Description

Mobile device
The present invention relates to a mobile terminal, and more particularly to a battery mounting structure for a mobile terminal.
A mobile terminal such as a smartphone is used by being carried by a user. For this reason, small and thin designs are preferred for portable terminals so that they are convenient to carry. Since the battery built in the portable terminal is greatly related to the thickness of the portable terminal, it is important to arrange the battery efficiently. In addition, even if the user accidentally drops the mobile terminal, it is important to securely fix the battery in order to maintain the battery electrical connection. When designing a mobile terminal, the arrangement and fixing of the battery, which is a main component, is a major design factor.
An example of a battery mounting structure of a portable terminal is described in Patent Document 1. The mobile phone disclosed in Patent Literature 1 includes an upper case having a key operation unit and a lower case having a battery storage unit. The battery housing portion is inclined with respect to the main surface of the upper case, and the bottom surface of the lower case is also inclined with respect to the main surface of the upper case. Therefore, the mobile phone can be reduced in size.
Another example of a battery mounting structure for a portable terminal is described in Patent Document 2. A battery pack holding device for a mobile phone disclosed in Patent Document 2 will be described below. The mounting portion of the telephone body is provided with a fixed convex portion and a positioning convex portion. The battery pack is provided with first and second recesses, an engagement recess, and a positioning recess. A housing portion is formed in the housing, and a sliding hook provided with first and second convex portions and a spring that urges the sliding hook toward the battery pack to generate a pressing force are housed. When the battery pack is mounted, the engaging recess is inserted into the fixed protrusion, and the contact is moved while drawing a rotation trajectory on the support shaft to fit the positioning protrusion into the positioning recess. Further, the inclined surface portion of the second convex portion is brought into press contact with the second concave portion, and the pressing force is divided in the longitudinal direction and the thickness direction to eliminate the backlash of the battery pack. Further, the engagement of the first convex portion and the flat portion of the second concave portion prevents the battery pack from being detached due to an external factor.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
(Comparative example)
First, a portable terminal according to a comparative example examined by the inventors will be described with reference to FIGS.
Referring to FIG. 13, the mobile terminal 91 according to the comparative example is a smartphone. The mobile terminal 91 includes a housing 81, a display unit 21, a sheet 31, a camera module 51, a battery 61, and a protrusion 211. The housing 81 includes a front case 11 and a rear case 41. The front case 11 includes a resin molded body formed of a resin such as polycarbonate and a sheet metal member 111 inserted into the resin molded body. A display unit 21 is attached to the outer surface of the front case 11. A camera module 51, a battery 61, a protruding portion 211, a substrate (not shown), and the like are mounted on the inner surface of the front case 11. The front case 11 is fitted into the rear case 41 so as to close the opening of the rear case 41.
The protruding portion 211 functions as a battery holder that holds and holds the battery 61. The protrusion 211 holds the battery 61 in a posture parallel to the display unit 21. The portable terminal 91 includes an end portion 91a and an end portion 91b opposite to the end portion 91a. The battery 61 includes an end portion 61a and an end portion 61b opposite to the end portion 61a. The end portion 61a is disposed on the end portion 91a side, and the end portion 61b is disposed on the end portion 91b side. The protrusion 211 is disposed on the end 91 b side of the battery 61, and the camera module 51 is disposed on the end 91 b side of the protrusion 211.
The casing 81 needs to have the largest thickness at the place where the camera module 51 is arranged. Since the camera module 51 is disposed in the vicinity of the end portion 91b of the mobile terminal 91, the thickness E81 of the housing 81 in the vicinity of the end portion 91b needs to be maximized. The thickness D81 of the casing 81 in the vicinity of the end 91a needs to be set to a value that can accommodate the battery 61, but can be smaller than the thickness E81. If the thickness of the entire casing 81 is adjusted to the thickness E81, the outer shape of the casing 81 becomes flat, but the entire casing 81 becomes thick and the portable terminal 91 becomes large.
On the other hand, when the thickness of the portion on the end 91b side of the casing 81 is matched with the thickness E81 and the thickness of the portion on the end 91a side of the casing 81 is matched with the thickness D81 smaller than the thickness E81, the end 91a of the casing 81 is obtained. A step is formed between the portion on the side and the portion on the end 91b side. The step is not preferable in terms of design. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 13, it is possible to adopt a shape in which a portion between the portion on the end portion 91b side having the thickness E81 and the portion on the end portion 91a side having the thickness D81 smaller than the thickness E81 is inclined. It is preferable because both downsizing and design can be achieved.
