Abstract

 アクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22は、送電装置10に設けられたアクティブ電極E11およびE12と電界結合する。アクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22に励起された高周波電圧に基づく電力は、降圧トランス34,整流平滑回路36およびDC-DCコンバータ38を介してモバイル装置46に供給される。CPU44は、無線通信時にスイッチSW21およびS22をオフする。パッシブ電極E22は、アンテナコイル40と磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能する。RF回路42から出力された高周波信号はアンテナコイル40およびパッシブ電極E22を介して送信され、送電回路10から送信された高周波信号はパッシブ電極E22およびアンテナコイル40を介してRF回路42に入力される。

Description

受電装置、送電装置および電力伝送システム
 この発明は、受電装置、送電装置および電力伝送システムに関し、特に電界結合方式に対応する、受電装置、送電装置および電力伝送システムに関する。
 電界結合方式で電力を伝送する装置の一例が特許文献1に開示されている。この装置は、互いに近距離に位置するエネルギー生成装置および消費装置で構成される。また、この装置は、非対称発振電気双極子間の相互作用の形でモデル化され、この双極子は、2つの電極間に置かれた高圧高周波発生器または高圧高周波電荷で構成される。これらの双極子は、互いに相互インフルエンスを及ぼす。電気エネルギーおよび/または情報は、ゆるやかに変化する可変状態であらゆる帯電導体の集合を取り囲むクーロン場を利用して遠隔搬送される。
 また、磁界結合方式で無線通信を行う電子機器の一例が特許文献2に開示されている。この電子機器は、巻回中心部をコイル開口部とするループ状または渦巻き状のコイル導体と、導体開口部およびこれに通じるスリット部を有した導体層とを備える。コイル導体を平面視したとき、コイル開口部は導体開口部と重なり、導体層の面積はコイル導体の形成領域の面積より大きく、コイル開口部および導体開口部を覆うように磁性体シートが設けられる。これによって、通信相手のアンテナよりも小型化しても安定した通信が可能となる。

 しかし、特許文献1の電力伝送および特許文献2の無線通信を単一の装置で実現しようとすると、送受信アンテナおよび送受電用電極の両方を装置に搭載する必要がある。ここで、装置の大きさに制限があると、電力伝送および無線通信の少なくとも一方について所望の性能を確保できない。また、送受信アンテナおよび送受電用電極を近接して配置すると、一方が他方を干渉し、これによって電力伝送性能または無線通信性能が劣化してしまう。
 それゆえに、この発明の主たる目的は、電力伝送性能および無線通信性能の両方を高めることができる、受電装置、送電装置および電力伝送システムを提供することである。
 この発明に従う受電装置(30:実施例で相当する参照符号。以下同じ)は、無線通信用の給電コイル(40)、無線ICチップ(43)と給電回路(42)とを備え、給電コイルを介して高周波信号の送受信を行う近距離無線通信手段(42~43)、送電装置(10)と電界結合する第1電極(E21)、送電装置との無線通信時に給電コイルと磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能し、送電装置からの受電時に第1電極と協働して送電装置と電界結合する第2電極として機能する導電体(E22, E22_1, E22_2)、および電界結合によって第1電極および導電体に励起された交流電圧に基づく電力を負荷(46)に供給する供給手段(34~38)を備える。
 好ましくは、供給手段は、第1電極および導電体に励起された交流電圧を降圧する降圧手段(34)、および降圧手段によって降圧された交流電圧を整流する整流手段(36)を含む。
 好ましくは、無線通信時に第1電極および導電体の少なくとも一方と供給手段との接続を遮断する遮断手段(SW21~SW22, S5~S11)がさらに備えられる。
 好ましくは、第1電極の面積は第2電極の面積よりも小さい。
 好ましくは、送電装置に面する受電面がさらに備えられ、受電面に対して、導電体は第1電極と同じ距離または第1電極よりも遠い距離に設けられ、給電コイルは導電体よりも遠い距離に設けられる。
