- the MTC terminal can be used in, for example, an electric meter, a gas meter, a vending machine, a vehicle, and other industrial equipment.
- the MTC terminal can be used in places where propagation loss is very large, such as in an indoor control box.
- LTE-A system in order to promote the use of the MTC terminal in an indoor environment, expansion of the coverage of the MTC terminal is being studied.
- Coverage expansion is not required for all MTC terminals, but is required for some MTC terminals such as terminals in an indoor environment and having a large propagation loss. Also, even in an MTC terminal that needs to expand coverage, the maximum amount of improvement that is actually required varies greatly depending on the cell arrangement and the assumed MTC service.
- the present invention has been made in view of such a point, and an object thereof is to provide a radio communication terminal, a radio base station, and a radio communication method capable of performing PRACH transmission in consideration of coverage expansion.
- a wireless communication terminal of the present invention is a wireless communication terminal to which coverage expansion is applied, and has a transmission unit that transmits a random access preamble using wireless resources determined for the wireless communication terminal to which coverage expansion is applied.
- the radio resource defined for the radio communication terminal to which the coverage extension is applied is the radio resource defined for the radio communication terminal to which the coverage extension is not applied, which is one of a time band, a frequency band, a sequence, or its The combination is different.
- PRACH transmission can be performed in consideration of coverage expansion.
- FIG. 1A is a diagram illustrating collision type random access
- FIG. 1B is a diagram illustrating non-collision type random access. It is a figure explaining a collision type random access procedure. It is a figure which shows the structure of RA preamble.
- a 1st aspect it is a figure explaining the example in the case of limiting the transmission start timing of PRACH about an MTC terminal.
- a 1st aspect it is a figure explaining the example in the case of limiting the transmission start timing and frequency of PRACH about an MTC terminal.
- a terminal whose coverage is to be expanded is referred to as an MTC terminal or an MTC UE, and other terminals are referred to as a Legacy UE.
- MTC terminal or MTC UE a terminal whose coverage is to be expanded
- Legacy UE other terminals
- the MTC terminal and the legacy UE are not distinguished from each other, they are collectively referred to as a radio communication terminal UE.
- Random access is performed when the radio communication terminal UE establishes a connection with the radio base station eNodeB (eNB) or performs resynchronization at the time of transmission or handover.
- eNB radio base station
- Random access control such as initial connection
- the radio communication terminal UE first transmits an RA preamble.
- a channel for transmitting an RA preamble first in random access is called a physical random access channel (PRACH).
- PRACH physical random access channel
- random access can be divided into two types: collision type and non-collision type.
- the radio communication terminal UE transmits a preamble selected at random from a plurality of RA preambles (contention preambles) prepared in the cell using the PRACH.
- collision may occur by using the same RA preamble between the radio communication terminals UE.
- the radio communication terminal UE transmits a UE-specific RA preamble (dedicated preamble) allocated from the network in advance using the PRACH.
- a UE-specific RA preamble (dedicated preamble) allocated from the network in advance using the PRACH.
- FIG. 2 shows an outline of collision type random access.
- the radio communication terminal UE transmits a preamble randomly selected from the RA preamble prepared in the cell as a message 1 on the PRACH.
- the radio base station eNB detects the RA preamble, the radio base station eNB transmits an RA response as response information as the message 2.
- the radio communication terminal UE that has received the RA response transmits a connection request signal (RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection request) as a message 3.
- RRC Radio Resource Control
- the radio communication terminal UE whose UE ID of its own terminal is included in the message 4 completes the random access process and establishes a connection. On the other hand, when the UE ID of the terminal itself is not included, it is considered that the random access has failed, and the process is performed again from the RA preamble transmission.
- the inventors of the present invention have found a PRACH transmission method in consideration of coverage expansion by improving the messages 1 and 2 in such a random access procedure. Specifically, it has been found that an implicit notification of coverage-related information to the radio base station eNB is realized by limiting the radio resource (PRACH location) for transmitting the PRACH to the message 1. It was. Further, it has been found that the signal detection process in the radio communication terminal UE can be simplified by limiting the transmission timing of the RA response to the message 2.
- Repetition is a technique for improving the detection probability by repeatedly transmitting the RA preamble.
- the new signal is a technique such as using a long sequence for the preamble or reducing a cyclic prefix (CP).
- CP cyclic prefix
- the CP of a signal to be repeatedly transmitted may be limited to only the first symbol.
- Frequency hopping is a technique for obtaining frequency diversity gain by hopping a resource block (RB) to be transmitted.
- Relaxed requirement is a technology that considers that coverage has been expanded by relaxing the detection probability requirement. That is, this request relaxation technique relies on retransmission of the RA preamble.
- the radio base station eNB needs to try to detect all RA preambles that can be transmitted by the radio communication terminal UE. Therefore, coverage expansion may increase the detection complexity (Complexity) of the radio base station eNB.
