최근 급속한 정보화시대의 도래에 따라 스마트폰, 스마트패드를 포함한 각종의 휴대폰과 MP3 플레이어, PMP, 네비게이션 등 다양한 디스플레이 장치가 사용되고 있다. 그러나 이들은 대부분 고가의 전자제품들로서 사용자들은 스크래치나 외부의 충격으로부터 이들 디스플레이 장치를 보호하고 외관을 더 돋보이게 치장할 필요성을 느끼고 있다.

본 발명은 몰딩 프레임의 내측에 손상방지부재를 개재하여 몰딩 프레임과 디스플레이 장치와의 접촉을 최소화하면서 다양한 문양의 배면 커버를 간단히 교체 사용할 수 있도록 함으로써 안정적으로 디스플레이 장치를 보호함과 아울러 디스플레이 장치를 다양하게 치장할 수 있도록 하여 제품의 경쟁력을 높일 수 있는 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스를 제공하기 위한 것이다.
본 발명은 디스플레이 장치의 외면에 결합되어 디스플레이 장치를 보호하는 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스는 크기가 다른 제1 몰딩 프레임 및 제2 몰딩 프레임으로 구성되어 상기 디스플레이 장치의 측면을 감싸도록 배치되는 하드 재질의 몰딩 프레임; 및 상기 몰딩 프레임과 상기 디스플레이 장치 사이에 배치되어 상기 디스플레이 장치에 직접 접촉됨으로써 상기 디스플레이 장치의 손상을 방지하는 소프트 재질의 손상방지부재를 포함하며, 상기 손상방지부재는, 상기 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스가 상기 디스플레이 장치에 결합되었을 때, 상기 디스플레이 장치의 측면, 전면 또는 배면으로 일부 노출되도록 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스를 제공한다.

본 발명에 있어서 몰딩 프레임(120)은 디스플레이 장치를 감싸는 사각틀 형상으로 형성되며, 제1 몰딩 프레임(120a) 및 제2 몰딩 프레임(120b)으로 분할된다. 제1 몰딩 프레임(120a)과 제2 몰딩 프레임(120b)은 볼트 체결하여 형성하게 되며, 본 발명의 실시예에 있어서, 제1 몰딩 프레임(120a)이 더 크게 형성되나, 분할 크기는 도시된 형태로 제한되는 것은 아니며 다양하게 선택될 수 있다.