 好ましくは、導電体は第1電極を囲むように配置される。
 好ましくは、給電コイルは平面コイルであり、そのコイル開口が受電面に対して対向するように配置されるとともに、給電コイルの受電面から遠い側の面に設けられた磁性体(MG)がさらに備えられる。
 この発明に従う送電装置(10)は、無線通信用の給電コイル(26)、無線ICチップ(23)と給電回路(24)とを備え、給電コイルを介して高周波信号の送受信を行う近距離無線通信手段(23~24)、受電装置(30)と電界結合する第1電極(E11)、受電装置との無線通信時に給電コイルと磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能し、受電装置への送電時に第1電極と協働して受電装置と電界結合する第2電極として機能する導電体(E12_1, E12_2)、および交流電圧源(18)から出力された交流電圧を第1電極および導電体に供給する供給手段(20)を備える。
 この発明に従う電力伝送システム(100)は、電界結合方式で交流電圧を送電する送電装置(10)、および送電装置から送電された交流電圧を電界結合方式で受電する受電装置(30)を備える電力伝送システムであって、受電装置は、無線通信用の給電コイル(40)、無線ICチップ(43)と給電回路(42)とを備え、給電コイルを介して高周波信号の送受信を行う近距離無線通信手段(42~43)、送電装置(10)と電界結合する第1電極(E21)、送電装置との無線通信時に給電コイルと磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能し、送電装置からの受電時に第1電極と協働して送電装置と電界結合する第2電極として機能する導電体(E22, E22_1, E22_2)、および電界結合によって第1電極および導電体に励起された交流電圧に基づく電力を負荷(46)に供給する供給手段(34~38)を備える。
 この発明に従う電力伝送システム(100)は、電界結合方式で交流電圧を送電する送電装置(10)、および送電装置から送電された交流電圧を電界結合方式で受電する受電装置(30)を備える電力伝送システムであって、送電装置は、無線通信用の給電コイル(26)、無線ICチップ(23)と給電回路(24)とを備え、給電コイルを介して高周波信号の送受信を行う近距離無線通信手段(23~24)、受電装置(30)と電界結合する第1電極(E11)、受電装置との無線通信時に給電コイルと磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能し、受電装置への送電時に第1電極と協働して受電装置と電界結合する第2電極として機能する導電体(E12_1, E12_2)、および交流電圧源(18)から出力された交流電圧を第1電極および導電体に供給する供給手段(20)を備える。
 この発明によれば、受電時、導電体は電界結合用の第2電極として機能する。送電装置との電界結合は第1電極および導電体によって実現され、第1電極および導電体に励起された交流電圧に基づく電力は供給手段によって負荷に供給される。
 無線通信時、導電体はブースターアンテナとして機能する。送電装置から受信された高周波信号はブースターアンテナおよび給電コイルを介して近距離無線通信手段に入力され、近距離無線通信手段から出力された高周波信号は給電コイルおよびブースターアンテナを介して送電装置に送信される。
 これによって、導電体を電界結合用の電極および無線通信用のアンテナとして共用でき、小型でも電力伝送性能および無線通信性能の両方を高めることができる。
 この発明によれば、送電時、導電体は電界結合用の第2電極として機能する。受電装置との電界結合は第1電極および導電体によって実現され、交流電圧源から出力された交流電圧は、供給手段によって第1電極および導電体に供給される。
 無線通信時、導電体はブースターアンテナとして機能する。近距離無線通信手段から出力された高周波信号は給電コイルおよびブースターアンテナを介して受電装置に送信され、受電装置から受信された高周波信号はブースターアンテナおよび給電コイルを介して近距離無線通信手段に入力される。
 これによって、導電体を電界結合用の電極および無線通信用のアンテナとして共用でき、小型でも電力伝送性能および無線通信性能の両方を高めることができる。