- the RA preamble is a signal that the radio communication terminal UE first transmits to the radio base station eNB at the time of initial access, and the radio base station eNB strictly determines what signal the radio communication terminal UE transmits. It is because you cannot know. In particular, when a plurality of repetition numbers are allowed, there is a possibility that a mismatch occurs between the number of repetitions transmitted by the radio communication terminal UE and the number of repetitions detected by the radio base station eNB.
- the detection complexity of the radio communication terminal UE may increase due to the increase in the arbitraryness of the reception timing and the influence of the number of repetitions for the RA response.
- the repeated signal since there is a possibility that the repeated signal may not fit within the RA response reception interval (reception window), it is necessary to change the definition of the reception interval (reception window).
- the parameter setting for the subsequent signal coverage expansion such as the RA response can be made efficient.
- An example of parameter setting in this case is the number of repetitions.
- the number of repetitions of the RA preamble is determined based on uplink (UL) coverage. Therefore, when notifying the coverage of the terminal UE by the number of repetitions, there is uncertainty for the number of reception antennas of the terminal UE in estimating the downlink (DL) coverage. Therefore, it is preferable that the terminal UE notifies the radio base station eNB of the number of reception antennas of the terminal UE.
- the radio communication terminal UE can notify the radio base station eNB of either coverage-related information, UE category or UE capability-related information, or a combination thereof by transmitting an RA preamble.
- information set such information that the radio communication terminal UE can notify to the radio base station eNB is also referred to as an “information set”.
- the information related to coverage in the information set includes, for example, information on DL coverage and UL coverage.
- the DL coverage information includes information on the number of UE reception antennas when one reception antenna is introduced.
- the UL coverage information includes information on the number of PRACH repetitions.
- Information related to the UE category or UE capability in the information set includes information on the UE category, information on tolerance to delay, and information on presence / absence of downlink bandwidth limitation. Tolerance to delay means whether or not coverage enhancement is possible.
- the radio base station eNB knows these pieces of information, and can estimate the RA response transmission method (including coverage expansion) that can be received by the radio communication terminal UE.
- FIG. 3 shows the structure of the RA preamble. As shown in FIG. 3, PRACH is allocated to the RA preamble as an uplink channel radio resource.
- PRACH uses 6RB bandwidth.
- Information on the PRACH is notified as broadcast information (SIB: System Information Block) or an RRC message.
- SIB System Information Block
- the location of the PRACH frequency direction resource is specified by PRACH Frequency Offset.
- the position of the PRACH frequency direction resource can be transmitted in multiple (up to 6 patterns) 6RBs by a combination of UL / DL configuration and PRACH configuration.
- the location of the PRACH resource in the time direction is specified by the PRACH configuration index.
- the RA preamble is transmitted in the subframe specified by the PRACH configuration index.
- a 1st aspect demonstrates the case where the resource which transmits PRACH is limited with respect to the message 1 in a random access procedure.
- a transmission resource (PRACH location) for PRACH that is different from that of the Legacy UE is specified by any one of time zone, frequency band, series, or a combination thereof.
- the transmission start timing of PRACH may include both or one of the system frame number and the subframe number.
- the PRACH transmission start timing may be provided with an interval equal to or greater than the system frame number (10 or more).
- FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an example in which the transmission start timing of PRACH is limited for MTC terminals.
- the RA preambles of the Legacy UE and the MTC terminal are the same RB.
- the vertical broken line indicates the RA preamble transmission start timing determined by the PRACH configuration index.
- a horizontal arrow indicates the number of repetitions of the RA preamble, and a difference in arrow length indicates a difference in the number of repetitions. Multiple arrows indicate that multiple candidates for the number of repetitions are defined.
- solid arrows indicate the number of repetitions selected from a plurality of candidates.
- the transmission start timing of the RA preamble can be determined for the MTC terminal.
- the transmission start timing of the RA preamble may be determined for the MTC terminal, and a different transmission start timing may be set for each number of repetitions of the RA preamble.
- the transmission start timing of the RA preamble may be determined for the MTC terminal, and different transmission start timing may be set for each number of reception antennas of the MTC terminal.
- a part of the information set can be notified implicitly by determining the transmission start timing of the PRACH for the MTC terminal. For example, in the example illustrated in FIG. 4B, the number of repetitions of the RA preamble can be notified implicitly. In the example shown in FIG. 4C, the number of reception antennas of the MTC terminal can be notified implicitly.
- the transmission start timing of PRACH is a method of linking to PRACH configuration index, a method of notifying by MIB (Management Information Base) / SIB, a method of linking to RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power), and a method of linking to UE category / capability. It is determined by either or a combination thereof.
