Abstract

The present invention provides a method and device for providing an item shipping route and a terminal device thereof, which can improve user experience when querying the shipping state of an item. The method comprises: receiving position information of items from terminal equipments of a first kind based on a preset time interval during item shipping processes, wherein the terminal equipments of the first kind each has a geographic positioning function and moves along with the items; correspondingly saving the position information and the identifications of the items; after receiving query information for querying an item shipping route from a terminal equipment of a second kind, acquiring, according to a time interval and the identification of an item specified by the query information, the position information of the item within the time interval from the saved position information; drawing the shipping route of the item on a map according to the acquired position information and then outputting the map to the terminal equipment of the second kind.

Description
Method and Device for Providing Item Shipping Route and Terminal Device Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of computer technology, and in particular to a method and device for providing an item shipping route and a terminal device thereof. Background Art
Along with development of economy, modern logistics systems are becoming more and more developed and perfected, and may provide comparatively detailed query services for package shipping route information. A client can query on the shipping state of a delivery item based on an item identification, such as an order number, on a terminal equipment, such as a computer or a smart mobile phone. Currently, shipping states mainly include descriptions based on the respective storage sites of an item, e.g., an item P may start from a sorting center A and reach a delivery address C via a distribution station B. In this case, the shipping states of item P obtained by a user through queries within different time periods may be as following:
2012-7-16 1 :07:21 , in the sorting center A;
2012-7-16 5 :40:56, in the distribution station B;
2012-7-16 7:32:35, a distribution person has started from the distribution station B; please be prepared for receiving the item.
Although the user may obtain the above shipping states, the user is not enabled to learn the shipping states of the item in the process, for example, the state from the sorting center A to the distribution station B, or the state from the distribution station B to the delivery address C, which affects user experience. In view of the above, the present invention provides a method and device for providing an item shipping route and a terminal device thereof, which can improve user experience when querying the shipping states of an item.
In order to achieve the above goal, a method for providing an item shipping route is provided according to one aspect of the present invention. The method for providing an item shipping route of the present application comprises: receiving position information of items from terminal equipments of a first kind based on a preset time interval during item shipping processes, wherein the terminal equipments of the first kind each has a geographic positioning function and moves along with the items; correspondingly saving the position information and the identifications of the items; after receiving query information for querying an item shipping route from a terminal equipment of a second kind, acquiring, according to a time interval and the identification of an item specified by the query information, the position information of the item within the time interval from the saved position information; drawing the shipping route of the item on a map according to the acquired position information and then outputting the map to the terminal equipment of the second kind.
Optionally, the step of correspondingly saving the position information and the identifications of the items comprises: recording the position information of each of the items in one or more entries in a database in association with the identification of the item, wherein one entry records multiple pieces of position information within one preset time period; the step of acquiring, according to a time interval and the identification of the item specified by the query information, the position information of the item within the time interval from the saved position information comprises: determining, according to the time interval, the preset time period covering the time interval, and acquiring the position information of the item belonging to the time interval from the determined preset time period.
Optionally, before the step of receiving position information of items from terminal equipments of a first kind based on a preset time interval during item shipping processes, the method further comprising: transmitting request information at preset time intervals for requesting a terminal equipment of the first kind to return the position information of the current position of an item. Optionally, before the step of outputting the map, the method further comprising: acquiring information of the item, including the identification of the item, a sorting center and a distribution station through which the item will pass on the way, and the destination of the item; drawing in the map a planned path from the current position of the item to the current target position.
A device for providing an item shipping route is provided according to another aspect of the present invention.
The device for providing an item shipping route of the present invention comprises: a receiving module for receiving position information of items from terminal equipments of a first kind based on a preset time interval during item shipping processes, wherein the terminal equipments of the first kind each has a geographic positioning function and moves along with the items; a saving module for correspondingly saving the position information and the identifications of the items; an extracting module for, after receiving query information for querying an item shipping route from a terminal equipment of a second kind, acquiring, according to a time interval and the identification of an item specified by the query information, the position information of the item within the time interval from the saved position information; an outputting module for drawing the item shipping route on a map according to the acquired position information and then outputting the map to the terminal equipment of the second kind.
Optionally, the saving module is further used for recording the position information of each of the items in one or more entries in a database in association with the identification of the item, wherein one entry records multiple pieces of position information within one preset time period; the extracting module is further used for determining, according to the time interval, the preset time period covering the time interval, and acquiring the position information of the item belonging to the time interval from the determined preset time period.