 この発明の上述の目的,その他の目的,特徴および利点は、図面を参照して行う以下の実施例の詳細な説明から一層明らかとなろう。

 図1を参照して、この実施例の電力伝送システム100は、100kHz~10MHzの高周波電圧を電界結合方式で送電する送電装置10と、送電装置10から送電された高周波電圧を電界結合方式で受電する受電装置30とを備える。また、送電装置10および受電装置30は、13.56MHzの高周波信号を通信する無線通信機能を有する。
 送電装置10において、送電すべき高周波電圧は送電回路14によって生成され、高周波信号はCPU22の制御の下でRF-IC23およびRF回路(給電回路)24によって入出力される。なお、RF-IC23は直流電源12bによって駆動される。また、受電装置30において、受電された高周波電圧は受電回路32によって直流電圧に変換され、高周波信号はCPU44の制御の下でRF-IC43およびRF回路(給電回路)42によって入出力される。
 送電回路14に設けられた制御回路16は、100kHz~10MHzの周波数を有するPWM信号を駆動回路18に与える。駆動回路18は、直流電源12aから供給された直流電圧を制御回路16から与えられたPWM信号に従って高周波電圧に変換する。変換された高周波電圧の周波数はPWM信号の周波数と一致し、変換された高周波電圧のレベルはPWM信号のデューティ比に依存する。
 変換された高周波電圧は、昇圧トランス20を形成する一次巻線L1に印加される。昇圧トランス20を形成する二次巻線L2には、変圧比に応じて異なる電圧まで昇圧された高周波電圧が励起される。二次巻線L2の一方端および他方端は、電界結合用のアクティブ電極(小型電極)E11およびパッシブ電極(大型電極)E12と接続される。したがって、昇圧トランス20によって昇圧された高周波電圧は、アクティブ電極E11およびパッシブ電極E12に印加される。
 受電装置30には、電界結合用のアクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22が設けられる。アクティブ電極E21は受電回路32に設けられたスイッチSW21を介して一次巻線L3の一方端と接続され、パッシブ電極E22は受電回路32に設けられたスイッチSW22を介して一次巻線L3の他方端と接続される。
 一次巻線L3は、二次巻線L4とともに降圧トランス34を形成する。また、スイッチSW21およびSW22は、無線通信時を除く時期にCPU44によってオンされる。したがって、送電装置10に設けられたアクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22との電界結合によってアクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22に高周波電圧が励起されると、降圧トランス34の降圧比に応じたレベルを示す高周波電圧が二次コイルL4にも励起される。
 整流平滑回路36は、二次コイルL4に励起された高周波電圧に整流平滑を施す。DC-DCコンバータ38は、これによって生成された直流電圧のレベルを調整し、調整後のレベルを有する直流電圧をモバイル装置46に供給する。
 送電装置10に設けられたRF-IC23は、受電装置30と無線通信を行うとき、ベースバンド信号をRF回路24に与える。RF回路24は与えられたベースバンド信号を高周波信号に変調し、変調された高周波信号を大型のアンテナコイル(給電コイル)26を通して送信する。一方、受電装置30に設けられたCPU44は、送電装置10と無線通信を行うとき、スイッチSW21およびSW22をオフする。これによって、パッシブ電極E22は小型のアンテナコイル(給電コイル)40と磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能する。
 送電装置10から送信された高周波信号は、パッシブ電極E22およびアンテナコイル40を介してRF回路42に入力される。RF回路42は入力された高周波信号をベースバンド信号に復調し、復調されたベースバンド信号をRF-IC43に与える。
 RF-IC43から出力されたベースバンド信号はRF回路42によって高周波信号に変調され、変調された高周波信号はアンテナコイル40およびパッシブ電極E22を介して送信される。送信された高周波信号は、送電回路10のアンテナコイル26を介してRF回路24に入力され、ベースバンド信号に復調される。復調されたバースバンド信号は、RF-IC23に与えられる。
