Abstract

The invention relates to a postnatal brassiere (1) for supporting the breasts of a mother after giving birth, comprising two breast-surrounding front parts (31, 32) for receiving a respective breast of the mother, a body piece (4) which is rigidly connected to the front parts (31, 32) and which can be arranged transversely around the upper body of the mother at the height of or below the breasts, and two supports (21, 22), each of which is rigidly connected to one of the front parts (31, 32) at one longitudinal end and to the body piece (4) at the other longitudinal end. The front parts (31, 32) are designed in a virtually triangular manner such that in a mounted position of the postnatal brassiere (1), each front part (31, 32) can be arranged such that the front part extends transversely from the support (21, 22), to which the part is connected, over the corresponding breast to below the other breast, wherein the two front parts (31, 32) at least partly cross. Often, they are also designed to allow a breastfeeding pad to be placed between the breast and the postpartum bra. At the same time childbed bra are to meet high hygiene requirements, inter alia, not to affect the natural odor of the mother. Ideally, therefore, childbed bras are clean and odorless.

To be able to ensure all this, the specially designed childbed bra are typically washed regularly, which can be relatively expensive. In addition, during the relatively short early-week bed, mothers need to have a plurality of puerperal bra to achieve ideal hygiene and comfort. The object of the following invention is therefore to propose a relatively inexpensive to produce childbed bra, which allows a hygienic, efficient and comfortable support of the breast during the early-week bed.

By the inventive childbed bra is made primarily from a disposable nonwoven, it can be made relatively inexpensive and disposed of after use or discarded. The introduction of the transverse elasticity can be done by inserting, for example, elastic threads into the nonwoven fabric and then thermally solidifying.