Optionally, the device further comprises a transmitting module for transmitting request information at preset time intervals for requesting a terminal equipment of the first kind to return the position information of the current position of an item. A terminal device is provided according to a further aspect of the present invention.
The terminal device of the present invention comprises: a position acquiring module for acquiring the current position information; a request receiving module for receiving request information requesting the position information; and a request responding module for returning the position information to the party that transmitted the request information.
According to the technical solution of the present invention, by receiving the position information of an item in the shipping process and drawing a route on the map according to the position information, the user is able to learn the accurate current position of the item, so the user can know clearly the shipping progress of the item. In addition, in the data processing of the embodiment of the present invention, the position information is saved according to time periods, which improves the retrieval efficiency of a database of massive data, thereby improving the efficiency of drawing and outputting the map, so that the user can query and rapidly obtain the current position and shipping route of an item.

Therefore, those skilled in the art should appreciate that various changes or modifications can be made with respect the embodiments described herein without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention. Similarly, for clarity and conciseness, the descriptions of the known functions and structures are omitted. Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of the main steps of a method for providing an item shipping route according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in Fig. 1 , the method for providing an item shipping route of the embodiment of the present invention is performed by a server of a logistics center, and mainly includes steps S l l to S 14.
Step S l l : receiving position information of items transmitted from terminal equipments of a first kind based on a preset time interval during item shipping processes. The terminal equipments of the first kind each has a geographic positioning function, e.g., it can utilize the Global Positioning System (GPS) to acquire the current latitude and longitude coordinates, each terminal equipment of the first kind moves along with the items, e.g., it can be mounted on the distribution vehicle or held by the distribution person. The position information of an item can include an item identification, so that when the distribution carrier of the item is changed, e.g., when it is transferred from one distribution vehicle to another distribution vehicle or to a distribution person, the terminal equipment of the first kind for providing the position information of the item will also be changed accordingly, but it will not affect the ability of the server to acquire the position of the item.
The server can transmit request information at preset time intervals for requesting the position information of the current position of the item from a terminal equipment of the first kind.
Step S I 2: correspondingly saving the position information and the identifications of the items.
Step S I 3: after receiving query information for querying an item shipping route from a terminal equipment of a second kind, acquiring, according to a time interval and the identification of an item specified by the query information, the position information of the item within the time interval from the saved position information. Step S 14: drawing the shipping route of the item on a map according to the acquired position information, and then outputting the map to the terminal equipment of the second kind. It can be seen from the above steps that the user can obtain the map including the shipping route of the item by means of a terminal equipment of the second kind, and is thereby enabled to learn the accurate current position of the item. Therefore, the user can know clearly about the shipping progress of the item. Accordingly, the above method can improve user experience.
Preferably, the server can firstly acquire the item information, which mainly includes the identification of the item, the sorting center(s) and the distribution station(s) through which the item will pass on the way, and the item destination; and the server can then draw in the map a planned path from the current position of the item to the current target position, so that the user will know the next movement of the item more clearly.
At step S I 3, the position information of the item within the time interval is acquired from the saved position information. In the cases where the quantity of items is huge, the amount of the saved position information will also be a huge number.
For example, a terminal equipment transmits position information to the server at an interval of one minute, and assume that there are currently 1000 distribution vehicles running, then the number of entries of the positioning information for one day will be: 1000 (vehicles) x 24 (hours) x 60 (minutes) = 14,400,000 (entries). Since one item corresponds to one distribution vehicle, when the position information of one item is queried, there is a need to perform a search from among the 14,400,000 entries of records. If the position information within a longer time range, e.g., ten days, is saved, the number of entries of the position information will reach the magnitude of a hundred million. In this case, the number of records is comparatively large, and the querying and retrieval efficiency of the database will be reduced.
Therefore, in order to improve the retrieval efficiency of the database, at step S 12, the server can record the position information of the items in one or more entries in the database in association with the identifications of the respective items, wherein one entry records multiple pieces of position information within a preset time period (e.g., one hour), so the number of the entries in the database can be reduced. At step S I 3, based on a time interval specified by the query information, the preset time period covering this time interval is first determined, and the position information of the item belonging to the time interval is acquired from the determined preset time period (e.g., one hour as mentioned above).