 スイッチSW21およびSW22のオン/オフ制御に関連して、CPU44は、図2に示すフロー図に従う処理を実行する。まずステップS1でスイッチSW21をオンし、ステップS3でスイッチSW22をオンする。ステップS5では無線通信が開始されたか否かを繰り返し判別する。判別結果がNOからYESに更新されると、ステップS7でスイッチSW21をオフし、ステップS9でスイッチSW22をオフする。ステップS11では無線通信が終了されたか否かを繰り返し判別し、判別結果がNOからYESに更新されるとステップS1に戻る。
 ここで、ステップS1とステップS3は逆にしてもよいし、同時に行ってもよい。ステップS7とステップS9も逆にしてもよいし、同時に行ってもよい。
 図3および図4を参照して、受電装置30は、一方主面および他方主面の各々が長方形をなす板状ないし直方体状の筐体RHSを有する。筐体RHSには、バッテリBTが収められ、さらに受電回路32,RF回路42,RF-IC43およびCPU44が実装された受電モジュールRMDが収められる。なお、筐体RHSの一方主面が上面に相当し、筐体RHSの他方主面が下面に相当する。
 図5(A)および図5(B)をさらに参照して、アクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22はいずれも板状に形成される。また、アクティブ電極E21の厚みは、パッシブ電極E22の厚みと一致する。ただし、アクティブ電極E21の主面の面積とパッシブ電極E22の主面の面積とを比較すると、パッシブ電極E22の主面の面積がアクティブ電極E21の主面の面積よりも格段に大きい。また、パッシブ電極E22の主面の中心には、アクティブ電極E21の主面よりも広い矩形の開口OPが形成される。パッシブ電極E22にはさらに、開口OPからパッシブ電極E22の外縁に達する帯状の切り欠きCTが形成される。
 アクティブ電極E21の一方主面の向きはパッシブ電極E22の一方主面の向きと一致し、アクティブ電極E21の他方主面の向きはパッシブ電極E22の他方主面の向きと一致する。ここで、アクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22の各々の一方主面が上面に相当し、アクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22の各々の他方主面が下面に相当する。上方から眺めたとき、アクティブ電極E21は、その主面をなす長辺が開口OPの主面をなす長辺と平行に延びる姿勢で、開口OPの内側に収められる。
 アンテナコイル40は、開口OPの中心を上下方向に延びる軸を中心として螺旋を描くように形成される。螺旋は開口OPの外側に描かれ、螺旋を上方から眺めたときに現れる開口は開口OPよりも広くなる。
 このようなサイズないし形状を有するアクティブ電極E21,パッシブ電極E22およびアンテナコイル40は、樹脂製の透明シートRSの一方主面(=上面)および内部に形成される。具体的には、アクティブ電極E21は透明シートRSの一方主面に形成され、パッシブ電極E22およびアンテナコイル40は透明シートRSの内部に形成される。透明シートの厚み方向(=上下方向)において、アンテナコイル40は、パッシブ電極E22よりも下側に形成される。つまり、パッシブ電極E22は、アクティブ電極E21よりも低い位置に設けられ、アンテナコイル40はパッシブ電極E22よりも低い位置に設けられる。なお、パッシブ電極E22はアクティブ電極E21と同じ高さ位置に設けるようにしてもよい。
 磁性体シートMGは、その一方主面(=上面)が透明シートRSの他方主面(=下面)に当接するように、透明シートRSに貼着される。磁性体シートMGの主面の面積は、パッシブ電極E22の主面の面積よりも小さいものの、開口OPの面積よりも大きい。したがって、下方から眺めたとき、アンテナコイル40は、磁性体シートMGによって覆われる。図3および図4に戻って、透明シートRSおよび磁性体シートMGは、透明シートRSの一方主面が筐体RHSの一方主面の裏側に当接するように筐体RHSに収められる。
 以上の説明から分かるように、電界結合用のパッシブ電極E22は、無線通信時にスイッチSW22のオフによって開放され、アンテナコイル40と磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能する。これによって、小型でも高い無線通信性能が確保される。
