Abstract

L'invention concerne un marqueur métallique auto-déformant permettant de marquer un objet à marquer dans l'organisme pendant un examen ou un traitement radiographique, ledit marqueur étant constitué d'un alliage à mémoire de forme d'une température de transformation de 20 à 37 °C. Lorsque la température est inférieure à la température de transformation, le marqueur prend la forme d'un segment rectiligne de 3 à 100 mm de long et d'un diamètre circulaire ou polygonal de de 0,1 à 1,6 mm; lorsque la température dépasse la température de transformation, le marqueur change de forme et le segment comporte au milieu une bille de marquage d'un diamètre de 1 à 5 mm et/ou une ou deux extrémités repliées ou hélicoïdales. Le marqueur métallique peut être implanté dans le corps à l'aide d'une aiguille fine pour éviter toute lésion que créerait un calibre plus large. Lorsque le marqueur a la forme d'un segment avec bille de marquage relativement large et que les deux extrémités sont repliées ou hélicoïdales, la radioscopie ou l'examen par tomodensitométrie est plus facile, et le déplacement et le décalage ne se produisent pas dans l'organisme, ce qui permet au marqueur de localiser plus précisément la cible et de traiter plus efficacement les tumeurs par radiothérapie.
