Abstract
L'invention concerne une installation à cavitation de flux permettant de traiter du pétrole brut lourd et visqueux afin de détruire les composés de poids moléculaire élevé et d'obtenir des composés plus petits et plus simples, ce qui permet de réduire jusqu'à 10 fois la viscosité du pétrole et d'augmenter la production de produits pétroliers légers jusqu'à 70 pourcent. L'installation comprend un réservoir à niveau constant avec une valve flottante pour maintenir le niveau de l'endroit où arrive le pétrole brut provenant d'un réservoir de stockage temporaire. Le pétrole pompé par un tube de siphonnage vertical commence à « bouillir » après raréfaction en libérant dans la colonne de flux des bulles de gaz (essence) suite à la saturation de vapeurs dans un vide et à une température donnés. En entrant dans une pompe qui augmente la pression, les bulles commencent à imploser en brisant par chocs hydrauliques les composés de poids moléculaire élevé. Pour éviter l'arrachage du siphon sous l'effet des bulles qui se sont accumulées, on installe au-dessus du tube de siphonbage un clapet à air depuis lequel, grâce à une pompe à vide, on pompe les vapeurs d'essence qui passent par un évaporateur d'une machine de réfrigération et qui sont condensées et récupérées dans un récipient en vue de leur utilisation.