 なお、この実施例では、アクティブ電極E21と一次コイルL3の一方端との間にスイッチSW21を設け、パッシブ電極E22と一次コイルL3の他方端との間にスイッチSW22を設けるようにしているが、スイッチSW21を省略してアクティブ電極E21と一次コイルL3の一方端とを直接的に接続するようにしてもよい。また、スイッチSW22を省略してパッシブ電極E22と一次コイルL3の他方端とを直接的に接続してもよい。さらに、スイッチSW21およびSW22の両方を省略してもよい。
 図6を参照して、他の実施例の電力伝送システム100は、受電装置30の構成の一部が図1に示す受電装置30と相違する点を除き、図1~図5実施例と同様であるため、同様の構成に関する重複した説明は省略する。
 図6によれば、パッシブ電極E22の代わりにパッシブ電極E22_1およびE22_2が設けられ、スイッチSW22はパッシブ電極E22_1およびE22_2に共通的に接続される。図7~図9を参照して、アクティブ電極E21は、筐体RHSの一方主面の中央に設けられる。これに対して、パッシブ電極E22_1およびE22_2は、筐体RHSの一方主面をなす長方形の長辺に沿う方向においてアクティブ電極E21を挟むように、筐体RHSの一方主面に設けられる。ここで、アクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22_1~E22_2は、これらの一方主面が筐体RHSの一方主面の裏側に貼着された状態で筐体RHSに収められる。
 アンテナコイル40は、磁性体シートMGの主面の中心を軸として螺旋を描くように、磁性体シートMGの一方主面(=上面)に形成される。アンテナコイル40および磁性体シートMGは、磁性体シートMGの一方主面の向きが筐体RHSの一方主面の向きと一致し、かつ上方から眺めてアンテナコイル40の一部がパッシブ電極E22_2と重複するように筐体RHSに収められる。パッシブ電極E22_2の一方主面は筐体RHSの一方主面の裏側に貼着されるため、アンテナコイル40はパッシブ電極E22_2よりも低い位置に配置される。
 この実施例においても、電界結合用のパッシブ電極E22_1およびE22_2は、無線通信時にスイッチSW22のオフによって開放される。また、パッシブ電極E22_2は、無線通信時にアンテナコイル40と磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能する。これによって、小型でも高い無線通信性能が確保される。
 なお、図6~図9実施例では、アクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22_1~E22_2を筐体RHSの一方主面の裏側に貼着し、受電回路32,RF回路42およびCPU44が実装された受電モジュールRMDと磁性体シートMG上に形成されたアンテナコイル40とを筐体RHSに収めるようにしている。
 しかし、図10~図11に示すように、アクティブ電極E21,パッシブ電極E22_1~E22_2,アンテナコイル40および磁性体シートMGが形成された樹脂製の電極シートRSを作製するとともに、受電回路32,RF回路42およびRF-IC43が実装された外付けの受電モジュールユニットRMDUを作製し、電極シートRSを筐体RHSの一方主面に貼着するとともに、受電モジュールユニットRMDUを筐体RHSに着脱自在に装着するようにしてもよい。
 さらに、図6~図9実施例では、筐体RHSの上方から眺めてアンテナコイル40の一部がパッシブ電極E22_2と重複するように、アンテナコイル40を筐体RHSに収めるようにしている。しかし、筐体RHSの上方から眺めてアンテナコイル40の一部がパッシブ電極E22_1およびE22_2の両方と重複するように、アンテナコイル40を筐体RHSに収めるようにしてもよい。また、さらにアンテナコイル40の一部がアクティブ電極E21と重複するようにしてもよい。この場合、アンテナコイル40は図12に示す態様で形成ないし配置される。