FIG. 14 shows an enlarged portion B1 in the vicinity of 61a at the end of the battery 61 in FIG. The sheet 31 is disposed between the sheet metal member 111 of the front case 11 and the battery 61.
FIG. 15 shows an enlarged portion C1 in the vicinity of the end 61b of the battery 61 in FIG. The protruding portion 211 includes a pedestal portion 211a fixed to the sheet metal member 111 and a holding portion 211b that contacts the end portion 61b. A camera screen 141 is provided at a position of the rear case 41 facing the camera module 51.
(Embodiment 1)
Next, the portable terminal according to the first embodiment will be described. In the following, the case where the mobile terminal is a smartphone will be described. However, the mobile terminal may be a mobile phone other than a smartphone such as a feature phone, a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), or a tablet terminal. The portable terminal may be referred to as a portable electronic terminal or a portable electronic device.
Referring to FIG. 1, the mobile terminal 90 according to the first embodiment includes a housing 80 and a display unit 20. The mobile terminal 90 includes an end 90a and an end 90b opposite to the end 90a. The display unit 20 includes a rectangular display screen 20a. One short side of the display screen 20a is disposed on the end 90a side, and the other short side of the display screen 20a is disposed on the end 90b side.
FIG. 2 shows a cross-sectional view of the mobile terminal 90. The portable terminal 90 includes a battery 60 that is mounted in a housing 80. The battery 60 is a secondary battery that supplies power to an electronic circuit (not shown) mounted on the display unit 20 or the mobile terminal 90, for example. The battery 60 includes an end portion 60a and an end portion 60b opposite to the end portion 60a. The end 60a is disposed on the end 90a side, and the end 60b is disposed on the end 90b side. The casing 80 has a shape in which a portion between an end portion 90b side portion having a thickness E80 and an end portion 90a side portion having a thickness D80 smaller than the thickness E80 is inclined. The battery 60 is disposed in an inclined portion of the housing 80 and is mounted in an inclined posture according to the inclined design of the housing 80. Note that the inclination angle of the battery 60 may coincide with the inclination angle of the inclined portion of the housing 80 or may be smaller than the inclination angle of the inclined portion of the housing 80. The casing 80 mounts the battery 60 in a posture inclined with respect to the display screen 20a so that the end 60a is close to the plane including the display screen 20a and the end 60b is far from the plane including the display screen 20b. The housing 80 is formed with an opening 80a in which the end 60a is disposed.
Referring to FIG. 3, the effect of mounting the battery 60 while being inclined with respect to the display screen 20a will be described. By mounting the battery 60 at an inclination with respect to the display screen 20a, the height at the end 60a of the battery 60 is higher than when the battery 60 is mounted parallel to the display screen 20a (see the broken line portion in FIG. 3). Can be lowered by the difference δ1. Therefore, the thickness D80 can be made smaller than the thickness D81.
With reference to FIG. 4, the effect by forming the opening 80a in which the edge part 60a is arrange | positioned in the housing | casing 80 is demonstrated. By mounting the battery 60 so as to be inclined with respect to the display screen 20 a, only the end 60 a of the battery 60 is disposed in the vicinity of the housing 80. Therefore, an opening 80a in which the end portion 60a is disposed is formed in the housing 80. Specifically, the ridge 60c at the end 60a is buried in the opening 80a. By doing in this way, compared with the case where the battery 60 is mounted in parallel with the display screen 20a (refer to the broken line portion in FIG. 4), the height at the end 60a of the battery 60 can be lowered by the difference δ2. Therefore, the thickness D80 can be further reduced as compared with the thickness D81.
According to the present embodiment, it is possible to provide a portable terminal 90 having an excellent battery mounting structure. The battery mounting structure according to the present embodiment can realize a reduction in the thickness of the mobile terminal 90. Note that the opening 80a only needs to be able to arrange a part of the battery 60, and does not need to be able to arrange the entire battery 60. Specifically, the end 60a is arranged in the opening 80a, but the end 60b is not arranged. Therefore, it is not necessary to increase the size of the opening 80a. Therefore, the strength of the housing 80 is hardly lowered by forming the opening 80a. In addition, since the battery 60 is disposed on the inclined portion of the housing 80 and mounted in an inclined posture in accordance with the inclined design of the housing 80, the design of the mobile terminal 90 is not impaired.
(Embodiment 2)
Next, a portable terminal according to the second embodiment will be described. In the following, description of matters common to the first embodiment and matters obvious from the first embodiment may be omitted.
