The pillar 43 is integrally attached to the tailgate 40. Since the pillar 43 is formed in the tailgate 40, the rigidity can be increased with respect to the external force that can be received from the rear of the vehicle 10.
Since the sub-opening 50 is formed over the tail gate 40 in the vertical direction, the strength of the tail gate 40 is weaker than when the sub-opening 50 is not provided. If the strength is low, elastic deformation may occur in the peripheral portion of the sub-opening 50 due to vibration received from the road surface during traveling of the vehicle. On the other hand, the pillar 43 is provided along the side edge of the sub opening 50. By being provided in the vertical direction along the side edge of the sub-opening 50, the strength of the tailgate 40 can be increased and the occurrence of elastic deformation can be suppressed.
A tailgate window 44 that is an opening for confirming the outside of the vehicle from the passenger compartment is formed on the tailgate 40. The tailgate window 44 is covered with a glass tailgate window panel 45. The tailgate window panel 45 covers the tailgate window 44 and also covers the outside of the pillar 43.
The tailgate window panel 45 can be made of any material as long as it is a transparent panel such as a resin panel in addition to glass. Hereinafter, the tailgate window panel 45 is appropriately referred to as “tailgate window glass 45”.
The sub-opening 50 has a substantially rectangular shape, and includes an upper edge 50 a formed along the upper edge 30 a of the rear opening 30, and a side edge 50 b that is lowered from one end of the upper edge 50 a and extends along the pillar 43. The side edge 50c is lowered from the other end of the upper edge 50a and extends along the side edge 30c of the rear opening 30 and the lower edge 50d connecting the lower ends of these side edges 50b and 50c.
The center line C2 extending in the vertical direction at the center of the vehicle width is sandwiched between the side edges 50b and 50c of the sub-opening 50. That is, the side edges 50b and 50c of the sub-opening 50 are located at a portion that avoids the center of the vehicle width. The width in the vehicle width direction of the sub-opening 50 opened in the tailgate 40 is naturally smaller than the width of the rear opening 30. A center line C <b> 2 extending in the vertical direction is orthogonal to the first opening / closing shaft 21.
The auxiliary door 60 is supported by the pillar 43 through two hinges 80. An axis passing through the centers of the two hinges 80 and extending in the vertical direction is referred to as a second opening / closing shaft 47, and the sub door 60 swings about the second opening / closing shaft 47. The sub door 60 swings in the front-rear direction and the horizontal direction of the vehicle body 11.
The sub door 60 is provided with a sub door knob 61 for releasing the lock state of the sub door 60 in the vicinity of the end in the vehicle width direction. The operator releases the lock state by pulling the sub door knob 61 and swings the sub door 60. The auxiliary door 60 swings from the vehicle width direction end toward the vehicle width center.
A sub door window portion 64 that is an opening for confirming the outside of the vehicle from the passenger compartment is formed on the upper portion of the sub door 60 continuously from the tailgate window portion 44. The sub door window 64 is covered with a glass sub door window panel 65.
The sub door window panel 65 may be made of any material as long as it is a transparent panel other than glass, such as a resin panel. Hereinafter, the sub door window panel 65 will be referred to as “sub door window glass 65” as appropriate.
The tailgate window portion 44 and the sub door window portion 64 have the same height (the length in the vertical direction is the same) and are located at the same position in the height direction. As a result, the tailgate window 44 and the sub door window 64 are integrally continuous. The tailgate window 44 and the sub door window 64 are collectively referred to as “window 70” as appropriate. The window portion 70 is formed over the entire vehicle width direction. Since it is formed over the whole, naturally, the window part 70 is formed in the vehicle width center position at least. The pillar 43 is formed continuously between the side edge 50 b of the sub-opening 50 located in the vicinity of the tailgate window portion 44 and the tailgate window portion 44 in the vertical direction.
W2=0.7×W1。 In particular, referring to FIG. 3, the sub-opening 50 opens over the entire left half of the tailgate 40. Here, “substantially half” means that the width W2 of the sub-opening 50 is 0.3 to 0.7 with respect to the width W1 of the tailgate 40. That is, W2 = 0.3 to 0.7 × W1. In the present invention, it includes 0.5, which is half of the tailgate 40, and includes a range up to 20%. The same applies when the sub-opening 50 is formed in the right half of the tailgate 40. The width of the sub-opening 50 in FIG. 3 is 0.7 × W1 with respect to the width W1 of the tailgate 40. That is, in FIG. 3, W2 = 0.7 × W1.