도 4는 도 1에 도시된 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스(100)와 디스플레이 장치(10) 사이에 배면 커버(200)가 삽입될 수 있음을 나타낸 도면이다. 배면 커버(200)는 디스플레이 장치(10)의 배면을 커버함으로서 디스플레이 장치의 노출 면적을 최소화하여 디스플레이 장치의 손상을 더욱 방지할 수 있다. 배면 커버(200)는 도 3에 도시된 실시예의 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스(100)와 디스플레이 장치(10) 사이에도 개재될 수 있음은 물론이다.
또한 배면 커버(200)에는 도 5a 및 도 5b에 예시한 바와 같이 다양한 문양이나 캐릭터를 형성하여 사용할 수 있다. 이러한 문양들은 배면 커버(200)에 실크스크린 인쇄 또는 UV 인쇄하거나 이들을 적층적으로 인쇄하여 형성될 수 있다. 또한 배면 커버의 사출 성형시 문양이 형성된 필름을 인몰드 성형함으로써 형성될 수도 있다. 따라서 다양한 디자인의 배면 커버(200)를 구비하여 교체 사용할 수 있도록 한다면, 디스플레이 장치를 변경하지 않아도 색다른 변화를 줄 수 있어 탁월한 외장 효과를 갖는다.
도 6에 도시된 바와 같이 배면 커버(200)에는 단차부(210)가 형성되어 있어 도 1에 도시된 안착부(111)에 단차부(210)가 안착되도록 배치하면 안정적으로 본 발명의 보호 케이스(100)와 결합할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 도시된 바와 같이 배면 커버(200)가 결합될 디스플레이 장치에 대응하는 곡률도를 갖도록 형성하면, 보호 케이스(100)와 함께 곡률도가 높은 디스플레이 장치의 배면을 유연하게 감쌀 수 있게 된다. 따라서 종래 기술이 곡률도가 높은 디스플레이 장치의 배면에 용이하게 결합되지 않는 단점을 극복할 수 있게 된다.
도 7a 및 도 7b는 도 5a 및 도 5b의 문양이나 캐릭터가 형성된 배면 커버(200)가 본 발명에 따른 보호 케이스(100)와 함께 디스플레이 장치에 결합된 상태의 후면을 도시한 도면이다. 도시된 바와 같이 디스플레이 장치의 배면을 덮는 배면 커버(200)가 결합되어 있으며, 디스플레이 장치의 측면을 몰딩 프레임(120)이 감싸도록 배치되고 디스플레이 장치의 배면으로는 손상방지부재(110)가 노출되게 배치된다. 따라서 손상방지부재(110)는 몰딩 프레임(120)과 디스플레이 장치(10)가 서로 접촉되는 부위를 최소화하여 디스플레이 장치가 몰딩 프레임(120)에 의하여 손상되는 것을 방지할 수 있다. 나아가 전술한 바와 같이 몰딩 프레임(120)과 손상방지부재(110)의 색상을 달리하여 배치한다면, 미관상 더욱 미려해질 수 있으며, 손상방지부재(110)가 고무 또는 실리콘 등의 소프트한 재질로 형성됨으로써 디스플레이 장치가 놓여진 면으로부터 미끄러지는 현상도 방지할 수 있게 된다. 필요에 따라 손상방지부재는 디스플레이 장치의 전면 또는 배면으로 노출되는 것 외에 측면이나 버튼홀들의 주변 등 다양한 부위로 노출됨으로써 디자인이나 실용성을 더욱 개선시킬 수 있음은 물론이다.
따라서 본 발명에 따르면, 몰딩 프레임의 내측에 손상방지부재를 개재하여 몰딩 프레임과 디스플레이 장치와의 접촉을 최소화하면서 다양한 문양의 배면 커버를 간단히 교체 사용할 수 있도록 함으로써 안정적으로 디스플레이 장치를 보호함과 아울러 디스플레이 장치를 다양하게 치장할 수 있도록 하여 제품의 경쟁력을 높일 수 있게 될 것이다.
비록 본 발명의 몇몇 실시예들이 도시되고 설명되었지만, 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 당업자라면 본 발명의 원칙이나 정신에서 벗어나지 않으면서 본 실시예를 변형할 수 있음을 알 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 발명의 범위는 첨부된 청구항과 그 균등물에 의해 정해질 것이다.

Claims (5)

  1. 디스플레이 장치의 외면에 결합되어 디스플레이 장치를 보호하는 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스에 있어서,
    상기 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스는
    크기가 다른 제1 몰딩 프레임 및 제2 몰딩 프레임으로 구성되어 상기 디스플레이 장치의 측면을 감싸도록 배치되는 하드 재질의 몰딩 프레임; 및
    상기 몰딩 프레임과 상기 디스플레이 장치 사이에 배치되어 상기 디스플레이 장치에 직접 접촉됨으로써 상기 디스플레이 장치의 손상을 방지하는 소프트 재질의 손상방지부재를 포함하며,
    상기 제1 몰딩 프레임 및 상기 제2 몰딩 프레임은 볼트, 또는 결합돌기와 결합홈에 의하여 상호 결합되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 몰딩 프레임은 금속 또는 폴리카보네이트 재질로 형성되며,
    상기 손상방지부재는 고무 또는 실리콘 재질로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스.
  3. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 디스플레이 장치의 배면을 커버하는 배면 커버를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스.
  4. 제3항에 있어서,
    상기 배면 커버에는 문양이 인쇄됨을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스.
  5. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 손상방지부재에는 고정식 또는 탈착식 태그가 더 결합될 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치용 보호 케이스.