Referring to FIG. 5, the mobile terminal 90 according to the second embodiment includes a housing 80, a display unit 20, a sheet 30, a camera module 50, a battery 60, and a protrusion 210. The housing 80 includes a front case 10 and a rear case 40. The display unit 20 includes a display glass 120, a display device 220, and a touch panel unit (not shown). The display device 220 is a liquid crystal display (LCD: Liquid Crystal Display) or an organic EL display (OELD: Organic Electroluminescence Display), for example.
The front case 10 includes a resin molded body formed of a resin such as polycarbonate and a sheet metal member 110 inserted into the resin molded body. A display unit 20 is attached to the outer surface of the front case 10. For example, the outer peripheral portion of the display glass 120 is fixed to the front case 10 with a double-sided tape or the like. On the inner surface of the front case 10, a camera module 50, a battery 60, a protrusion 210, a substrate (not shown), and the like are mounted. The front case 10 is fitted into the rear case 40 so as to close the opening of the rear case 40.
The protrusion 210 functions as a battery holder that fixes and holds the battery 60 mounted in the housing 80. The protruding portion 210 holds the battery 60 in a posture inclined with respect to the display portion 20. The end 60 a of the battery 60 is disposed on the end 90 a side of the mobile terminal 90, and the end 60 b of the battery 60 is disposed on the end 90 b side of the mobile terminal 90. The protrusion 210 is disposed on the end 90 b side from the end 60 b of the battery 60, and the camera module 50 is disposed on the end 90 b side from the protrusion 210.
Referring to FIG. 6, an opening 80 a in which the end portion 60 a of the battery 60 is disposed is formed in the sheet metal member 110 of the front case 10. The opening 80 a passes through the sheet metal member 110. That is, the opening 80a passes through the front case 10. It is easy to form the opening 80 a in the sheet metal member 110. Therefore, the mobile terminal 90 can be easily manufactured. Further, the protrusion 210 is formed on the sheet metal member 110.
The sheet 30 is a flexible printed circuit board (FPC) for electrically connecting the end 90 a side and the end 90 b side of the mobile terminal 90. For example, the sheet 30 electrically connects the camera module 50 disposed on the end 90 b side with respect to the battery 60 and a processing device (not illustrated) disposed on the end 90 a side with respect to the battery 60. The seat 30 is disposed between the front case 10 and the battery 60.
FIG. 7 shows an enlarged portion B0 in the vicinity of the end 60a of the battery 60 in FIG. The sheet 30 is disposed between the sheet metal member 110 of the front case 10 and the battery 60. The sheet 30 is dropped into an opening 80 a formed in the sheet metal member 110 and is disposed around the end 60 a of the battery 60. Specifically, the sheet 30 bypasses the ridge 60c buried in the opening 80a.
Referring to FIG. 8, the effect of the sheet 30 being dropped into the opening 80a and arranged around the end 60a of the battery 60 will be described. Compared to the case where the sheet 30 is not dropped into the opening 80a because the sheet 30 is dropped into the opening 80a and arranged around the end 60a of the battery 60 (see the broken line portion in FIG. 8). The height at the end 60a of 60 can be lowered by the difference δ3. Therefore, when it is necessary to dispose the sheet 30 between the battery 60 and the housing 80 (front case 10), the thickness D80 can be made smaller than the thickness D81.
Since the sheet 30 is a flexible printed circuit board, it is possible to connect the circuit disposed on the end 90a side from the battery 60 and the circuit disposed on the end 90b side from the battery 60 while reducing the thickness of the portable terminal 90. . The sheet 30 may be a functional sheet such as a graphite sheet. When the sheet 30 is a graphite sheet, the heat dissipation efficiency of the battery 60 can be improved while the mobile terminal 90 is thinned. Both the sheet 30 as a flexible printed circuit board and the sheet 30 as a graphite sheet may be provided.
FIG. 9 shows an enlarged portion C0 in the vicinity of the end 60b of the battery 60 in FIG. The protruding portion 210 includes a pedestal portion 210 a fixed to the sheet metal member 110 of the housing 80 and a holding portion 210 b that contacts the end portion 60 b. A camera screen 140 is provided at a position facing the camera module 50 of the rear case 40. The pedestal portion 210a includes a portion disposed in the gap between the sheet metal member 110 and the battery 60 and a portion not disposed in the gap. The holding portion 210b is connected to a portion that is not disposed in the gap.
