- a macro base station (Macro eNB: MeNB) cell may be used simultaneously as a PCell, and a low power base station (Low Power Node: LPN) cell may be used simultaneously as a SCell.
- a bearer is set independently in each of PCell and SCell. The UE communicates with the MeNB via the PCell bearer and communicates with the LPN via the SCell bearer.
- the inventors of the present invention conducted various studies on the continuity of the communication service when a wireless terminal (UE) executing inter-eNB CA performs handover, and found some problems. For example, consider a case where a UE executing inter-eNB CA with a MeNB cell as a PCell and an LPN cell as a SCell hands over to another MeNB, thereby changing the primary cell. If a handover procedure (FIG. 24) of a UE that is executing a normal CA (that is, intra-eNB CA) is applied to this handover, the UE must release the SCell (LPN cell). Therefore, there arises a problem that the service communicated in the SCell is not continued after the handover. The cause of this problem is as follows.
- intra-eNB CA In intra-eNB CA, a common bearer is set in PCell and SCell, the communication status (SN status) in PCell is transferred from source eNB to target eNB, and the UE also holds the communication status. Therefore, in intra-eNB CA, the SCell service is continued after handover based on the communication status in PCell. On the other hand, when the SCell is released by inter-eNB CA, the bearer information of the SCell including the communication status in the SCell is discarded. For this reason, in inter-eNB

Abstract
Description
(Path switch of bearer at eNB1/Cell1 to eNB3/Cell3)。
