Due to the rigidity of a preferred retainer plate 144, particularly relative to that of a respective preferred cavity mold 146, pressure applied to the guide face 148 by the squeegee 162 during the squeegeeing step may be substantially prevented from compressing or deforming the guide face 148. This may provide at least two potential benefits. First, it may protect a softer and more compressible cavity mold 146 from being depressed by the squeegee 162 during the scraping operation, thereby helping to maintain the integrity of the prosthetic precursors 158 within the cavity mold 146.
  • the later discussed benefit may help provide the first transfer portion 106 with a substantially prosthetic-free zone 178, therefore allowing a kit 100 to incorporate a package portion while preventing any part of that package from sticking to a prosthetic appliance 102 or any other part of the first or second transfer portions.
  • a package portion may be adapted to interact with the other components of a kit 100, wherein the substantially prosthetic-free zone 178 allows the flange section 138 of the bubble element 136 to make direct contact with the first transfer portion 106 while ensuring that such contact remains non-adhesive.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un ensemble et un procédé pour faciliter le transfert d'un appareil prothétique sur la peau d'un porteur. L'ensemble comprend des première et seconde parties de transfert, qui peuvent être sous une forme combinée. La première partie de transfert comprend un appareil prothétique et un film de libération. La seconde partie de transfert comprend un substrat de transfert, une couche adhésive et un revêtement de libération entre eux. La seconde partie de transfert peut comprendre une couche d'étanchéité disposée entre la couche adhésive et le revêtement de libération. L'ensemble peut comprendre une partie emballage qui peut retenir de façon non adhésive les autres composants de façon à protéger et à afficher l'appareil prothétique tout en permettant à la partie emballage d'être ouverte sans endommager le reste de l'ensemble. L'invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication de l'ensemble qui met en jeu l'utilisation d'un moule d'empreinte et d'une plaque de retenue respective pour produire les parties de transfert requises.