For example, one array can be specifically established for every vehicle in the server for storing the position information of the vehicle received within a period of time. For example, the position information received between the time 9:00:00 and 9:59:59 is placed in this array, and when the time reaches 10:00, the above received position information is combined to form an XML string and placed in one entry of record in the database, and it is further recorded in the database that the time interval of this section of route is 9:00:00-9:59:59. After that, the above array is cleared, and the positions between 10:00:00 and 10:59:59 are further received and processed. When the time reaches 1 1 :00, the position information is further combined to form an XML string and placed in one entry of record in the database, and it is further recorded in the database that the time interval of this section of route is 10:00:00-10:59:59. In this way, the amount of data for one day is 1000 (vehicles) x 24 (hours) x 1 (one entry of record of the database for one hour) = 24,000 entries of records, from which it can be seen that the number of entries in the database is 1/60 of the 14,400,000 entries as mentioned above. For example, if the route of an item from 9: 40 to 1 1 : 15 is queried, the server retrieves, based on the item identification and the item loading information (i.e., which item is loaded on which vehicle), three entries, from among 24,000 entries of records in the database according to the time information, i.e., those for the periods of 9:00:00-9:59:59, 10:00:00-10:59:59 and 1 1 :00:00-1 1 :59:59. Then, these data are combined, while excluding the position information before 9:40 and after 1 1 : 15, to thereby obtain the position information per minute of the distribution vehicle between 9:40 and 1 1 : 15.
Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram of the basic structure of a device for providing an item shipping route according to an embodiment of the present invention. The device can be provided within the server as mentioned above. As shown in Fig. 2, a device 20 for providing an item shipping route mainly comprises a receiving module 21 , a saving module 22, an extracting module 23, and an outputting module 24.
The receiving module 21 is used for receiving position information of items transmitted from terminal equipments of a first kind based on a preset time interval during item shipping processes, wherein the terminal equipments of the first kind each has a geographic positioning function and moves along with the items. The saving module 23 is used for correspondingly saving the position information and identifications of the items. The extracting module 23 is used for, after receiving query information querying the item shipping route from a terminal equipment of a second kind, extracting, based on a time interval and the identification of an item specified by the query information, the position information of the item within the time interval from the saved position information. The outputting module 24 is used for drawing on a map the shipping route of the item according to the acquired position information and then outputting the map to the terminal equipment of the second kind. The saving module 22 can be further used for recording the position information of each of the items in one or more entries in a database in association with the identification of the item, wherein one entry records multiple pieces of position information within one preset time period; and the extracting module can be further used for determining, based on the time interval, the preset time period covering this time interval, and acquiring the position information of the item belonging to this time interval from the determined preset time period.
The device 20 for providing the shipping route of an item further comprises a transmitting module (not shown) for transmitting request information at a preset time interval for requesting a terminal equipment of the first kind to return the position information of the current position of the item.
The device 20 for providing an item shipping route further comprises an acquiring module and a planning module (now shown), wherein the acquiring module is used for acquiring item information, which includes the identification of an item, the sorting center(s) and distribution station(s) through which the item will pass on the way, and the item destination; the planning module is used for drawing in the map a planned path from the current position of the item to the current target position. With respect to the terminal equipment of the first kind carried by a distribution vehicle or held by a distribution person, a terminal device as shown in Fig. 3 can be provided therein. Fig. 3 is schematic diagram of the basic structure of the terminal device according to an embodiment of the present invention. The terminal device 30 in Fig. 3 mainly comprises a position acquiring module 31 , a request receiving module 23 and a request responding module 33. The position acquiring module 31 is used for acquiring the current position information; the request receiving module 32 is used for receiving request information requesting the position information; and the request responding module 33 is used for returning the position information to the party that transmitted the request information.
According to a technical solution of the present invention, by receiving the position information of an item in the shipping process and drawing a route on the map based on the position information, the user is able to learn the accurate current position of the item, so the user can know clearly the shipping progress of the item. In addition, in the data processing of the embodiment of the present invention, the position information is saved according to time periods, which improves the retrieval efficiency of a database of massive data, thereby improving the efficiency of drawing and outputting the map, so that the user can query and rapidly obtain the current position and shipping route of an item.