If the width W2 of the sub-opening 50 is less than 0.3 × W1, the width of the sub-opening 50 is too narrow for loading and unloading luggage and getting on and off people. On the other hand, if the width W2 of the sub-opening 50 exceeds 0.7 × W2, when the sub-door 60 is opened, the amount of protrusion of the sub-door 60 toward the rear of the vehicle becomes too large.
By setting the width W2 of the sub-opening 50 to W2 = 0.3 to 0.7 × W1, that is, approximately half of the width W1 of the tailgate 40, a sufficient space for loading and unloading luggage and getting on and off people is obtained. Can be secured. Further, by suppressing the protrusion amount of the sub door 60, it is possible to prevent the objects around the vehicle 10 from interfering with the sub door 60.
In particular, as shown in FIG. 4, when the center plane CP is a surface extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction through the center line C2 extending vertically in the vehicle width center of the tailgate 40, the window portion 70 is It is formed at a position overlapping the surface CP.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the side edge 50c of the sub-opening 50 extending along the end in the vehicle width direction extends in the vehicle width center C1 extending in the vehicle body longitudinal direction and in the vehicle body vertical direction. It is located on the opposite side to the driver's seat 12 with respect to the vehicle width center C2. On the other hand, the side edge 50b of the sub-opening 50 on the vehicle width center side is located on the driver's seat 12 side with respect to the vehicle width center C1 extending in the vehicle body longitudinal direction and the vehicle width center C2 extending in the vehicle body vertical direction. ing.
The pillar 43 and the second opening / closing shaft 47 are attached to a position overlapping the driver's seat 12 when the vehicle body 11 is viewed from the rear. The second opening / closing shaft 47 extends to the side portion of the side edge 50 b of the sub opening 50. The side edge 50b of the sub-opening 50 can be said to be a side edge on the driver's seat 12 side.
As shown in FIG. 5, the sub door 60 is supported by a closed cross-sectional pillar 43 via a hinge 80. A seal member 85 and a hinge 80 for sealing the sub door 60 and the passenger compartment are attached to the pillar 43. By making the pillar 43 into a closed cross-sectional shape, the rigidity of the pillar 43 can be increased.
The hinge 80 is substantially L-shaped and has a bottom portion 81 attached to the pillar 43, an arm portion 82 extending from the bottom portion 81 toward the rear of the vehicle body, and a sub door 60 attached to the tip of the arm portion 82. It consists of a pin 83 that is supported so as to be swingable, and a reinforcing portion 84 that is passed between the bottom portion 81 and the arm portion 82 and reinforces them. An attached member 67 is fastened to the sub door 60, and a pin 83 is passed through the attached member 67.
The auxiliary door 60 is attached to the tailgate 40 by a hinge 80 so as to be swingable in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. Since the sub door 60 is swingably supported by the hinge 80, the support structure of the sub door 60 can be simplified.
In addition, the support rigidity of the sub door 60 can be increased by supporting the sub door 60 by the hinge 80 on the highly rigid pillar 43.
Next, details of the tailgate window glass 45 and the auxiliary door window glass 65 will be described with reference to FIG.
As FIG. 6 shows, one edge 45a, 65a of each window glass 45, 65 has mutually opposed. Since the edges 45a and 65a of the window glasses 45 and 65 are directly opposed to each other, when the vehicle 10 is viewed from the rear, the window glasses 45 and 65 can be seen integrally, thereby improving the design of the vehicle. Can be increased.
In addition, the edges 45a and 65a of the window glasses 45 and 65 both have an arc shape. The sub door window glass 65 swings together with the sub door 60. By making the edges 45a and 65a of the window glasses 45 and 65 arc-shaped, they are prevented from interfering with each other when swinging. By preventing the interference, the edges 45a and 65a of the window glasses 45 and 65 can be arranged closer to each other, and the design can be further improved.
7 and 8, the operation of the vehicle 10 will be described.
As shown in FIG. 7, when a large load BC is loaded on the vehicle 10, the tailgate 40 is swung upward. Since the rear opening 30 opens to the entire rear portion of the vehicle body 11, a large load can be easily loaded.
As shown in FIG. 8, the rear opening 30 opens over substantially the entire range in the height direction of the rear portion of the vehicle body 11, and the sub-opening 50 opens over substantially the entire range in the height direction of the tailgate 40. . Thereby, the sub opening 50 can be formed over substantially the entire range of the height direction of the rear opening 30. By using the sub-opening 50 having a high height, a person can get on and off from the rear of the vehicle 10.
In addition, when the small luggage SC is loaded on the vehicle 10, the auxiliary door 60 is swung in the horizontal direction. The sub door 60 starts to open from the side edge 50c on the end side in the vehicle width direction of the sub opening 50. The secondary door 60 is lighter than the tailgate 40 because it is part of the tailgate 40. Since it is lighter than the tailgate 40, the opening / closing operation is easy and the operability is excellent.
