- 스마트폰으로서,하우징과 하우징 내에 내장된 근거리 무선통신 안테나(Near Field Communication ("NFC") Antenna)를 포함하며,상기 하우징은 스마트폰의 뒷면을 구성하는 뒷덮개를 포함하되,상기 뒷덮개는도전성의 제1 금속판 부분과,제1 금속판 부분으로부터 이격된 도전성의 제2 금속판 부분과,제1 금속판 부분 및 제2 금속판 부분 사이에 위치하는 비도전성(electrically non-conductive) 커버 부분을 포함하며, 상기 제1 금속판 부분은 제1 엣지(edge)를 포함하고, 제2 금속판 부분은 제1 엣지와 마주보는 제2 엣지를 포함하며, 비도전성 커버 부분이 제1 엣지와 제2 엣지 사이를 연결하며,근거리 무선통신 안테나는판형상의 자성코어와, 와이어가 루프 형으로 다수 회 감긴 안테나 코일(antenna coil)을 포함하되,자성코어는 제1 면과, 제1 면과는 반대방향을 향하는 제2 면과, 제1 면과 제2 면을 연결하는 일 측면을 포함하며,안테나 코일은자성 코어의 제1 면 위에 놓이는 제1 부분과,자성 코어의 제2 면 위에 놓이는 제2 부분과,자성 코어의 상기 측면 위에 놓이며 제1 부분과 제2 부분을 연결하는 연결부를 포함하고, 상기 제1 부분, 제2 부분, 연결부가 이어져 루프를 형성하고,상기 제1 부분은 자성코어의 상기 측면에 평행인 가로방향(longitudinal direction)을 따라 연장되는 제1 가로방향 직선부를 포함하며, 제1 가로방향 직선부는 가로방향을 따라 연장되며 서로 평행으로 배열된 다수의 라인 가닥을 포함하고, 상기 제1 가로방향 직선부의 라인 가닥들 중 적어도 일부는, 스마트폰의 상기 뒷면에 대하여 수직인 방향으로 보았을 때, 자성코어와 겹치지 않으며,상기 근거리 무선통신 안테나는 상기 자성코어의 제1 면이 상기 뒷덮개를 향하도록 위치하고,스마트폰의 상기 뒷면에 대하여 수직인 방향으로 보았을 때, 제1 가로 방향 직선부의 라인 가닥들 중 적어도 일부는 제1 엣지와 제2 엣지 사이에 위치하여 제1 금속판 부분 또는 제2 금속판 부분과 겹치지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는 스마트폰.
- 제1 항에 따른 스마트폰으로서, 안테나 코일의 상기 제2 부분은 자성코어의 상기 측면에 평행인 가로방향을 따라 연장되는 제2 가로방향 직선부를 포함하며, 제2 가로방향 직선부는 가로방향을 따라 연장되며 서로 평행으로 배열된 다수의 라인 가닥을 포함하고, 스마트폰의 상기 뒷면에 대하여 수직인 방향으로 보았을 때, 코일의 상기 제2 가로방향 직선부는 상기 제1 가로방향 직선부와 겹치는 부분이 없도록 이격되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 스마트폰.
- 제2 항에 따른 스마트폰으로서, 자성코어는 상기 측면과 반대방향을 향하는 다른 측면을 구비하며, 상기 다른 측면은, 스마트폰의 상기 뒷면에 대하여 수직인 방향으로 보았을 때, 코일의 제1 가로방향 직선부와 제2 가로방향 직선부 사이에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 스마트폰.
- 제1 항에 따른 스마트폰으로서, 안테나 코일의 상기 제2 부분은 자성코어의 상기 측면에 평행인 가로방향을 따라 연장되는 제2 가로방향 직선부를 포함하며, 제2 가로방향 직선부는 가로방향을 따라 연장되며 서로 평행으로 배열된 다수의 라인 가닥을 포함하고, 스마트폰의 상기 뒷면에 대하여 수직인 방향으로 보았을 때, 코일의 상기 제2 가로방향 직선부 라인 가닥들의 3/4 이상은 상기 제1 가로방향 직선부의 라인 가닥들과 겹치지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는 스마트폰.

- 제5 항에 따른 스마트폰으로서, 자성코어의 제2 면 위에 놓이는 추가적인 자성코어를 구비하며, 안테나 코일의 상기 제2 부분은 상기 자성코어와 추가적인 자성코어 사이에 놓이는 것을 특징으로 하는 스마트폰.
- 제1 항에서 제6 항까지의 청구항 중 어느 하나의 청구항에 따른 스마트폰으로서, 자성코어의 상기 측면은 제2 금속판 부분의 제2 엣지와 대체로 평행을 이루며, 스마트폰의 상기 뒷면에 대하여 수직인 방향으로 보았을 때, 상기 측면은 제1 엣지와 제2 엣지 사이에 놓이도록 제2 엣지로부터 이격되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 스마트폰.

- 제9 항에서 제23 항까지의 청구항 중 어느 하나의 청구항에 따른 스마트폰으로서, 상기 근거리 무선통신 안테나는 상기 비전도성 커버에 부착되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 스마트폰.
- 근거리 무선통신 (NFC) 장치가 마련된 스마트폰을 사용하여 스마트폰 외부의 NFC 단말장치와 근거리 무선통신을 하는 방법으로서,제9 항에서 제24 항까지의 청구항 중 어느 하나의 청구항에 따른 스마트폰을 제공하는 단계와,전파를 발생하기 위하여 안테나 코일에 전류 신호를 공급하여 NFC 단말장치로 보낼 전파를 발생시키는 단계를 포함하며,전류신호의 공급에 의해 발생되는 자계강도(H)가 뒷덮개 상의 위치 중에서 최고값을 갖는 위치는 제1 엣지와 제2 엣지 사이인 것을 특징으로 하는 근거리 무선통신 방법.