By using the gap between the sheet metal member 110 and the battery 60 generated by inclining the battery 60, the pedestal part 210a can be formed widely. Specifically, since the pedestal portion 210a includes a portion disposed in the gap between the sheet metal member 110 and the battery 60 and a portion not disposed in the gap, the pedestal portion 210a can be widely formed. Therefore, the protrusion 210 for fixing the battery 60 is firmly fixed to the sheet metal member 110 of the housing 80, and the battery 60 is fixed to the front case 10 with certainty. If the user inadvertently drops the mobile terminal 90, the protrusion 210 receives a load when the battery 60 is about to slip due to the impact of dropping. Since the protruding portion 210 is firmly fixed to the housing 80, it is possible to prevent problems such as the protruding portion 210 falling off the housing 80 and the electrical connection of the battery 60 becoming unstable. . Therefore, the connection reliability of the battery 60 built in the terminal 90 can be improved.
FIG. 10 shows an example of a fixing structure for fixing the protrusion 210 to the sheet metal member 110. The pedestal portion 210a of the protrusion 210 is formed on the cut and raised portion 110a of the sheet metal member 110 with a resin such as polycarbonate. The pedestal part 210a is formed so as to wrap the cut and raised part 110a. Since the pedestal part 210a is formed in the cut and raised part 110a, the protruding part 210 is firmly fixed to the sheet metal member 110.
FIG. 11 shows another example of a fixing structure for fixing the protruding portion 210 to the sheet metal member 110. The pedestal 210a of the protrusion 210 is formed in the notch 110b of the sheet metal member 110 with a resin such as polycarbonate. The pedestal part 210a is formed so as to wrap the notch part 110b. Since the pedestal 210a is formed in the notch 110b, the protrusion 210 is firmly fixed to the sheet metal member 110. The notch 110b includes a surface 110d on which the protrusion 210 is provided, and a surface 110c opposite to the surface 110d. A through hole that penetrates the sheet metal member 110 from the surface 110c to the surface 110d is formed in the cutout portion 110b. The pedestal part 210a includes a portion disposed in the through hole. Since the through hole is narrowed from the surface 110c to the surface 110d, the protrusion 210 is difficult to come out of the through hole.
(Embodiment 3)
Next, a portable terminal according to the third embodiment will be described. In the following, description of matters common to the first and second embodiments and matters obvious from the first and second embodiments may be omitted.
Referring to FIG. 12, the mobile terminal 90 according to the third embodiment includes a housing 80, a display unit 20, and a protrusion 210. The casing 80 mounts the battery 60 in a posture inclined with respect to the display screen 20a so that the end 60a is close to the plane including the display screen 20a and the end 60b is far from the plane including the display screen 20a. However, the opening 80a in which the end portion 60a is disposed is not formed in the housing 80.
With reference to FIG. 3, the battery 60 is mounted to be inclined with respect to the display screen 20 a, so that the battery 60 is compared with the case where the battery 60 is mounted in parallel to the display screen 20 a (see the broken line portion in FIG. 3). The height at the end 60a can be reduced by the difference δ1. Therefore, the thickness D80 can be made smaller than the thickness D81.
Referring to FIG. 12, the protrusion 210 functions as a battery holder that fixes and holds the battery 60 mounted in the housing 90. The protruding portion 210 holds the battery 60 in a posture inclined with respect to the display portion 20. The protruding portion 210 includes a pedestal portion 210a fixed to the housing 80 and a holding portion 210b that contacts the end portion 60b. The pedestal portion 210a includes a portion disposed in the gap between the sheet metal member 110 and the battery 60 and a portion not disposed in the gap. The holding portion 210b is connected to a portion that is not disposed in the gap.
Using the gap between the casing 80 and the battery 60 generated by tilting the battery 60, the pedestal part 210a can be widely formed. Specifically, since the pedestal portion 210a includes a portion disposed in the gap between the sheet metal member 110 and the battery 60 and a portion not disposed in the gap, the pedestal portion 210a can be formed widely. Therefore, the protrusion 210 for fixing the battery 60 is firmly fixed to the sheet metal member 110 of the housing 80, and the battery 60 is securely fixed to the housing 80. Therefore, according to this Embodiment, the portable terminal 90 provided with the outstanding battery mounting structure can be provided.
Note that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and can be appropriately changed without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
The present invention has been described above with reference to the embodiment, but the present invention is not limited to the above. Various changes that can be understood by those skilled in the art can be made to the configuration and details of the present invention within the scope of the invention.