Referring also to FIG. 3, the sub-opening 50 opens over the entire left half of the tailgate 40. When the sub door 60 is opened, the small loads SC are loaded and unloaded from the sub opening 50, and a hinge 80 for supporting the sub door 60 is attached to a portion of the tailgate 40 where the sub opening 50 is not formed. In order to attach the hinge 80 for supporting the sub door 60 while securing the area of the opening necessary for loading and unloading the small luggage SC by making the entire left half of the tailgate 40 the sub opening 50. Sufficient space can be secured.
The operation of the vehicle 10 during traveling will be described with reference to FIGS.
As shown in the comparative examples of FIGS. 9A and 10A, when the pillar 143 extends in the center of the vehicle width, the pillar 143 overlaps most of the other vehicles OC traveling behind. . For this reason, it is difficult for an occupant to visually recognize another vehicle OC through the room mirror 118. In particular, if the distance between the vehicle 110 and another vehicle OC traveling behind is increased, the other vehicle OC may completely overlap the pillar 143 and may not be visible.
It should be noted that the area shown by hatching between the lines extending from the room mirror 118 shown in FIG. 9A is an area that can be confirmed by the room mirror 118. That is, the area between the areas indicated by the oblique lines is an area where the visibility is hindered by the pillar 143.
9B and 10B, the pillar 43 disposed on the right side (driver's seat side) of the vehicle body 11 blocks a part of the field of view of the room mirror 18. However, since the pillar 43 is moved to the right side, another vehicle OC traveling behind the vehicle 10 can be confirmed by the room mirror 18.
In addition, as shown in FIG. 9C, when the other vehicle OC is traveling in the outer lane with respect to the driver's seat, the side vehicle 19 can confirm the following vehicle OC. it can. Further, as shown in FIG. 9D, the vehicle 10 can sufficiently check the subsequent vehicle OC even during the traveling of the curve.
The operation of the vehicle when reversing in FIG. 11 will be described.
As shown in FIG. 11 (a), the vehicle 10 is retracted and parked in the parking lot P of the store, or as shown in FIG. 11 (b), the driver's seat The vehicle 10 may be moved backward from the opposite side to a place where another vehicle OC is traveling.
Referring also to FIG. 11 (c), even when the vehicle 10 is moved backward, the driver 43 can obtain a wide field of view because the pillar 43 is disposed at a portion overlapping the driver's seat.
In addition to FIGS. 9 and 10 described above, FIG. 3 can be referred to as follows.
The side edges 50b and 50c of the sub-opening 50 are located at a portion avoiding the vehicle width center C2 of the vehicle body 11, and a window portion 70 is provided at the vehicle width center position C2 of the tailgate 40. By providing the window portion 70 at least at the center position C2, a minimum field of view can be secured. Further, since the side edges 50b and 50c of the sub-opening 50 are located at a site avoiding the window portion 70, the side edges 50b and 50c of the sub-opening 50 are prevented from obstructing the field of view. That is, the vehicle 10 according to the present invention can be said to be a vehicle that can ensure high visibility even though the sub door 60 is attached.
In addition, the sub door window portion 64 is formed over both ends of the sub door 60 in the vehicle width direction, and the tail gate window portion 44 is formed over both ends of the tail gate 40 in the vehicle width direction. That is, the window part 70 is formed over the vehicle width direction. By forming the window portion 70 in a wide range while preventing the side edges 50b and 50c of the sub-opening 50 from obstructing the field of view, higher visibility can be ensured.
Furthermore, the tailgate window 44 and the sub door window 64 are located at substantially the same height with respect to the tailgate 40. That is, the tailgate window 44 and the sub door window 64 are formed continuously. A continuous field of view can be obtained in the height direction.
Further, with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, the following can be said.
The vehicle body 11 is provided with a driver seat 12 that is offset with respect to the center C1 and C2 in the vehicle width direction, and the pillar 43 (second opening / closing shaft 47) is positioned so as to overlap the driver seat 12 when the vehicle body 11 is viewed from the rear. Installed on. That is, the pillar 43 (second opening / closing shaft 47) is provided at a position overlapping the driver's seat 12. In the front-rear direction of the vehicle 10, the portion overlapping the driver's seat 12 is a portion that is difficult for the driver Mn to see. In other words, the pillar 43 (second opening / closing shaft 47) is provided to avoid a portion that is easy to enter the field of view of the driver Mn. By avoiding a part that easily enters the field of view of the driver Mn, the field of view of the driver Mn can be secured satisfactorily.
