Abstract

Es wird ein Betriebsraum (1) für eine Batteriebank (3) vorgeschlagen, die eine Vielzahl von Bleisäure haltigen Batterien (5) umfasst. Der Betriebsraum (1) ist frei von Mitteln, die einen Austausch mit Außenluft ermöglichen. Im Betriebsraum (1) oder an ihm ist eine Einrichtung (9) zur Entfernung von Wasserstoff (13) aus der Umgebungsluft der Batterien (5) angeordnet. Vorteil des Batterieraums ist es, dass keine Zwangslüftung erfolgen muss, um den von den Batterien generierten Wasserstoff ins Freie weg zu lüften. Eine solche Zwangslüftung ist im Sommer und im Winter mit hohen Energiekosten verbunden, da die Batterien konstant auf eine mittlere Temperatur gehalten werden sollen.