 また、図6~図9実施例では、アクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22_1~E22_2は筐体RHSの一方主面の裏側に設けるようにしている。しかし、図13に示すように、筐体RHSの一方長側面の中央にアクティブ電極E21を設け、筐体RHSの他方主面から一方長側面および他方長側面に及ぶ位置にパッシブ電極E22_1を設け、筐体RHSの一方主面から一方長側面および他方長側面に及ぶ位置にパッシブ電極E22_2を設けるようにしてもよい。このとき、アンテナコイル40は、磁性体MBに巻回されかつ巻回軸が筐体RHSの長側面と直交するように受電モジュールRMDに実装される。また、筐体RHSの一方長側面の上方から眺めてアンテナコイル40の一部がパッシブ電極E22_1およびE22_2の両方と重複される(図14(A)~図14(B)参照)。
 図15を参照して、その他の実施例の電力伝送システム100は、図1に示す電力伝送システム100と共通する構成を含むため、共通する構成については共通の参照番号を割り当てる。なお、この実施例では、アンテナコイル40の方がアンテナコイル26よりも大きい。
 送電装置10は、100kHz~10MHzの高周波電圧を電界結合方式で送電する送電装置10と、送電装置10から送電された高周波電圧を電界結合方式で受電する受電装置30とを備える。また、送電装置10および受電装置30は、13.56MHzの高周波信号を通信する無線通信機能を有する。
 送電装置10においても、送電すべき高周波電圧は送電回路14によって生成され、高周波信号はCPU22の制御の下でRF-IC23およびRF回路24によって入出力される。また、受電装置30において、受電された高周波電圧は受電回路32によって直流電圧に変換され、高周波信号はCPU44の制御の下でRF-IC43およびRF回路42によって入出力される。
 送電回路14に設けられた制御回路16は、100kHz~10MHzの周波数を有するPWM信号を駆動回路18に与える。駆動回路18は、直流電源12から供給された直流電圧を制御回路16から与えられたPWM信号に従って高周波電圧に変換する。変換された高周波電圧の周波数はPWM信号の周波数と一致し、変換された高周波電圧のレベルはPWM信号のデューティ比に依存する。
 変換された高周波電圧は、昇圧トランス20を形成する一次巻線L1に印加される。昇圧トランス20を形成する二次巻線L2には、変圧比に応じて異なる電圧まで昇圧された高周波電圧が励起される。二次巻線L2の一方端はスイッチSW11を介して電界結合用のアクティブ電極(小型電極)E11と接続され、二次巻線L2の他方端はスイッチSW12を介してパッシブ電極(大型電極)E12_1およびE12_2と接続される。
 スイッチSW11およびSW12は、無線通信時を除く時期にCPU22によってオンされる。したがって、送電のために昇圧トランス20によって昇圧された高周波電圧は、スイッチSW11を介してアクティブ電極E11に印加されるとともに、スイッチSW12を介してパッシブ電極E12_1~E12_2に印加される。
 受電装置30には、電界結合用のアクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22が設けられる。アクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22はそれぞれ、二次巻線L4とともに降圧トランス34を形成する一次巻線L3の一方端および他方端と接続される。
 したがって、送電装置10に設けられたアクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22との電界結合によってアクティブ電極E21およびパッシブ電極E22に高周波電圧が励起されると、降圧トランス34の降圧比に応じたレベルを示す高周波電圧が二次コイルL4にも励起される。
 整流平滑回路36は、二次コイルL4に励起された高周波電圧に整流平滑を施す。DC-DCコンバータ38は、これによって生成された直流電圧のレベルを調整し、調整後のレベルを有する直流電圧をモバイル装置46に供給する。
 送電装置10に設けられたCPU22は、受電装置30と無線通信を行うとき、スイッチSW1およびSW2をオフする。これによって、パッシブ電極E12_2はアンテナコイル26と磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能する。
 RF-IC23は、受電装置30と無線通信を行うために、ベースバンド信号をRF回路24に与える。RF回路24は与えられたベースバンド信号を高周波信号に変調し、変調された高周波信号をアンテナコイル26およびパッシブ電極E12_2を通して送信する。