In addition, the side edge 50b on the vehicle width center side of the sub-opening 50 is located on the driver seat 12 side with respect to the vehicle width centers C1 and C2. Since the side edge 50b on the vehicle width center side of the auxiliary opening 50 is located on the driver's seat 12 side, the boundary between the auxiliary door window portion 64 and the tailgate window portion 44 is also located on the driver's seat 12 side. By locating the boundary between the sub door window portion 64 and the tailgate window portion 44 at a position behind the driver's seat 12 that is difficult for the driver Mn to visually recognize, the visibility of the driver Mn can be further ensured.
The operation of the sub door 60 will be described with reference to FIGS.
As shown in the comparative example of FIG. 12A, the vehicle 200 having only the tailgate 240 needs to always open the tailgate 240 when loading and unloading luggage. When the tailgate 240 is opened, the tailgate 240 protrudes toward the rear of the vehicle by the height of the tailgate 240.
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 12 (b), the vehicle 10 according to the embodiment has a sub door 60 attached to a part of the tailgate. The sub door 60 is approximately half the width of the tailgate 40. When the width of the sub door 60 is small, the amount of protrusion of the sub door 60 to the rear of the vehicle 10 can be suppressed by the protrusion difference δ, compared to the case where the tailgate 40 is opened. By suppressing the amount of protrusion to the rear portion of the vehicle 10, it is possible to suppress the installation objects around the vehicle 10 from interfering with the opening and closing of the sub door 60. In other words, a small space is sufficient for loading and unloading work.
As shown in FIG. 13A, in the vehicle 300 according to the comparative example, the sub door 360 opens and closes from the vehicle width center toward the vehicle width end. That is, the sub door 360 opens from the side edge 350b on the vehicle width center side. When a long baggage Ca such as a golf bag or a stroller is placed in the luggage compartment 316 of the vehicle 300, the baggage Ca needs to be sufficiently tilted with respect to the vehicle width so as not to contact the auxiliary door 360. . That is, the inclination angle θ1 is large. However, if an attempt is made to put the luggage Ca in an inclined state, the front end of the luggage Ca may contact the rear seat 315 and may not be stored well.
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 13B, the sub door 60 of the vehicle 10 according to the embodiment opens from the end in the vehicle width direction toward the center of the vehicle width. Since the auxiliary door 60 opens toward the center of the vehicle width, it is only necessary to slightly tilt the luggage Ca with respect to the vehicle width direction when storing the long luggage Ca. That is, the inclination angle θ2 of the load Ca can be small. Thus, since it is sufficient to tilt the luggage Ca slightly, the luggage Ca does not interfere with the rear seat 15 during storage. Therefore, since the rear seat 15 is not interfered with, the long luggage Ca can be easily stored.
As shown in FIG. 14 (a), according to the vehicle 300 according to the comparative example, the auxiliary door 360 starts to open from the vicinity of the vehicle width center of the tailgate 340. The sub door knob for opening the sub door 360 is attached in the vicinity of the portion where the sub door 360 begins to open, that is, in the center of the vehicle width. The occupant who opens the auxiliary door 360 first moves from the passenger seat 313 to the rear corner portion of the vehicle 300. Then, the vehicle moves from the rear corner portion to the center of the rear portion of the vehicle 300 and opens the auxiliary door 360.
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 14B, according to the vehicle 10 according to the embodiment, the sub door 60 starts to open from the vicinity of the end of the tail gate 40 in the vehicle width direction. A sub door knob 61 (FIG. 3) for opening the sub door 60 is attached in the vicinity of a portion where the sub door 60 starts to open. The occupant who opens the auxiliary door 60 first moves from the passenger seat 13 to the rear corner portion of the vehicle 10. Since the rear corner portion of the vehicle 10 and the end portion of the tailgate 40 in the vehicle width direction are close to each other, a sub door knob for opening the sub door 60 is also attached in the vicinity thereof. Therefore, the occupant can open the sub door 60 without moving the vehicle rear to the center of the vehicle width. Since the vehicle rear does not move to the center of the vehicle width, the movement distance of the vehicle periphery can be shortened.
Referring also to FIGS. 1 and 3, the driver's seat 12 is disposed offset to one side with respect to the vehicle width centers C <b> 1 and C <b> 2, and one side edge 50 c (FIG. 4) of the sub-opening 50 is connected to the driver seat 12. Is on the opposite side. That is, the side edge of the sub opening 50 where the sub door 60 begins to open is located on the passenger seat 13 side. When loading and unloading luggage near the roadway, it is desirable to work at a position away from the roadway. According to the present invention, loading and unloading work can be easily performed at a position away from the roadway by adopting a configuration in which the sub door 60 starts to open from the end on the passenger seat 13 side.