- An RA preamble to which coverage extension is applied is transmitted using a frequency different from that of the existing RA preamble.
- the PRACH may be transmitted using a fixed resource, or may be transmitted using a hopping pattern determined in advance or notified by broadcast information.
- FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating an example in which the transmission start timing and frequency of PRACH are limited for MTC terminals.
- the RA preamble between the Legacy UE and the MTC terminal is another RB.
- the vertical dashed line indicates the RA preamble transmission start timing defined by the PRACH configuration index.
- the horizontal arrow indicates the number of repetitions of the RA preamble, and the difference in the length of the arrow indicates the difference in the number of repetitions. Multiple arrows indicate that multiple candidates for the number of repetitions are defined.
- solid arrows indicate the number of repetitions selected from a plurality of candidates.
- the transmission start timing and frequency of the RA preamble can be determined for the MTC terminal.
- the transmission start timing and frequency of the RA preamble may be determined for the MTC terminal, and different transmission start timing may be set for each number of reception antennas of the MTC terminal.
- the transmission start timing and frequency of the RA preamble may be determined for the MTC terminal, and different frequencies may be set for each number of reception antennas of the MTC terminal.
- a part of the information set can be notified implicitly by determining the transmission start timing and frequency of the PRACH for the MTC terminal. For example, in the example shown in FIGS. 5B and 5C, the number of reception antennas of the MTC terminal can be notified implicitly.
- the frequency of the transmission resource for PRACH is linked to the PRACH configuration index, linked to MIB (Management Information Base) / SIB, linked to RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power), linked to UE category / capability. Determined by any method or combination thereof.
- the PUSCH may be transmitted using a PRACH resource for an MTC terminal, or may be transmitted using a resource dedicated for PRACH.
- An RA preamble sequence may be allocated for the MTC terminal.
- the sequence assignment is notified by broadcast information or set in advance.
- the sequence allocated for the MTC terminal may be further divided to notify part of the information set implicitly.
- the group A (or group B) sequence shown in FIG. 6 may be dedicated to the MTC terminal. That is, one of the subsets defined in the random access preamble sequence may be allocated exclusively for the MTC terminal. In this case, the group dedicated to the MTC terminal is not selected as the Legacy UE.
- An overlapping sequence may be assigned to existing groups A and B for the MTC terminal.
- the radio base station eNB tries to receive all possible repetition patterns. Therefore, depending on the method for limiting the transmission timing and bandwidth, there is a possibility that the same RA preamble is detected with a plurality of repetition rates. For example, when the possible number of repetitions is determined to be ⁇ 10, 20, 50 ⁇ , the MTC terminal transmits with the repetition number ⁇ 50 ⁇ , and the radio base station eNB uses the repetition number ⁇ 20, 50 ⁇ . It may be detectable.
- the shortest or longest repetition number is determined to be used for determination of subsequent coverage enhancement parameters (Coverage enhancement parameter, Coverage improvement parameter) be able to.
- the determined parameter can be notified by an RA response.
- the MTC terminal may transmit the RA preamble by applying a predetermined number of repetitions based on RSRP or the like. Further, the MTC terminal may attempt to receive an RA response in parallel with the transmission of the RA preamble, and transmit the RA preamble until the RA response can be received or the maximum number of repetitions is reached.
- the radio base station eNB can determine a parameter for coverage extension to be applied to the RA response, for example, the number of repetitions, by using a part or all of the information set notified from the MTC terminal. It may be determined in advance how the parameters are determined using a part or all of the information set. Thereby, the MTC terminal can estimate the parameter of coverage expansion applied to the RA response.
- the radio base station eNB transmits an RA response as a message 2 to the radio communication terminal UE.
- the radio base station eNB (1) received RA preamble index, (2) TC-RNTI (Temporary Cell-Radio Network Temporary Identifier), (3) TA (Timing Advance) command, (4) Radio The communication terminal UE notifies the wireless communication terminal UE of four types of information on the UL scheduling grant for transmitting the message 3.
- the radio base station eNB transmits the above four types of information using the PDSCH included in the MAC PDU (Protocol Data Unit).
- ⁇ HARQ Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request
- the wireless communication terminal UE may not transmit an ACK at the correct timing and may interfere with uplink control signals from other wireless communication terminals UE. .
- the radio communication terminal UE monitors the PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel) from the radio base station eNB, and masks the RNTI of its own terminal in the CRC (Cyclic Redundant Check) part.
- the masking may be, for example, an exclusive OR (XOR) operation.
- the radio terminal apparatus UE performs a CRC check with the RNTI of the own terminal, and recognizes that the resource information is addressed to the own terminal if the result is normal.
- RA-RNTI Random Access-RNTI
- the RA-RNTI is determined by the subframe number for transmitting the RA preamble.
- the radio communication terminal UE masks RA-RNTI on the PDCCH of message 2.
