  • the present invention relates to toothpaste for brushing one's teeth and, more particularly, a toothpaste composition and method of applying a single serving of toothpaste to a toothbrush.

Used in conjunction with a toothbrush, toothpaste promotes oral hygiene by aiding the removal of dental plaque and food from the teeth, and often includes fluoride for prevention of tooth and gum disease.
  • Toothpaste is typically stored within a cavity of a handheld container, which may be squeezed by a user to force the toothpaste outwards through an opening in communication with the cavity.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne une composition de dentifrice comprenant différentes combinaisons de gomme de konjac et/ou d'agar-agar, d'alginates, de gélatine, de pectine, de xanthane, de gomme de tara, de gomme arabique, de carraghénine, de cellulose, de gomme de gellane, de gomme de guar, d'inuline, de konjac, de gomme de caroube, de pectine, de gomme adragante, de xanthane, de polyéthylène glycol-3350, de xylitol, de carbonate de calcium, de stévia, de quillaja, d'extrait de bioflavonoïde liquide, et d'eau. La composition de dentifrice produit un dentifrice qui conserve sa forme avant utilisation pour le brossage des dents et est de préférence mis en forme de dose individuelle de dentifrice stockée dans un compartiment à haut ouvert comportant un film protecteur amovible. Une méthode d'application d'une dose individuelle de dentifrice sur une brosse à dents comprend les étapes consistant à appuyer les soies d'une brosse à dents contre la dose individuelle de dentifrice de telle sorte que la dose individuelle de dentifrice s'accroche ou alors adhère aux soies, puis à éloigner la brosse à dents du compartiment pour se brosser les dents.