 送信された高周波信号は、受電装置30に設けられたアンテナコイル40を介してRF回路42に入力される。RF回路42は入力された高周波信号をベースバンド信号に復調し、復調されたベースバンド信号をRF-IC43に与える。RF-IC43から出力されたベースバンド信号はRF回路42によって高周波信号に変調され、変調された高周波信号はアンテナコイル40を介して送信される。送信された高周波信号は、送電装置10のアンテナコイル26を介してRF回路24に入力され、ベースバンド信号に復調される。復調されたバースバンド信号は、RF-IC23に与えられる。
 スイッチSW11およびSW12のオン/オフ制御に関連して、CPU22は、図16に示すフロー図に従う処理を実行する。まずステップS21でスイッチSW11をオンし、ステップS23でスイッチSW12をオンする。ステップS25では無線通信が開始されたか否かを繰り返し判別する。判別結果がNOからYESに更新されると、ステップS27でスイッチSW11をオフし、ステップS29でスイッチSW12をオフする。ステップS31では無線通信が終了されたか否かを繰り返し判別し、判別結果がNOからYESに更新されるとステップS21に戻る。
 ここで、ステップS21とステップS23は逆にしてもよいし、同時に行ってもよい。ステップS27とステップS29も逆にしてもよいし、同時に行ってもよい。
 図17および図18を参照して、送電装置10は、一方主面および他方主面の各々が長方形をなす板状ないし直方体状の筐体THSを有する。筐体THSには、送電回路14,CPU22,RF-IC23およびRF回路24が実装された送電モジュールユニットTMDUが着脱自在に装着される。なお、筐体THSの一方主面が上面に相当し、筐体RHSの他方主面が下面に相当する。
 アクティブ電極E11およびパッシブ電極E12_1~E12_2はいずれも、共通の厚みを有して板状に形成される。ただし、パッシブ電極E12_1の主面の面積およびパッシブ電極E12_2の主面の面積は互いに共通するものの、アクティブ電極E11の主面の面積はパッシブ電極E12_1およびE12_2の各々の主面の面積よりも格段に小さい。
 アクティブ電極E11は、筐体THSの一方主面の中央に設けられる。これに対して、パッシブ電極E12_1およびE12_2は、筐体RHSの一方主面をなす長方形の長辺に沿う方向においてアクティブ電極E11を挟むように、筐体THSの一方主面に設けられる。筐体THSの厚み方向(=上下方向)においては、アクティブ電極E11およびパッシブ電極E12_1~E12_2は互いに同じ高さに配置される。
 アンテナコイル26は、磁性体シートMGの主面の中心を軸として螺旋を描くように、磁性体シートMGの一方主面(=上面)に形成される。アンテナコイル26および磁性体シートMGは、磁性体シートMGの一方主面の向きが筐体THSの一方主面の向きと一致し、かつ上方から眺めてアンテナコイル26の一部がパッシブ電極E12_2と重複するように筐体THSに収められる。また、アンテナコイル22はパッシブ電極E12_2よりも低い位置に配置される。
 以上の説明から分かるように、電界結合用のパッシブ電極E12_2は、無線通信時にスイッチSW12のオフによって開放され、アンテナコイル20と磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能する。これによって、送電装置10を小型化しても高い無線通信性能が確保される。
 なお、この実施例では、アクティブ電極E11と二次コイルL2の一方端との間にスイッチSW11を設け、パッシブ電極E12_1およびE12_2の各々と二次コイルL2の他方端との間にスイッチSW12を設けるようにしているが、スイッチSW11を省略してアクティブ電極E11と二次コイルL2の一方端とを直接的に接続するようにしてもよい。また、スイッチSW12を省略してパッシブ電極E12_1およびE12_2と二次コイルL2の他方端とを直接的に接続してもよい。さらに、スイッチSW21およびSW22の両方を省略してもよい。

Claims (10)

  1.  無線通信用の給電コイル、
     無線ICチップと給電回路とを備え、前記給電コイルを介して高周波信号の送受信を行う近距離無線通信手段、
     送電装置と電界結合する第1電極、
