端子3と電線との境界部分に外嵌固定して装着する。図1(B)において、防水ゴム栓5a~5jの色の相違を斜線、ドット等の異なるパターンで示している。
例えば、A回路用の電線1aには赤色のゴム栓5aを装着し、B回路用の電線1bには青色のゴム栓5bを装着しておき、ゴム栓5aの色に基づいて、防水コネクタ4の10個の端子収容室6a~6jのうち、赤色のゴム栓5aは端子収容室6aに、青色のゴム栓5bは端子収容室6bに指示書の指示に従って挿入係止する。
一方、防水コネクタ4の電線挿入口60から外部で出ている防水ゴム栓5の端部5xは僅かであり、外観上で殆ど目立たないため、防水コネクタ4には黒色の電線1が接続されている外観を呈することになる。よって、従来の多色の電線を用いた場合に行っていた黒色等のシートで覆う必要はない。
該変形例では防水ゴム栓5の前側の薄肉とした小径部5sに、圧着端子30の絶縁被覆バレル30aを加締め圧着して固定している。なお、図中、30bは芯線バレル、30cは電気接触部である。
他の構成および作用は第1実施形態と同様であるため、説明を省略する。
第2実施形態は、複数本(14本)の電線1はすべて同一の黒色であり、これら電線1を多極の非防水コネクタ40(上下2段で各段7列の端子収容室を有する)に挿入係止しており、第1実施形態と同様に、各電線1にそれぞれ地色の相違するゴム栓50を外嵌している。
該ゴム栓50は、第1実施形態の防水ゴム栓と形状を相違させており、図6に示すように前後長さ方向が断面同一形状の薄肉の円筒形状とし、外周に突設するシールリブは設けていない。
該ゴム栓50は、図5の変形例と同様に、圧着端子30の絶縁被覆バレル30aでゴム栓50の外周面を加締め圧着し、該絶縁被覆バレル30bによる加締め部分から電線の絶縁被覆11の外周面にかけてゴム栓50を外嵌固定している。

- 1つのコネクタに接続する複数本の電線の絶縁被覆を同一色とし、該電線端末に接続されるコネクタ接続用の端子と該電線の絶縁被覆の境界部分にゴム栓を装着し、該ゴム栓に識別用の異なる着色を施していることを特徴とする識別表示付の電線。
- 前記ゴム栓は、成形材料であるエラストマーあるいはゴムに異なる顔料を配合したゴム組成物から成形して色を相違させ、または、同一材料で成形した前記ゴム栓に異なる色の塗料を塗布して形成している請求項1に記載の識別表示付の電線。
- 自動車用に用いる前記電線は地色のみとしてストライプを無くし、かつ、異なる地色の色数は最大13色未満とし、これら電線に色の相違する前記ゴム栓を装着している請求項1または請求項2に記載の識別表示付の電線。
- 前記ゴム栓は前記コネクタ接続用の圧着端子の絶縁被覆バレルで加締め圧着して前記電線に固着しており、前記コネクタへの電線接続状態で、該コネクタの端子収容室の挿入口から外部に前記ゴム栓の後側部が突出している請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の識別表示付の電線。
- 前記ゴム栓は防水コネクタに接続する電線端末に装着される防水用ゴム栓からなり、該ゴム栓に設けた環状突出部を前記防水コネクタの端子収容室の内周面に密着させている請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の識別表示付の電線。
- 前記ゴム栓は非防水コネクタに接続する電線端末に装着される回路識別表示用であり、該ゴム栓は薄肉円筒状とし、該ゴム栓を前記非防水コネクタの端子収容室の内周面と隙間をあけて配置している請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の識別表示付の電線。
