Definitions

  • the present invention belongs to the field of medicine, and more specifically to the field of cleaning and disinfection of hospital material.
  • the object of the present invention is a novel sterile container specially designed to contain a three-way key of the type commonly used in hospitals, and which allows a user to manipulate said key without opening the container.
  • the present invention solves the above problems thanks to a novel sterile container that has a transparent area and provided with a flexibility such that a user can deform it to access the key housed therein in order to manipulate it. This avoids the need to constantly open and close the container each time it is desired to change the position of the key or similar element housed in it, so that the risk of contamination decreases to a minimum.
  • the sterile three-way key container or similar element basically comprises a body formed by a lower portion and an upper portion connected by means of a joint, and also has at least three holes for the passage of each via.

In addition, it preferably has minimum dimensions of 3 cm (i.e., 3 cm in diameter in the case of a circular shape and 3 cm by 3 cm in the case of a square shape), since a smaller size would not allow the introduction of the fingers of a user to manipulate the key or similar element. Furthermore, in a preferred embodiment of the invention the lower portion and the upper portion are both completely transparent. This provides extra security to the operator because it can guarantee that there are no fluid losses, either due to poor fit of the connections or due to micro-breakage of the same.
