Description

显示面板、 显示装置及显示面板的制作方法 技术领域
本发明的实施例涉及一种显示面板、 显示装置及显示面板的制作方法。 背景技术
现有的显示面板大多包括两个基板: 第一基板和第二基板, 两基板四周 通过封框胶封框形成显示面板。例如有机发光二极管(Organic Light-Emitting Diode, OLED )显示面板中, 第一基板为 OLED阵列基板, 第二基板为保护 用的玻璃基板,两基板四周通过封框胶封框后将 OLED阵列密封在两基板间。 封框胶除了将两基板粘在一起外, 另一个作用是使显示面板侧向具有隔水隔 氧性。 但由于封框胶这种材质本身隔水隔氧性较差, 要减小显示面板侧向的 水、 氧穿透率, 提高显示面板的寿命, 就需要加大封框胶的宽度。
图 1为现有的 OLED显示面板示意图, 该 OLED显示面板包括: 包括由 若干 OLED 110形成像素阵列的 OLED阵列基板 120、 玻璃基板 130及四周 的封框胶 140。 可看出封框胶 140的宽度 W 较大, 大约在 2mm ~ 3mm。
虽然增大封框胶的宽度在一定程度上阻隔了水、 氧的透过, 但由于封框 胶材料本身隔水隔氧性较差的缺陷, 长时间使用后仍会有水、 氧从其透过, 因此该封框胶材料本身无法很好地隔水隔氧。 同时上述封框胶的使用方式也 使得显示面板的边框宽度增加, 无法制作出时下流行的窄边框显示面板。 发明内容
本发明的一个方面提供了一种显示面板, 包括: 由封框胶封框的第一基 板和第二基板, 所述封框胶外侧还形成有无机材料薄膜。
例如, 在该显示面板中, 所述无机材料薄膜可为金属氧化物薄膜、 硅的 氧化物薄膜和硅的氮化物薄膜中之一的单层薄膜。
例如, 在该显示面板中, 所述无机材料薄膜可为金属氧化物薄膜、 硅的 氧化物薄膜和硅的氮化物薄膜中至少两种的多层薄膜。
例如, 在该显示面板中, 所述金属氧化物薄膜可为 A1203薄膜。 例如, 在该显示面板中, 所述封框胶的宽度不超过 lmm。
例如, 在该显示面板中, 所述无机材料薄膜的宽度为不超过 10μηι。 本发明的另一方面还提供了一种显示面板制作方法, 包括: 提供第一基 板和第二基板, 用封框胶将所述第一基板和第二基板封框, 封框后在所述封 框胶的外侧形成无机材料薄膜。

