- the advancement is thus directed further to the improvement of payload capacity of wheel loaders which is directed to the weight and volume of its buckets.
- the bucket for loader and/or excavator is specifically obtained to achieve reduction in weight of bucket and thereby increasing the payload capacity such as to facilitate handling more cargo using the same amount of fuel.
- the cost-effective and comparatively light weight bucket for loader and/or excavator is also obtained without in anyway affecting the required rigidity and durability of the bucket for carrying load and yet improve upon the payload capacity of the bucket. Manufacturing process is also simpler.
- the wheeler loader usually have buckets to facilitate mechanical loading and the payload capacity of a wheel loader is directly related to the weight and volume of the bucket.
- standard buckets for loader and/or excavators basically involve the usual buckets which is for the purposes of required handling is essentially required to be stiffened to add rigidity and strength to the bucket for its extremely demanding loading operations.
- stiffeners are usually and conventionally obtained of steel plates such as ASTM A 36, IS 2062.
- steel plates in order to serve the purpose of stiffeners including the longitudinal stiffeners and transverse stiffeners are cut to shape by oxy/plasma torch, the edged being prepared by grinding.
- the torque beam is essentially made by bending plate into "L" shape involving bending machine/hydraulic press. Thereafter, once the stiffeners and torque beam are thus obtained, the stiffeners and the torque beam are welded on top of the bucket.
- the payioad capacity of a wheeler loader is directly related to the weight and volume of its buckets, the higher the weight of the buckets, the payioad capacity is affected due to unavoidable weight of the conventionally used steel plate based stiffeners and/or torque beams. It is therefore, important in terms of fabrication of bucket for loaders and/or excavators to consider advancement in improving the payioad capacity of such buckets thereby facilitating its better end utilities and purposes.
- a further object of the present invention is directed to a bucket for loaders and/or excavators which would be simple and cost-effective to obtain and which would avoid the complex and expensive continuous welding of stiffeners and torque beam.