     前記送電装置との無線通信時に前記給電コイルと磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能し、前記送電装置からの受電時に前記第1電極と協働して前記送電装置と電界結合する第2電極として機能する導電体、および
     電界結合によって前記第1電極および前記導電体に励起された交流電圧に基づく電力を負荷に供給する供給手段を備える、受電装置。
  2.  前記供給手段は、前記第1電極および前記導電体に励起された交流電圧を降圧する降圧手段、および前記降圧手段によって降圧された交流電圧を整流する整流手段を含む、請求項1記載の受電装置。
  3.  無線通信時に前記第1電極および前記導電体の少なくとも一方と前記供給手段との接続を遮断する遮断手段をさらに備える、請求項1または2記載の受電装置。
  4.  前記第1電極の面積は前記第2電極の面積よりも小さい、請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の受電装置。
  5.  前記送電装置に面する受電面をさらに備え、
     前記受電面に対して、前記導電体は前記第1電極と同じ距離または前記第1電極よりも遠い距離に設けられ、前記給電コイルは前記導電体よりも遠い距離に設けられる、請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の受電装置。
  6.  前記導電体は前記第1電極を囲むように配置される、請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の受電装置。
  7.  前記給電コイルは平面コイルであり、そのコイル開口が前記受電面に対して対向するように配置されるとともに、前記給電コイルの前記受電面から遠い側の面に設けられた磁性体をさらに備える、請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の受電装置。
  8.  無線通信用の給電コイル、
     無線ICチップと給電回路とを備え、前記給電コイルを介して高周波信号の送受信を行う近距離無線通信手段、
     受電装置と電界結合する第1電極、
     前記受電装置との無線通信時に前記給電コイルと磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能し、前記受電装置への送電時に前記第1電極と協働して前記受電装置と電界結合する第2電極として機能する導電体、および
     交流電圧源から出力された交流電圧を前記第1電極および前記導電体に供給する供給手段を備える、送電装置。
  9.  電界結合方式で交流電圧を送電する送電装置、および前記送電装置から送電された交流電圧を前記電界結合方式で受電する受電装置を備える電力伝送システムであって、
     前記受電装置は、
     無線通信用の給電コイル、
     無線ICチップと給電回路とを備え、前記給電コイルを介して高周波信号の送受信を行う近距離無線通信手段、
     前記送電装置と電界結合する第1電極、
     前記送電装置との無線通信時に前記給電コイルと磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能し、前記送電装置からの受電時に前記第1電極と協働して前記送電装置と電界結合する第2電極として機能する導電体、および
     電界結合によって前記第1電極および前記導電体に励起された交流電圧に基づく電力を負荷に供給する供給手段を備える、電力伝送システム。
  10.  電界結合方式で交流電圧を送電する送電装置、および前記送電装置から送電された交流電圧を前記電界結合方式で受電する受電装置を備える電力伝送システムであって、
     前記送電装置は、
     無線通信用の給電コイル、
     無線ICチップと給電回路とを備え、前記給電コイルを介して高周波信号の送受信を行う近距離無線通信手段、
     前記受電装置と電界結合する第1電極、
     前記受電装置との無線通信時に前記給電コイルと磁界結合するブースターアンテナとして機能し、前記受電装置への送電時に前記第1電極と協働して前記受電装置と電界結合する第2電極として機能する導電体、および
     交流電圧源から出力された交流電圧を前記第1電極および前記導電体に供給する供給手段を備える、電力伝送システム。