为使本发明实施例的目的、 技术方案和优点更加清楚, 下面将结合本发 明实施例的附图,对本发明实施例的技术方案进行清楚、 完整地描述。显然, 所描述的实施例是本发明的一部分实施例, 而不是全部的实施例。 基于所描 述的本发明的实施例, 本领域普通技术人员在无需创造性劳动的前提下所获 得的所有其他实施例, 都属于本发明保护的范围。
如图 2所示, 本发明实施例的显示面板, 包括: 由封框胶 240封框的第 一基板 220和第二基板 230。 以 OLED显示面板为例(但不限于 OLED面板, 也可以是液晶面板 ) ,第一基板 220为 OLED阵列基板,其包括由 OLED 210 形成的像素阵列, 第二基板 230为玻璃基板, 两基板四周通过封框胶 240封 框后将 OLED阵列密封在两基板间。 为了使显示面板侧向保持较好的隔水隔 氧性, 本实施例中在所述封框胶 240外侧还形成有一层无机材料薄膜 250。 该无机材料薄膜 250同样被夹持在第一基板 220和第二基板 230之间, 并且 从四周包围封框胶 240以将封框胶 240与外界大气环境相隔绝。
本实施例中, 无机材料薄膜 250可以为金属氧化物薄膜、 硅的氧化物薄 膜或硅的氮化物薄膜。 由于铝(A1 )具有易被氧化的化学特性, 而且 A1203 具有极好的隔水隔氧性, 优选地, 金属氧化物薄膜为 A1203薄膜。
进一步地, 为了到达更好地隔水隔氧性, 还可以在封框胶 240外侧形成 多层无机材料薄膜。如图 3所示,封框胶 240外侧形成有两层无机材料薄膜: 第一无机材料薄膜 260及在其外侧形成的第二无机材料薄膜 270。 第一无机 材料薄膜 260和第二无机材料薄膜 270可分别由金属氧化物薄膜、 硅的氧化 物薄膜或硅的氮化物薄膜中不同的材料形成。 第一无机材料薄膜 260和第二 无机材料薄膜 270同样被夹持在第一基板 220和第二基板 230之间, 并且从 四周包围封框胶 240以将封框胶 240与外界大气环境相隔绝。
本实施例的显示面板的封框胶 240外侧形成有无机材料薄膜 250, 该无 机材料薄膜 250本身具有更好的隔水隔氧性, 因此使得显示面板侧向具有更 好的隔水隔氧性。
由于无机材料薄膜 250相对于封框胶 240在相同厚度下隔水隔氧性远好 于封框胶, 因此, 封框胶 240的宽度可以大大减小。 在保证封框胶 240的宽 度能让上下板玻璃能达到足够黏合强度的条件下, 宽度例如可以不超过 lmm。 无机材料薄膜 250的厚度可以薄至 ΙΟμηι以下。 因此, 本发明实施例 的封框胶的宽度与无机材料薄膜的宽度之和也远小于如图 1所示的现有封框 胶的宽度, 从而在保持较好的隔水隔氧性的情况下, 减小显示面板的边框宽 度, 实现窄边框显示面板。
如图 2所示, 其封框胶 240的宽度与无机材料薄膜 250的宽度之和 W1 也远小于如图 1所示的现有封框胶的宽度; 又如图 3所示, 其封框胶 240的 宽度、 第一无机材料薄膜 260与第二无机材料薄膜 270的宽度之和 W2也远 小于如图 1所示的现有封框胶的宽度。
本发明的实施例还提供了一种显示面板制作方法, 包括: 制作第一基板 和第二基板, 用封框胶将所述第一基板和第二基板封框, 封框后在所述封框 胶的外侧形成无机材料薄膜。 该第一和第二基板也可为事先制备的基板。 该 无机材料薄膜可以为金属氧化物薄膜、 硅的氧化物薄膜和硅的氮化物薄膜中 之一的单层薄膜, 或为金属氧化物薄膜、 硅的氧化物薄膜和硅的氮化物薄膜 中至少两种的多层薄膜。
本实施例中, 在封框胶的外侧形成无机材料薄膜的步骤可以采用原子层 沉积法(ALD )在封框胶的外侧沉积无机材料薄膜。 由于 A1203能够方便地 采用 ALD制成, 因此以下以形成 A1203薄膜为例进行描述。
首先, 将封框胶封装好的显示面板置入 ALD腔室中, 分别通入三曱基 铝(tri-methyl aluminum, TMA ) , 水等反应物进行 ALD成膜工艺, 逐层进 行原子层堆积成 A1203薄膜。 如果为多层薄膜, 可以在沉积完 A1203薄膜之 后,再通入其它反应气体, 例如: 沉积 Zr02 (通入 ZrCl4和水) 。
本实施例中, 在封框胶的外侧形成无机材料薄膜的步骤还可以采用化学 气相沉积法( CVD )在封框胶的外侧沉积无机材料薄膜。 以形成 SiNx薄膜为 例, 首先将封框胶封装好的显示面板置入 CVD腔室中分别通入 Si¾, NH3 等反应物进行 CVD成膜工艺, 以形成 SiNx薄膜。 如果为多层薄膜, 可以在 沉积完 SiNx之后,再通入其它反应气体,例如沉积 SiONx(通入 Si¾和 N20 )。
由于是在封框胶的外侧(封框胶通常位于显示面板侧面的间隙中 )成膜, ALD在侧向成膜相对于 CVD适用于深入间隙的情况, 本实施例优选采用 ALD方式形成无机材料薄膜。
本发明实施例还提供一种采用上述显示面板的显示装置, 该显示装置可 以为: 液晶面板、 电子纸、 OLED面板、 手机、 平板电脑、 电视机、 显示器、 笔记本电脑、 数码相框、 导航仪等任何具有显示功能的产品或部件。

I、 一种显示面板, 包括: 由封框胶封框的第一基板和第二基板, 其中, 所述封框胶外侧还形成有无机材料薄膜。
2、如权利要求 1所述的显示面板, 其中, 所述无机材料薄膜为金属氧化 物薄膜、 硅的氧化物薄膜和硅的氮化物薄膜中之一的单层薄膜。
3、如权利要求 1所述的显示面板, 其中, 所述无机材料薄膜为金属氧化 物薄膜、 硅的氧化物薄膜和硅的氮化物薄膜中至少两种的多层薄膜。
4、 如权利要求 2或 3所述的显示面板, 其中, 所述金属氧化物薄膜为 A1203薄膜。
5、 如权利要求 1-4任一所述的显示面板, 其中, 所述封框胶的宽度不超 过 lmm。
6、 如权利要求 1-5任一所述的显示面板, 其中, 所述无机材料薄膜的宽 度为不超过 10μηι。
7、 一种显示面板制作方法, 包括:
提供第一基板和第二基板,
用封框胶将所述第一基板和第二基板封框,
封框后在所述封框胶的外侧形成无机材料薄膜。
8、如权利要求 7所述的显示面板制作方法, 其中, 通过原子层沉积法在 所述封框胶的外侧沉积无机材料薄膜。
9、如权利要求 7所述的显示面板制作方法, 其中, 通过化学气相沉积法 在所述封框胶的外侧沉积无机材料薄膜。
10、 如权利要求 7-9任一所述的显示面板制作方法, 其中, 所述无机材 料薄膜为金属氧化物薄膜、 硅的氧化物薄膜和硅的氮化物薄膜中之一的单层 薄膜; 或为金属氧化物薄膜、 硅的氧化物薄膜和硅的氮化物薄膜中至少两种 的多层薄膜。
