- the clip A includes a playback time as a general thumbnail display method, but unlike the PC, a small size of the portable terminal 100 has a disadvantage in that intuitiveness is small.
- the size of the clip such as the playback time or the number of frames, such as the clip B, is displayed at a predetermined level in the thickness of the three-dimensional shape, or the cumulative amount of the frame (rectangle) is differentially displayed, as in the clip C, to improve intuitiveness. You can.
- the visual organization of the clip is not only a simple thumbnail display, but also allows the user to compare a plurality of clips to determine which clip is long and which clip is short, which is important information for the editing process.
- the clip display area 230 may display a plurality of clips by arranging them in the order of generation or position in the editing target video.
- the video editing unit 140 according to an embodiment of the present invention describes a method for generating a clip.
- the video editing unit 140 provides a UI for generating a clip through the touch screen unit 130 and generates a clip by receiving a plurality of frames according to a user's selection.
- the method for generating a clip can be largely divided into the following two embodiments.

- a user selects and inputs an i-th frame in the video display area 210.
- the marker 221 of the progress bar 220 is displayed in white in the initial state in which no frame is input.
- the video editing unit 140 displays the first frame (i-th frame). Recognize the input.
- the marker 221 of the progress bar 220 is changed to black after the first frame for generating the clip is input.
- the change of the marker 221 to black indicates that the input of the first frame is normally performed and the status of waiting for the second frame input.
- the user selects and inputs a second frame (i + m) -th frame in the video display area 210.
- the position of the first marker 221 changed to black is fixed, and the white second marker 221 'for the second frame selection is displayed.
- the video editing unit 140 When the user selects a second frame (i + m) -th frame for creating a clip and drags it to the bottom of the clip display area 230, the video editing unit 140 performs a second frame (i + m). -th frame) is recognized, and a clip "A" including a frame between two frames can be generated.
- the marker 221 ′ of the progress bar 220 is displayed in the initial white color after the clip is generated as the second frame input.
- the second selected frame is located at a later time on the time axis of the video to be edited, compared to the first selected frame.
- the present invention is not limited thereto, and vice versa. Can be selected first and the start frame second.
- the first frame to be selected is not necessarily the start frame but may be a start or last frame, and the second frame may also be a start or last frame.

- FIG. 6 illustrates a frame configuration of an actual clip generated through two frames according to the first embodiment of the present invention.
- the video editing unit 140 when the start frame (i-th frame) and the last frame (i + m th frame) are input according to a user's selection, the video editing unit 140 is located at the rearmost position based on the editing target video.
- the frame (i + m th frame) is not included in the clip, but only substantially up to the immediately preceding frame. That is, the last frame (i + m th frame) of the last frame is excluded when creating the clip.
- FIG. 7 illustrates a frame configuration applied to an actual clip when a P-frame is selected as the last frame according to the first embodiment of the present invention.
- the last frame may be a P-frame in some videos.
- the last I-frame of the edit target video to the last frame of the P-frame is not included in the newly edited clip.
- excluding the last frame of the I-frame unit from the clip in FIGS. 6 and 7 is to speed up the video editing speed by generating a clip based on the I-frame in any video.
- the video editing unit 140 may select the same frame continuously to generate a clip to display the frame for a certain period of time.
- the generated clip may have an editing effect similar to a slow motion during playback.
- FIG. 8 illustrates a clip generation method using a UI according to a second embodiment of the present invention.
- a method of generating a clip by selecting two different frames has been described.
- a plurality of clips are selected by selecting the same frame several times. You can create a clip consisting of the same frames in. That is, the simplest method of continuously displaying the same image is a method of repeatedly displaying a plurality of frames.
- the selected frame is an I-frame
- the size of the video of the clip A generated due to the high bit rate of the same frame may be increased.
- the bit of the first I-frame, the bits of the last I-frame, and the repeat to be played like the clip A '.
- the bit rate can be reduced by inputting time information.
- the bit rate can be reduced by inputting an interval between the two frames with time information or frame number between the two frames.
- the bit rate of repeated I-frames can be omitted, thereby greatly reducing the data amount of the generated clip.
- Figure 9 shows a form of generating various clips according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- the frames of the clip B may be made of some frames of the clip A.
- FIG. 9A shows that any clip portion among a plurality of clips may be part of another clip or may have the same portion as another clip. to be.
