Abstract

Изобретение относится к способам генерации излучения на резонансных переходах атомов металлов в возбуждаемых дуговым электрическим разрядом смесях инертных газов с парами металлов. Техническим результатом заявляемого изобретения является повышение эффективности и ресурса источников излучения на резонансных переходах атомов металлов, возбуждаемых в дуговом разряде низкого давления. Технический результат достигается тем, что в способе генерации излучения на резонансных переходах атомов металлов в дуговом разряде низкого давления, включающем возбуждение знакопеременным продольным электрическим разрядом высокой частоты смесей инертных газов с парами металлов, возбуждение разряда проводится по существу прямоугольными импульсами тока со скважностью не более 2,0 и длительностью не более эффективного времени жизни резонансного состояния излучающего атома металла.
