Description
The present invention relates to a double sliding window, and more particularly, to a double sliding window which can provide excellent sealability and thermal insulation property.
In general, buildings respectively have various kinds of windows or doors which are installed on openings of the buildings in order to block out the inside of the building from the outside, and in this instance, frames for supporting the windows or doors are classified into a wooden frame and a metal frame according to used materials. However, recently, the frames for windows or doors are made of plastic or synthetic resin such as PVC.
Now, the process of opening and closing a conventional sliding window will be described. When a user slides the window in a direction that the window is closed in a state where the user grasps a hand-grip of the window, rollers mounted on a lower end portion of the window rotate along a rail on a window frame. Accordingly, the window pane gradually approaches the window frame of the opposite side, and finally, stops by touching the window frame, so that the closing action of the window is finished.
In the case of the conventional sliding window, in order to ventilate, window panes are slid in right and left directions so as to open the window, so that fresh air flows in.
In the meantime, in order to secure a wide view, elevation-split type sliding windows have been proposed.
However, because the conventional elevation-split type sliding window has a window structure of a single pane window concept or a double pane window concept, in the case of the single pane window structure, the conventional elevation-split type sliding window has a problem in that it shows a leakage and a low thermal insulation property due to a single opening type. Moreover, in the case of the double pane window structure, the conventional elevation-split type sliding window shows excellent sealability and thermal insulation property, but has another problem in that load is increased and the structure is complicated due to an increase of size of a window frame.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made in an effort to solve the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior arts, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a double sliding window, which has an interior and exterior elevation structure similar to the conventional elevation-split type double window, but has a slim external appearance and provides excellent sealability and thermal insulation property.
To achieve the above objects, the present invention provides a double sliding window including: a window frame having a plurality of rails disposed in a longitudinal direction; a fixed window mounted inside the window frame; an interior window pane slidably joined to the rails so as to be slidably opened and closed; and an exterior window pane slidably joined to the rails and opposed to the interior window pane with the fixed window interposed between the interior window pane and the exterior window pane, so as to be slidably opened and closed.
In this instance, the rail includes: interior rails disposed oppositely to each other on the interior circumferential surfaces of the upper and lower portions of the window frame so that the interior window pane is joined thereto; and exterior rails spaced apart from the interior rails so that the exterior window pane is joined thereto.
Moreover, a groove is formed between the interior rails and the exterior rails in order to detachably mount the fixed window on the window frame.
Furthermore, the double sliding window further includes: a glass protector disposed on the outer face of the window frame, the glass protector being adapted for blocking at least a lower portion of an opening when the interior window pane and the exterior window pane are opened.
Additionally, the glass protector has a size corresponding to the widths of the interior window pane and the exterior window pane.
In addition, the glass protector is made of one of transparent, translucent and opaque materials.
Moreover, the interior window pane and the exterior window pane have bilateral symmetry in the longitudinal direction of the window frame relative to the fixed window.
The double sliding window according to the present invention can properly control introduction of outdoor air by a user's manipulation to selectively open or close the exterior window pane in a state where the user opens the interior window pane, and has a slim external appearance even though it has an interior and exterior elevation structure similar to the conventional elevation-split type double window, and provides excellent sealability and thermal insulation property.
Moreover, the double sliding window according to the present invention can show a high-class building appearance because its elevation can be freely split into a curtain wall style, provide a wide view because there are no exterior handrail poles, and enhance safety.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a double sliding window according to the present invention, which is viewed from the outside.
FIGS. 2(a) and 2(b) are views showing an interior elevation and an exterior elevation of the double sliding window according to the present invention.
FIG. 3 is a sectional view taken along the line of I-I of FIG. 2(a).
FIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along the line of II-II of FIG. 2(a).
Reference will be now made in detail to the preferred embodiment of the present invention with reference to the attached drawings.
In the drawings, the same components have the same reference numerals even though they are illustrated in different figures.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a double sliding window according to the present invention, which is viewed from the outside, FIGS. 2(a) and 2(b) are views showing an interior elevation and an exterior elevation of the double sliding window according to the present invention, FIG. 3 is a sectional view taken along the line of I-I of FIG. 2(a), and FIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along the line of II-II of FIG. 2(a).
Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the double sliding window 100 according to the present invention includes: a window frame 110 having a plurality of rails 111 disposed in a longitudinal direction; a fixed window 120 mounted inside the window frame 110; an interior window pane 130 slidably joined to the rails 111 so as to be slidably opened and closed; and an exterior window pane 140 slidably joined to the rails 111 and opposed to the interior window pane 130 with the fixed window 120 interposed between the interior window pane 130 and the exterior window pane 140, so as to be slidably opened and closed.
The structure of the double sliding window according to the present invention will be described in detail as follows.
First, the window frame 110 becomes a main outer frame of the sliding window 100, which is formed by a plurality of profiles assembled in a rectangular shape. On upper and lower portions of the inner circumferential surface of the window frame 110, a pair of rails 111 are disposed oppositely to each other. Here, preferably, each of the rails 111 includes: interior rails 111a disposed oppositely to each other on the interior circumferential surfaces of the upper and lower portions of the window frame 110 so that the interior window pane 130 is joined thereto; and exterior rails 111b spaced apart from the interior rails 111a so that the exterior window pane 140 is joined thereto.
The fixed window 120 is fixedly mounted at the inside middle part or at one side of the window frame 110 according to an installation structure of the sliding window 100. Here, preferably, in order to detachably mount the fixed window 120 on the window frame 110, a groove 112 is formed between the interior rails 111a and the exterior rails 111b. Therefore, in the case that the sliding window 100 is maintained or repaired or someone moves the user's stuff, the fixed window 120 and the interior and exterior window panes 130 and 140 can be easily removed from the window frame 110, so that the window frame can be used as a passage for moving the stuff.
Therefore, the fixed window 120 can be changed in its position in various ways according to the elevation split structure of the window frame 110 or the structure of the exterior window pane 140.
The interior window pane 130 is slidably joined to the interior rails 111a of the plural rails 111 disposed on the inner circumferential surfaces of the upper and lower portions of the window frame 110. Here, preferably, the interior window pane 130 is not split in its elevation but has a rectangular shape, and is arranged in such a manner that at least one side of the interior window pane 130 is overlapped with the fixed window 120.
The exterior window pane 140 is slidably joined to the exterior rails 111b in such a manner that the exterior window pane 140 and the interior window pane 130 are opposed to each other with the fixed window 120 interposed between them. The exterior window pane 140 and the interior window pane 130 form a double opening and closing structure to selectively open and close an opening 113 so as to effectively improve sealability and thermal insulation property.
As described above, the interior window pane 130 and the exterior window pane 140 have bilateral symmetry in the longitudinal direction of the window frame 110 relative to the fixed window 120.
In the meantime, a glass protector 150 may be disposed on the outer face of the window frame 110. The glass protector 150 blocks at least a lower portion of the opening 113 when the interior window pane 130 and the exterior window pane 140 are opened, so as to prevent a falling accident or other accident through the opening 113. Here, preferably, the glass protector 150 may have a size corresponding to the widths of the interior window pane 130 and the exterior window pane 140. Particularly, the glass protector 150 can secure a visual field and provide an esthetic sense because it is not partitioned by additional horizontal bars but is formed with tempered glass.
In this instance, the glass protector 150 may be made of one of transparent, translucent and opaque materials. That is, in the case that the glass protector 150 is made of the transparent material, the glass protector 150 can secure a visual field. Moreover, in the case that the glass protector 150 is made of the translucent or opaque material, people cannot look in at the window. As described above, if materials and patterns of the glass protector 150 are selectively applied according to the user's tastes and conveniences, the present invention can obtain various kinds of design.
In the double sliding window 100 according to the present invention, when the user slidably moves the interior window pane 130 to one side, the opening 113 is opened, and the exterior window pane 140 which is opposed to the interior window pane 130 with the fixed window 120 interposed between them is exposed.
In this instance, the user can properly control an amount of outdoor air introduced into the inside through the opening 113 by selectively opening or closing the exterior window pane 140 slidably joined to the opening 113. Additionally, the double sliding window 100 according to the present invention has a slim external appearance even though it has an interior and exterior elevation structure similar to the conventional elevation-split type double window, and provides excellent sealability and thermal insulation property.
Moreover, the double sliding window according to the present invention can show a high-class building appearance because its elevation can be freely split into a curtain wall style, provide a wide view because there are no exterior handrail poles, and enhance safety.
While the present invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to the preferable embodiment thereof, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment and various changes and modifications may be made therein without departing from the technical idea of the present invention.