The above describes the basic principles of the present invention with reference to the specific embodiments. However, it is necessary to point out that those skilled in the art shall understand that all or any step or part of the method and device of the present invention can be realized through hardware, firmware, software or a combination thereof in any computing device (including a processor, a storage medium, etc.) or a network of computing devices. This can be realized by those skilled in the art by applying their basic programming skills after they read the descriptions of the present invention. Accordingly, the purpose of the present invention can be also achieved by running a program or a set of programs on any computing device. The computing device can be a general device known. Therefore, the purpose of the present invention can also be achieved only by providing a program product including program codes realizing the method or device. That is to say, such a program product also constitutes the present invention, and a storage medium storing such a program product also constitutes the present invention. Obviously, the storage medium can be any known storage medium or any storage medium developed in the future.
It is further necessary to point out that in the device and method of the present invention, the respective parts or the respective steps obviously can be decomposed and/or recombined. These decompositions and/or recombinations shall be regarded as equivalent solutions of the present invention. And the steps performing the above series of processings can be naturally performed in a time sequence according to the described sequence, but are not necessarily performed in the time sequence. Some steps can be performed in parallel or independently of each other. The above specific embodiments do not constitute a restriction on the scope of protection of the present invention. Those skilled in the art shall understand that, based on design requirements and other factors, various modifications, combinations, sub-combinations and substitutions can occur. Any modifications, equivalent substitutions, improvements, etc. within the spirit and principle of the present invention shall be included in the scope of protection of the present invention.

Claims

Claims
1. A method for providing an item shipping route, comprising:
receiving position information of items from terminal equipments of a first kind based on a preset time interval during item shipping processes, wherein the terminal equipments of the first kind each has a geographic positioning function and moves along with the items;
correspondingly saving the position information and the identifications of the items; after receiving query information for querying an item shipping route from a terminal equipment of a second kind, acquiring, according to a time interval and the identification of an item specified by the query information, the position information of the item within the time interval from the saved position information;
drawing the shipping route of the item on a map according to the acquired position information and then outputting the map to the terminal equipment of the second kind.
2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein:
the step of correspondingly saving the position information and the identifications of the items comprises: recording the position information of each of the items in one or more entries in a database in association with the identification of the item, wherein one entry records multiple pieces of position information within one preset time period;
the step of acquiring, according to a time interval and the identification of the item specified by the query information, the position information of the item within the time interval from the saved position information comprises: determining, according to the time interval, the preset time period covering the time interval, and acquiring the position information of the item belonging to the time interval from the determined preset time period.
3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein, before the step of receiving position information of items from terminal equipments of a first kind based on a preset time interval during item shipping processes, the method further comprising: transmitting request information at preset time intervals for requesting a terminal equipment of the first kind to return the position information of the current position of an item.
4. The method according to claim 1 , 2 or 3, wherein, before the step of outputting the map, the method further comprising:
acquiring information of the item, including the identification of the item, a sorting center and a distribution station through which the item will pass on the way, and the destination of the item;
drawing in the map a planned path from the current position of the item to the current target position.
5. A device for providing an item shipping route, comprising:
a receiving module for receiving position information of items from terminal equipments of a first kind based on a preset time interval during item shipping processes, wherein the terminal equipments of the first kind each has a geographic positioning function and moves along with the items;
a saving module for correspondingly saving the position information and the identifications of the items;
an extracting module for, after receiving query information for querying an item shipping route from a terminal equipment of a second kind, acquiring, according to a time interval and the identification of an item specified by the query information, the position information of the item within the time interval from the saved position information;
an outputting module for drawing the item shipping route on a map according to the acquired position information and then outputting the map to the terminal equipment of the second kind.
6. The device according to claim 5, wherein:
the saving module is further used for recording the position information of each of the items in one or more entries in a database in association with the identification of the item, wherein one entry records multiple pieces of position information within one preset time period;
the extracting module is further used for determining, according to the time interval, the preset time period covering the time interval, and acquiring the position information of the item belonging to the time interval from the determined preset time period.
7. The device according to claim 5, further comprising a transmitting module for transmitting request information at preset time intervals for requesting a terminal equipment of the first kind to return the position information of the current position of an item.
8. The device according to claim 5, 6 or 7, further comprising:
an acquiring module for acquiring information of an item, including the identification of the item, a sorting center and a distribution station through which the item will pass on the way, and the destination of the item;
a planning module for drawing in the map a planned path from the current position of the item to the current target position.
9. A terminal device, comprising:
a position acquiring module for acquiring the current position information;
a request receiving module for receiving request information requesting the position information;
a request responding module for returning the position information to the party that transmitted the request information.
