  • the chain 11 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 was immersed in the lubricant compositions of the examples and comparative examples in a chain immersion bath. After 10 minutes, the chain 11 was taken out from the tank.
  • the chain 11 to which the lubricant composition of each example was applied had a good appearance without blackening. In the chain 11 to which the lubricant composition of each comparative example was applied, blackening was observed and the appearance was poor.