- TC-RNTI Temporal Cell-RNTI
- the TC-RNTI is notified by the message 2 from the radio base station eNB to the radio communication terminal UE.
- the radio communication terminal UE masks TC-RNTI on the PDCCH of message 4.
- C-RNTI Cell-RNTI
- the TC-RNTI is directly used as the C-RNTI.
- the radio communication terminal UE masks the C-RNTI on the PDCCH in data transmission / reception after the random access procedure.
- FIG. 7 is a diagram for explaining the transmission timing of the RA response.
- the radio base station eNB that has received the RA preamble is stipulated to transmit an RA response within a predetermined transmission interval (transmission window), that is, ⁇ 3 to 12 ⁇ in FIG.
- FIG. 8 is a diagram illustrating an example in which the RA response transmission timing is limited for MTC terminals.
- the RA response is transmitted from the radio base station eNB.
- the vertical broken line indicates the transmission timing of the RA response.
- the horizontal arrow indicates the number of repetitions of the RA preamble or RA response, and the difference in the length of the arrow indicates the difference in the number of repetitions. Multiple arrows indicate that multiple candidates for the number of repetitions are defined.
- solid arrows indicate the number of repetitions selected from a plurality of candidates.
- the transmission timing of the RA response is predetermined. These transmission timings are predetermined timings within the time window shown in FIG. After detecting the RA preamble, the radio base station eNB does not immediately transmit the RA response within the time window shown in FIG. 7, but transmits it at the closest timing among the predetermined timings.
- the MTC terminal may perform the RA response detection process only at a predetermined RA response transmission timing. Therefore, the signal detection process in the MTC terminal can be simplified.
- the transmission timing of the RA response may be determined for each number of repetitions of the RA response.
- the number of RA response repetitions x, y, z, different RA response transmission timings are defined.
- a plurality of patterns of RA response transmission timing may be defined, or only one pattern may be defined.
- RA-RNTI may reflect the presence / absence of coverage expansion, the number of repetitions of RA preamble detected by the radio base station eNB, or a radio resource transmitting the PRACH, or a combination thereof.
- the RA-RNTI when information on the number of repetitions of the RA preamble is reflected in the RA-RNTI, the RA-RNTI can be obtained by the following equation (1).
- RA-RNTI 1 + t_id + 10 ⁇ f_id + 60 ⁇ r_id (1)
- the RA-RNTI when the information on the resource for transmitting the PRACH is reflected on the RA-RNTI, the RA-RNTI can be obtained by the following equation (2).
- RA-RNTI 1 + t_id + 10 ⁇ f_id + 60 ⁇ f_id2
- the transmission timing of the RA response may be determined for the MTC terminal, and the number of repetitions of the RA preamble detected by the radio base station eNB may be reflected in the RA-RNTI.
- RA preamble sequence collision occurs between MTC terminal # 1 and MTC terminal # 2.
- the radio base station eNB can detect only the RA preamble transmitted by the MTC terminal # 2. In this case, the radio base station eNB transmits the RA response at the RA response transmission timing determined for the MTC terminal. Further, the RA-RNTI reflects the number of repetitions of the RA preamble of MTC terminal # 2 detected by the radio base station eNB.
- MTC terminals # 1 and # 2 each detect an RA response. In this case, since RA-RNTI does not match in MTC terminal # 1, MTC terminal # 1 determines that this RA response is not a response addressed to itself. Since the RA-RNTI matches in MTC terminal # 2, MTC terminal # 2 determines that this RA response is a response addressed to itself.
- the probability that the MTC terminal can detect the collision of the RA response is improved.
- the probability that the MTC terminal can detect the RA response addressed to itself is improved.
- Information on the presence / absence of coverage expansion, the number of repetitions of RA preamble detected by the radio base station eNB, and the radio resources transmitting the PRACH, or a combination thereof, may be notified by RRC signaling using an RA response.
- the timing for transmitting the RA response defined for the MTC terminal may be the same as the timing for transmitting the PDCCH and PDSCH, or may be different timing.
- the timing for transmitting the RA response determined for the MTC terminal may be notified by broadcast information.
- the parts that operate in common with PDCCH and PDSCH conform to PDCCH and PDSCH.

Abstract
Description
(1)RA-RNTI(Random Access-RNTI)
RA-RNTIは、RAプリアンブルを送信するサブフレーム番号により決定する。無線通信端末UEは、メッセージ2のPDCCHに、RA-RNTIをマスキングする。
(2)TC-RNTI(Temporary Cell-RNTI)
TC-RNTIは、メッセージ2により、無線基地局eNBから無線通信端末UEに通知される。無線通信端末UEは、メッセージ4のPDCCHに、TC-RNTIをマスキングする。
(3)C-RNTI(Cell-RNTI)
